I love pizza. When I wake up in the morning I eat pizza, when I have lunch I eat pizza, when I feel hungry in the afternoon I eat pizza and the evening I eat other pizza. When I sleep I dream of pizza then I wake up at midnight for eat pizza. I don't need drugs, I already have pizza; I don't need a wife, I just need more pizza. Some people said me "stop eating pizza your too fat" but I told them "I just weigh 150 pounds I can do better" My favorite pizza is the one with pepperonis and a lot of cheese. At home I have an altar where I can pray the pizza god. Yesterday I sell one of my kidney to buy some beautiful pizzas.

I'm keen on Hawaiian pizza. It is a pizza with bacon and pieces of pineapple. It has an unusual taste and amazing smell. Together this toppings make me crazy. I'm not a fussy eater, I just love to eating pizzas with friends, I also like to trying new types of pizza. I don't have favourites at toppings, but I believe that the worst topping is mushrooms. Maybe 2-3 dollars for slice are good for me. The Upside pizza is incredible and their approach deserves respect. I would like to try some dishes from that pizza place.

I am making a survey and this article will help me and than my school will know what pizza to bring and other items to make money from. 2 dollars a slice perfect. _^. .^_ ________

An ideal pizza for me has to have a thin crust with cheese dripping off it. I don't particularly care which type of topping it has as long as it is not anchovies or sardines or something very expensive. One of my favorite toppings is pineapple. I know many people don't like pineapple or Hawaiian pizza, but to me, the saltiness combined with the sweetness just hits the spot. I would love to try authentic, delicious homemade pizza in Italy someday. The most I would pay for a large box of pizza is $13 if it is a place that is worth it. If not, $8 would be the maximum for me. I have never had a barbeque or Alfredo pizza before, and I am hoping I get to try and enjoy different combinations on a pizza in the near future.
Nina Gilliland (Sewickley, PA)
The only pizza I will ever eat is pineapple pizza. It's like a Hawaiian pizza, but without the ham. I don't really like meat. I love the sweet and salty because they balance each other out. I know some people have a sweet tooth and others have a salty tooth, but I need both. I don't care where it's from, pizza is pizza. If the pizza is good, I don't think $5 is too much. I know a lot of places don't have pineapple as a topping because not a lot of people don't like it, so if a place doesn't have pineapple, I'll choose olives.

I enjoy eating pizza but the pizza have to be from dominoes. Dominoes cooks the pizza just right soft and cheesy. when I order pizza from dominos I always order pepperoni and bacon if not that I get pepperoni.
Sara Hightower (Homewood, AL)
I absolutely love pizza. A pan pizza from dominoes is my favorite. I love a plain cheese pizza. I think I am pretty picky when it comes to pizza though. I dont want the sauce too spicy, and I do not like any kind of topping besides cheese. I especially dont like peperroni. It makes the pizza taste terrible! I am willing to spend around $15 on a pizza, but I think anymore than that is too much.
Andrew (Alabama)
I love pizza but sometimes you might not like how the type of sauce or maybe the type of bread. My ideal pizza would have to be a meat lovers pizza but i would have to have a little bit of a sweeter sauce. the crust would be light and soft with a garlic flavoring.
Suse Jimenez (Nyc)
My favorite kind of pizza is meat lover’s because there are all kinds of different meats, for example there are little cut squares of ham. There is also crunchy sprinkles of bacon spreaded everywhere. Delicious but spicy red pepperoni only burns my mouth slightly. It doesn’t need any garlic powder or red pepper flakes. One bite had your stomach aching for more. The crust is thin but with the rest of the ingredients that it needs it’s a perfect amount of everything. At most pizza places this great pizza is available for trying.
Mayra (WA)
I prefer Mod pizza over any other pizza place. The reason it is good is because you can choose to build it on your own and pick everything you want to put on it. I always choose thin crust because its better when you bite it. Than the red sauce with Parmesan cheese. For my toppings I choose pepperoni and bacon bites. When it's ready it tastes delicious. This pizza costs about $8 but it gets you full and is worth paying for.
kelly (11106)
I love pizza with a lot of pepperoni and melted cheese and when the crust is also very crunchy. I also like it soft and fresh. And I also like plain cheese pizza but mostly with pepperoni.
gianinna (11106)
i love pizza ! i love either plain pizza or chicken on top of it. i love when the cheese is melted and the crust is very crunchy. the pizza would need to be nice and hot, freshly made, and lots of cheese. for chicken, the chicken should be nice and crunchy. the crust should not be that hard, but not that soft.
Olivia Cornella (Homewood High School)
I LOVE pizza but it's always difficult for me to get the perfect pizza. I need for my ingredients to be fresh, I can't have parmesan, NO meat, and covered in onions! The most I'd pay for a pizza would be $30 if it's being delivered. If I go sit down, I'd pay $10 for a good pizza. The perfect pizza comes from Pieology! It's like subway for pizza. You watch them make it in front of you, and you pick out your own ingredients. I will say this, The weirdest thing I've tried on pizza is alfredo sauce, spinach, and broccoli. Yuck. I'll still to my order of alfredo, red sauce, mozzarella, and onion on a thin crust.
Alexandra H. (Birmingham, AL)
My favorite kind of pizza is pan pizza, extra pepperoni, golden brown garlic crust cooked to perfection, never rushed. And I'm very picky about my pizza but not the place. I'll go anywhere but Dominios for pizza but I always get the same thing above. My favorite topping are just pepperoni maybe bacon if I'm feeling crazy. I have tried hawaiian pizza but I did not enjoy. The sweet taste is off putting to me even though I adore the fruit itself. I would NEVER touch sardines ever. Why put fish, especially that fish, on pizza? I'm willing to pay a generous amount for good pizza but I also look for deals when I can find them. 20$ is my limit however. thats more than enough for a large at any place.

The beauty of the 'pizza' is its spectrum of what qualifies as one. There are 10$ Large pizzas, and other large pizzas can be triple the price. Every pie has it place in the world. Pizza has been an american food staple for so long its factors are down to such a science that it is harder to create a bad pizza then good one. My personal favorite is Deep dish pizza, where the art of cheese comes in to play more than ever. I will eat a cheap, low quality pizza as well as higher quality ones.
Ana Elrod (Hoggard High School, NC)
Pizza, an American classic. Often a topic of discussion between people from different states or countries. Personally I like mine with either just plain cheese or with no cheese and just tomato sauce. I used to always get cheese pizza but my dad is lactose intolerant so he gets cheeseless pizza and I tried it and really liked it. A lot of people think cheese on pizza is a given but pizza without cheese is actually really good. The article states “Or is it that they refuse to put a shaker of garlic powder on the counter alongside the red pepper flakes and the oregano, denying New Yorkers the right to customize their slice?” I personally disagree with this because I do not think it is insulting the pizza makers to add cheese or crushed red peppers, people like what they like and I do not think that is a bad thing.
Evan Barefoot (Hoggard High School)
I used to be a very plain person and would always just get a cheese pizza with garlic crust from dominoes. I still love it but there are some things that I just have to have on my pizza now. My favorite kind of pizza's are wood fired, some may not notice the difference, but I do. There is a certain crunch and flavor that makes it special from the rest. I like when my pizza is just a little burned and wood fired pizzas have that flavor without actually burning it. Next, I like to put a white cream sauce (kind of like Alfredo but not really), and I mix some spicy sauce in with it and brush garlic pesto around the crust. Now, you don't want to add too much mozzarella cheese because then it over powers your toppings. My favorite pizza topping is red onions, it adds a crunch and a sort of "spice." I really like a crunchy things with my food, so I add green and banana peppers, along with chicken just for protein. Ever since I started eating this pizza I can never just go back to having just cheese all the time.
Williams Brandon (11106)
I like my Pizza with soft bread and my favorite topping of pizza is pepporoni and bacon I hate when itś to oily and it kind of make like a bump on my gums and when the bread is too hard it kind of taste like plastic I like my pizza with a lot of tomato sauce.
Ethan (Florida)
I like my pizza like I like my women: large, greasy, and covered in pepperoni. Ha ha ha ha ha ha!
Betty (SSIS, Hcmc, Vietnam)
In my opinion, pizza is the best food ever because even bad pizza still tastes good. Pizza is just so amazing. A perfect pizza for me have to have thin crust, flavorful sauce, not too chewy dough, crunchy crust but not burn, and cheesy. Let talk about the crust first. I love pizza thin pizza crust because I’m not that type of person who likes to eat the crust. I love a crunchy thin crust on my pizza but not burn. Burn crust is crunchy but the way how it tastes is very bad. I love a flavorful sauce because i think that sauce is a very strong kick to the pizza. I love when i take a bite of my pizza. The sauce going to drip out of the pizza. I love pizza with a lot of sauce but not too much because it going to make the pizza dough really wet. The dough is also a very important part in the pizza because it is too chewy. If it’s too hard or easy to break and it’s mean the pizza is overcooked. I tried a lot of pizza. I think the best pizza I ever had is Ray’s pizza in New York. That pizza was the best pizza i ever had. I can’t ever get bored of it. We all know that New York is famous to have the best pizza in the world and Las Vegas is famous to have the worst pizza ever. I agree with that. In my opinion, Las Vegas has very bad pizza. One time, I tried a slice of pizza in Las Vegas’s pizza place. The dough is very chewy, the cheese is very plain, they didn’t put that much sauce on the pizza. In Vietnam, I really recommend Pizza Company and Pizza 4P’s.
Tyler Romero (Metro Academy)
My favorite kind of pizza is a supreme pizza. A large hand toss with pepperoni, sausage, onion, green pepper, extra cheese, bacon, and a good amount of sauce. I'm personally not too picky with pizza but I will not have pizza if it has any kind of olives on it. I can eat any pizza as long as the dough is not under cooked or the sauce is not nasty. My favorite topping is pepperoni and my least favorite topping is olives. I have tried a non meat pizza and it was pretty good for the most part. If they paid me to eat a olive pizza for example, I would probably do it. The most I would ever pay for a slice of pizza is probably $5 but the pizza has to be the best I have ever had.
Nick Gallo (Hoggard High School, Wilmington, NC)
Pizza really is the carrier of all food. I like a nice crust obviously but it's all about the wood oven. The way the oven handles the pizza is truly unique and having the right cheese, mozzarella, and some gyro meat on the top is where it is at. I am not picky about the basic pizzas I won’t agree. Olives and stacks of vegetables are not so great as if you wanted vegetables to eat salad. Fresh is good but I’m not a diehard fresh pizza guy, a couple of items can slip. If I had five dollars a slice isn’t my first choice. I prefer quantity over quality in most cases. The article talks a lot about the dollar slice and personally, I think that is the way to go.
DeAsia (Sarasota, FL)
The best pizza is the hand tossed pizza from Pizza Hut. The plain cheese pizza with garlic butter crust is amazing. At Pizza Hut they add multipe cheeses unlike other businesses that just have mozzarella

