As someone spends a lot of time listening to music, I found this a pretty difficult question to answer. If you were referring to the most popular song released in the summer, then the "Song of the Summer" in 2018 would most likely be "In My Feelings" by Drake. After the song was released, it became an immediate hit worldwide. It's safe to say that by popularity, this song definitely takes the title of Song of the Summer. However, my own personal song of the summer is "Caramelo Duro" by Miguel. During the summer, I think that this is the song you would've found me listening to. It is a very feel-good and upbeat song. In my opinion, this song takes the crown as Song of the Summer.

"In My Feelings" by Drake was the song of the summer in my opinion because not only has it been #1 on the billboards for 4 weeks straight but it also created a worldwide dancing challenge.

In my opinion, the song of the summer was "In my feelings" by Drake. This song was so popular it was playing in every car and people even made videos doing a dance called "do the shiggy" which became viral. What they would do is on a certain part of the song they would get out of the car and get "shiggy".

SICKO MODE by Travis Scott was in my opinion song of summer 2018. There was lots of hype and excitement among the release of Astroworld, and this track featuring Drake definitely was a favorite for many this summer!

In my opinion, Drake became the king of summer 2018. Dropping his album "Scorpion" really raised his popularity to the highest. "In My Feelings" dominated the world, causing a challenged that many celebrities and others were participating in and "Nice For What" getting many plays over the summer, too, but "In My Feelings" takes the crown as song of summer 2018.

The song that I think was the anthem of the summer of 2018 was,“In My Feelings” by Drake due to the fact that his previous song “Nice For What” had paved the way hitting the emotions of its listeners. This song sparked the viral “In My Feelings” dance challenge #DoTheShiggy where people dance in the view of a open car door as the car continues to roll (helping to also push the songs popularity). Since its release people have been going crazy over the iconic line starting with,“Kiki do you love me? Are you riding? …”

Me being a music fanatic, always listening to new music the Thursday midnight it comes out, have a lot of songs that are my favorite from the summer. However, as many people would say its "In My Feelings" by Drake, I say its "SICKO MODE" by Travis Scott featuring Drake. The way both artists blend into the song perfectly with amazing production makes the song a party hit to get lit to and turn up!

I believe the song of summer 2018 is "In My Feelings" by Drake because this song sparked a worldwide dance challenge. The new dance caught the attention of many celebrities and even had people jumping out their cars to do the new dance "the Shiggy."

Nearly 24 years after it was released, Ice Cube's "It Was a Good Day" still speaks truth about the everyday lives of our generation. In the Summer all of us are searching for the perfect, carefree, and flawless day. As hard as it may be for us to achieve we can imagine and wonder, this is the song that gives hope for it. Its slow beat draws us into the lyrics and has us lost in "A Good Day". Playing it as you wake up in the morning is the perfect way to start your day. Going to work, practice, school or just preparing your self for a day of being a bum. No matter the case, "It Was a Good Day" sets the tone for what you hope to be a "Good" day.

Me and my friends were together so much this summer and we’re always jamming to music. I think the song of the summer for us was “Bang” by Trippe Red. We would listen to this song about 3 times everytime we would hangout. We would have so much laughing and dancing to it. No matter what we were doing either sitting in a room or taking our 1am Steak N Shake run we were always playing it.

The song of the summer for me would be “Hopeless Romantic” by Wiz Khalifa. I think this because this song always put me in a good mood. This song has amazing beat and it's so good. I related to this song so much this summer, and that is why I think this was the song of the summer.

The anthem of the summer is a catchy tune called "No Tears Left to Cry" and it has everyone singing along. It deserves much honor and appreciation. It means much to her and others because you feel like you have someone on your side. Plus it has a awesome music video and just shows her true talent. That's why this song and artist deserves to be the anthem of the summer.

There was an outbreak of dance moves and videos of people getting out of their car. No one knew what was happening and thought everyone was going crazy. But really, it was just people being in their "feelings." Drake had came out with a knew album and this was an underrated song, until the music video came out an was a phenomenon. Every type of person was doing the dance from eight to 80 years old. Until the anthem of the summer died as everyone got back to work, but never will our national anthem.

I think that the song of the summer was "God's Plan" by Drake. This song was played a little too much for my liking, but it has a nice rhythm to it and it promotes having a good time. It ended up being one of his most successful singles and made the charts several times this year.
Darren (Michigan)
I don't want this to be the song of the summer but it was Drake's "In My Feelings." I haven't liked Drake in a long time and this song made me not like him more. I never liked the "Keke, do you love me" song but the song will stop being played soon.

