This needs a new name, because it is not art, and confusing it with art will destroy art. Art is made by hand and physically exists. Art does not change its substance to suit the times or trends. Technology, by its very nature, excludes art. Preserve art, our most vulnerable creation by honoring it and recognizing it for what it truly is. Do not muddy the waters.

14th St. taking over the universe? Oh wait, no, that's not fair. It's more like Disneyland for "people" who instead of riding into a plastic wonderland with their kids are sipping vertiginous "art lattes" for a momentary buzz. Notice that the social version of AR does not include touching other people. They better add some smells and tastes to this real quick. Otherwise the "people" will get restless and when they reach out for something "haptic" from other "people," no one will be there.

This is great!!! Now artists can tape virtual bananas to virtual canvases, and make &120,000 without getting their hands sticky!! And, change the bananas into bratwursts or cucumbers without removing the tape!! Rembrandt would be proud!!

This is a delightfully new realm of art where the viewer can jump in as reviewer, editor, procreator........!

Love it.

I went for a walk in a forest - it was magnitudes better than this and always will be.

It certainly appeared at this year's Art Basel Miami that video art is on the decline, so hopefully VR art will follow the same trajectory.

Sorry, but I don't need to marvel at the night sky or enjoy a beautiful day at the park only if I can do so by staring at a screen while wearing headphones. It would be a sad day if I ever did.
