A man in a mesh tent is wearing robes whilst holding two smoke emitters? Which the color is red. This looks like it is taking place in India due to the fact that there is a picture of Ganesha? This man appears to be a monk due to the fact that he is wearing orange robes. He looks like he is either praying or praising something. I see a red fan that is plugged in which is saying to me that it is hot where ever these people are.
I believe that this is an image from a poor country. And that the net tent could potentially be the mans house. I do not believe that the child in the image is the mans just a neighbor looking for a way to cool down. I believe that it is a poor country because of the poor concrete wall behind them and because be man might be living in the tent. I think he is living there because of the random items around it. I do not think the child is the mans because the older man seems to be a monk and the cold doesn't look like he is becoming a monk himself. The child is just standing there to cool down from the fan I believe. I can also find that the clothes the boy is wearing do not match at all, the monk has something in his hands that could resemble a foot and that there are a lot of extension cords.
What I think is going on in this picture is a monk is doing his everyday rituals what his granddaughter is standing next to a fan cooling off. What makes me say this is the man is in a tent doing the rituals of his religion. Also, the granddaughter looks bored and is trying to cool off in the hot weather. What I also notice is there is lots of orange in the picture. I think it has something to do with his religion.

There is what looks like a lot of things going on in this picture. I believe what is going on in this picture is Monk protesting something and a child next to him cooling off after riding a bike. What I see that makes me believe this is that there is a Monk inside some tent, what looks like holding up tow things that he is protesting about. For the boy cooling of at the fan I believe this because it looks like he is wearing a bike helmet and is standing in front of a fan. More that I can find can include that it seems he might be living in the tent, I believe this because he has a lot of clothing and bedding in the tent. Our class is inferring the picture is of a boy and a monk. We infer that the monk is praying and the boy is standing in front of the fan to cool off from the heat wave. We also infer that it took place in India because of some of the pictures in the background.
When I first saw this on Wednesday, I guessed right when I said it was a monk, but I didn't have the slightest clue on the protest. The clappers in his hand looked like red smoke coming out of the thing he's holding. But now I know that it's a clapper that's moving to make noise. The kid turned out to be a random kid just happened to be near when the photo was taken. I don't know what the protest is about but from the brief video I saw, it looked like it had something to do with the government and its ruler. I wonder how the protest turned out. How did it end and how did it change Thailand?
At first, I thought this was another religious guy practicing Buddhism. I made that prediction because Thailand is a humongous group of religion, I thought it was more than possible of this being another religious practice. However, there were still many mysterious things to be considered. I never knew the meaning of what he is holding and even after the answer I really don't get what's the kid doing there wearing police clothes.
A lot of my corrections were somewhat correct. I predicted that the man was a Buddhist monk, but I never predicted why he was there in such a public area. Due to my limited knowledge on the going ons of Thailand, I never would have been able to predict the fact that the monk was protesting against the government. Another thing that baffles me still is the kid in the cop costume. I think it can be inferred firmly that the kid is in a costume. However why or how he is in a costume still isn't clear.

I did not notice the coat of arms on the child's shirt! That's very observant. I wonder if the water is from fasting or just because it is so hot out. The cups being outside the tent make me think that they are not for his fast. Also, when people fast, a lot of the time they don't drink water either.
We think that there is a monk meditating in an abandoned place. The monk is inside a tent, to repel the mosquitos. They seem to be in a hot and humid place because of the fan, maybe India or Thailand. The monk is holding something to kill the mosquitos. There is a little boy, and we think that he is watching the monk, and in our opinion he is poor so he uses clothes that are too big. Some of us don´t think that it is abandoned, it is a normal house in that place. Some of us think that it is a temple because of the paintings and the monk. Maybe the kid wants to be a monk. Within the choice of what I could notice, the first thing that caught my eyes where not the huge tent nor the things in the man's hands. It was the little boy's pants. With the word police on his shorts and a helmet, I could see it as a reference to the actions of two different groups of people. The one who would like to send his own ideas and love, looking at the thing in his hand that shows an item with a heart in the middle. And the other who serves the purpose of stopping something from happening.

The very first thing that I notice was the man's dress code. It looks like some kind of religion based clothing and he's holding a footprint paper which may represent the actions the religion do. We can have a guess that they are homeless since lots of the stuff which looks like their belonging and they are all over the floor. I can also see he makes street speeches since theres a microphone infront of the tent.