I like to wake up at 11:00 on Saturday morning and pull last night’s leftover Domino’s pizza out of the fridge. I pick a slice and take a bite. The crust is soft and spongy yet firm. The cheese that was once melted, hot, and stringy was now cold and stuck in its shape. I can feel the cold pineapple on the roof of my mouth. The bacon crunches as I chew. The garlic-y sauce brings all the flavors together making the most delicious concoction in my mouth. As I near the end of my slice all that’s left is the crust. A few stray pieces of cheese are glued on to it and the delicious mix of garlic and spices fills my mouth.
Giuseppe Marturano (Hoggard High School)
The way I like my pizza is simple just cheese. I’m Italian so it's hard for me to find pizza i like in america after having pizza from Italy. The two times I've traveled to Italy I've of course had pizza. The pizza there is just different, it’s not heavy it’s not really cheese and it’s not greasy at all. It’s simple and light the ingredients are fresh. My dad is really good at making pizza. We have brick oven in my backyard. I hope to be able to make pizza as good as he can when I’m older.
Thomas D. (J.T. Hoggard High School)
My pizza is served on a hard wooden block, steaming and smelling very faintly of smoke. My tastebuds year for a bite as the juices sizzle and softly pop on the surface. The surface itself is a masterpiece worthy of the highest praise. Olive oil, lightly painted across a perfectly made crust. A carpet of cheese, expertly accented with slices of ham. Rings of pineapple perfectly spread across the top in a flawless symmetrical pattern! Unable to wait any longer, I take my first bite. It’s impossible to wipe the smile from my face, put there by the otherworldly taste. The cheese and the ham complement each other perfectly while the olive oil quietly adds an extra depth. The sweetness of the pineapple contrasts and seals the dish together, mingling with the other flavors. My first bite quickly becomes a second, then a third. I eat two slices, savoring each bite. I then put the rest of the pizza in a to-go box and head home, leaving behind me a handsome tip and my compliments to the chef.

Unlike many, pizza is pizza to me. Sometimes I’m in the mood for an authentic style pie. Other times I can settle for a $5 pizza. Flatbread style pizzas are always a go for me. My “ideal pizza” would be a fluffy, doughy pizza with a stuffed cheesy crust (garlic and parmesan coated) with simply: marina sauce (not too much!), four cheese blend, and mushrooms scattered all over. I’m not a picky pizza eater, but the toppings have to be proportionate. I’m sure if I visited New York one day, I’d prefer that kind of pizza. I am NOT a fan of pineapple on pizza, but to each their own.
Mara (Florida)
I’m part of a Hispanic family so we rarely buy fast foods or takeout or buy pizza. But eventually when we do, I really enjoy regular pepperoni pizza with cheese stuffing and garlic and butter dipping sauce.
Toby Jaffee (Sarasota, FL)
I'm relatively picky about pizza, and for a long time didn't eat it at all. While I don't have too many stories about weird toppings, I have tried what was probably the weirdest pizza I've ever seen. It was a relatively high class restaurant in Vermont. My family doesn't normally do really expensive stuff, so I ordered a small pizza, the most familiar thing on the menu. What I got was two types of cheese, red sauce, and pepperoni slices inside an orb of pizza crust. It looked like a pot pie without a tin, and while it was pretty good, I had absolutely no idea how to eat it (pick it up? knife and fork?). It was probably one of the strangest dining experiences as well as pizza.

Pizza. The one thing that makes everyone's mouths water. Pizza has to be one of the only foods that I have ever tasted and immediately loved. Our country goes crazy for it. There isn't a block that doesn't have a pizza place as you walk down a crowded street or drive into a city. I believe pizza is the one food people can eat and all agree on. You can put anything on a pizza, so it's compatible with everyone. There is no bickering over toppings, no fighting over the largest slice, no arguing about how they don't like it because, with pizza, you just can't go wrong. "I respect garlic powder," Mr. Grossman says in the article. Not me, I respect mozzarella and pineapple. I respect the sweet smell of pepper and salt on the buttered crust with an attachment of hot and chewy cheese that just melts upon your tongue. That is what I respect. "Fresh. It’s uniform and predictable, tasting mainly of sauce, brought together by the rich texture of cheese and the bland crunch of the crust." This quote in the article is my exact interpretation of what a pizza should be. I am always disappointed when I order a high-priced pizza at a new restaurant and all I receive is a floppy thin slab of cheesy bread. The pizza I bought for a much more expensive price had even worse results. So the Halai brothers should be proud of their accomplishments and how they create their pizza because it seems to me like they created the perfect pizza.

Pizza is an amazing meal. It works as a breakfast lunch and dinner. I live off of pizza, I never get tired of it despite eating it so much. It is perfect. But not all pizzas are equal. I common point that is debated is "Does Pineapple belong on Pizza" I think this is crazy how big of a controversy is caused about this question, I mean the answer is so simple, of course it does! I eat pizza from many different places, and all different kinds of pizza, but no matter where I go it is always the same kind that I order... sure I like cheese or pepperoni, but Hawaiian Pizza is the best by far. Hawaiian Pizza has ham, and pineapple, and it the best creation ever thought of. The ham goes along really well with the cheese and sauce, and the sweet pineapple gives the rest of the pizza and special taste when you get a piece. Now everyone is entitled to their opinion, but if you are a pineapple hater, just because most people are, I strongly recommend you try a piece, and you will have different thoughts. Now cheese sauce and bread are also a big part of the pizza, but to me they don't have as much affect. They can change how it tastes completely but I feel like that part doesn't matter as much to me as the toppings do.
Lily Boyer (Hoggard High School, Wilmington, NC)
When it comes to what the qualifications are for a perfect pizza, many things come to mind, but the most important thing is that it has to be fresh and not overprocessed. The Article states that “A 2 Bros. slice is not exactly delicious, but it is good.” The pizza place 2 Bros sells a slice of pizza for one dollar, so the ingredients are of cheaper quality; they use ingredients like canned tomatoes and instant yeast which are “formulated primarily for speed and consistency, not flavor and texture,” which is why it is just “good”, not great or perfect. In order to create a perfect pizza, I think those ingredients need to be switched out for a more fresh variety. I like my pizza to have a crispy and thin crust with the perfect blend of melted cheeses and a very minimal amount of sauce, and these are not qualities that I have found in any pizza from the freezer section. Places like Upside Pizza have the quality ingredients that I look for; fresh mozzarella and tomatoes and a dough that uses a natural leavening agent, all formulated with precision to make a truly delicious pizza that is not just good, but perfect. Because I appreciate a delicious pizza far more than a good pizza, I would be willing to pay the more expensive price for a slice at a pizza place that values quality over everything else. The price is worth it when I take that first bite out of my slice and think to myself that it is the best thing I have ever tasted.

