I noticed you didn’t say anything about your kitchen or dining room so I wanted to let you know that I will be in your neighborhood visiting a friend in early August & want to cook & share a meal with you guys. My grandmother had barkcloth curtains with a Grandma Moses' design on them. I haven't thought about them for years, but I used to love to look at them. Thanks for the memories!

One of my fondest memories is from Valentines night at the, now closed, Hoedown Bar and Dance Club in Atlanta.
My friends and I saw two gray haired gentlemen dressed as Colonel Sanders, identical white suits and red string ties and all, dancing cheek to cheek.

Gloriously joyful and fun! I can imagine a perfect afternoon would be to sit in an Obama print chair and imagine what fantastic clothes those Carol Channing trunks once held. Thank you to these lovely men and to the New York Times for sharing a glimpse into their marvelous home.

I appreciate the eccentricity and their joy in such unusual collections, such as people standing in front of Mr. Vernon. The bedroom though was a welcome relief from all the stuff, which as much as I found it interesting, was also exhausting. It just reminds me that no matter how many things you get, it's never enough.