There is a man inside if a tent "posing" for or at least stopping got the picture being taken. It iseems to be a place of meditation and possibly his "home". In this photo I see an old man in a traditional outfit in what looks like a mosquito net tent that they have in many countries to prevent malaria. I also see religious posters possibly of buddha and a young boy standing in front of a fan wearing miscellaneous items. I also see power cords and a microphone.
I feel like leading lines are prominent in this photo do the the blue line on the tent that seems to be circling the man. Also the lines of the background and floor lead your eye to the people. There is also a lot of depth to this photo due to having so many items in the picture, a background, foreground, and midground are created easily. Framing might be used due to the tent around the man however I would consider this an experimental photo.
I think this might be some important event due to the clothing and microphone, however it is very messy which makes me think it may be some protest of some sort where they have been there for an extended period of time. What I think is that the in the picture it is set in india or buda because of how the man is dressed and the posters behind the little boy and witch i might add that he has what appear to be police things on him which is possibly from a parent of something of the sort and i think the feet the man is holding are wax feet from the little boy because of how it looks or it’s clacker things that make a clap noise and what i didn’t notice was the microphone on the ground and also it looks like the guy is posing for the picture but the little boy didn’t know it was being taken

I think that in this picture there is a buddhist monk who is protesting. There seems to be a backpack in his tent, and some electrical cords around the outside of the tent. There is also a microphone outside of his tent which i can only imagine would be for preaching his religion. On the child's pants there is the word “police”. The child might be apart of the police force or something. It looks like it could be his living space or even his home.

The old man is sitting inside a mosquito net, and we can guess that he is Buddhist based on the pictures on the wall, his clothing, and the fact that he seems to be meditating. There is also what seems to be a shrine on the floor against the wall. The boy is wearing a shirt that is too big for him, shorts that say “police,” and a helmet. Based on this, I think he is poor, but maybe him or someone in his family has access to a motorbike. The boy is standing in front of the fan, appearing to cool off. I think that because of the fan’s placement, it may have originally been directed at the old man, but the boy turned it around to take a turn. The power strip and the microphone imply that the old man might be in a public or semipublic area, and that he preaches about his beliefs. Some research shows that preaching is apparently common in the Sri Lankan Buddhist tradition.

7th grade class- The man in the picture is mediating. We think that he may be fasting and that the young child is watching as he meditates. Some students think that the young boy has taken the fan from the man in the tent.
The old person is doing a show in the streets of Asia.the tent is for not getting stinged by mosquitos a kid is watching him doing strange things
A monk is meditating and the little kid is either waiting for him and or protecting him no make sure no one disrupts him. The boy has a helmet and shorts that say police and that could be that he was giving the duty to care for the monks. Plus, he is looking over his shoulder and it seems that he is looking out for someone. There are cups on the floor which could be for the boy. The monks could be visiting and the child is watching them as a favor and I get this from the little Buddhist Shrine in the back which could be something he put there for a welcoming. There is also a mat on the floor which could be for the kid to rest there because he could get tired and his shift may be too long. There is a man in the back sleeping and that could probably be that the two monks (there may be more) and they are taking shifts to meditate and the other to sleep.

In this picture, I see a man wearing traditional orange cloths, almost like the ones that Buddha is wearing on a poster behind him. From this, you can infer that this man is a Buddhist in practice. He is holding up two signs of feet with hearts in the middle, these can hold a religious meaning to him. This mad is probably fasting, I can tell from all of the cups of water outside of his tent. Another sign that he would be fasting is because he seems very religious, from his clothing to his posters to his altar in the back of the room. I also see a child looking at him, electrical outlets, and a microphone. These things tell me that this man is in a somewhat public place where people can walk by and see him praying or he could be praying or explaining his beliefs to them.
There seems to be a Buddhist monk, judging by the style of clothing and it's color. He could be performing some kind of ritual, since he's holding "clappers", which produce a clapping noise when you shake them. He may not have the money to afford much for his practices, because the state of his home is not very good. The boy in the corner of the photo may be a relative of some kind, or someone possibly interested in the worship.