Pizza. A staple for students. A culinary clash among the numerous restaurants in any town. Chicago, New York, Hawaiian; all different takes on the pillar of hope: pizza. What is the best way to get a pizza? Just like everything, everyone has their own opinion and needs to say why they are right. It’s my turn now. I have a few criteria for my pizza, and attack every meal analytically. The best topping? Easily meat. Cow, chicken, or pig, doesn’t matter, you need one, if not all of them to make a good pizza. It provides a bold, savory flavor and produces precious grease. Cheese is important, but too much and you are yanking two-foot dairy string. Cheese and sauce will be on every pizza, good or bad. Next on the menu, the structure of the pie. Flexibility is important for a pizza and folding should be an option if prefered. When you hold a slice, it shouldn’t drop straight down, nor should it be strong enough to stand perfectly level. It needs a nice droop toward the tip with a supportive crust. What is the ideal pizza for any situation? The go-to pizza that should be at every party is a pepperoni pizza. A pepperoni pizza allows for cheese eaters to take off the meat and meat eaters to get an enjoyable meal. A club meet up I recently went to asked us what type of pizza we wanted. Pepperoni won, yet they got two cheese, a supreme pizza, and a vegan pizza. My personal favorite pizza is all the meat I can get.
Nathan Peterson (Hoggard High School)
My favorite type of pizza is one with pepperoni, sausage, and olives. Pepperoni is a staple of pizza, and I've liked it since I was born. Same goes to black olives. They're sweet but at the same time they still have a bitter taste. And sausage is also amazing. I do make exceptions though. There's one pizza place in my town that whenever I go I get the buffalo chicken pizza. It might sound odd, but all it is is a chicken wing pizza. What's not to love. There's the spice from the buffalo sauce, accompanied by ranch or blue cheese to dip into. That's the only pizza I get from that restaurant. The way Moskin describes the two restaurants makes me more interested in Upside. Taking a simple delivery meal and improving upon it and making it fancy is very intriguing to me. Although, 2 Bros also sounds like they make good pizza, and if I'm not in the mood too eat fancy I would definitely check them out.

I find the dedication that Jorge Reyes has to make fresh mozzarella in the basement every morning is inspiring. He goes home at 1 a.m. at goes back at 4 a.m. to check how much it's risen. That much dedication to your craft is amazing to me. He truly loves what he's doing and you can tell by all the time and effort he puts into it. People like Jorge Reyes are the type of people who enjoy the experience that pizza can bring to others. He understands that good pizza can improve the group mood if you're having it with friends or family. Pizza brings happy memories and experiences. I can recall so many different memories I've had while eating pizza. I remember when I was Chicago my cousin ordered pizza for the whole family and we brought out tables and all ate outside enjoying the conservation and being surrounded by family. Also, Chicago is known for its great pizza that they even have their own style. Since I've been to Chicago and had pizza from there I would say it's one of the best pizza's I've had.

the 1$ 2 bros slices are not bad at all i have personally tried there pizza. But in NYC almost everywhere you go looking for pizza there is a 1$ slice. So I don't think that this is to cheap at all it's kind of becoming a standard. On the other hand 5$ slices sound a lot but they are using premium products. As well as adding a funky twist to Pizza.

Well, my parent doesn’t like to feed me junk. They always go with healthy food like something green. My first impression of pizza was when I was in elementary school. Everyone probably knows that school food sucks. So my first impression of pizza was pretty bad. Also, I’m not very a dairy person. The only thing I like that contains milk was ice cream. My second impression of pizza was completely different. I was in middle school then. When I had my first bite I could feel the warm cheese melting in my mouth. The cheese was super creamy and the combination of tomato paste and a thin crust of bread together made it perfect. Suddenly I just fell in love with pizza. Despite my parent’s opposal, I’ll order my pizza with pineapple and chicken all the time when I go to a pizza place. I know parent wouldn't take me but I can go with my friends without them knowing or my brother get me some. He is also a pizza lover. Even if the pizza doesn’t have chicken or pineapple I’ll still eat it and enjoy it. I love any type of pizza.

Pizzas are rare in my family. We were never the type of family to order a pizza; we are the Chinese takeout type. But, that doesn't mean I don't appreciate a good pizza. That also doesn't mean I don't have my opinions about what makes a perfect pizza. First of all, no pineapple. I love pineapple, but it simply doesn't belong on my, or anyone else's pizza. Pizza is a comfort food; warm and greasy, so why put a cool and refreshing fruit on it. I simply don't get it. Also, I prefer New York style pizza to the Chicago deep dish. I've only had a Chicago deep dish once, but as they say "I was lost in the sauce". All of the extra sauce and contents were just overwhelming. The simple and thin style of the New York pizza is much more appealing to me. It is the perfect blend of crust, sauce, and toppings that is constantly complementing each other. For me personally, the ideal toppings on a pizza is the classic cheese and pepperoni. Not to crazy and not to bland. Well, to many people I might be seen as "bland" but to me this classic style pizza is in perfect harmony and one bite can create perfect bliss.
Karolina Lundqvist (VOICE Charter School, 11106)
My favorite pizza is just simple, plain pizza. I like thick crust with nice melted cheese and tomato sauce. I wouldn't say I'm very picky with my type of pizza. Unless it's pineapple. I absolutely cannot eat that! If it is really good pizza, I would mind spending an extra dollar or two.
Tyler Roth (Hoggard High School, Wilmington, NC)
I have always been a picky eater when it comes to my pizza. I go through trends in which I only order one type of pizza wherever I order it from. That is until I try a new set of toppings that is a nice refresh. However when it comes to the quality of pizza, I don’t really care and will eat pretty much any pizza as long as it has toppings that I like. In the article, Moskin compares two different pizza places in New York, 2 Bros and Upside. If I were in New York having to choose from 2 bros and Upside, I would pick Upside based off of the fact that I want to taste the difference of “New York” pizza compared to national pizza chains. But if I were to pay for a $3 slice compared to a $7 slice in my hometown, I would pick the $3 just because of the cheaper price. What makes pizza good to me is the toppings. The fresher the ingredients, the better the pizza. Right now, I enjoy ham and pineapple, but in the past I enjoyed sausage and green pepper, and just plain cheese. Moskin describes the dedication that the owners of Upside put into making sure they have fresh ingredients. So I would obviously enjoy a slice of Upside more if money did not have an effect on my decision. My mom sometimes even buys plain pizzas and we apply fresh toppings. I love that pizza much more than any takeout pizza.
Abby Bowker (Hoggard High School, Wilmington NC)
The cost and the quality is something we all worry about when it comes to buying food. If it's too cheap, we think somethings wrong with it, and if it's too pricey we automatically think it's top quality. “They made the cheapest slice, and they wanted to prove they could make the best slice.” I think what the 2 Bros are trying to show to the world is that we don't have to give up the a low price for genuine food. I think one dollar for a slice of pizza should be the standard. Since when did buying food to nourish our bodies become a battle to see what we can get for the cheapest price, yet not sacrifice the quality? Anyone who puts out a one dollar pizza is brave in saying that it's good enough, it has enough quality to stand on it's own, and it doesn't need a large price tag to show that. I would like to try the one dollar pizza to truly see if it can stand on it's own and represent itself without the hefty price tag. I think the idea that they're trying to convey is something we all should learn. Don't give up on something just because it doesn't sound perfect.

