You can find crashing on Netflix. Not bad for a freshman effort and that mouth gets a full workout. To say the least she is an expressive actress. I'm sorry there are only 10 episodes.

"...that open, teeth-exposing, wonder-filled smile that poises sheer delight on the brink of a bottomless despair..." Perfect.

I’m thrilled to know there is a second season of Fleabag and I will impatiently await its US premiere. I’m a big fan of Catastrope and Killing Eve, too! What a talent. I so wish it could see her on stage!

“Ms. Waller-Bridge understands that we are all laws unto ourselves, governed by our own special imps of the perverse. ” Let us write that in planet earth English. ‘Ms. Waller-Bridge acts on the willfully insane conceit that we are all laws unto ourselves, governed by our own special imps of the perverse.’

@In deed The presence of "imps of the perverse" in that sentence suggests that it's not healthy to act that way, so no emendation necessary...

“In deed” is doing their best to adhere to a formula of true or false, thumbs up or thumbs down.

@Observer Laws unto ourselves is itself a true false formula. “Laws”. But deaf ears.

I tried watching the first episode of Fleabag, based on a recommendation in the Financial Times, whose art critics, including those who cover filmed entertainment, are excellent. I did not last past the first ten minutes. What the positive attributes of this "entertainment" might be are unclear to me.

@Wendell Murray I also tried and tried to like this show. Just didn't do it for me either.

@Wendell Murray You have to get through the first episode. I know it sounds crazy, but the emotional effect of the show is cumulative, and those first 15 minutes are the least powerful for that reason. It all adds up. I started it and stopped, then went back months later. Once I got into episode 2 I was hooked, and by the end I was devastated

@Jessica They're men, Jessica. They don't get it.

“FLEABAG” the series was the best thing I have ever seen on “TV”. The range of expression, yearning and emotion in such a small package is remarkable. In US TV (or maybe any other), it would unimaginable. Missed my chance on theater tickets, but so glad Phoebe is killing it in NY.