However, usually when someone meditated they have their eyes closed. So, perhaps he sitting in protest. Maybe he is not eating and only drinking water. He might be sitting in front of a government building. He is sitting on the floor. He could be in Thailand because the colour and style of his robes suggest he could be living in Thailand. He is holding what looks like an instrument that is used to make sound. It is in the shape of a foot. It also has a red heart. We can also see a microphone on the floor in front of him so perhaps he is broadcasting something.
I think that this may be a way to keep mosquitoes that may carry malaria. The mesh tent would still allow for airflow but would not allow for mosquitoes to pass through. There is a also a fan that would direct airflow away form the man in the tent. Another clue would be the fact that there is a fair amount of water and food along with some items that look like they could be for entertainment.

As well as a little girl, on the left side of the photo, you see posters similar to the ones respecting buddha. I know this because the picture have people maintaining a pose that people use to worship buddha, along with chinese symbols. Inside the tent you can see a person holding up what seems to be feet with hearts on them. They appear to be white and have a red heart on each foot. Finally, there are water bottles everywhere. This suggests that the man in the tent is fasting due to his beliefs.

I see a Buddhist monk meditating inside mosquito netting. There is a young boy outside the netting operating a fan. There are a lot of supplies inside the tent so I would imagine he plans on staying there for a while. It must be a warm season wherever he is, because of the mosquito netting and fan. This photo shows a monk sitting in a net type deal. The kid to the right is wearing a helmet, shorts, a shirt, but has no shoes this makes me believe that they are in a third world country. Behind the boy is a shrine to one of the gods depicted above. Below the child is a small mate which is most likely to be a prayer rug. Along the tent thing looks to be water, cords/plugs, a box, and a microphone.

He is holding what looks like feet pieces of paper and it has an unknown red object inside of the feet. He has his legs in what looks to be a strange version of a cross legged position. To me, his eyes also look closed. Or at least closed halfway.

In this picture, it was taken in a hot and humid environment. I know this because the people are wearing appropriate clothing for hot weather. The boy is wearing shorts and a short-sleeve top, and there is a fan next to the tent. Moreover, in this picture the man is worshiping some type of religion. I know this because of the poster in the back have pictures of Buddha. Furthermore, the man is meditating. I know this because of the way he is sitting, the way he is dressed, and the objects he is holding. In conclusion, this man is performing some type of religious ceremony outside in the heat.

I believe that the man inside the tent is a Monk and he seems to be holding feet while a child stands outside the tent cooling off in front of a fan. The man could be doing some type of street performance like a play perhaps. Based on the presence of what looks to be props and a microphone and a young child dressed in a costume of some sort, this leads me to believe the they are putting on a show for an audience possibly for goods or for the entertainment of the viewers.

I'm going to guess that this is an article on poor living situations in 3rd world countries.
I believe that this is a statue portraying an old religious activity while a young boy watches how it was done. I believe this because the "man" in the tent looks to be fake, while being accented by fake looking smoke. I believe this is a religious activity due to the strange atmosphere and conditions of the tent, such as it having multiple fans surrounding it, and it all being fairly monochromatic. This being a religious activity, the young boy examining it is most likely trying to see how this old religious activity was done, or how it is done. In this picture, there is Asian guy under a bridge and he is homeless. There is also a little kid next to him for the air conditioning. This Asian guy is probably thinking that Buddah or some other god or whatever is going to save him from this poverty. But since he is homeless he makes a little bit of money by speaking stuff on the microphone and telling people that putting on the orange robe will give you something you've always desired. In this photo to me it appears to me to be a monk maybe performing some "ritual." I say this man is a monk because of what he is wearing monks normally wore this orange in the same way he is. I say that he is doing some sort of ritual because monks have this way of life that they perform rituals.
I would assume that perhaps this monk is trying to spread awareness for a cause. Maybe they would like to share how these Buddhist monks live their lives with peace and love, and don't like to have many belongings with them.

i think that the tent the guy is mediating and they just switched off so the little boy is cooling off because it was so hot in the tent and i believe that the older man was teaching the little boy how to do it
There is a monk practicing some kind of ritual, I can tell because of the way he is dressed is traditionally worn by Buddhists. I can also see religious symbols, artifacts, and paintings around the room. There is also a child in the room who might be taking care of the monk or even learning from him.
What I think is going on in this picture is the man is doing something spiritual from how he’s holding those poles and from the way he dressed. the posters up on the wall show he’s religious and praises to those gods. It looks as though there is a Buddhist Monk is performing some kind of meditation. I feel as though its a Buddhist Monk because most of the time, they wear and surround themselves with the color orange. A monk is meditating. I see a lot of water so I can infer that he was sitting in that position for a long time and stopped to take breaks. The boy is standing near him looking in the opposite direction. The boy is waiting for the monk to tell him something or just watching him.