If you're hungry for pizza, there's nothing better than a classic. Simple cheese, tomato, and dough. Archaic ingredients, having since been refined into an art. A culinary masterpiece. As you take the first bite, the sensations of the meal overwhelm you. The dough is soft, but crusted just enough to give the pizza a satisfying firmness. The tomato paste is a perfect balance of sweet and spiciness, melding into the hot bread. And the cheese. Oh, the cheese. Greasy, salty, overflowing. Tearing apart in tiny holes as your teeth frantically rip off a piece, ravenous. Bliss. As you continue, you fall into a silent sense of nirvana. The flavors meld together, resulting in utter perfection. It is all too short, though, as your jaw meets the heart-wrenching crust. You're distraught. It was over too quickly. The taste still lingers on your tongue, but you begin to ponder how you'll go on. How to live in a world without the goodness that is the perfect pizza. And then you take another slice.

Pizza is a reoccurring meal in our house. Night after night it is sure to please the whole family. We've tried many different types of pizza. Homemade has always been the top choice. When making it yourself you are able to put your desired topping on it, whatever suits you. Nothing says pizza without chicken, buffalo sauce and mozzarella cheese. Every pizza is unique but it still gives you that heavenly taste every time you bite into that ravishing greasy piece. Rolling out the dough to the perfect thickness with your hands covered in flour. Spreading the buffalo sauce then sprinkling the right amount of cheese over the impeccably made chicken and spicy orange sauce. Nothing beats catching a whiff of the melting mozzarella cheese coming from the kitchen. As the enticing aroma of buffalo-chicken pizza overcomes the house it makes your stomach rumble. Then biting into the juicy but superb pizza. The scent leaves you craving more even after that last slice.

For years pizza has been the one meal my family and I can actually agree on when Friday nights come around. Whether its cheese, pepperoni, or meat lovers, I always look forward to pizza night. It's simple and easy, yet delicious. I don't always get my way when it comes to picking what kind of pizza my family eats but I always voice my opinion. My favorite and ideal pizza is classic pepperoni. Lots and lots of stringy cheese. Fluffy crust cooked and crisped to perfection. The right amount of round pepperoni, not too much, and not too little. Of course, I enjoy all other types of pizza but when I get to enjoy the classic pepperoni my heart (and my stomach) is full.

Throughout the article I noticed how passionate that they are about pizza and the quality of the pizza that they are producing. As someone who loves to cook, I respected their decision to make pizza with only the highest quality ingredients in order to make the best single slice of pizza. They also wanted people to understand why the price is at three dollars instead of one, and it's because the quality is better and it is not just purely for profit. They barely opened, and they already have a line out the door every day, which demonstrates that people love it there because they can make a quality slice of pizza. People come back and pay the extra two dollars because they love the pizza and its ingredients.

There have been many ways pizza can be eaten or made it all depends on where you get it from. I like Hawaiian pizza the most because of the sweet flavor of the pineapple and the flavor of ham mixed with cheese.
Quaid Sutherland (Hoggard High School, Wilmington, NC)
In my view, pizzas have three main elements. You’ve got the dough, the sauce and the toppings. My perfect pizza is a blend of all three of these different aspects that works extremely well together. Dough: The perfect dough is a deep dish, more soft dough. It shouldn’t be soggy, or chewy, just a nice doughy softness. It must be tasty and have a flavor of its own, not just a background note. The crust should not be something to be discarded, it should be a highlight. Sauce: One great sauce option that I personally love is pesto. Though it’s not commonly used in pizza, it gives a great flavor and mixes incredibly with a wide variety of toppings. It also switches things up from the stereotypical and in my opinion overused red sauce. Toppings: In my opinion, the best toppings are fresh mozzarella, and a mix of fresh and sun dried tomatoes. This gives a great blend of sweetness from the juicy fresh tomatoes and tanginess from the sun dried tomatoes. The result of this incredibly combination is a mouthwatering pizza composed of a classic soft deep dish dough with it’s own flavor. A fresh and tasty pesto base sauce that adds a new aspect to the classic pizza. And the unbelievable mixture of mozzarella, fresh and sun dried tomatoes. All of these ingredients combine to form the perfect pizza.

I love pizza. It’s not my favorite food, but it’s very delicious. I like my pizza many different ways. My whole life I have been a thin crust type of girl, but when I visited Chicago a month ago, my opinions changed for the better. I had my first ever slice of deep dish Chicago style pizza, and oh my goodness, it was amazing to say the least. When I was little I would eat Hawaiian pizza, with pineapples and ham. Nowadays I have only been eating plain cheese pizza. I could really eat just about any type of pizza given to me. Vegetable, Meat lovers and Margherita pizzas are all just as good as a slice of cheese pizza. In reading the article I found it kind of ridiculous how Mr. Grossman would even need to justify why he doesn’t have garlic shakers, for people to use themselves. When you go to a restaurant, you are supposed to order everything you want. Like Mr. Grossman said, “I respect the garlic powder...But that’s just not what we’re trying to do here”. They have the right to putting whatever they want in their restaurant. I personally don’t see the big deal, although I could probably eat any slice of pizza.
Sam Martin (Hoggard High School, Wilmington, NC)
I'm a "meat-head". It's not the most popular topping choice but I love it. The thought of crispy bacon, smoked sausage, beef, chicken, BBQ, all on pizza, even better. Now you have to have a lot of cheese on pizza, and I mean a LOT of cheese (why do u think no one lives oven pizza). You also have to have a nice fluffy crust like the one from Papa John's. You DON'T want to have those soviet squares that people from up north eat. But to answer the question, my ideal pizza is a double cheese, deep dish, topped with sausage, pepperoni, and lots of bacon. Jut the thought of this makes my mouth water (but it's track season so I probably shouldn't eat pizza like this).
Ethan Pardieu (Hoggard High School, Wilmington, NC)
Pizza is a staple food that fills my life. From its mozzarella cheese to the crunchy crust, I love pizza in all of its glory. For me, the ideal pizza is one with a thin crunchy crust that is covered in garlic and has every topping on it. The crust needs to be just thin enough so there is a satisfying crunch delivered with each bite. It also needs to have enough garlic so that it doesn't just taste like burnt bread. The next necessity on my pizza is all the toppings that give the pizza its diverse flavor. The toppings can range from plain pepperoni all the way to a supreme, everything pizza. I like most kinds of pizza but anything that has grease covering the entire outer layer of the pizza is immediately unappealing. As a person who eats pizza fairly often, I like how the Halali brothers put so much effort into making their pizza “the best” while making their pizza extremely affordable. I think that because of the 2 bros franchise mentality of quality at a cheap cost, their business is something that stands out over most of the other pizza franchises.
Will Golder (Hoggard High School, Wilmington, NC)
Pizza has to be one of my favorite foods, it is just simple, easy, and everyone likes it. It is cheap, tasty, and available everywhere. While it is hard to make a bad pizza, some definitely are better than others. To me, the best pizza has a few important qualities. Most importantly, the cheese must be warm, creamy, and must include mozzarella. The cheese is the glue that holds the pizza together, and without it, your pizza would just be some saucy, meaty bread. The second most important part of the pizza is the crust because it is the one part that you can actually mess up. If the crust is hard and burnt, its a no-go; if it’s soggy and greasy, same deal. I personally prefer New York style crust over Chicago style any day. The Chicago style isn’t bad by any means, but it loses a lot of its utility. You cant really one hand it, it's messy, and it feels more like a lasagna than a pizza sometimes. Like the article says, New York style is tried and true, and you can find it in every city in America. For toppings, you can never go wrong with plain pepperoni. It’s simple, tasty, easy to make, and was born to sit on pizza. Sausage and bacon are good too if you love the meats, and green peppers make a great addition if you want to try to justify your pizza being a vegetable dish. In terms of pineapple on pizza, I understand why people like it. While I personally haven’t ever endeavored to try it, I think everyone should at least once before judging it. It doesn’t even sound that bad.
Ryan Vest (Hoggard High School, Wilmington, NC)
As a cook, food-lover, and of Italian heritage, I respect anyone who can make a decent pie. I don't have much taste for simple fast food pizza chains. Instead, I like to create my own customized to my own specific tastes and likes. The kneading of the dough to make a crust, the pureeing of the tomatoes to create the sauce, the slicing of fresh vegetables and meats to create the toppings, the slicing of fresh mozzarella, and the deliberate care taken to ensure every morsel of the pizza will be enjoyed. Allow yourself to be taken into a place that your comfortable. Your kitchen. Perhaps a restaurant. Your parents dining room. The aromas of the kitchen gently flow their way to you, and your mouth begins to water. Your nose is alive with a sweet combination of ingredients. Understandably, your stomach grumbles at the thought of your upcoming meal. From the kitchen emerges the pizza that you want. A perfect crust with slightly crisped edges. Cheese dripping and oozing gracefully off the sides. The glistening of the tantalizing meats piled on top. The sauce you know is underneath drawing you in with its aroma. The sweet joy of seeing all your favorite ingredients fills your soul. Your mouth waters, imagining how marvelous that slice will be, from the first bite to the last. Let us hope there are no anchovies.

