You know the Russians will buy it and continue to gaslight Americans.

@Mark Gonzalez: Why bother with Russians? Americans are perfectly capable of destroying the country from within.

I've bought and sold domains for 20 years now. Democracy has value as it is a "dictionary word." That is, it is a single word from the dictionary. Those have significantly higher values than ThreeWordDomain.com or domains that conjugate words. The domain market's peak was December 2015. The Chinese were buying domains everywhere. Any three letter .com name (ex: SDY.com) would sell for $75,000 easy. But that has come down. And so did dictionary words. Buyers are looking for domains that have business potential; i.e. a return on investment. Casino/gambling domains are the hottest right now. Anything that is a business. Democracy would have utility during election season only. This diminishes the R.O.I. and subsequently its appeal. I forsee its marketing and it's ability to keep stickiness as being difficult. It's #1 competitor would be Facebook. $300K is actually a fair price for the domain, realistically.

Like ours, the dotcom will be purchased by plutocrats, perhaps disguised within an electoral group designed to simulate democracy.

Perhaps just as telling, future.com has been for sale for years, with no buyer.

"The problem, as he saw it, was that democracy in America was for sale." I wish the Democratic Party would use Democracy.com, or something like that, say, Democracy.US, or what have you. My fear is that Trump is destroying democracy, every day. Maybe, with a Democratic win, we'll have a new democracy wave. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I suggest the use of the "Democracy" song of Leonard Cohen. "Democracy is coming to the USA" ------------------------------------------ Perhaps, the "Democracy" song could go on Democracy.com Maybe the Times could buy the URL and discuss the song? "Democracy is coming to the USA"

I used to own IMPEACHHIM.com. I was getting occasional feelers to buy but no offers while Bush was president, but as soon as Obama became president, even the inquiries stopped. I have not bothered to see who picked it up, but I wish I still owned now.
