Children who look to be about 7-9 years old are in a classroom. The teacher is not paying attention to them. They all look excited and some are holding up two fingers/peace signs. Because of all this I don't think it's a normal school day.

I believe this picture is showing a group of students taking a picture together. I say this because the students are grouped together and some of them are smiling and holding up peace signs. I can also see desks which is why I say they are a group of students.
If you take a quick glance at this picture, one would assume that these are kids watching a video of some sorts in a classroom. But based on some children posing and others either listening or staring in confusion, I can infer that these children aren’t watching a video, but instead are either in a zoom type call where they can see themselves. One can only assume that these children are on a zoom call with someone important or famous. This could be happening anywhere, but my guess is that this takes place somewhere in Latin America.
Based on the picture I can infer that the students are talking to a very famous person on a projector screen. What makes me say that is because they seem to interact with whoever they are looking at in front of them. I also see the excitement on their faces and how some of them look surprised. I see that some of them left their school supplies and backpacks down just to come to the front of the class to interact with the person which makes me think it is a famous person.

In this photo we can see some elementary school students, probably Latinos. They are in a classroom but they are not sitting in their chairs, instead of this they are gathering in the center of the classroom and are looking at something which is high.
When I first had seen the image I had thought that maybe somebody is taking them a photo, probably with a drone based on the height they are looking at. I believed this mainly due to the children in the center of the photo, who are giving others bunny ears and also doing peace signs, something that we mainly do when somebody take us photo. But when I had a closer look, I noticed the expression of all students and I would say that they are probably watching something. Something which is very interesting as they seem so excited and very absorbed on what they see, giving their teacher the opportunity to do some work.

This seems to be a photo of children in a classroom at school. The classroom seems small and it looks like some of the children are struggling to see things from the back. I think this classroom is in an area with a lack of importance in education.

In this photo, the kids are encouraging one another and excited to learn. It is touching because I know, personally when I was this age, I went to school because I had to. In classrooms of this size, it can be difficult for teachers to keep the attention of every student in the room so this is impressive. I also notice that a lot of the students are very diverse in appearance, clothing, and attitude.

We also made the suggestion of a Skype with another class/person/or scientist. We think maybe it's happening during the spring or summer and that three of the students must be involved in a special during school or after school event such as a club, since they are wearing the same white top with a red tie or ribbon.

Jamarie - They are answering questions with their fingers up. They are looking at a promethean board and looking on Brain Pop and answering questions while the teacher sits at the table. I notice there are a lot of kids. There are brick walls and weird windows. They look like kindergarten kids. I think their school color is black and yellow.

Here's my class's thought on the picture (10th Grade - Germany)
The picture Shows a classroom in a rather poor part of Latin America. The families of all the children in this classroom are in need and the school has a partnership with another school in maybe North America or a more wealthier part of Latin America. The class ist just video calling their partner class. That’s why they are standing together so closely and showing the peace sign. Maybe each of the students has a pen pal in the other class and they are meeting for the first time or something like that.

They are probably talking to someone on skype and/or are taking a picture, you can tell because of the way they are not only faced and smiling towards the board they are waving peace signs. They are probably in a third world country because of the state of the school and that there are bars at the window (probably for safety).

These students are completely captivated by the information presented in front of them. The children in the picture are learning mathematics. The answer to the current question is two. Which is why some of the children are holding up the number two with their fingers. The adult doesn't seem to be concerned with the children's behavior. Due to the structure of the building, this picture was most likely not taken in the United States.

I think this picture shows a classroom in the Philippines or somewhere tropical because the kids are wearing clothes for warmer weather. It seems like they're looking at a screen that has a video teaching them about numbers, because some are holding up the number 2 with their fingers, as well, they look very intrigued because they're learning something new, or they could be looking at a speaker talking to them about a different country, that's why they look so confused. I think the picture was taken . from another teacher or another speaker observing the class. You can tell that they are in a school classroom because of the amount of kids in the picture and the type of desks some of the kids are sitting in. They seem to be about to take a picture because they are all looking in the same direction at what could be a camera. Some are also posing with common gestures you do in pictures. But some seem not ready which would give you insight that the picture hasn't been taken yet.