my favorite pizza to eat is mushrooms and chicken, the best pizza I ever made myself. the best pizza has to be dominos pizza, plus the ranch that is warm from being in the box makes your pizza 10 times better!
jorge valerio (htx)
my favorite pizza hands down must me pepperoni pizza. it’s so tender and tasty. especially with mayonnaise, it adds more flavor to the pizza and overall makes it better. But when you add mustard mixed together with Barbeque sauce, onions, and cilantro just makes the pizza remarkable. It’s filled with ingredients the will make you fall in love with pizza. The rich bittersweet crust. How can you go wrong with the bread? Especially when its stuffed with the melted, warm cheese. My opinion is that, I will only eat pizza if the crust if it either has stuffed crust of if its flat bread. And can I tell you, flat bread must be the best thing that has come into my life. Thank god for Phulka. Without them flatbread wouldn’t be made or invented. it just gives a different feeling and taste to the pizza with its flat texture. I promise you that many people automatically assume that my pizza is garbage because trust me many people had told me that. But they never know until they try it. I said the same thing not going to lie but I was just throwing random ingredients in my pizza when I worked at mods pizza. I gave It a shot and without a doubt my jaw dropped. It was the best pizza ever. no kap

@jorge valerio what a weird pizza with different toppings yet so interesting.
Emily Curtis (Hoggard High School, NC)
I want to try both of these pizza places. I want to see what a cheap pizza tastes like, and what a expensive but delicious slice tastes. I would rather go to Upside pizza though. The way they described the pizza, and how much time is put into each pizza makes me want to try it. The way they describe it, "each bite of an Upside slice has multiple flavors and textures: Tang from the inside of the crust, smoke from the outside, funk from the caciocavallo cheese (alongside Parmesan, fresh and low-moisture mozzarella) and warm grassiness from the olive oil are just the start," makes you want to go there right now and try it. I think I would always rather go for the more expensive, quality slice than the cheaper, less tasty pizza. Even I only like classic pepperoni on my pizza, I think it is awesome how they try so hard to make a great slice of pizza, and would love to try it.
McClaine McIntyre (Wilmington NC, Hoggard High School)
I am a very picky person. But if I could make my ideal pizza, it would be one from the kids menu. That’s sounds kind of crazy, but in my opinion, anything plain is better. When it is plain, it's very difficult for someone to mess it up. I like everything very plain, but if I could make my ideal pizza I would want the crust not to thin, but not too fluffy. I also would have mozzarella cheese melted on top of the warm marinara sauce. There cannot be too much cheese though, that’s just gross. Although my pizza is very plain, I wouldn’t want any toppings. In my opinion, it ruins the pizza. Pepperoni, sausage, pineapple, and all of those other things people put on their pizza just doesn’t sound appetizing. Pizza prices can vary. Many places sell one slice of pizza for a few dollars and a whole pizza for a little bit more. I think one slice of pizza should be about $2 and a whole pizza, depending on size, should be about $15-$20. It just depends on how high quality the ingredients used to make the pizza are.
Bailey Barefoot (Hoggard Highschool, NC)
Pizza toppings and prices can vary from person and companies. I like a very simple piece of cheese pizza and I believe all pizza is pizza, one slice compared to another doesn't have much change on me. Since I don't have a specific "perfect" slice of cheese pizza in my brain, I tend to go to for a cheaper piece of pizza. Every person is different and has different taste buds. Also many people has a different picture of the perfect pizza. Some picture extra cheese, topped with veggies and has pretzel crust while some picture a plain piece while keeping some money in their pocket. Everyones view and budget is different and varies due to their likings.

