Seth Meyers and Stephen Colbert are the only way I've been able to survive the last year. Thank you SO MUCH for this column! I look forward to it every day! Pardon my exclamation points. But I'm ridiculously excited by finding out I can leave comments here. Keep up the good work!

Seth Meyers is brilliant. He has the very best writers, in my opinion. Stephen Colbert mimics Trump better, but Meyers has the top writers. A distant third is Jimmy Fallon.

“Trump’s like a mobster who instead of throwing a body in the trunk, throws it in the passenger seat so he can use the car pool lane." Mr Meyers - you have summed up the nightmare of these past few years with one brilliant, skewering, and horrifyingly true sound bite. Well done!

When will our brilliant comedians (and investigative journalists) calculate the total cost of the outrageous, unending Trump-centered **waste**: of taxpayers’ money, of natural and human resources, of faith in our elected officials, of government staff time (especially when yet another high-ranking-yet-inept/corrupt appointee resigns), of the USA’s international reputation, of irreplaceable opportunities to address climate change, etc. etc.? Have we reached USD $1 trillion yet? More? Or are the impacts so pernicious, so long-lasting that we will never realize how massively we’ve been robbed?

@Jeanine Pfeiffer so what do you propose; submit to trump's will?
kenneth (nyc)
@Brad If he made a will, the United States isn't in it.
Brad (Oregon)
@kenneth I agree with your comment. trump is all about trump's own self interests. I'm not certain what Jeanine is saying.

Thank goodness for the Yucks. It's my only solace in this nightmare presidency.

I’m having trouble laughing with these witty comics when I know the jokes make my rural neighbors disgusted and angry. They will vote in their millions for Trump as he is “their guy”, and dream of the retaliation to be taken against those laughing elites and the elite’s comics in Trumps second term.

Seth Myers: "No one deserves to be dragged down by Donald Trump more than Mike Pence." Can't disagree with that!
Donald Forbes (Boston Ma.)
Once a slum lord always a slum lord. The urban citizens understand this the rural citizens have no experience with this type of person.

I’ve been a big fan of Meyers and Bee, but I’ve hit my limit. None of this is funny and our nation is being ruled by an unstable narcissist, a bunch of his toadies in Congress and his (rhymes with adorable) supporters.

@Brad We have 2 choices: laughing or crying. If we choose crying, the tears will cloud our vision.

@Brad The difference between Bee and the rest is that Bee, raunchy as she is, actually does segments that bring into focus issues not covered in the main stream press. Whereas the guys on late night are basically reacting to the front page of the NYX and Trump's own Twitter account. Yeah, watching them all can at least let off a little steam, but Bee's program is invaluable in a different way. Float like a late night host, sting like a Bee.