I think the person inside the tent is a Buddhist monk and there is a child in a police outfit. I think the monk is doing a type of meditation and the child in the police outfit is getting a breeze from the fan. In the background there are some pictures of other people meditating and some religious buildings on some of them.
Good morning WGOITP. I am rewriting this , having just lost my entry .... and will be more brief.
We think this is Buddhist Monk. we say that because we recognize the style of saffron robe from travel and TV. This takes place in the present, due to the presence of technology such as the fan and microphone plugged in to the power strip.
Some of us thought that this might be set in a hot , buggy climate. Possibly India, Africa, or in SE Asia. We say that because of the bug net tent, the fan, and the fact that they are not wearing shoes.
At first we thought that this location was in disrepair because it was abandoned, but closer examination revealed a third person sleeping. We then made the connection that the power wouldn't be off if it were abandoned, and there was a small shrine with offerings behind the Monk.
Some of my students thought that the person in the Police shorts was security protecting the monks. Others thought that it was a child of one of the monks, who heard something out of the image.
We look to see what more we can find...
And where we can find a good Q2 ... ;-)

In this picture, the child is near the fan wearing a helmet. He is unhappy. His skin color is brown, he might come from India. A monk is in the tent and he’s holding a pair of clappers with a foot shape. He’s only wearing an orange rope and an orange pant and looks like he is meditating. He is sitting on a piece of fabric. His appearance seems to be like he is 60 years old and worshipping fortune to come. The monk usually sings because there are water and microphone around. This might be a house for monk because there’s another man sleeping beside the tent.
I think there is a monk maybe meditating. or doing something spiritual with the red stuff that he is holding. it look like he spends most of his day there maybe he lives there. he also look really happy.

In this picture, there is a ritual where the man performing it is separated from everyone else. What he is doing might be very holy, or he might just be practicing for the ritual that he is going to perform later. You can tell this because the only person there is some kid, and he isn't even paying attention.

There is a monk sitting in some sort of tent with another boy to the right and he is standing in front of a fan looking at something to the right. In the background, there are posters in the background which proves that he is meditating because the posters have men sitting the same way as the guy in the tent. There is a lot of random stuff like a microphone in the foreground and junk in the background. I also noticed a medical kit in the tent.
Rules of photography that this photo follows is depth because of the foreground, midground and background, and leading lines because of the carpet on the floor in the mid ground. Also rules of thirds because of the carpet and the people on the lines of the grid.
In this picture, a man is meditating while a boy is there. They are most likely in a different country, and there is a bunch of random piles of stuff in the background and midground. Also, i think there is some kind of virus spread by mosquitoes and that's why he’s in the tent with a med-kit.

There's a Chinese monk doing a ancient ritual. He's using feet cutouts with red smoke. There's ancient ritual paintings and statues symbolizing Chinese history of peace. It's probably in 2015 and in northern Asia.

This is a religious type of thing, it's about these people's favorite color which for this guy is orange. The kid is trying to see what the guy is doing. The fan is spinning because it is warm outside therefore the man isn't wearing a lot of clothing.

In this photo there is a monk sitting in a mosquito tent with what looks like incense in each hand there is also a boy outside the tent with a shirt that's too big pants and pants that say police last but not least he has a helmet of some sort on. Behind the boy there appears to be posters and a shrine. There is also a fan the the boy is standing in front of along with some cups of water. This follows the balance rule because the boy fills the void on the right side. It also has the depth rule because you can see sasid depth behind the boy and fan. I think a man is praying he is holding things that look like feet with harts on them but I don't know what they are. I say that he is praying because he is sitting on a mat in the louts position. I can also see he is in a tent but I don't know why.
This person appears to be mediating or worshiping someone. this man is also in a tent that seems to be protecting him from mosquitoes and any other insects so he is most likely in another country like India or Africa. I think the young boy is in training to be a police officer when he grows up so he is working for the old man now before he grows up.