Ashley Stein (J.T Hoggard)
Personally, my favori type of pizza is pineapple and ham but not just the regular kind the kind you can only get at harris teeter. they start off with a thick but still fluffy crust glazed in the sweet sauce. Then instead of just regular mozzarella sauce, they put this sweet pineapple sauce they add the cheese not too much though. And you can't forget the toppings juicy pineapples and freshly cut ham and that's how I like my pizza.
Kathryn Meehan (Hoggard High School, Wilmington, NC)
I believe that price isn't fully reflective of a food item’s quality. a As a person that eats on the road occasionally, the constant battle of trying to find a place to eat often ends up with ordering a pizza. Some pizzas I found to be very good, but some were worse than Chuck E. Cheese’s stale crust and frugal toppings. Both pizzas were around the same price, but depending on how it was prepared was the biggest qualifier for me. I think a pizza worth a couple of dollars are good price. But this perspective shouldn't be the only reason to take a firm stance. I know that Slice of Life sells single slices for a couple of dollars, while a whole pizza is expensive. Both of the options are equally good without changing the overall quality of the pizza. If I had to choose which pizza place I would rather go to, I would select Upside Pizza because I rely on the overall quality and price rather than the quantity. In the article, they compared slices and demonstrated an one dollar difference between the two. However, it was also mentioned that that 2 Bros was “not exactly delicious”, while Upside Pizza was tasteful. On the other hand, the article noted that Upside Pizza was crowded and it had bad service. In New York City, I know that it's hard to go anywhere without people cramming into every crevice possible. You can not exactly justify “bad” service due to people crowding, but there are ways around to compromise the issue.
joaquin (11106)
i like my pizza with pepperoni, and sometimes just plain. I also like my pizza with pineapples. Some may say that's disgusting but its not. Pizza is just pizza. I'm really big on pizza so i don't really care. Im not that picky on pizza.
mckenzie ermis (friendswood)
my favorite type of pizza would have to be a thin crust with white sauce. The bread would have to very crispy and not greasy. The cheese has to be melted with bacon and chicken on top. I don't like when people get up to the front of the line and still doesn't know what to get.
brian (webster texas)
you should try sottocasa pizza place in new York city it will blow your pizza mind away
jorge valerio (htx)
my favorite pizza is pepperoni with stuffed crust. its so good and when you have the bread with the cheese to finish it off makes it even better. i don't know why people like cheese pizza its so plain and nasty.
emily (friendswood, tx)
What’s my favorite kind of pizza? My favorite kind of pizza is a garlic bread, light on the tomato sauce, and light on cheese as well and with few of pepperoni on the top and a few veggies on it like black olives, green bell pepper, purple onion, and tomato’s itself. The reason why is, because I don’t like much cheese because it’s a blob when they just put it on the pizza for that to just slide everything on the pizza right off. Plus, it doesn’t even taste good like that, like I didn’t ask for a whole cheese pizza. Garlic bread on any type of pizza is the best bread to ask for, because it has a rich kind of flavor to it. Just makes the whole pizza taste good when you get to the crust. See the tomato sauce goes great with the garlic bread. Your taste buds are going to be pleased. I can bet you that for sure. Tomato sauce is the best sauce out there, obviously because it always goes good with any type of pizza but besides that the hot steamy tomato sauce melts right onto the bread and makes that taste good. So the veggies come into play, you may think it’s nasty but it’s not. See if you ever had DiGiorno’s supreme garlic bread veggie pizza then you’re missing out. Sadly, they no longer sell it. For who knows what reason, it would always be my mom’s and I favorite kind pizza because everything on it just went together.
Alexandra Pechlivanidis (Hoggard High School)
First, you need a blend of dry yeast, flour, sugar, salt, water, and olive oil left to rise, and then manually flattened. Next, a sweetened vegetable purée consisting of tomatoes, garlic, and onions. Evenly spread this along your flattened blend. Now, it's ideal to add coagulated casein, a dairy protein, and shred it over your purée. This is your base, its atoms are ready to be vibrated at a molecular level. My personal preference is to add diced fungi and thinly sliced, cured meat from the Sus scrofa domesticus; this gives your concoction a savory crunch, and memorable flavor to linger on the tongue.
Valeria (New York)
Personally i go for plain Cheese in all of my life that i have eaten pizza, theirs one Pizza that i go head over heals and theirs this pizzeria which has their crust that's light and fluffy and their cheese is very cheesy like its actually homemade pizza not flat pizza, honestly i don't mind eating flat pizza at all but i could say that pizza is pizza any people could hate it love it But i'm neutral about it.
Jordan Gourville (Hoggard High School, Wilmington, NC)
Personally, I like my pizza very plain. I enjoy lots of cheese with the occasional vegetable as a topping. In my opinion, the article was simply written for advertisement purposes. While many enjoy a simple slice of pizza, this company is trying to make people imagine a slice through major uses of imagery and descriptions. It almost makes your mouth water which is exactly what the advertiser is trying to get the customer to do. Whenever a new company is started, they try to set themselves apart from every other business that is similar to them. The Brooklyn natives are trying to reinvent pizza and many customers seem to be enjoying it.
Juan Almonte (New York)
I like my pizza to be fresh and local. I want the dough to be fresh and not processed from a factory same for the sauce, cheese, pepperoni, and sausage. I like my dough to be toss and neatly round then add the Tomato Basil Marinara Sauce, Then add MOZZARELLA or SWISS with the Margherita pepperoni and Italian sausage. 8-12mins in the oven once the pizza is pulled out of the oven cut up the pizza and let it rest for a bit to cool down and the grease in the pizza to cool down also.
Bella (Houston)
My favorite kind of pizza is margarita pizza. It has tomatoes, spinich, cheese, chicken and a really nice thick crust. I dont abide by any no no’s. Im not particular about pizza. Pizza is just pizza. My favorite pizza toppings are: Chicken, Cheese, Spinach, Pineapple and pepperoni. The most strange pizza topping I have ever tried was Lasagna on pizza. I thought it was weird before I tried it, but after I did, I loved it. The most I would pay for 1 slice of pizza is $1.50. Anything above that is too much. But I'm fine as long as its good pizza. Out of all the pizza they described in the article. I would try all. Like I said before, I'm not picky about pizza. I am very adventurous with food in general. I would eat at a cheap pizzeria or an upscale pizzeria. It all depends on the pizza.
cierra (11106)
I like mt pizza with just cheese. I sometimes get pepperoni or sausages. I like a very thin crust because it makes the pizza crunchy. I don't like pizzas with lot of sauce. I don't like pizza with chunky sauce.
yeshe (11106)
I like my pizza well done with not too much cheese but at the same time there can't be too much sauce. I like the combo especially the costco pizza. The crust has to be soft and squishy the inside but a little crunchy on the outside. The curst can't be too hard and cardboard type and dry. The pizza has to be hot but not too hot and the cheese can't be hard, or the dough can't be soggy.
kelly (11106)
I like my pizza with lots of cheese and pepperoni. I also like it when it's hot and crispy. I also like pizza with bacon on it or just plain cheese but I like it mostly with pepperoni.
Anthony (11106)
I like pizza with just cheese. Recently I have been liking pizza with vegetables. I used to love a thick crust because it would go good with the cheese. The only problem with the pizza with vegetables is I don't really like the jalapeno on the vegetable pizza. But I found out that I like cheese pizza with a thin crust. Also burnt cheese taste really good. I like AJ's pizza a lot that's my favorite type of pizza. I feel like Domino's is just ripping us off by making the slices small but making them fat.
Bennett (11106)
I like my pizza with a crusty, thick crust with tomato sauce and a huge amount of mozzarella cheese with pepperoni, black olives, bacon and sausage. With a lot of grease and a bit of crispyness on the edges and sides and maybe some extra vegetables like onions and some garlic dipping with a soda(Ideally Fanta) and that would be my perfect pizza.
Gandhi (Voice Charter School)
I like pretty much anything with pizza, as long as there is not pork or anything. My favorite place getting pizza is little caesars because it's the closest pizza shop from where I live. My favorite type of pizza is cheese pizza because it's the pizza that i had for most of the times I went to go out to eat pizza.
Shishir (11106)
i like my pizza with so much cheese in it. I can eat about 10 at the same time. My mouth has a water while i am typing this. I might go to pizza hut today by my self
jarell (11106)
my favorite kind of pizza is chicken and cheese, i like the whole slice to be nice and crunchy but at the same time have a soft crust, and with the cheese nice and chewy with the chicken just sitting there for you to eat.
gianinna (11106)
many people enjoy different types of pizza. personally, i like my pizza to be fresh out of the oven plain or with chicken. with the chicken, it is really crunchy and makes the pizza have more flavor into it. even without the chicken, the pizza still tastes good because of the melted cheese and sauce that are combined.
Agatha Rodriguez (Voice charter school)
I like my pizza with a lot of cheese. I like thick crust that's soft and warm. I like pineapple and bacon on it, no pepperonis. I like domino's pizza a lot because it's nice and crispy. And its not expensive and it taste really good.
Mila (11106)
I like my pizza very hot fresh. I like the gooey cheese as it covers the nice tomato sauce underneath. Lots of everything makes everything better. Pepperonis make the pizza so much more tastier and better because they were meant to be together. This means that any pizza pleases me and satisfies me.
Jannet (New York)
There are many choices in the world but my favorite type of pizza is Hawaiian pizza and cheese pizza. It depends on what type of pizza place I go too. In domino's I like Hawaiian pizza. In actual Italian places I eat cheese pizza. I love the crust and the cheese dripping down the trait. I just love Italian food in general. Pizza is honestly my favorite food. I like my Pizza nice a toasted with extra cheese with a sprite. I like it when it first comes out because pizza is better when it is hot. I also like eating the crust of the pizza when I am done.
Karma The Goat (11106)
I like my pizza with so much more cheese than there needs to be and like 20 pepperoni pieces each slice. I like them very juicy and mad good looking. I want every slice to be about 2 whole foot long. I also want my pizza to be filled with a little bit of chicken in the inside.
Hannah Jackson (Hoggard High School, Wilmington, NC)
It’s hard to believe that the restaurant with the cheapest pizza in town could be related to the restaurant with the best pizza in town, but they are. I was surprised to learn that the dollar-slice pizza place was owned by the same brothers who just opened a new pizzeria known for it’s fantastic flavor. Of course, that flavor comes with a higher price. I can understand why customers would be upset over the expensive price, but there’s more to the pizza than the price. Julia Moskin writes, “Is it that the cooks make fresh mozzarella in the basement every morning, and that the mozzarella is just one of four cheeses on the plain pie?” It takes a lot of hard work to make cheese and these workers make four different kinds! The employees are pouring all their energy into making pizza just for you, the customer. They are paid based off the price of the pizza they make. Without chefs, there is no pizza. The other thing that makes these slices so pricey is the ingredients that go into making it. Moskin also writes, “... Tang from the inside of the crust, smoke from the outside, funk from the caciocavallo cheese... and warm grassiness from the olive oil….” All of these ingredients cost money to get and make. That’s why the price of the pizza is so much more than the 2 Bros. When customers are disappointed over a price, they would stop and think about why the pizza costs so much. Then comes the hardest decision of all: is the pizza worth the price?
Alex (Massachusetts)
There are many different types of pizza that many people enjoy. But there is one type of pizza that you can never go wrong with. A cheesy, thick pizza, cooked to perfection. Not too well done, and not too raw, just pure bubbly cheese and sauce goodness. The crust has to be nice and squishy, with a little crunch. There should be melted cheese on the crust, and the sauce should be noticeable, but not too overpowering compared to the other items. The pie should be hand rolled, and brick oven roasted. The pizza has to be hot, but not so hot that it burns your mouth, just enough so you get the warm sensation. All in all, everyone likes a good cheese pizza, especially the ones that are that mouth watering.
Calis (School of the Woods High School)
I think that Upside Slice is worth a try. Since it is a new shop, they probably will not have a lot of business instantly so they must have something to drawn people in. They make pizzas with good quality, but those pizzas will also cost more than the 2 Bros. pizza shop. Both pizza shops are famous for different qualities in their pizzas, so they cater to different kinds of people.
Dylan (Houston)
I think its okay that they charge more for a better slice of pizza. When someone works as hard as he does because he wants to make a good piece of pizza then you want people to respect your creation. as for me, I like thin crust pizza with chicken and feta cheese.
Ainsley Norr (Hoggard High School, NC)
I think people should give an Upside Slice a try instead of turning away when they see the pricing. Although the Upside Pizza shop looks like an average New York pizza parlor, it is more than that. Upside Pizza is owned by the Halali Brothers, who also own 2 Bros pizza. What people need to understand is that Upside Pizza is aiming for something different than 2 Bros. Quality over quantity. At Upside Pizza, you won’t find the same low prices and fast service like 2 Bros and many other New York pizza shops. What you will find is mouth-watering slice filled with multiple flavors and textures, made in a $50,000 oven, and dressed with the perfect amount of garlic.
Alana (Northbrook)
My favorite type of pizza of thin crust cheese. I could eat deep dish but I don't prefer it. I live in Chicago and the best pizza is Lou Malnati's. They have a well known deep dish pizza and a great thin. The crust is very crunchy and buttery. The cheese is slightly brown and the sauce is authentic. It is the best! When it comes to pizza I don't really care. Pizza is pizza. I like Lou's, or we have a good restaurant named Barnaby's near me, or a classic Dominoes pizza is really good. I am a cheese girl and only do I eat cheese with pizza. I am a vegetarian so I wouldn't eat meat on my pizza. I have had peppers on my pizza in the past or oregano on my pizza as well. I am willing to pay whatever for good pizza. It has to be good pizza. It can't have a cardboard type crust with reheated sauce. It has to be authentic (except Dominoes). Pizza is always a good thing to get when you want something quick and easy and overall it just people in a happy place. I love pizza! After talking about pizza for this long my mouth is starting to water and suddenly I am craving pizza!
Daphne Julienne Reyeg (11106)
- So many choices... so much to debate. How do you like your pizza? I like my pizza fresh out of the oven. With a lot of cheese and artichoke. It may sound very strange but it tastes very good. Especially the cheese. The cheese and artichoke blend in together to create a great taste.
Anthony rodriguez (11106 voice charter school)
different people like there pizza different from other people. i like my pizza with nothing on it
Ethan (11106)
I personally always get a nice cheese pizza with chicken as the topping. I don't care what type of chicken it is I just prefer it with chicken because it can be any type of chicken and it's still good with the pizza no matter what.
Tahlia (ny)
I like my pizza with cheese and pepperoni , because like how the cheese melts with the pepperoni . I also like my pizza shape a triangle , because I like how you could fold it . I mostly get my pizza from Papa Johns , because they serve the best pizza .