I disagree, due to the faces of some of the kids, they seem more like they are watching something rather than taking a picture.
The kids in this picture are in a classroom, but it's a run down school. I think it's a rundonw school becuase of the classrom size and the graffitii on the desk. They seem to be entertained by what's on the board. They most likely are trying to solve a problem due to some of the kids' confused reactions. After they find their aswer they need to show the teacher by responding with their fingers.

These are students perhaps in grade 3 or 4 in a classroom. There appear to all be of the same nationality. The children live in a hot climate as seen by them all wearing short sleeves. The teacher isn't paying attention. The reinforced windows bring to mind the question of what the environment is, especially because the children look very happy.

In this picture, I see children at school. I believe they are at school because there are backpacks, pencil cases, and who looks to be a teacher to the right. All these objects tell me these children are at school. Also, the kids all look about the same age, telling me they are in a class. I believe the children are looking at the board because they seem very engaged. They seem to be looking at a math problem. I think this because some children are holding up two fingers, symbolizing the number two. In addition, the children could be holding up a peace sign. They could be in history class, talking about world peace. Another reason why I believe they are in history class is because the posters in the back look like maps. Lastly the older person to the right is most likely an assistant teacher. She is staring at papers and not paying attention to what the children are doing. This makes me wonder if someone else, perhaps the lead teacher, is in the front of the room teaching a lesson. In conclusion, this picture shows a group of children invested in their schoolwork.
This appears to be a school setting due to the number of desks and the number of school-age children that are present in the room. This does not seem to be a particularly wealthy area. This is because of the fact that many of the desks seem to be broken and there are not enough desks and chairs for the students.
The school kids are participating in some kahoot-esque game, but holding up their answer rather than entering it on a computer. This is probably due to it being a poorer community, also shown in the quality of the desks and cleanliness of the room. A major detail I see in this picture is how crowded the desks and the classroom look. These are kids in a classroom, maybe a school seen by the fact that they are doing or learning stuff. THey are part of an experiment with an airborne drug that causes the students to have the same hallucinogen. They are all clearly out of it, I believe that the kids are looking up at the ceiling where they see a riddle with two options; it reads "Would you rather fight 100 duck sized horses or 1 horse sized duck?". They are going with the second option, hence many of them holding up the number two, and the second option being to " fight the 1 horse sized duck". Long story short these kids are screwed, the correct answer is the "100 duck sized horses".
This image is of elementary school children being fascinated by a new school camera system. This is a lower income school, the building itself and the supplies don’t look to be the best of the best, and it also seems to be outside of America due to the writing of a language I do not recognize and the students and teacher looking to be of Hispanic or Latino heritage. The new camera system idea came from all the children being fascinated and even posing for the object behind the photographer, but this isn’t something interesting enough for the adult woman there to pay any mind to. This is a great picture with a wide variety of emotion and uniqueness that I haven’t seen before.

In this weeks picture, it looks like the students are answering a question that could possibly be displayed on a tv that is on the wall. I know this because some kids are holding up two fingers, which could be the answer to the question, and every kid is looking at the same place on the wall. I like the kids focus on the activity at hand, which seems to be some time of craft because of the scissors and papers out on all the kids desks. They all are holding up peace signs for the picture too which shows that they know what is going on and are aware of the picture even though they are all looking in the front of the classroom and not the side like the angle that the picture is taken from.
Looks like a normal class paying attention and participating while learning something new. But what I don't quite understand is, why is the teacher sitting at her desk and not teaching those children.

This makes me think that they are looking at a screen. All of the children look interested and are all focused on the front. They could be talking to someone through facetime. This could be a possibility because they are all gathered to the middle of the classroom. Holding up two fingers could be them saying hello or saying that they are in second grade. They could also be playing some kind of math or learning game. This is probably in a heavily hispanic population.