In today's VTS picture we think the man inside the tent is making a ritual to honor the people in the paintings on the right side of the walls. First, I see a man making a ritual because the little things he has in his hands is smoke to honor the people .
This kid's granddad is worshiping his foot god in his bug net. The boy is telling grandpa dinner is ready. Also granddad has safety glasses just in case the tent collapses.

By the looks of it there is a guy dressed up as maybe buddhism or maybe he is doing some kind of ceremony. This guy most definitely has he own “bubble” and the is a kid next to him (not in the bubble) is standing next to a fan so i'm guessing that it is very hot. What makes me say this is that there is a painting in the background that is showing buddhism. And the guy look like him or is at least dressed up as him. I think it's odd that there is i kid standing next to him but maybe he getting accepted into this religion. Also the kid is wearing police clothes and i don't quite know why.

I think that in the picture it looks like the man is sending spirits of some kind away. The boy looks like he’s afraid of something, and is looking away. They look like they may be in a foreign country.

Buddhism usually in vogue in India or Nepal, so it can be where this picture been taken. He might be fasting because there’s cups of water with straw beside the tent it means he might been there for days and there’s no food trash in the picture. There also a med-kit in the right of the tent to keep his safety. And I guess the kid is just too hot so he went for the fan.

A monk is meditating inside of a big tent with two instruments in his hand that may be used to help him concentrate. He looks homeless because it looks like there is stuff in his tent to help him survive.
In this picture, we can observe a Buddhist Monk meditating. Some details to back up this claim are the pictures behind him. They are Buddhist images. Then we can observe what is around the monk being for small animals to not interrupt him. Also, we can see the fan so ventilation is in and it shows that he does not want to be interrupted. Some other details I can observe are the multi contacts on the floor and the microphone showing that he has electricity. Also, there is an altar behind.

What do you see that makes you say this might be a religious ritual?
This is some sort of religious ritual in another country, i think this because the man in the tent is wearing an outfit that monks only wear. He's probably meditating to the sound of the clappers.
It looks like a Sherpa showing the little boy how to use on of the things where you stay in it to get used to the a precise oxygen level like the ones they used in peak a book by the youngest man on mount Everest. It also could be a place in India were it is very hot, that may be why the boy is in front of a fan. This is my two thoughts.
I feel like this is a Hindu ritual, but why is the kid wearing police shorts, why is their a microphone and why are they in an abandoned building?
I believe that this picture is showing a Buddhist man meditating in a tent that is meant for that. I know that this man is practicing some sort of Buddhist ritual because the posters on the back portray Siddhartha. I think that the tent might be used to keep anyone from distracting the man from his meditating. I think there might be more people in the room apart from them because there is a microphone on the front side of the tent, this might help the man guide a ritual to other people. There is also a fan in the room, this contributes to the fact that there might be other people in the room. The kid on the room might be waiting for the man to finish his meditating.

I think that this photo is placed somewhere in asia south east probably india because it's buddha and it is a religion and it's known buddisaim is in idan mostly and I notice a child with a helmet looking away with a fan in his body and I see a guy in a somewhat tent he looks as if he is meditating by the position he is sitting in and his hair is shaved and and it looks like it's day time because there is light coming in and there is a lot of orange looks like it's also summertime because it looks warm and they are wearing clothing that are meant for warm weather and it's outdoors he also has a microphone right in front of the tent.maybe the guy is fasting because there are water and first aid kit near the monk.

I think that the guy in the tent is meditating with the sound of the clappers. The reason I think that the guy is meditating is because the guys legs are crossed like the painting of that women. I think that the little kid is just standing in front of a fan trying to cool off. The last thing I saw was there was that the little kid probably wants to be a police officer because he is wearing a lot of police clothing, and it looks like he is wearing a badge.

Telling me his parents cannot afford clothes that would fit him. The man in the tent could either be meditating or praying/worshiping a god. The man looks like a monk that is meditating in a tent that is probably protection from mosquitoes with some kind of powder flying off of the paddles. It must be hot because the child and the man are dressed lightly, there's a couple of cups filled with water around the tent, and the child is standing in front of a fan. They are probably above ground because there's a tarp covering the top of the building, and it looks like there is some sun shining into the building.

