I congratulate the NYTimes on its reporting. How about a transcript for those of us lacking the patience to listen to a half hour "podcast".
Marcia Loughran (New York, NY)
@dairubo Thanks for reaching out. We don't currently have transcripts for episodes of The Daily. But the team says that they're looking into the issue and hope to have a solution soon.

Trump took power because millions of Democrats were purged from the voter rolls thanks to Kris Kobach and Interstate Crosscheck. The New York Times, and the rest of the media have refused to adequately report on this, and congress is also doing nothing about it. Prepare for another four years of Donald Trump. https://www.gregpalast.com/election-stolen-heres/

The rich will always have their tax dodges. I'm much more interested in finding out about the financial ties I suspect exist between Trump and outside governments that would influence his decisions. I already know he's a liar; what I fear is that he's a traitor.

There has been much reporting that Donald Trump used the Billion Dollar loss on his Atlantic City Casino to offset income he had for the next decade. That was not his own money that was lost, that was bank loans, he was not entitled to write off those loses, yet he did anyway. Meaning, Trump bilked the American taxpayers out of $1 billion. Where is the outrage?

"55% of that will go to Uncle Sam," said the Trump kids when looking at old man Trump's money. So? So what? What is wrong with 55% of his money going to the U.S. government? Look at what package of goods and services you get for your taxes. Taxes are the cost of living/working/investing in the U.S. Please stop complaining and whining. Grow up. And pay your share.

@NotKidding In a real Meritocracy 100% of a person's wealth would be taxed and the children of the rich would have to work like everyone else for their own wealth. Of course, after a life of wealth and privilege, attending the finest schools money can buy; and, hob nobbing with the rich and powerful, I am sure they will do just fine without daddy's inheritance.

Al Capone died in prison for tax fraud. Donald Trump is not above the law. Melania deserves quality time with a nice man in her life.
Mary Ann (Washington, DC)
@A Voter You know that Melania is not a prisoner, right? She's has plenty of her own money and could leave him whenever she wants.

If you are ready to take Macron I do think the French will take with much joy and love Trump.

Taxes, what taxes? I don't have to pay any "stinking taxes". Time to wake up people. Vote 2020. .