In the picture,The majority of people in the classroom appear to be hispanic leading me to believe that this is not occuring in the United States. I see young children (most likely between the ages of 7-9) in a classroom focused on something in front of them. The teacher is not looking where the students are, signifying that what everyone is looking at is of little importance. The children are also holding up their fingers possibly being responsive to what is in front of them. From all of this I can conclude that the teacher is showcasing a video to the children. The children are not sitting at their desks and seem entertained proving that the video they are watching is not educational.

The first thing that is instantly clear is these are young kids, around 3rd grade or so, in a classroom. In this picture, there is a classroom full of kids that are watching something intently on the screen. It looks modern because of the clothes and shoes the kids are wearing. The video they are watching may be a video on how to count numbers, and the kids with their hands held up are practicing. The teacher isn't interested and is grading papers so a low level video like that is probable.

I think that this is a classroom in poorer area, and the teacher just asked the students to pose for a picture. I also think that in whatever area they are in, the peace sign has more value or symbolism. This is because while a large amount of the students are doing it, a good amount of them still are not. If the teacher had told them to hold up the peace sign, more of them probably would have.

The first thing I noticed about this picture was that it is a classroom. It is pretty obvious as it is full of children and desks with backpacks and traditional school materials that are scattered across the room. Another thing that points to it being a classroom are the posters on the back wall. What I'm thinking is that there is probably some sort of TV in the room that they are looking up at. Usually, if there is a TV in a classroom, it is higher up on the wall. The only thing that is really confusing to me is that several of them are holding their hands up in peace signs.

In this picture, the setting looks like it could be in a school. All the students are probably looking at the board or perhaps TV. They could possibly be looking at an educational video because there is a teacher far off to the right in the corner just looking at papers. Right off the bat, it is very apparent that these are students in a classroom based on the desks and school supplies throughout. There is a kid with a textbook as well, and it appears that the females in the classroom are wearing some kind of uniform. The classroom looks very packed, so it's possible it may be a kind of assembly. The country of origin is likely from somewhere in South America based on the color of the children. It appears they are looking at some kind of screen above them, they're probably on a video chat, due to the attentiveness of the children and their eagerness to be in the view.

At first, I thought that the teacher was asking the kids it they knew the answer to a problem, but I noticed that the teacher was quietly sitting at her desk. I noticed that some of the kids are holding up two fingers and I immediately thought "Dora". I was thinking they were watching Dora where she asks how many iguanas there are in the trees or something. However, there is that one kid who is holding a notebook and writing in it, so maybe it isn't Dora. I think there is a instructor in the front of the class talking about political stuff.

In the motion picture, The Hunger Games, something that the rebellion does is whistle a tune and hold up two fingers. I think that a hole in the roof opened up and a vortex to that dimension appeared. These students are gathered around in awe and are showing their respects to Everdeen. A few of the kids are confused and have no clue what is going on, hence the surprise in their faces.
In this picture, there is a classroom full of kids. Based on the condition of the desks, and the style of the classroom, one can assume that the place is relatively old. The children are all mostly wearing shorts and short sleeved shirts, which lets me know that they are in a warm environment. The children are all looking at the front of the room, smiling and making peace signs, which shows that there is probably someone up there, whether in person or digitally. The kids look elementary age, and most look intrigued and interested.

The woman in the picture is most likely a teacher because she is sitting in a desk at the front of the room. They are taking a picture because the kids are all looking at the same spot and some are holding up peace signs while some of them are smiling.
In this picture, a group of small children seem to be posing for a picture inside their classroom since a lot of them are holding up peace signs. The children are looking up at something, like as if someone was taking a photo of these young students. I can see that there are school materials and books scattered on the students' desks, so that might mean that they were in the middle of a lecture and suddenly stopped because the teacher wanted to take a picture of them. The children have dark skin, so they might be Latino or Hispanic.

Based on the notebooks, desks, and the amount of kids, I'm guessing this is a classroom with elementary aged children. What immediately stands out is that there's a large group of children looking toward one point with desks surrounding the majority of them. This is most likely a school, with the teacher teaching math, judging by a few of the children holding up numbers on their fingers. The answer to the problem is most likely two, as all the children are holding up that number. These children are currently somewhere in the middle east, with the writing inscribed on the side of the desk on the lower center of the picture.

