Can't wait for the Mueller 1-800 "thank you" hotline to be established.

It’s disgusting to see a nobody like Colbert laugh at a national hero. How disgraceful.

@Mike Livingston The idea of "national hero" is what's disgusting. We'll see who has the last laugh when your "national hero" is sitting in prison.

@Mike Livingston and who would that 'national hero' be?

I cannot imagine a world right now without Stephen Colbert. His humor is an end of day release from the stress of news. I enjoy the others, too, but he's first among equals. I crave the political humor of all but have to say, James Corden's Broadway experience definitely gives him an edge in overall entertainment.

@Kathy I concur. I have a crush on Stephen. He thinks on his feet better than anyone I have ever heard. Smartest and goodest. The very best political commentator ever. (Take that Fox and MSNBC, CNN, WP, Bloomberg, NPR, etc). I laugh, I see and I learn when I watch. Corden is a pure delight. I watch both on YouTube every morning. Lin Manuel, Emily Blunt, and James today were perfect. James can sing and dance with all of the best and shines. The Paul McCartney Carpool skit was amazing. I want to hug him. My crush is also a great song and dance man. I hate weekends and his vacations. My best to the wife and kids...May goodness bless them. Kimmel is a sweetheart too. John Oliver, Seth Myers, they are all champs. Good love em.

Corden is some of the best medicine out there. As for the late night formula that is Trump bashing. Relentless is the only tactic that will succeed in this stacked environment. I was beginning to fear the future.

Thank goodness for the late night pundits. If I couldn’t laugh at this absurdity I just might lose my mind. Bless you Colbert, Cordon, Noah, Meyers. Keep finding the humor in the slop pile of our political reality. We need the laugh.

@Jean Sims "Keep finding the humor..."? Like, say, at Auschwitz? Or Hiroshima? Politics can be funny, but let's not make heroes out of our comedians. They're just in it for the money.

This column uses Colbert's picture an inordinate amount of times. How about Colbert on Monday, Fallon on Tuesday and you get the picture.

Sorry but I'm personally getting really tired of the constant flood of anti-Trump politics on the msm and late night shows, and Colbert leads the bent pack turning me and most of my co-workers off. I had stopped watching all late night shows months ago and on a lark decided to drop in on Colbert just to see how long it would take for a cheap adolescent anti-Trump slurr to pop up. Unsurprisingly, it took 12 seconds. Click, change channels.

@Duffy45 "on a lark decided to drop in on Colbert". LOL. Khakis on fire, Duffman.

@Duffy45 Reality has a well-known liberal bias. Maybe you should focus on conservative, pro-Trump comedy? Oh that's right--it doesn't exist...

For a lot of people, including me and most of my friends, these shows are a way to deal with the uncertainty, divisiveness and let’s admit it, sometimes stupidity of the Trump administration. Parody has always had that power, and was used way before Trump came to power. And Colbert is the king of parody, creating for me the perfect cocktail with his wit, creativity, and also an army of smart writers!
