Caroline—I couldn’t agree more about the Sheen character. WAY overdone, over the top and, well, stupid! And the first episode of season 3 was SOOO good! B. Sharp—the music AND the graphics are brilliant! And finally, Douglas, I have sung Carmina at least 3 times over the years and I don’t hear what you are hearing! (You know, like the xmas carol: Do you hear what I hear?) (hahaha!)
Douglas Ritter (Bassano Del grappa)
The best show on TV that few watch and can even see. I disagree with CBS' strategy for all access as they will be killed by Netflix, Amazon, Disney, HBO and Showtime and others. A Failed strategy, IMO.

@Douglas Ritter I subscribed just to watch "The Good Fight" and so my super-geek husband and daughter could have reliable access to "Star Trek: Discovery." Relative to a Netflix subscription, though, it's expensive for two shows and watching "Madam Secretary" without commercials.
B.Sharp (Cinciknnati)
@Douglas Ritter I completely agree...looks to me it is an expensive production with all top rated A list casts together with guest appearances. We love this show and soon will finish the second season. There are a lot of trashy shows on CBS and other networks which are totally unwatchable. Then a long wait....to the third.
B.Sharp (Cinciknnati)
@C Wolfe Exactly, I only watch Good Fight and refuse to pay so much only to watch one show.

J'adore Cush Jumbo and reading about her here. I didn't know that she is British and about her stage career. I'll be looking out for her now. AND why isn't The Good Fight on CBS's regular programming? How many more NCIS and Big Brother spinoffs do we need?
REASON (New York)
@Molly Bloom Then you'll appreciate Jumbo's earlier work on the (British) ITV series "Vera" in which she played a young police officer.
Caroline (amsterdam)
Such a wonderful actress. A joy to watch. I would love to see more of her in The Good Fight. Not so sure I like where the series is going with the Michael Sheen character that was introduced in the last episode.
B.Sharp (Cinciknnati)
Too much information for me. The reason being we are watching this awesome show via DVD tapes from the Library. We are in the second season , and then have to wait for another full year to watch the third season when it comes to DVD. Why CBS don`t have it in television I do not know, it is so much better than Good Wife and Ms. Cush Jumbo is simply awesome . Oh by the way the opening music is absolutely wonderful.
Douglas Ritter (Bassano Del grappa)
@B.Sharp Yes, the opening music is indeed wonderful, even though it's a pretty good homage to Orff's opening movement to Carmina Burana.

I loved The Good Wife and I have recently started The Good Fight. Both excellent with top notch acting! And I love Cush. She’s a super actress! More. More. ( I wonder if “ Alicia” will show up in the new series?)

I'm delighted that Cush Jumbo is getting the attention she deserves. But this article would have been richer and more interesting if the interviewer had asked Ms. Jumbo about the influences on her of British actors, especially the incredible Brenda Blethyn. British actors are having an outsized influence on US theater, and it is important for us to understand why and how.
pqt (in a cafe somewhere)
@SLP I completely agree! I enjoyed Cush Jumbo with Brenda Blethyn on "Vera". I kept reading the interview for hints about her British training. And yes, why and how are British actors having outsized influence on U.S. productions?

@pqt Yes, I fell big for Cush Jumbo on Vera and was horrified when she got killed. It seemed like decades later that I realized she'd come over here to guest star on The Good Wife...and the rest is in the article.

I saw Cush Jumbo during the run of The River with Hugh Jackman a few years ago. I had never heard of her before, but was blown away, and started seeking her work out. Incredible. and then she joined The Good Wife, and life was perfect!
Richard F. (Altoona)
Love her name! Have not seen the show.

Love her!

Cush Jumbo is the heart and soul of The Good Fight. I was sad when Lucca and Alicia parted ways at the end of The Good Wife, but truth be told, Jumbo’s turn as Lucca Quinn not only rivals the best Alicia moments of The Good Wife, after two seasons in to The Good Fight, I think she has started to surpass her. Take away Cush Jumbo and the show won’t work - she is so talented and so fun to watch. I worked for eight years as a female litigation associate in big laws firms, and all I can say to Cash/Lucca is way to represent! Thank you for fighting the good fights on all our behalf.

Phenomenal. NEVER will forget that performance in Julius Caesar. Always rocks my world with her incredible acting and humor.
Charles (New York)
She may not have 57 Tonys but I am sure she is glad she has one Maximilian.

I have enjoyed Cush Jumbo ever since I saw her on several episodes of Vera. She is delightful and I love The Good Fight. It reflects my own emotions in the current political climate. I am impressed with her theater background and know she will continue to be a success.

Ms. Jumbo is a delightful presence on a great show. Lucca Quinn could carry her own show. I enjoyed learning about her theater background. Hopefully she will continue to grace the screen world for those of us who can't see her on stage.