Like others you are also attempting to find a geographic location to where this might be, and for you this looks like a country in the Middle East based off the writing inscribed on a desk. To me this looks like kids in a poor country like africa or guatemala learning or try ing to learn how to read and wright. Also they all look really poor hence my thought on them living in a poor country. Also since their are so many books and a backpack got me thinking that their in school. another reason i am thinking that their in another country is because the class room is not that nice with means a poor school system.

This photo displays an elementary age group of children in class. They seems to not be in a formal session of class based on how their desks are in place- some are also sitting on desks, standing up, etc. They also seem to know the picture is being taken from the way they are posing for the picture. Another interesting aspect of this picture is that all the children seemed to be well dressed and clean, while the school building itself looks rather run down.
Students are in a classroom, but its feel like a little room so it may be a run down school. Keeping in mind the children are wearing nice shoes and all are fully clothed, so it can not be too poor. The classroom has posters in it, most likely drawn by the kids, making the room more comforting. It does though have bars on the windows creating a less comforting vibe, plus the walls are just brick. Students are learning actively and all seem interested in the lesson.

All of you are noticing that it is taking place in a classroom based off the materials like pencils, notebooks, desks, and the environment. @Keitht you were pointing out a label or logo for a clothing company called Wilson and simply wondering about that, while others are attempting to understand what the students might be looking at. There are multiple interpretations given by you all. The children might be answering a question about math or something a substitute teacher put up. Others think that they might be on Skype or watching a presentation.
What do you all say that makes you say one (watching presentation) as opposed to the other (answering question)?
I think these are kids in a school in some other country. I concluded that they are in a school because there are several kids and they have backpacks and school supplies. Now that I have clarified that they are students, what are they doing? I believe the kids are on a video chat with a school in a different part of the world. I remember in elementary school that sometimes we would have video calls with a school in Africa, I think that these students are on a call with some other school and are waving and giving the peace sign to their new friends.

In this photo is a group of kids in a classroom. I know this because of the commonly found supplies located on their desks. This school is located in an unsafe neighbor because of the barred windows. It's evident that these kids are in a classroom because of the desks and the similar ages. They are all focusing on the same thing, some of them posing, which makes me think that the kids are looking at a video of them or getting ready for a picture. I think it's more likely that they're looking at a sort of reflection of the classroom, either in a game or through a camera's view. I would guess that this is somewhere in south america or Mexico as the kids have a darker skin tone and look ethnic.

In this picture it looks like these kids were doing arts and crafts earlier. I know this because there is pencils, cut paper, scissors, and crayons all over the desks. Additionally, I notice is that their classroom is on one of the higher levels. I know this because when you look out the window, you do not see the ground, and it appears like they are up high in general. A third and final thing I notice is that these kids are trying to figure something out in front of them. It could be a math problem of some sort. In this photograph, there are children at a school, This is most likely because of these people’s appearance and the way they dress, and they are at a school because of the desks, chairs, backpacks, and the teacher whom is present in the background. The children are looking at something and they are fascinated by it. I made this conclusion by looking at the kid’s facial expressions and they all appear to be glancing in the same direction. What the kids are fascinated by, is a new piece of technology. I can tell this, for there is a glare in the window that makes a reflection which looks like a television. I think that the children in the photo are posing for a photo. Given the latest news and the ethnicity of the children I am making an educated guess that this is a school in Venezuela. If this is in Venezuela, or a similar country, I would say this is a relatively nice school. It also appears to be in the city, because out the window you can see another building very close.

I think that this takes place in a classroom in Mexico or the US border. The kids are all staring at the wall and in a classroom if that is happening there is probably a whiteboard there. Many of them are holding up two finders, so I think they are finding the answer of a math problem and those that are not holding up their answer have not found it yet.
The kids in a classroom are doing one of two things:
1 They could be learning a lesson and are looking at the board where there is a skype thing going on.

They seem pretty captivated by what they are looking at it. The person in the right corner seems indifferent, maybe she is the teacher. Also, judging by the children's appearance, this picture might have been in taken in South America, including the resent politic dishevelment in Venezuela, it might be even more relevant to suggest that this picture was taken in South America.

