I am absolutely stunned. First, by the depravity of the doctor and followed closely by the ineptness of the local and federal governments. I also wonder what future these kids can possibly have. How will they afford the medications necessary to reach adulthood? How will they navigate society? It feels like the entire world has become a house of horrors.

I feel sorry for the families, and especially the kids. But this is what you get in a country focused on cross-border terrorism and not its citizens. A failed Islamic, militaristi terrorist state.

Why don't World Health Organization (WHO)has to implement , "ONLY Auto Disable Syringes Are Permitted To Use " policy in practice through UN resolution?. Where there is will there is a way to save mankind on earth. In the age of plastic, it is affordable to use 'one time use -disposable syringes' all over the world. The Prime Minister of India,Mr. Narendra Modi's mission on "One time use plastic" could be stretched to the use of disposable "Only one time use Auto Disable syringes". The global mission to ban the usage of "Ozone depleting substances " , asbestos and few carcinogens in cigarettes could give credible results in the past two decades all over the world. Disdain attitude in any profession would cause an indelible scar on the honest professionals and defeat the very purpose of the mission. When implanting "industrial Silicone" in place of 'Medical Silicone " did occur a few years ago in a developed nations, the article is a wake up call to all human being on this planet.

Every man, woman and child on planet Earth needs a vaccine for HIV. This tragedy highlights why this is so. Please, governments and pharmaceutical companies and research institutions, redouble your efforts to find an effective vaccine, so that this horrific event is NEVER repeated.

As long as people make bad decisions, the AIDS epidemic will rage, unabated. We need a trans-national body that will enact policies to make it impossible for a few bad actors to unintentionally kill infants, children, and other innocents. Will the Trump administration rise to the leadership challenge?
Edward (Midwest)
@Paul Duberstein No. Mr. Trump won't. And you know why.

Both India and Pakistan need to focus on these and similar issues rather than fight over Kashmir.
Krishnan (Washington DC)
@sk Pakistan, I agree. India is simply asserting its governance on India-controlled Pakistan. Pakistan seems to ONLY worry about that - and not its citizens. So please don't lump them together.

@Krishnan: People who live in glass houses do not throw stones on others. Its the same dough mR Krishnan, be India or Pakistan or say BD. Do not forget that over 200 kids died in Gorakhpur in India due to lack of just oxygen. Over 600 million Indians are still on less than $2 a day. Two times the population of USA and three times the population still eases themselves in open!! https://www.trtworld.com/asia/over-200-children-die-at-a-state-run-indian-hospital-10079

I sympathize with poor families and hapless kids. The government of Pakistan should concentrate on basic amenities for people and attain self sufficiency in health, education and welfare rather than going for arms race, nuclear programs and other murky activities. Think about your people and their welfare.. how long do you depend on other countries for funds .. live with respect on your own feet

Isn’t religious induction & practice a wonderful compulsion?

Dr Muzaffar Ghanghro should be charged for manslaughter and for intentionally using used syringes this is a crime against humanity he should serve lifetime in jail
