I read the advice given by the different college students. The one that I found ost enlightening was Maxine Seya. As a person who tends to have the same friends for a long time going to college and having to make new ones has always scared me. The not knowing is what scares me. Not knowing people going into it and not knowing how close I will let myself get to these people. Reading this from someone whos been in this situation is really helpful to know how much to expect out of these friendships. It is hard to imagine making closer friends than I have now, which is kind of pointed out in Maxines advice. She says that it can be hard to find new friends in college when you're used to these 12 year long relationships. This is exactly how I feel it will be for me since ive had the same best friend for 11 years so far and i'm only a sophomore. College is still a while away but this year I feel is the year most start to really think about it.