It appears to be a school in Central America, judging from the lack of diversity among students, or maybe somewhere that the specific ethnic group is more dense compared to somewhere else in the world. The students seem to be actively learning and participating. It looks like they have some sort of choice, as they look old enough to know what 1+1 is.

I think that they are are 4th or 5th graders and they could have got a new game or program to help them learn. It could be for math since some of the students are holding up numbers. Another student seems to be holding a book and taking notes, and it looks like a math book. They all seem to be pretty engaged, and the teacher doesn't look like she's teaching anything, which makes me think that it is some sort of interactive game on a projector.
It is clearly evident that the children are in a classroom due to the backpacks and desks. It appears that the students are engaging something exciting as they are all gathered around whatever they are looking at or watching. As such they could be watching an exciting math video (fingers), or watching a countdown (again due to the fingers). However, they could also be watching a soccer game they find captivating (that the teacher clearly does not). The area may be in a semi affluent area as they don't appear overly poor and seem to have decent school supplies. They also all appear to be of latino descent leading one to believe it takes part in S./Central America or in the Sun Belt of the U.S.
Kids are all looking at one point in the room. It is a classroom because they are all around the same age, and have desks. They seem to be looking at a camera, or skyping someone. They could be doing the peace sign, as a signal to say goodbye.
They are all looking up at a board, and one of them has a book out. They could be playing a game or studying for some sort. It could be in south america.
In this picture, a classroom full of small children are witnessing the infamous celebrity rabbit Big Chungus for the first time. I can tell that they are students because they have desks with supplies such as pencils and paper on them. It must be a very large person or thing that they are looking at, since they are all squinting and looking up. Some look overjoyed, others look surprised and in awe. Some of them are making "bunny ears" with their fingers (or peace signs). What thing is big, has bunny ears, and loves children? Big Chungus, of course. Why would he be at a school? Well, these children are very small, so they may be listening to a motivational speech. Big Chungus may be showing them how no matter what size or height you start out as, you too can become big and powerful. You can make a difference, regardless of how big your are, since he would be showing them the importance of following "big" dreams. But the teacher doesn't seem to notice, which makes sense, since the imaginary figure Big Chungus can only be seen by children (or children at heart). Big Chungus does tour schools all over the world, so it would make sense that while it is definitely an unexpected visitor, one that is almost as high as the ceiling (or taller) is what's happening here.
This looks like a classroom full of kids from different schools hence the ties and regular clothes. It looks like there is a presentation going on because it looks like an adult is sitting at the desks on the right side of the picture grading. The children look very into whatever the presenter is saying because they are rising their hands with the number 2.
I think that there is a teacher at the front of the room, where all the kids are looking. And it could be a math lesson because they are holding up two fingers. It looks like they are around eight years old. This could be a school in Mexico.

Students are holding up their fingers. Could there be another teacher out of the frame? They could be in the US, but students appear Hispanic.

We see that the students are all looking at a specific point in the classroom, possibly at a camera, Smartboard, math lesson, or a clock. They look excited, so we think they are maybe waiting for summer vacation/recess, or getting their picture taken. The two fingers being held up are maybe the answer to a math question. We think the location is maybe the Dominican Republic or somewhere in South or Central America. We noticed the lack of diversity.

That there is a lack of diversity? Remember to have your students root their inferences with evidence found in the image, as there are many possibilities up for interpretation.
This picture shows a group of kids and an adult in a classroom. The kids are all looking at something and some are holding up two fingers. I think the kids are watching a video to help them learn math. I know that they are learning because it looks like they are in a classroom and they have books and supplies out on the desks. I think the kids are holding up two fingers because the answer to the problem is two, and the kids got excited and wanted to share that they knew the right answer. The kids look like they are in elementary school, maybe third grade. The kids are not in uniform so I can infer that this is most likely a public school. The woman in the picture, who I assume is the teacher (because she is sitting at the front of the class and at a desk) is doing work at her desk, showing that she probably knows what is going on, which can back up the point that what is going on in the picture was a planned part of her teaching. This picture could have been taken anywhere, but I can guess that it was taken in a Spanish area because all of the people in the picture look Hispanic.

