This article is an interesting in how self absorbed Ms. Fox is (or is made out to be) and in conjuring up reasons why the NYT would want to profile her. I think I get it. It’s a light hearted read and important to the social makeup of NYC to profile young movers and shakers, but surely there are young people who are more interesting subjects who are doing more interesting things that deserve this platform.

An iPhone 5 was a signifier of financial excess? I somehow missed that it was a signifier of anything but a long wearing smartphone. Of course I’m in flyover country, so what do I know—except that I’m pretty sure no matter how much manifestation one does, cigarettes are a sure route to lung cancer.
