Fired or resigned? Does it matter? Bolton's not applying for unemployment.

. I've read that Bolton was hired at the insistence of Shel Adelson. Believable, inasmuch as Bolton puts Netanyahu's interests ahead of US national security. Bolton's mission was to start more wars, and to ramp up the existing wars. This is not only a radical upgrade to the National Security team, from "zero" to merely failing, this was essential for Trump to have any shot at reelection. Thnx, Trump, for this one instance of putting American interests first. .

I love the Daily. It turned me into a digital subscriber of the Times. And Michael is great. But the cutesy pre-interview banter creeping into the top of episodes is just painful. It's off-brand and adds absolutely nothing to the show.

He was in his The Apprentice mode, which of course he loves. Fired, resigned, who knows and who cares. This administration has always been and will continue to be about chaos and second guessing. Thankfully it's just a matter of time and they will set off into the sunset, or perhaps a hurricane.

Bolton was appointed to to the bidding of the president-if he cannot, get a replacement.

Was he fired, or did he resign? It's interesting how little it matters which it was. It seems clear to me now, after watching the president play loosy-goosy with the truth, and after the recent Alabama weather report a la Trump, how little politics matter when truth is not involved.

Back, way back, in my old separation-issue adjudication days with the unemployment insurance agency, we'd ask 'em, "Would (he/you) have been permitted to continue to work if (he/you) hadn't resigned?" So, given the facts known, it's "John Bolton was discharged from employment with the federal government."

I listen to this podcast daily, and I appreciate the content. However, I would vastly prefer it if you could dial down the production values-- all those background music bridges, cutesy asides, Barbaro's uh-huhs, and so on. That stuff is extremely annoying. I suspect you have all been brought up on This American Life, but yours is a news program, not a quirky take on the way we live. Please clean up your act.

His Uh-s are one of my favorites and he does it at perfect times. I have been listening to this show for more than a year, and Micheal is absolutely amazing and so too his colleagues.

Mr. Trump is not certain what he wants in his NSA. In his search for his fourth NSA, he will be going on a political fishing trip. Whoever he picks likely will be a misfit unless he picks one who is a complete sycophant.

Did Bolton resign or was he fired? "I don't care, do you?" I'm delighted as long as he, the mustache, and his warmongering advice are permanently out of Washington politics. That would be the cherry on top.