I see kids in a tiny classroom and it looks like there getting ready to leave because of the bags and everything. The classroom looks a little old because of the desks. It looks like the students are watching something in the front of the classroom they look like there enjoying whatever there watching. Also students are sitting on desks and some and holding up the number two.

We see kids in a classroom and we are guessing that they are in third grade because they seem to be the same size as us. It looks like an older school than ours because the desks look kind of old. The kids look like they are watching something on a tv or monitor or smartboard but it must be up high because everyone is looking up. A few kids are giving a peace sign. Maybe they are watching something important.

We think it is either the last day of school and that is why all of their stuff is packed in their bags on their chairs or they don't have lockers. They are holding up their hands to communicate, maybe sign language. We also think it is the end of the school day.

Student 1: Students look like they're looking at something exciting because of the expressions on their faces. Some are doing "bunny ears". Maybe they're looking at a projector? And making bunny ears so that way "it shows up on the screen." (The ones making the ears are in front of the projector). It appears that the class is going on at night because it's dark outside and there appears to be another building next to it with the window open with the light on. Location is maybe Mexico because the kids appear to be of Latino descent.
Student 2: They're looking at something. The student in the brown shirt is holding something that he can write on. So maybe they could be doing an interactive classroom assignment and everyone is participating?

It looks like these kids are at school, with there friends,and they are having a fun time.It also looks like there teacher is taking a picture of them and they are all being silly in this picture. I see some kids looking up at the board, I also see a couple desks, and a teacher in the background, and i see backpacks hanging on the chair desks. t seems to me that some people are wearing uniforms and some people are wearing whatever they want. In today's New York Times VTS, I think that someone is taking picture. I think this because they are looking at the front of the whiteboard. Another reason this idea makes sense to me is because some of students are laughing. I wonder if they are taking a picture?
The kids are doing peace signs and having fun in the classroom of an elementary school. Their desks are messy. The school may be in Mexico. Some of the other kids are looking confused and bored.
This pciture is taken place in a classtoom, most likely during present day. There are kids and desks and chairs, writing utensils and paper. This photo was not taken in America, but most likely somewhere in cental or south america. The people in this picture do not come from the wealthiest families or go to a very nice school. The kids are wearing ill fitting clothes and the chairs are run down and beaten up a bit. The kids are all staring at something at the front of the room. Some kids are also putting two fingers up in a peace sign. They could be looking at a screen or could be on a video call with someone. This person could be a foreigner, maybe american or european, becuase some of the kids seem very intrigued, probaly due to the lack of interaction with people unlike them, and the peace sign is a very foreign thing to central america, and the person could be teaching them. I see some children at school. They seem to be looking at a board. The board might be showing a video. Most of the children are looking at it, so it is probably interesting. Some of them are raising their hands with two fingers up. This might be a way for them to answer questions, a way to show that the kids should be quiet, or they could be imitating something they are seeing on the video. The desks seem to be in disrepair, indicating that this is a poorer area. It is probably a public school because the children aren't wearing uniforms. All the children seem to be around the same age, but it is possible that they have multiple grades in one room.

Perhaps they are answering a question or imitating what they are looking at. @Elizza Moon agrees with your third idea that this could be a classroom management tactic -- what did you all see that made you say that?
It would appear that this is a classroom at an elementary school, I can tell this because of the children's age, supplies, and the room they are in. It also appears that there is a teacher on the right and maybe para or a teachers assistant in the back of the room. I believe that these children are solving a math problem, and that this picture was taken some what recently from 2000-present day.

I think that these kids are all at school and possibly taking a photo. I believe this because all of the desks and the teacher sitting at their desk. It looks like the students are taking a picture because some of them are smiling while lots of them are holding up peace signs.
It looks like a math class in a South American country, I believe it is a math class because most of the students are holding up there hands portraying the number 2. It's in a classroom that looks quite old and overcrowded, maybe it's in a poorer part of a town.

