Thank you for covering these artists - heartwrenching and necessary for all of us in America, to see and take in.

Why didn't The Times talk to some of the artists? It's as if The Times which, as it has admitted, was instrumental in getting public opinion to go along with the 2003 war, by basically not vetting it's sources and thereby acting as a mouthpiece for the Pentagon and the Bush administration, also in this case is providing an American angle to Iraqi suffering. These reporters, giving their very sterile opinions about artwork by Iraqis depicting their own suffering, are ridiculous. Once again the New York Times is trying to minimize the suffering of the Iraqi people by providing a non Iraqi perspective. For once I'd like to see the New York Times interview a true Iraqi, not a safe one, who was happy to have their country invaded. But a true one who talks about the real suffering that occurred.

Americans act these wars never happened. The Untied States caused over one millions Iraqi deaths. Do Americans even care? Do they realize the destruction we caused in Iraq for Dick Cheney and Halliburton? This is one of the most destructive and unethical wars the US ever caused. We have yet to feel it’s karmic effect...but we will.

If only this exhibit could be seen by every American, to help them understand even a fraction of the grievous harm these wars have done and are still doing, from the communities of victims who so unjustly suffer and are forgotten. I'm grateful that it is still online, as I did not initially notice it on its publication date. I hope it will travel, and that there will be followup on its attendance and reception.
