I have a question for those who have seen the show. Is it too girl power type of show that men and teenage boys can’t relate and enjoy?

Great article, sounds awesome, probably will never be able to get tix : (

Tik Tok and cruise ships aye? I will use that a s a reverse barometer.........

Though not mentioned in the article, the creators of the show took it back to Edinburgh for an encore run in August 2018, which is where I saw it in a tent theatre shaped like an upside down purple cow. I had an immediate sense that it would go far. What an amazing and fortuitous trajectory it is having!

Great article! Loved the behind the scenes photos of early notes and productions of the show. I've been following the show since August and it's grown so much in such a short amount of time! I'm watching the show in March and I can't wait.
Nonummy (Philly)
Saw it in Sydney Australia, and it was terrific! Can't wait to see it succeed on Broadway!

A wonderful article describing the birth of a show. I enjoyed reading all the details of the endeavor from concept to Broadway. It also proves that a great entertaining Broadway show can be created at a much smaller expense than say the "grand" remake of West Side Story! I just viewed a clip of Six on UTube and want to see it live. I hope Marlow and Moss' next project has as much life, color and good music!

We saw Six on a Norwegian Bliss cruise. What a blast! As we left the theater, not knowing the history of the show, my husband and I declared it should be on Broadway. So happy for everyone involved.

Great in depth article. Loved the details of the evolution of the show!

The entire concept is ridiculous. But why wouldn't it be? It's $$$elling to teenagers.
HKGuy (Hell's Kitchen)
@RW Because musicals like "The King and I" and "The Sound of Music" were so historically accurate. OK, Boomer.
EBC (New York)
@HKGuy Ok, millie. At least those "old musicals" have a felicitous blend of intellect, wit, rhythm, brilliant, sophisticated lyrics, and well-integrated scores.
DR (Manchester)
@RW The concept sounds ridiculous but the show is fantastic. Saw the West End show and it’s fantastic.

I hope it’s booked for a cruise I am taking and that corona virus doesn’t sink it. Break a leg, Six.
Freddie (New York NY)
@Lawyermom - I was going to say earlier that it's great that at least no one's dared do "My Corona," but it turns out 8,000 people already have!
BN (Boston)
Great article, thanks. The way it weaves text, video, sound files, social media, photography, reportage and personal reminiscences together is masterful. I'll see the show!
Becca (New York, NY)
Flew to London to see the show and it was fantastic. Saw it on Broadway last week and every single change they made for the Broadway stage only enhances the show. I plan to see it many more times and hope it has a long run so that many others get the chance too.

I'd love to see them do this in Idaho! Broadway theater is 400 miles away from us (in Seattle), but I think I'd drive all the way to see this!

My husband and I saw Six at ART, went home and thought about it and bought new tickets and saw it all over again. A total blast. The choreography is every bit as wonderful as the lyrics—and the costumes are right on target. Each of the six performers is equally wonderful except maybe Anna of Cleves is the most fun. Bonus points for her sunglasses!

Thanks for the great read. Saw the show at the Shakespeare in Chicago. Lot of fun! Even my husband who hates musicals enjoyed it. Clever lyrics and catchy tunes. These two “kids” have a bright future.

A really great multi-layered piece about creating a musical show. My daughters and I have been streaming the Six album since June. We finally saw it on Saturday night and it lived up to and beyond our expectations. An amazing cast of singers, performers and musicians and show. They are asking when we can go back and see it again.
Matt (Hackettstown, New Jersey)
My wife and I saw SIX last Saturday night, and it was wonderful. Congratulations to the cast and creative team!

Well done. Enjoyed this story from all perspectives: the vehicle for bringing dreams to life; the reality of making it work, artistically and literally; the inspiration of history and truth; the personalities of the co-creators; the likely disappointment of the original cast; the absorption into mainstream performances (cruise ships!); the hope and magic of achieving the ultimate, Broadway; and... how in the world will they find the energy, passion, and imagination to do the next project? Here's to wishing Lin, I mean Lucy and Toby the most amazing future ahead! And congratulations to the writer Michael Paulson for intertwining all of these elements in a readable, absorbing way. You thoroughly interrupted my morning routine :)

I saw it twice in London and when it was previewing in Boston. The songs are emotional, multilayered, and catchy as all get out. I wish them a long run.
