Unfortunately, a disastrous Oswald and generally weak ancillary characters spoiled this evening for us - in spite of Ms. Thurman.

It feels like not all that long ago when Trip Cullman seemed to be just some guy constantly posting on the internet with a colorful name. Now, he seems to always be associated with such amazing theater. Congrats to him! I wonder if he posts online under a pseudonym now. I did check "a syphilitic debauchee" to see if it's a new term coined for this review, but google says the expression's actually been around before. It feels like it could be a "Drowsy Chaperone" for the mood of the Donald years. Recalling Rodney Dangerfield talking about terrible morality, that his doctor "had six cases of social disease last week - but he's feeling OK now." (He didn't say "social disease," but "a syphilitic debauchee" certainly brought that line from the Johnny Carson years to mind.)
