The Netflix documentary "Get Me Roger Stone" is "must-watch" viewing to understand the evolution of the Republican Party over the past four decades into the dirty-tricks, fake news-spewing, fear-mongering, race-baiting party it has become. The commonality through it all, one Roger Stone. Before there was Rove, before there was Atwater, there was Stone. He not only pioneered fake news, weaponized conspiracy theory and the super-lobbyist, his greatest political creation was none other than... Donald Trump.

To get Trump elected the Russians spent really big money on hacking emails, disinformation on Facebook and social media, direct hacking everywhere they could. Office space was rented in several locations and many were hired in this effort. There is a direct link between the Trump campaign and the Russian hackers. Impeachment is not the answer. The election should be ruled invalid and redone. The American election was compromised by the sitting presidents staff and the Russians.

I know Randy Credico personally and when I heard about all this. a long time ago, I contacted Lincoln Anderson , managing editor of The Villager newspaper and suggested that he write about it. Anderson wrote an initial story and I was quoted in it about how Stone had attempted to buy marijuana from the Yippies who had a cafe at 9 Bleecker St. where Stone and Credico did live comedy together. The Yippies said no. Over the course of the last few years Anderson did a number of follow ups on it. Because of the initial story with quotes from Credico and his lawyer Martin Stolar Stone contacted Anderson. At first Credico and Stolar were friends which changed over time. I believe and a look at the Villager coverage will show that quotes from Credico, Stone and Stolar encouraged the feud between Credico and Stolar to grow because The Villager was one of , if not the first, paper to have quotes from all of them and this continued all along as the story developed into headline news. All true. YIPPIES GET STONE is my headline for this.

Oooo! There is arrows pointing this way and that! Collusion! Netflix needs to air a documentary called "the making of a conspiracy."

There is a steep, or rather a "connective arrow" missing from the Tree of Events below. Somebody(s) from Trump's campaign knew the Russians had the emails to begin with. They had to go thru WikiLeaks first before release or else the link would have been far too direct of Russian/Trump Campaign collusion. Prove me wrong. Why do you think there were hundreds of contacts between the Russians and Trump Campaign? What is it known to be; a hundred - several hundred contacts? Assange was more than happy to oblige the "public release' because the US was out to get him for other releases and had possibly framed him with the sexual assault charges. Assange doesn't care if the entire US falls because of that. And obviously Russia is just fine with us putting in a buffoon like Trump. Does half of their work for them.

I think one reason high school was not my favorite time was I didn't like sitting around and gossiping or the rotating clicks of picking on people. Sometimes I think cable news is like high school that is one reason I don't have cable TV, but because on the internet once in awhile I log on to a cable news channel site (not Fox) to see how the other half live or watch I reputable show. I remembered there was someone with a Nixon tattoo working for the Republican presidential campaign but from what I gathered regardless of the candidate I wasn't going to pay much attention to him. When Roger Stone's sole purpose is to spread lies and cheat I don't understand why the press gives him the time of day. This is an example where the press is to blame. Just because someone combs there hair, has nice clothes, is funny and talks a lot does not mean he has something worth hearing. The press played a part in 2016 on fueling people's petty feelings toward people. I wish the press would think more about substance and educating people with valuable facts than giving liars the time of day. Maybe one bright spot is these people lying on TV and tweeting it is recorded. I will leave it to the FBI to watch cable news and Twitter for the lies. I think this episode of The Daily was important it just reminded me of dark childish side of elections and we saw what happened when people channel that side and vote for the wrong person.

Tell us Roger Stone? How satisfying power is for power's sake?

What happened to the in-depth reporting by Michael Barbaro on Alexa? I really enjoyed his take on national affairs and other subjects. Thanks, E. Widener

All the information gained from all the indictments and convictions on individuals surrounding T,.....why hasn’t T been indicated yet? And will it be enough for the Senate to break party lines and make a conviction? All the conspiracy surrounding the Clintons was just that unsubstantiated conspiracy’s. Bill lied about having sex and that is that was proven. T and his partners of crime are lying about treason. They all need to go!!

...but how do you weigh testimony from a sociopathic liar?

You're putting in a lot of assumptions into this handy flowchart which makes me suspect either overeagerness to play along with a narrative or a blatant attempt at propaganda. For sure, Stone is practically a parody of a sleazy operator, but stop chomping at the bit to put all the guilt on Russia for...anything. Does the NYT really think it's in America's best interest to get bellicose with another nuclear armed power?