I like my pizza with extra cheese. I like the taste of good, yummy, cheese. When I first try it, I quicking fell in love with this type of pizza. I just liked this pizza.

- So many choices … so much to debate. How do you like your pizza? (5 sentences minimum) I like my pizza freshly made b/c I feel like it tastes better when it comes fresh out of the oven. I don't really mind if there is pepperoni or if its just plain I just enjoy the pizza. I would prefer having a pizza with tomato sauce b/c I love how it tastes and is probably my favorite part of the pizza. Sometimes the cook puts to much cheese and I don't feel well b/c I don't really like cheese all that much. I would prefer that my pizza isn't to hot, but I like my pizza fresh out of the oven so I don't really have much of a choice. But at the end of the day I don't mind b/c pizza is pizza and no one can argue with that.

Everyone has a diferent opinion, some people like pepperoni, others like salad, in my case i don't really have a favorite pizza flavor, i don't like mushrooms or olives, i'm the type of person who can eat whatever pizza and not have a favorite because there are so many types of it.
Devin (Illinois)
My favorite kind of pizza has a Sicilian dough texture with green peppers, onion, sausage, and pepperoni. This pie tastes delicious. No matter what your feeling or what time of day it is, this pizza always satisfies your tastebuds. The softness of the dough, the crunchy green peppers, and onion make this pizza very unique. Then the soothing taste of the meats makes this pizza super delicious. This pizza is also healthy. If you use fresh ingredients, this pie will be more on the healthier side. Fresh green peppers and onion make the pizza taste better, and make the pizza ten times healthier. You also get a lot of protein from the meats. This is why this is my favorite type of pizza.

I like my pizza to be the right temperature and with an even amount of cheese and tomatoes. I dislike pepperoni's and any other topping. I like the crust to be thick and for the pizza to be pretty thin. I like when my pizza is freshly made and hasn't been out for a long time. Lastly, I like my pizza to have my cheese kind of slides off the pizza.

Some of my favorite and least favorite toppings are broccoli and jalapenos. Some of the most daring toppings that i have tried is artichoke hearts which i did not like . I would never eat mushrooms on my pizza even if someone asked me to.
Valerie (11106)
My favorite kind of pizza is just plain. It's so original but like it's too good and I don't want any topping to ruin it. I want it to be cheesy, but not too cheesy where it's messy or like thick that it's too chewy. I also want the right amount of sauce that doesn't make the pizza JUST taste like only sauce. I like it if all the flavors combine and that it tastes really good.