I think he is praying because he is sitting like in a specific position maybe that is how they pray because they have different rules and probably a different religions because this is obviously in a different state. There are also hearts on the things that he is holding and maybe the stuff is like they believe will clean them of sin or maybe it's just something this one man does I don't know. The little boy is just waiting and watching what is happening because he is as clueless as I am on what's going on.

In this picture, the man, who appears to be a monk, appears to be trying to pray/meditating in a poorer place/area. The setting looks beaten down/or poorer, for there are many cracks on them, and there appears to be a tarp over the ceiling. There are many items scattered across the floor, which looks very messy, causing me to believe that they are poorer, or don't have the time or place to organize of the other items. There are also religious posters (I believe that is Buddha on the poster) are hung up on the walls, causing me to assume that this him and this place are pious. However, this does not appear to be stopping him from trying to meditate.

There is a man inside a tent with things in his hands they look like feet with a heart in the middle. it looks to be releasing some sort of gas. there are cups of water on the outside of the tent. the man looks like he is going to meditate. there are monk posters in the background and a little kid standing in front of the fan and what seems to be an altar
When first looking at the image the first thing that comes to mind is a Buddhist temple. I mean, the biggest part of this image is what appears to be a monk sitting in a tent. The weird thing is, he's golding to paper cut outs of feet that have a heart in them. This is probably some sort of religious gesture meaning something(I don't know enough about Buddhism to know.) Then you see the kid standing by a fan. He has a badge and pants that say police. Now him being a policeman doesn't make sense in the slightest yet he's wearing those clothes. So I believe he is supplying the monk with items such as the water cups next to him and the first aid kit inside.
In this picture I see an old man in a tent made of mesh. The tent could be a barrier between him and mosquitos while he sits still. In his hands are hand clappers in the shape of a foot with a hart in the middle. I can tell that they're moving due to the fact that the red part of the clapper is blurry. The little boy to the right is either wearing a biker or police helmet. The shirt that he is wearing does not fit him well and his shorts say police on them.

I believe that the man in the tent is either practicing in becoming a buddhist monk. Or he already is one he seems to be holding feet clappers inside of a mosquito net. I believe this man lives here because monks traditionally live a minimalist life. It looks like he has all the essentials that he needs. I am lead to believe that they are somewhere in Thailand because of the way both the man and the child are dressed. From what I can see I believe that they do have electricity this is because they have a fan, and a bunch of outlet cords along with a microphone laying on the ground. It also seems that this may be part of a specific culture. I can infer this because there is a man that seems to be meditating and wearing what seems to be something like silk and cloth. I believe it may be part of their culture because if you look the the upper right hand corner of the picture you can see paintings on the wall they seem to be wearing and doing the exact same thing as the man on the floor. I think the guy in the picture is the leader of some sort of Hindu or Buddhist ceremony. I think this is happening in Southeast Asia, due to the high Buddhist and Hindu population. Also due to the fact that a kid is standing in front of a fan trying to cool off.

In this picture there seems to be a man burning sage which is used for spiritual purification and a little boy who is standing beside a fan. I'm guessing the boy is either his son or grandson and comes to visit him frequently so see him do this. The man however probably lives behind a building or in an underpass of some kind becuase he doesn't seem to have the setting of a house.
The man in the picture is an Indian Monk. His citrus-orange attire and the picture in the back reveal his religion. There is a fan in the room, which would be associated with summer. This would also explain the net that the man has around himself; There are lots of mosquitoes in India, especially in the summer months. Because he is handling fire, the man can't swat the mosquitoes away.

It is obvious this guy is doing a religious practice of either Hinduism or Buddhism. The boy has the word police written on his pants, and the outfit does not look like his because of how loose it is. He is also too young to be police, maybe that is what he wants to be when he grows up.