What's going on in this picture?
It appears that these kids are at school. I say this because there are desk and it seems like there's a teacher in the corner. The reason some kids have two fingers up is because in some schools thats how to get your kids quiet when it's time to learn.
The children are at school because the classroom has desks and I believe in the corner is the teacher. Some students look like they are wearing a school uniform and some children are dressed however they want. There are different emotions in the student's faces. Some emotions are confused, interested, and happy. They don't seem old enough to be in middle school, so I believe they are elementary students. All of the students are wearing a t-shirt and shorts which shoes they live in a hotter climate. They might live in South America, maybe Bolivia.

Hi @VTS Moderator Thank you for the reply. I believe they are in elementary school because the children look young, there are crayons/coloring utensils on their desks, and there is a drawing in the back. After discussing with some peers, we believe the location is in Indian because the way everyone is dressed shows the climate is warm. Also the desk that has all of the supplies looks like it has Indian letters on the front.

@Isha I think this is in South America because the classrooms are unique and the children are wearing shorts which can indicate somewhere warm.
I think that the kids are at school. This is because there are deks, chairs, and an adult in a classy shirt. She is wearing a green shirt which could indicate that she is somebody formal. Backpacks are scattered throughout the room. Pencils, markers, and paper are all around the room. These supplies are used in school for when kids make projects. A few kids have their fingers out for counting numbers. There are students in classy shirts and some with everyday clothes. The different dresswear is what students at schools typically wear. This may also be a church class because there are some students dressed in nice clothes. Church classes could have similar things in the classroom just like school.

I really think this is a school classroom because the kids are holding up numbers which could be a math lesson. Also, a kid seems to have some sort of textbook that could be for learning math. The kids are probably looking at a big screen or white board because the teacher is in the back and the kids are interacting with the front. The older women in green at the back is a teacher since she is dressed nicely and looks a lot older than the other kids. The students have backpacks which is what kids at schools wear to hold their supplies. There are papers and pencils on the desks and this is what kids have for school supplies. There are kids in casual clothes and others in fancy clothes. A school will usually have a mix of kids in different clothes since they have different styles.
In this picture you can see a classroom in some part of mexico or spain that is very poor with very poor school districts. The camera taking this picture is getting the kids reactions to using a projector for the first time. I believe they are doing math through the projector and some of the kids are holding up the answer to the question on the board. The kid in the back right in a yellow shirt doesn't know what the answer is to the question on the board so he is side eying his friends answers.
I think the kids are in the classroom and, I think it is in a private school. The uniform shows it is a private school. I think they are using a video chat and showing places in the outside of India.

It looks like these kids are in a school, a handful of them are girls including the teacher. Only one kid as I can tell has glasses, and some of them have two fingers up. It looks like it's an old school since the desks look like they are gonna fall apart.
The children seem to be in a classroom, and I think they are looking at a bunny. I think this because a lot of the kids are making a bunny sign. Also, I would say they are learning in a classroom from like Costa Rica. I would say this since I know it is not America since the classroom doesn't seem so fortunate.

@Jason What makes you think that this is from Costa Rica, and not some other country? They are plenty of places in America that can not afford nice classroom supplies. Perhaps it could be near the US southern border, the Philipines, South America or in a myriad of other countries that have trouble with funding their education system?
@Christina You know that this America since the class isn't renovated and there is no technology at all. I guessed it would be Costa Rica since its a poorer country and they look like they aren't from the United States.
A bunch of students in school out of the United States. It looks like they're playing a game that's on the board; since, their faces are looking perplexed and confused. Along with their facial expressions some, of the kids are holding up the number two with their fingers. Maybe it's a two way teaching program that doesn't involve the legitimate teaching, of the teacher. What's strange is that there are very few girls in the class, but only some of them are wearing uniforms.

@Isha I think there's a lack of girls in the class because maybe where they live it's hard, for girls/women to get education and respect. And that they had to come a long way to get to where they are, and they see going to school as a privilege.
I think that these kids are in a classroom facetiming another class. I think this because they are giving hand signals as if they we talking to some one they are also smiling and intent with this facetime. I think they are calling another class or school.