i do get advice from people of different generations they always tell me about doing good so you can become wealthy but always stay humble. I think their advice is both helpful and insightful because it guides us threw life and it helps us do good. I feel like sometimes it misses the mark because people are not always correct but most of the time it dosent
Alejandro (11106)
My favorite pizza topping is pepperoni and my least favorite is pineapple because pineapple doesn't belong on pizza. The strangest toppings I've seen on pizza was when my grandparents got a pizza with pineapple and ham. Pineapple is a topping I will never eat because eating pineapple with pizza is something that people on the internet could bully you for.
Gustavo (Voice charter 11106)
I would like my pizza hot with more cheese than sauce. The crust crunchy with cheese in the crust.I don't like my pizza with no toppings.I would want Parmesan cheese. With a cup of sprite will go well.
kid (voice charter school)
I like the pepperoni pizza and my lest favorite pizza is mushroom.what is the pizza that was strange is the one with tuna fish. I will not eat it if the pizza has onion on it
Shadab Sharif (Long Island City, NY)
I am very ordinary for my favorite pizza. I usually don't want meat on my pizza for religious reasons( Most of the meat served at pizza places are not Halal). I don't really like fruit on my pizza. I don't mind vegetables. I usually either have just a plain cheese pizza with extra cheese or sauce, with maybe some Parmesan or crushed red pepper, or a cheese pizza with olives and/or green pepper. I don't have a specific place that I prefer over all others, all I care about is having the pizza.
tenchoe (Voice Charter School 11106)
I like my pizza when it the crust is very thin and crunchy because I don't like the crust being very puffy. When the crust is thin then it's not to much to chew and when it's a little burned it's makes it crunchy and tasty. I like there to be a lot of cheese and for it to be stringy. I like a lot of cheese because I've always loved the mozzarella cheese. As if for the sauce, there should be not to little and not to much to even everything out. For the pizza in general it shouldn't be to greasy or oily. And for topping I don't like vegetables because veggies with cheese don't taste well in my opinion though, I'm fine with some pepperoni.
Kade (Northbrook)
My favorite type of pizza is loaded pepperoni and with cheese stringing to the edges of the pieces when you pick them up. The soft and squishy crust goes perfectly with the red sauce. I like my pizza on the morning after a big football game and there is only a couple of slices left in the box. PIcking the cold firm pieces out of the fridge i can already tell its going to be good.
Emmett Cuncannan (Glenbrook North Highschool)
My favorite kind of pizza is a thin crust pizza from dominoes with bacon and pepperoni on top. I sometimes put red pepper flakes on the pizza, but only when i am in the mood for some extra spice.
Elizza Moon (Northbrook)
The type of pizza I like is not like any other, I promise. My pizza has gluten free dough and vegan cheese, and I buy it in a box at the grocery store. Although its sounds fairly gross it's actually pretty good and I can barely tell the difference. Don't get me wrong I love cheese but being vegan kinda limits my options.
Andy Lee (Northbrook)
I like vegetable pizza. I like the flavor and taste of this pizza. It just feels right to have a vegetable in pizza. I don't really like a vegetable all by itself. It still tastes good on pizza.
Rebecca (Northbrook IL)
I'm a pretty simple person when it comes to toppings, but it's the cheese that will get you tongue tied. My ideal pizza is a pan styled dough that's fluffy and has the right amount of chew to it. Covered in a silky layer of white sauce, seasoned with a pinch of salt and pepper. Then blanketed over is grated mozzarella that gives you the perfect amount, of stretchiness when you take a bite. Followed by fresh mozzarella; which, is just so thick and gooey. And lastly ricotta. Ricotta is the perfect touch, because it's so creamy and fluffy. Then I top it off with pepperoni, and it gives it such a good zang! And when you take it out of the fire-wood oven the cheese will be sizzling and full of airey bubbles. And you can hear the crunch, of the crust when you bite it.
Sidney Holman (Northbrook, IL)
Pizza is one of those foods that you can get for a buck while you are in a rush or reheat if you don't want to leave your house, but it can also be worth $5 depending on the type of pizza and who made it. I can get a big delicious deep dish pizza which is layers of gooey cheese and silky marinara sauce with sausages spreaded out through all the silky marinara sauce.
June Lee (Glenbrook High School)
My favorite kind of pizza are the pizzas that are 6 inches, has thin crusts with lots of mozzarella cheese, and has a lot of toppings. For the toppings, I would like a fresh and juicy pineapple, savory mushrooms, less salty and chewy sausages, bittersweet olives that enhances the taste of the pizza, and juicy but tender beef. The sauce would be the classical tomato sauce that is extra hot but sweet from coming right out of the oven. Finally, there would be a bit of bbq sauce all over the pizza in order to create a more stimulating taste.
Brandon (Illinois)
Being from Chicago you would think my favorite pizza would be a nice deep dish but it's actually the BBQ chicken blast from California pizza kitchen. So basically the BBQ Chicken Blast is 3 of my favorite things chicken, bbq sauce and pizza all put into one. Now this may not sound good to you but trust me give it a try, when this pizza is hot out the oven the cheese slowly slides off and the taste of the cheese and bbq together is amazing.
Brady (G)
My favorite type of pizza is cheese with onions. This choice is very simple, but the taste is all that counts. I am from Chicago and the best pizza comes from here. Out of all the amazing pizza I have tried, cheese pizza with onions is the best. The pizza is freshly baked in the oven as the dough is becoming hard and taking a shape. When the pizza comes out of the oven, a large splatter of red sauce is slathered on the dough. Then a sticky piece of mozzarella cheese is put on the dough as there are little strands of the mozzarella hanging on the side. Finally, the pizza is topped off with a couple of soft cooked delicious onions. I typically like to eat pizza with only cheese and vegetables or sausage.Anything else including pepperoni doesn't leave a good taste in my mouth. The most odd toppings I have put on my pizza was pineapple. This was because fruit with pizza seems like a disaster, but the pineapple turned out good. I would never touch pepperoni even if someone paid me because of the terrible taste. I would be willing to pay around $10 for a bunch of pieces of pizza. No way I would pay $50 because pizza is typically a lot cheaper. Pizza is different from other meals because you can put a bunch of toppings on it without the pizza tasting odd.
Brianna Kim (Northbrook, Illinois)
I think spending the extra couple dollars on pizza is worth it because you would be getting the highest end of brands like they offer at Upside Pizza. Spending only a dollar on a pizza that isn't special in any way is good when you just want a quick slice but when you are trying to taste more flavor and luxury it is worth it.
Jason (northbrook, Illinios)
My favorite kind of pizza is the Chicago deep dish. The deep dish pizza is like regular pizza but on steroids. It has double the crust, double the cheese, double the sauce, and double the toppings of a regular pizza. Who doesn't like when you have double the amount your suppose to have? My ideal deep dish pizza is to get a nice and crispy crust, the perfect amount of souce, a thick layer of cheese, and a good amount of pepperoni and mushrooms.
Shaiya P. (Sarasota,Fl)
I am a simple girl of simple tastes. My ideal pizza is a nice cheese pizza. I want a thin, but fluffy crust with a good dose of pesto sauce. On top of that a nicely seasoned tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, and finely graded parmesan cheese.
Sophia Southerland (Hoggard High School, Wilmington NC)
I am pretty picky when it comes to pizza. A lot of people prefer a lot of toppings. A definite "no no" for pizza is vegetables or fruit. In this article, Mr. Grossman said, "I respect the garlic powder, but that is not what we are trying to do here". I agree with this because I do not like Garlic powder at all. I honestly do not like anything on my pizza besides a lot of cheese. My favorite kind of pizza is less pizza sauce with extra cheese and thick crust. I think that 5 dollars is definitely too much for pizza. Nobody will pay 5 dollars on a piece of pizza because there are so many other pizza places they could get it from for cheaper. At that point it doesn't even matter about the quality, as long as you get what you want on the pizza.
Angela Guan (Texas)
I'm really not picky about pizzas at all. For instance, I like crusts that are thin, crisp yet I also like crusts that are soft and doughy. Basically, I like all crusts except "in-between" crusts because they taste too plain for me. A pizza "no-no" would be any kind of fruit on top. Just the thought of bread, tomato sauce, and cheese followed by fruit on the top are too gross for me (sorry pineapple-pizza lovers).
Brennon Humphry (Bryant High School Arkansas)
I usually eat vegetarian foods for health reasons, and I choose vegetarian pizza when it is available to me. My ultimate pizza would start a thin, crispy, crunchy crust. Then I would ladle a garlicky, sweet, tomato marinara sauce over the crust. I would sprinkle a whole milk mozzarella cheese to add a gooey factor to the pizza. Finally I would add bright, fresh, healthy vegetables all over the pizza such as onions, peppers, tomatoes, spinach, and chopped herbs. My dream pizza is tasty and people feel energized after eating it.

i dont like pizza but i like tacos
Julliet Gonzalez (Sarasota, FL)
My personal favorite is a medium width-ed crust with some nice cheese crust with red onions, diced roma tomatoes, bacon, and ham. This glorious combo came to be because one day I just decided to put everything I liked on a pizza hut make-your-own pizza. It's 100% the best pizza ever. Everyone who's tried it with me has loved it too.
Jeffrey Yin (Masterman MS)
Pizza comes at different prices depending on the ingredients, its quality, its structure and so much more. As a kid, I am really willing to pay for what I see as the best deal, meaning it offers the most for the amount of money I have. Would you really pay for something that is worth 3 dollars to make, but you have to play double that? In my opinion, a $1 pizza from 2 Bros is an amazing deal. Even though the quality may be bad, where can you find a whole slice of pizza for that price. Now the $5 pizza on the other hand is a whole new story. That pizza depends on the quality of the pizza and it’s ingredients. If the pizza had like, an amazing quality of cheese, dough and its size. I would probably pay $5 for something that is good and fills me up. I would probably want to try the $5 pizza because it would be a treat because I don’t spend $5 on a pizza often. If I had to choose between one $5 pizza and 5, $1 pizzas, I would choose 5, $1 pizzas because I know that will fill me up and to me that is more reasonable.
Jason C (Philadelphia, J.R. Masterman MS/HS)
What are your favorite and least favorite toppings? What are the most adventurous or strange toppings you have ever tried? What would you never touch even if they paid you to try it? My most favorite topping is pepperoni. I have always loved pepperoni, it makes just a regular pizza better. My least favorite topping is anchovies. The most adventurous topping I have tried was bacon. I didn’t think it would be good but it turns out it really is. As I said before, anchovies are my least favorite topping. I would never try something as disgusting as that. The anchovies would just make the pizza worse, it would give it a downgrade. Anchovies just make me sick.
Eric F. (Masterman MS/HS, Philly)
Since I am vegetarian, I can not be very picky about my pizza, and will eat any pizza that comes my way. But, I always look for overloaded pizzas. The ones with o many different topping you can’t even see the cheese. I think a pizza like that with no meat is a lot better than a pepperoni one. But, pizzas like that cost a lot of money, usually charging per topping. So, I usually can not get my ideal pizza and have to settle with two or three toppings.
Lily (PA)
My favorite type of pizza is a type of stuffed pizza. Pizza with a thick, stuffed crust. But there's a turn. inside the stuffed crust is pasta. It may not sound good, but it is. After we have the thick crust base down, the toppings have to be simple. Three simple toppings. Tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, and parmesan cheese. This pizza might not sound good, but trust me it is.
Oscar (Florida)
i like a pizza that is fairly controversial and not many people believe it should exist, but personally it’s my favorite pizza ever. Hawaiian pizza, other wise known the pizza with pineapple and ham. It’s so delicious, and it’s better with a nice soft crust. With the perfect amount of cheese, ham and pineapple, the Hawaiian pizza out beats every other pizza.
Queria Scriven (Booker High School)
On my pizza i prefer thick crust but thin crust is also good as well. I’m very plain when it comes to dressing up my pizza I just want regular cheese, mariana sauce, pepperoni, sausage, and ham. I like mine hot because I can’t enjoy it otherwise. Most importantly I have to have ranch on my pizza , it’s the best part!
