The Trump Campaign Is Seeking ‘Hidden’ Women Voters. Impeachment Won’t Help.

Interesting article on how the Republicans are using the same racial tactics they used after 9/11. They went after they went after the soccer moms and gave them talking points on how scared they were for national security and the future of their kids. If anyone is interested in reading more about this, read The Politics of Women.

Sounds like Karen Pence isnt so much bothered anymore by 'locker talk' and paying off porn stars. So much for Christian values.

Women turned against Trump and the GOP in 2018 and that was BEFORE they passed a barrage of forced birth laws. I can think of no good reason for women to support Mr. Trump or the GOP at this point.

I question both the character and the intellect of any woman that votes for trump. I understand the hausfraus who only vote for whatever candidate their husband/daddy tells them to because politics is just too hard for “girls” to understand - but, the young, educated females that support him boggle my mind. I’m sorry to be so cynical, but I think for them in their foolishness they just think they’re being “rebels” without realizing what a horrific impact a misogynistic misfit like trump will have on theirs, and their daughters’ lives down the road. ‘Rebels”, yes - rebels without a clue . . . .

So their campaign strategy is to find largely uneducated woman, who are dependent on "their man" for their financial security - get them to overlook all the criminal treasonous behavior to support a POTUS, who is credibly accused by 20+ women of sexual assault, including the alleged rape of a minor. Women betraying women - attempting to herd the sheep to vote for that. With manufacturing slowing down and the agricultural sector tanked by China tariffs what will they do when the economy continues its march toward recession? They are all just sheep being led to their slaughter.

Mrs. Pence knows exactly who he is and what he’s done. And yet she’s out there supporting him. So much for being a good Christian. Mr. and Mrs. Pence have sold their souls to the devil.

Karen Pence: “This time, we have a record, so it’s like, you can’t tell me stuff on the fake news.” The record is of a thrice-divorced man with 5 children from 3 mothers who in a Playboy interview in 1997 called himself "not very religious," who never missed a chance to walk backstage and ogle the half-clothed children in his Miss Teen USA pageants, who admitted to grabbing women by their genitals, who has dozens of creditable sexual assault accusations pending against him, who cheated with a porn star and a Playboy model then paid them for their silence in violation of campaign laws, who has only 3 woman in his cabinet and who saves his most insulting vitriol for his female critics. So there's your record. Mrs. Pence is telling women to ignore all of the evidence, all of the news reports and articles, all of the words from Trump himself, and from his many victims, and put their fingers in their ears and shout Fake News, Fake News! LALALA. I can't hear you!

Well, this woman and her three daughters won’t vote for Trump. A man who brags about grabbing women by their private parts shouldn’t get a single vote from any self-respecting woman.

There's a reason they're hiding.

Please, just tell us what we can possibly do to bring us together and let this collective nightmare end.

The “courage to stand up for what you believe in?” Let me tell a story about courage. Several months ago my teenage daughter watched David Attenborough’s documentary, Planet Earth 2. She ran - ran - to the back of the house to find me. Shaking, the words came out fast: “he says if nothing is done about climate change, Earth will be uninhabitable... in my lifetime!” The exchange still haunts me. These ladies posit that Trump can run on the issues, and that it’s courage which will let women advocate for him. Courage, in fact, is what my terrified daughter did. She interviewed a scientist, then talked with climate change skeptics hoping they knew something he didn’t, and finally wrote a call-to-action article for her deep red school newspaper. Any woman expressing her “courage” by lauding DJT to me will need to explain how his stance on climate change is reconcilable with something as ordinary, foundational, and taken for granted as motherhood.

Good luck with this effort. He has lost more women voters than they will be able to gain.
ajkagain (New York)
Let me get this straight. In order to convince more women to join the Trump camp, the Republicans are depending on a group of heavily made up, perfectly proportioned Stepford Wives/Barbie Dolls who smilingly reiterate all the talking points included in the Republican daily handout -- which can also be heard in each photo/video op done by every other Republican sycophant or Fox pundit. With absolutely nothing new to say and no real facts used in the creation of their content, what, pray tell, would most women intellectually or emotionally be attracted to? McEnany's confident depiction of Trump's "authenticity"? I think not.

How much does it pay?

@Mister Box You won the Internet today. 😂

That’s a group of “fake” looking females... I believe vacuous is the sense I get.

White women without a college degree have already been scooped up by Trump. There’s no place for growth of support with any group whatsoever. His base is frozen in size.

“This time, we have a record, so it’s like, you can’t tell me stuff on the fake news.” - Mrs. Pence This doesn't even make sense and is devoid of all substance. What record is good for women? The Department of Education has been held in contempt of court for violating an agreement on defunct for profit college loan repayment. The Department of Energy and EPA have tried their hardest to increase pollution and dirty water. Equal pay is laughable, and don't even think that Social Security provides anything more than a poverty-level existence. More and more people are being gunned down in schools, houses of worship, and Wal-Marts. Trump did fail to destroy healthcare, so that's at least a plus. That's the record. Stop lying.
Dorothy (Emerald City)
Have these women forgotten trump’s ‘boy talk?’ I haven’t.
TheOutsider (New York)
The woman the Trump campaign is likeliest to appeal to is white, without a college degree (keep 'em uninformed and poor, both good for recruiting them for the military and telling them whatever made up nonsense we want), married (to a white christian MALE please), unaware of blatant corruption and social injustice (keep 'em misinformed), guileless, uncaring and in denial of common scientific research and facts about basically everything from climate change to abortion, and likely to vote the way her husband does on Election Day. Nice woman you got yourself there, GOP. That's exactly the kind of people we want to have a say in world affairs.
Tony (New York City)
Well these super religious women who stand behind Trump at rallies are doing a good job of looking like fools. I would never want one of those women who applaud putting kids in cages to be my mother, or listen to others who support Trump in the CNN focus group but cant complete a sentence why. That daughter in law is a piece of corrupt work, with her call and response warm up the crowd routine and her plain in sight dislike for minorities or women who actually think. I dont know how many self respecting white women are going to follow the Trump train this time around since they no longer have health care in rural America. however there are many women who stay in abusive relationships cause they love their man.
Phyliss Dalmatian (Wichita, Kansas)
Please, just stay “hidden”. I don’t get out much, but I’ve realized that I can’t remember the last time a saw a person NOT on TV wearing a MAGA hat. And this is in Kansas. Maybe the bloom is off the Cowpie. We can hope, right ???
Tam (San Francisco)
@Phyliss Dalmatian Well that’s encouraging to hear. Here’s hoping!

This really aggressive bullying-type tone is part of what women don’t like about him.” Trump's aggressive bullying-type tone was on full display prior to the 2016 election yet 53% of white women voted for him anyway.
Jennifer (Austin, TX)
Defunding Planned Parenthood is a move that, all by itself, should make women run far, far away from Drumpf and his political party forever.
Greg Tutunjian (Newton,MA)
Any woman supporting Trump should first stand next to him in a packed subway car in August with no A/C.
Laura (Sequim, Wa)
”The authenticity he shows is enough,” said Kayleigh McAneny. It sure is, and it's the reason why I'm a proud never-trumper.
Area Woman (Los Angeles)
@Laura Yeah. It really reaches out and grabs you when you least expect it and won't take no for an answer.
