I loved the line comparing the actress's skin to Barbie doll plastic!

Guys, where's Audrina!?

No one reading this and possessing half a brain would ever watch this show. Thank you NYT.

“By now, you may be pretending you don’t know any of this, but you do, at least some of it, the same way we all know it, which is that your brain has adapted to the new millenium by functioning like one of those Roomba vacuums- just passively sweeping up information, hoping its human will come home and dislodge it from beneath the sofa.” Thank you Irina Aleksander for that hilarious piece of writing. I needed the laugh.

Can't stand the content, but the industry, structure and audacity of this strain of capitalism...what a pending trainwreck. And, "...her new Christian single, which is exactly what it sounds like..." -- more shade than all of Hollywood's fake palm trees.

What a crazy world when Lauren Conrad is too big to take the part of a reboot so they got a real TV start...Mischa Barton Kind of like hiring a TV star to pretend to be the president

I'm 48 and I've never watch TV or streamed it. Well, not since we watched Dukes of Hazard and Growing Pains as as family. But, still, I read this because I like keep some semblance of understanding of pop culture /TV. I can appreciate that others enjoy it and value it, even though I do not. Ohdeargodinheaven what is this nonsense? Shallow, horrible. I see nothing redeeming.

Describing the reveal in the finale of the original series as a scene between Brody Jenner and “love interest” is frustrating. Kristin Cavallari was a main character on both Laguna Beach and The Hills. Describing a female lead as simply the love interest in the finale scene of the show that invented the genre and that blew it wide open is just sexist.

I can't imagine a day when I would waste my time watching this show, but the time spent reading this article was totally worth it. Thanks for the laugh, I really needed it this morning!

Good for Lauren Conrad for getting a life and moving on with it. Clearly these undignified people have done neither.

great, another all white cast of people with no real problems!!

I absolutely loved The Hills in high school and love KKUWTK. I am so excited for its return and this article made me even more excited. Sometimes reality tv can be great for simply turning off your brain and enjoying it for what it is. As a medical student, I can safely say that my IQ did not suffer from all the tv I watched growing up : )

Heaven help us if this passes for entertainment in America. But then why am I surprised - look at the kook in the White House. Ugh.

I often wonder how much higher the collective IQ of America would be today without the advent of reality TV.

I honestly didn't expect to be this entertained from this article. Still chuckling to myself from words not said but scenes depicted in the article.
Jennifer (Palm Harbor)
A simple answer. No.

Did anyone really like these characters the first time around? Unless they have changed a lot and have become a lot more humorous, kind, and less superficial, I don’t think I can stomach a round 2, especially without Lauren Conrad. I’ll tune in for an episode out of curiosity, but if there isn’t anything redeeming about them, I think I’ll call it a day.
GNol (Chicago)
Both highly amusing, and highly sickening.

Whoa. To quote Daria “sometimes [our] shallowness is so thorough it’s almost like depth.” ...almost but not quite.
