I have been a decades-long addict of man's leather shoulder bags. My favorite is the French Longchamp model, which they might have discontinued.

I know many people follow "fashion" and spend money on very expensive shoes, bags and clothing" but I fail to understand how anyone's designs that fit only very tall, very thin people relate to "real life" nor how quantities of money spent can be justified when so many human beings on the planet die of starvation and lack of water every day. The "designs" are to impress other very wealthy people (like Rihanna and Jenner??) who feel better about themselves when they are 'influencers?" What I would love to see is a designer who shows the SAME clothing on large women (or men), short, heavy people, those with physical challenges (in a chair maybe) and people who do not fit in any specific physical mode. I would also like to see (maybe the same designer) use inexpensive materials so anyone could purchase the clothing (or shoes, bags) and materials that are either recycled or easily sourced. THAT would be extremely creative and useful to the planet, to all people of all backgrounds and show real CLASS, instead of unconsciousness. Not likely to happen given the men who control the "fashion" world. Too bad.

This guy sounds like the anti-fashion fashion leader who lets his work do the talking. Very refreshing.

Love the pouch but no longer spend that kind of money on material things....more interested in experiences, like views from the top of snow-covered mountains.
Denis Pelletier (Montreal)
@Lilly Experiences are not really different than material things. Both are bought and are very much signifiers. Also, both are expressions of consumerism, the real enemy. Experiences can even be less eco-friendly than "things". Furthermore, you often need "things" to enjoy experiences like the view from a snow-covered mountain: hiking boots, technical gear and clothes; vehicle to get to the base of said mountain, etc. Sorry, no "goodie" points from me.

Perhaps she’s simply speaking about how she is allocating her spending!

Sounds like a nice guy. Not being in the fashion capital of the world here in Florida, that twisted shirt seems a bit limited in appeal. None the less looking forward to seeing more.

While this bag may have been inspired by a previous season showcased in the Lauren Hutton movie, the bag is also alarmingly similar to the Prada one Charlotte carries in the SATC movie when they're traveling in Mexico, the one in which she carries her pudding.

That pouch bag looks like a rolled up diaper.

Daniel Lee has ruined T.M.'s Bottega; what happened to the quality, the craftsmanship??? All the old brunito hardware is now a gaudy gold; the new weave is bigger (and cheaper to produce); even the cervo leather is gone!!! I guess Kering just wanted more profit...
Zahari (Burgas)
Lot's a money in bags.
pamela (point reyes)
not really my bag, if you know what i mean. peace.

Met Gala? Playwrights.

I commend Mr. Lee for his ambition and success. However, he has big shoes to fill as far as the leather designs pioneered by his predecessor, Tomas Maier. The classic Veneta with the beautiful weave that is immediately recognizable as Bottega Veneta is changing. I am not a fan of the company providing goods to stylists and models for free publicity, only to have those same items show up on resale sites a few months later. I guess that’s typical for luxury houses, but I had hoped BV would not do the same.

I believe Karl is smiling..........................

Me too. Karl, one year.

I thought the "It Bag" was the Hermes Birkin bag?!?!
Ariana (Vancouver, BC)
@MichaelT You're showing your age!
cdb (Northern New Jersey)
@MichaelT The Birkin is not an "It" bag, it is THE bag.
NR (New York)
@MichaelT , the Birkin is a classic. Very expensive and made in very small numbers. It has a waiting list, unless you have an in to jump the line. An it bag is a bag that seemingly catches the zeitgeist overnight. Suddenly, everyone must have it.
