Nutrition is a big part of being a human. It’s all about what you eat that creates your attitude about things. I believe if you eat healthier, your attitude will be much better! I am definitely a person that loves to eat junk food like candy or fast food. But, there does come a point when I refuse to eat fast food and other junk foods. When I see something that I crave, sometimes I do just check the nutrition label on the back to see what is incorporated with this treat. It doesn’t typically change my mind wanting to buy this snack, but it just gives me a notice of what I put into my body. Eating is something I love to do and probably will always. I just keep a little note in my brain telling me to watch what I eat to help me out in the end.

I really do not pay attention to my diet at all. But I do read the labels because I want to see what is in there and what I am consuming. I don't really like to eat a chain restaurants because I like my parents home cooked food more. I don't think that main reason America is obese is because of sugar or just whats in the food. Its just the serving sizes of food are really big and contain lots of calories. All those sizes add up through out the day causing the American to get bigger and bigger in size. Society should put more importance on eating healthier because it very important especially for children to ensure a good quality of life for people. Obesity should not be a problem but it still kills a lot of people. This is what makes me want to pay more attention to what I consume.

There are some instances were my diet plays a huge factor in the choices I make. Though, I am not one of those people who checks the nutrition label prior to eating or drinking something. Since I was young, I have always been very active and involved. I care alot about my health especially because I want to further pursue my athletic career in college. As a student athlete it is very important to have a good diet, to know the best foods to eat at the given time, and to be aware of the negative effects if a body is not properly taken care of. As I have been learning more about my health and what's best for my body, I have really altered my food choices and habits. One thing I love about my family is the variety of food we eat. From fish, salad, and green beans to chicken, potatoes, and rice, we always have a well balanced meal. Along with fresh cooked dinners, my mom really emphasizes on getting organic produce, buying from local businesses, and not getting food with high corn syrup. Food is energy for the body and plays a big role in ones daily life. Without the right nutrition and protein, one could really harm their own body. Every kid loves junk food and candy, and just like any other kid, I do as well. However, I know the times when it is appropriate to devour a bag of chips in front of a movie with a soda on my right side and a king size chocolate bar on my left. I would say that my diet is pretty healthy, given the fact of what kinds of foods are out in the world.

I don't think that I pay a lot of attention to my diet. I do care about it and that is one of the reasons why I turned vegetarian, just to live a better life style I suppose but before I've never really given it much thought. I know I always want to live a better and healthier life but to have your life controlled every second of every day by what you will eat and contemplating if you're good enough just because of food is not a valid reason. Since I turned vegetarian I have had to take some pills to make up for the nutrients I have been losing but ever since I made the change I feel a lot happier with myself. Sure nutrition can have some pros and cons depending on what you eat and how much of it but do not ever let that control your life.

Nutrition has always meant something to me, especially my mom. In my house, you will not be able to find hardly anything without it being organic. My moms one of those moms who buys everything healthy, doesn’t let us eat much junk food, but to be quite honest with you I love it. If it weren't for my mom, I would have most likely been a chubby kid and still might've been. I think that many don't care enough about their health, they go out to eat all the time, get fast food because it's more convenient. That's why our nation is so obese, I think that many parents need to pay attention to what their child is eating, the ones who dont care end up having heart issues, diabetes and just living miserable and not confident. Being a student athlete has a major impact on my diet, I run a lot in my sport and being unhealthy and overweight just would not work. When i eat something I don't usually check the amount of calories, I just know right from wrong, I know what's good for me and what's not. I know my boundaries, but overall i think I eat pretty well. I think in our society many need to pay more attention to what they're eating and to what their loved ones are eating. This will only have a positive outcome, you'll feel/ look better, you'll live longer and wont have as many health problems. I hope this problem can change and will.

Basically I am completely unaware of my nutrition, just as most kids these days. I don't really pay attention to my diet and, as a matter of fact, I forgot what I had eaten for dinner last night. I eat healthy... I think. As far as I'm concerned, for my height I'm pretty fit. I weigh 164lbs, and I am six feet one inch tall. I'm mildly active, and get around pretty well. my favorite hobbies are fishing and working on cars, so I rarely stay indoors unless there's snow on the ground. I probably should care about what I eat, however my train of thought is if I get enough protein, eat enough fruits and vegetables, then I'm all good. If anything I don't eat enough at all. This is most definitely my biggest issue, because I tend to skip breakfast and lunch every day. At the end of the day I cook up a tasteful steak, some broccoli, and whatever side dish comes to mind. I've stayed healthy doing this so, I guess that's what I'll keep doing.

As an athlete I do pay attention to my diet quite a bit. I make sure to get a lot of iron especially and I eat a lot of leafy greens like spinach (btw, spinach is the single greatest vegetable on the face of the earth) the only area I mess up in is eating too much peanut butter. I only eat at Subway and I also only eat off of their “Fresh Fit Menu” if I eat anywhere else I get a salad and I only use light vinaigrette dressing or balsamic vinegar. All in all I don’t pay a whole lot of attention to food labels because I know what I’m doing at this point.

I am one of the scrawniest kids you will meet and I for one have no problem with my nutrition. All though I don't pay much attention to it I have a pretty good understanding of what foods to not eat as often. sometimes I may go on a binge of sugary sweets and I gain a couple pounds. But all in all I do not pay much attention to it, I just use common sense on the foods that I like and don't eat sugary foods often.

I always read the nutrition labels, in fact, that is the key deciding factor on whether I will be bringing that product home or buying it online. Once the product has passed my own alerts such as sugars <4gms, or sodium <70gms or calories per serving <100. I also look at what kind of fat was used to cook the product (canola oil is a red flag) and the protein content depending on the product. I prefer eating at home for most of the week as I can control the quality and freshness of ingredients on my plate, but when I do go out to eat, I am more cautious about the freshness of the ingredients. I'm happy to not have a detailed calorie or nutrition breakdown as long as the product and the ingredients are fresh and locally sourced.

After viewing the article Nutrition I think I pay attention to my diet a lot. Im pretty sure its because of my type 1 diabetes. I always have diet drinks unless my sugar is low. The thing that is annoying is that people say oh you cant have candy have diabetes but I actually can I just have to bolus. I can really eat anything I just have to bolus. In conclusion I think I pay a lot of attention to my diet.
