They are all, literally, CLOWNS. But they act and are quoted so self importantly they started believing they are.

Lampooning the jerk occupying the White House in an entirely honorable and patriotic thing to do. Bring it!!

The ability to express our horror and disgust at this presidency thru humor may be the only thing stopping this country from a descent into civil war. Keep it up, guys, you're all we've got left.

Donald Trump will very likely go down as the most successful criminal who was president in our history. He will also be remembered as a first class imbecile who has spent most of his time playing golf , watching television and getting worked up about the fact that everybody knows how ignorant , incompetent and corrupt he is. He also may be at the early stages of premature dementia. Many people who knew George Steinbrenner, who was suffering from early dementia before anyone was aware of it, exhibited much of the same erratic and irrational behavior as Mr. Trump. While this is no longer funny, we still need to call out the stupidity and danger inherent in the situation, and now that we have an occupant of the Oval Office who is challenging the very foundations of our democracy, comedians are well within their rights to tell the truth about this mistake that we have made by putting this man in the White House. If we don't do something to get rid of him by any legal means possible , we shall never forgive ourselves for this aberration.

I too do not like hearing about the self appointed dilettante Trump. Honestly, if and when he isn’t mentioned he goes and does something to get attention. And if Congress did their job the late night hosts would not have to. They have been hear no evil, see no evil guys since he got in. So thanks to these people the country has been apprised of the idiocy of this person. So keep letting us know who and what is causing all this destruction in our country. They confirm what we know as unbelievable as most of the actions of his have been.

Late night hosts need to consider (most likely they realize) that Trump just sucks the air out of the room. One hears about and from Trump every single day, and I mean every day, it’s enough these celeb hosts should use their pulpit to encourage their audience to voice their opinions and push to get Trump out of office.

If we did not have the Late Night hosts joking about Trump, we would have no reprieve ever from our grief.

Wait - I thought he said we are having a National Emergency?!? How does he have time to tweet?

I tried to watch him when I was in the States but didn't find him funny at all. And yes Jimmy. You are part of the problem. Stop giving him time, especially with stupid jokes. You DO have a choice! On the other hand, when Jay Leno stopped by Fallon, HE was funny. He got some of his strongest laughs when casting himself as the wizened old-timer, lamenting the rise of Amazon and remembering another era. “Amazon announced they’re going to be opening stores nationwide with no sales clerks of any kind. First of all, that’s not new, O.K.? Sears had that 20 years ago.” — JAY LENO “What happened to Sears? Remember when Sears was Amazon? Remember those days, you got that catalog, you found what you wanted, and boom, eight weeks later, it was right there.” — JAY LENO

@Bunny Did you not receive the same NYTIMES article in Warsaw that quoted the exact Leno jokes?

Last night Colbert did a very funny bit on how difficult it must have been for an NYT reporter to write a whole article on something that can be summed up in a sentence: impatience for the Mueller report to be finished and released. I wondered whether this column would mention that, and I see it hasn't.