The picture that is being presented shows a man holding clappers. There is also a kid using a motorcycle helmet and they seem to be religious as there are photos related to Hinduism on the back of the room. In my opinion, I think that the man was meditating and the tourist (the person who took the photo) asked him to hold the clappers for the picture.The meditator seems to find the request funny. The kid most probably is related to the man, as he seems to be adjusting the fan so it does not hit him directly.
In the picture there’s a buddhist man doing a ritual. First, you can see he is in a meditating position/lotus stance. Second, he is in an encapsulated area to be alone so that it is easier to concentrate. Third, he has a temple besides his tent confirming the fact that he is a believer giving him a reason to meditate. I think what is going on in this picture is that this man is performing a religious ritual. I think this because the man seems to be dressed like a Buddhist monk and he is sitting in a position that suggests meditation or prayer. I also think this because there is an altar in the back of the room. I know this man is Buddhist because there is an image of Siddhartha in the background, dressed in the same clothes he’s wearing. I can also infer that this man stays sitting there for long periods of time, meditating, because there is a net surrounding him, which is probably used to prevent him from getting bitten by mosquitoes that can infect him with malaria.
The picture shows a man in a transparent tent performing some sort of ritual. The man is dressed as a Buddhist monk and is in a position similar to one of a certain of meditation. The objects that he is holding could also pertain to this ritual, having a certain religious value to what is being done. I'm actually an international student from Thailand and we looked at this picture in our English class. I could immediately tell that this picture must've been taken in Thailand because of the appearances of the monk and the child, as well as the purple shirt that the child is wearing has the symbol of "Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn" of Thailand. Around 2008-2010 I remembered that there was a huge clash of political protests between the 'red and yellow shirts'. The yellow shirts started using 'hand clappers' to protest because their hands would get tired from clapping at rallies, so the opposing side, the red shirts, started using 'feet clappers' to make fun of the yellow shirts. In this picture, the monk, who is sitting in a mosquito-net, is shown using the red-shirt-associated feet clappers which is technically inappropriate behavior for a Buddhist monk as they are not supposed to be affiliated with any political parties. The child is probably just living at the temple, or is one of the temple-goer's child.

To be honest I am very confused on this picture. Like for one why is the little kid wearing a helmet inside a building. And second why is there a man in a bubble type thing. Also why feet why is he holding feet in his out of all things.
In this picture I see a sick man keeping himself contained so that he won’t get others sick. he holds up these feet to pray over him and to help him make it through the his sickness.
i think this person is meditating and there is a school boy kid right next to him.

In this picture, there is a Buddhist monk sitting on the ground. How I know this is because of his attire and how his head is mostly bald, like most monks. The monk is with someone, who seems to be a small child of color. I know this because at the side of the picture there is a child next to a fan. The monk must be portraying some sort of tribute to one of the elder legends in Buddhism. I know this because he has something in his hand that looks like a toy that has feet with a heart on it. And in Buddhism, there is a special legend of some sort including footprints. So in other words, a Buddist monk is with a child, but it portraying a tribute.
This is a picture of a man who is meditating. This is a belief in this country. Also, people are bowing and praising this god. It's a special holiday where once a year that you have to relax and think about the god. The kid that is in front of the fan is cooling down, so when it's his turn then he will be able to go meditate too. The kid is wearing a helmet because he was just riding his bike and was in a rush to take it off.

This takes place in a spiritual place. I know this because the way that the man is dressed. This takes place somewhere other than the United States. I know this because the way the people look and are dresses. The people in the picture are poor. I know this because they are not dresses nice and the place that is behind them is in poor condition and the way there's a lot of trash around them. All in all, this is a sacred sacrifice to life to worship a god.
It looks like the guy is meditating or worshiping a god. When I looked closely at the picture at the right hand side you can see pictures of people meditating or worshiping their god. Then I see this little boy standing next to the tent. He is standing in front of the fan because he wanted to cool down and relax.
I see two people, one a child and the other, a man in orange clothes that has strange device like objects that are projecting a foot picture with a heart shape in them. The child looks like a girl beside a fan with a green helmet on. I also noticed the man has glasses on and is in a see-through tent with microphones, cords, and other objects near him. Is he praying to a god or is he doing this for others? I believe he might be praying to some sort of god that he believes is real and must be prayed for.

I think the man is in a bubble looking thing because he don't want the disease to spread, he doesn't want toxic fumes coming out. We also saw another monk sleeping at the back of the monk inside the tent. Due to that fact that the building they’re in doesn’t look very well preserved and inhabited, the government might want to get rid of the building they’re in, and they’re camping out there as a peaceful protest to preserve the building.

The little boy is waering a large mens shirt and appears to be poor. the state of the walls behind them shows that they are in an undeveloped country. However, they have some modern technology. The monk is surrounded by a moskito net. This looks like some kind of temple in south east Asia. There is also a shrine behind the little boy. The Monk is also holding two feet with hearts on them, which might symbolize something religious.
