Insects seem like a very manageable thing to teach children and have them eat them on a daily basis. Growing up I’ve always had people around me be pretty afraid of bugs and I’m sure the concept of eating them seemed even more so, however despite the actions of those around I hadn’t seen much of a problem with any bug except cockroaches. If someone were to serve a dish with whole bugs on it I’d be skeptical of course, but I think I’d end up eating it for the adventure side of things. One of the world’s crises that are plaguing us is the amount of waste produced when we’re taking care of our farm animals. Entomophagy the act of eating insects is in one way going to be the future of food or another way is it could start being introduced anyway as a food source if we somehow fix the greenhouse gases produced by cows. A reason for the amount of disgust with the idea of insects in general is Christopher Columbus when he met the Indians and saw this act as savagery further cementing the idea that insects are disgusting, along with the colonial era.
