“As of 8 a.m., there were delays of 15 minutes or less at Kennedy International, La Guardia and Newark Liberty International Airports.” I've just not had great luck at Kennedy. Maybe getting there super-early is the only answer. Tune of “I’m Henry VIII, I Am” Try Kennedy at 8 a.m. Kennedy looks great at 8 a.m. Most delays are fifteen minutes or less. Later on is anybody’s guess. We hear they’re fixing LaGuardia And Newark still is New York’s finest gem. Though most flights cause hate at Kennedy, Kennedy was great at 8 a.m. Kennedy at 8 a.m.

What snow? I woke up this morning and almost felt cheated of it.

I put my tree-lighting song up every year. Some years, it gets online, some years not. Some years I'm happy, other years it can be a need to fight to make things right. This year, I won't be going anywhere near Rockefeller Center, so I'm more the second half of the song. :) A happy shopper and grumpy shopper come to terms over NYC at Christmas time https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2oyosuNj1jE

Seeing snow removal trucks roaring throughout the city wasting gas, taxpayer money and polluting the air made me sad. Thank you De Blasio’s administration for your great vision...Please don’t blame the weather report

@ZNY - For God's sake, no one can predict the weather. It could have ended up being heavy snow and you would then criticize if the city was not prepared. Mayors are not better predictors of weather than our weather services and those who specialize in this field.

@lkos No one can predict the weather? Neither mayors nor specialized forecasters, yet we are betting our economy's capacity to fight the global climate change based on these same predictors of in-clemency.

@nickytoeandfroe there is a difference between short term predictions and long term trends! We may not know when exactly it will start raining on 42nd street, but we can track that the average temperatures have been rising for a while now.

"You can't just buy your way out of contradictions," says Mr. de Blasio in regard to Mike Bloomberg's presidential bid. No, but evidently you can use other people's money, your rich friends' money, to fight valid corruption charges and just manage to skirt ethics laws. Re "How Much Did It Snow?": Just enough, here in Flatbush, to make leafless shrubs and hostas remnants look lovely. And to cover the litter that accrues on curbs.

@B. - "You can't just buy your way out of contradictions," As the great Marian Seldes would have said: "Of course you can." :)

"Earlier maps relied on straight lines, which riders found disorienting ... So Mr. Siraisi went to work — by riding every train line, with his eyes closed, feeling the curve of each track. Then he drew the paths he perceived in his sketchbook." Amazing.