Eng IV, 1st Block: In the picture, they're looking at a camera. I say because select few have the "bunny" fingers up and smiling. The setting is in a small classroom, possibly India.
We think that the children are at school, in their classroom. We think they are looking at a TV screen. We think they are Facetiming with another group of pupils, in another part of the world.

The reason we think they are FaceTiming or communicating with another class, is that the pupils seem very excited and engaged in what they are looking at. My pupils identify themselves with this behaviour - This is how they would react if they were communicating with pupils from another country.
The reason why we think they are communicating with pupils from another country, is that they seem to be using body language instead of speaking: They are smiling, showing the peace sign, maybe as a friendly gesture, their faces look curious.
Some of my pupils noticed the adult person sitting in the corner of the classroom, she is obviously not engaged in the communication. So we think this is a pupil controlled activity. She could be their teacher, and som of my pupils thinks she is a nurse, due to her green outfit and some of the items on her desk.

The young children seem to be students in a classroom. We believe they are on a sort of video chat because some students seem amazed and others seem to be holding up hand signs in greeting. Judging from the skin colour of the children, we believe the picture is taken in central or south America.
It is a classroom we think in Costa Rica most of the kids are looking up and making the peace sign. The interesting part is that the teacher is not engaged in the classroom. The kids are either taking a picture or are part of a Skype call.

It shows a classroom, young students. Some students are reacting differently, some are confused, some are shocked, some interested, inspired, and curious. In front of them there must be a board, projector, or screen which isn't relevant to the teacher. Some students are wearing uniforms and some are dressed normally. The school building looks old and run down. The students skin tone fits a country that is in the tropics, or in a warmer climate (e.g. south America). Some students are showing hand gestures, of a positive nature.
The students are attempting to solve some sort of problem (question) maybe?
We think this because some of them are holding up their hands, which may be an indication of them trying to give an answer. (We can see they're in a classroom and the teacher seems to be a bit away from the students; perhaps she left them to figure out a solution to the problem?)
In this picture, there is a group of kids in a classroom, and they are looking to the front of the classroom (perhaps either at a wall or at a whiteboard). We know they are in a classroom since there are desks and pencil cases scattered, and there is a teacher at the far right, however, they may be looking at another teacher, or maybe a wall/whiteboard.
They may be answering a question to perhaps a mutiple choice answer, and many of them are holding up two fingers (to say that the second question is right). However, they may be even greeting someone, holding up a peace sign.
We also noticed that only three students are wearing a uniform (a white shirt and a red tie), while the rest are wearing casual clothes. There are also posters on the back wall, and their window faces another window to perhaps another classroom.

It is a civvies day or the last day of school and some people forgot to bring money to give to charity so they still have to wear school uniform. They are probably having a FaceTime call with someone due to the fact that they are showing peace signs and they all look engaged in the class.
This classroom is in Mexico, they seem to have a video call with what we assume is another school. They are being friendly and greeting the others, with a peace sign. They look very Mexican. Some of the students look very mesmerized by this device, this may be because they aren't used to have advanced technology in school.
This picture is taken in a classroom, they are taking a picture because all of them are smiling and making peace signs. It might be a photographer, or a new computer/webcam. The school itself is older and not as rich because they all have sufficient school supplies, tables etc. It might be placed in South America, as they all look latin, and the country doesn't look like an MEDC, even though it is clearly developing. The teacher does not look interested in what her students are doing, as she is sitting in the corner and working by herself. The sight out of the windows is grey, suggesting that there might be a building next to it, resulting in a crowded neighbourhood.
These kids look like they are posing for a photo, or a video call or video. Some kids are curious about what is being shown, while some are posing for what is being shown.
This school looks like it is in a developing country as the quality of the classroom does not seem to be the best, as well as the furniture. The kids are happy and curious to be looking at what is being shown, so it seems like they are participating in an interactive activity, looking up on the wall where it is being shown.

We think that its a poor school because it looks like there are bars on the windows and the classroom is very crowded. These kids look really excited about whatever they're being shown. It looks to be in a South American country, maybe Mexico. Some students are wearing a uniform while others don't. It doesn't look to be too poor because they have school supplies and have decently kept clothes. They must be talking to someone or taking a picture because they're smiling and posing.