What do I think was the song of the summer? Honestly I don't think there were any songs released this summer that are good enough to hold that honor. Maybe LOCO by MgK. The song had an up beat fast pace and I feel like that represent the vibe of the summer.I'm actually kinda disappointed in music this summer.
Emily Comet (Horton)
Throughout the summer I listened to so much music with all my friends, so it is hard to choose just one. One song called "Bang", by Trippe Redd is one of my favorites. My friends and I listened to this song a lot in the car. He is such a good artist and has so many good songs. This song gets you so hyped up and it is just such a good song!

#1 was nice for what by drake. it was so overplayed it had a good rhythm bu again, overplayed. I think its pretty dull now, but I still listen to it.
Kyle Comet (Horton)
This summer had many different songs that were going up and down the top charts. But I believe that Nice For What by Drake was the song of the summer. I feel like this song was overplayed a little too much. As the summer went on I feel like this and some of his other songs became popular. This song was played all the time on the radio, televison, and even at stores. Like other popular songs, whenever I hear it this song on the radio its a little dull because its overplayed but its still a good song.

The number one song in 2018 is "In my Feelings" by Drake. I personally like this song myself but I think it's over played to much. The song had lots of videos of people getting out of their cars to do a little dance.
Ashlin Comet (Hanover-Horton )
I believe the song of the summer was Psycho by Post Malone. Post Malone let out an album a few months before summer started so many songs where popular the last few months. I like his music, my sister and I listen to it on the way to practices. Overtime I believe people have started listening to more intense and explicit music compared to happier songs in the past.

To me, the song of the summer was Girls Like you by Maroon 5. Maroon 5 is always a band that comes out with pretty good songs that people like to listen to and Girls Like You is one of them. With Cardi B having a part in the song it makes people want to listen to it even more because she has become very popular 2017-2018. I hear Girls Like You on the radio like 20mtimes per day and that is why I think Girls Like You is the 2018 song of the summer.
Katelyn Comet (Hanover Horton )
Katelyn File I think the song that got played was ”In My Feelings” by Drank. That song got so popular and everyone was doing the dance outside a car. It was always on the radio on repeat. It got really annoying after a while but a lot of people seemed to like it.
Abby Comet (Horton)
There were many popular songs of the summer. But one that really stood out for me was "In My Feelings" by Drake. There was even this summer challenge where people got out of their cars, while they were slowly driving, to dance to this song. Whenever my friends and I got together we would always listen to the song and my sister even got out of the car once to do the challenge.
jenna comet (hanover horton high)
The song of the summer was “In my Feelings” by Drake. His song was made into a challenge where people had to get out of a car and dance to the song. This song deserves honor because it was a song that went worldwide. It’s a catchy song and easy to dance to. This song had people worldwide dancing to it.
Maxwell Comets (Hanover)
In my opinion, the song of the summer is Freestyle, by Lil Baby. This song deserves to be the song of the summer because it is very popular and everyone likes it. Lil Baby is an artist that blew up in 2018, making many good songs. Most of his songs are respected, but Freestyle is my favorite.

My personal song of the summer was Powerglide by Rae Sremmurd. When I listen to this song I immediately get reminded of the drives to detroit I did and all of the times I hung out with my friends this summer because this is the song we would listen to. I also went to a Rae Sremmurd concert this summer and had a really fun time so I think that also plays a big part in why this is my song of the summer.

Summer was supposed to be the best summer ever and the thing to make it the best is good music. This summer people everywhere were turning up Drake’s song “ In my feelings” and having a good time. Coming with the catchy song came a challenge where people would get out of their cars and dance. Pretty soon people from everywhere were challenging themselves and their friends to do the challenge and social media was blowing up with videos of the challenge. Even myself had participated in the challenge and even though I failed epic ally at it, it was still fun!

The song I loved was not played on the radio, as it shouldn't have been. This song was only for the singers fan. After being on hiatus for two years, Twenty One Pilots came back with four new songs so far, and I don't actually know which one to choose. (They are all amazing, in my opinion) But I just went with the one I listened to last. It's called "My Blood", and it is different, but I love it. It's about how he will always support and help his fans in anyway possible. I love it. Summer is almost over, so it's becoming the song of fall for me, unless they release another one soon.
Richard Comet (Hanover, Michigan)
My favorite song of the summer was In My Feelings by Drake. I liked most of his new songs on his album scorpion but in my feelings stood out the most and I really liked it. I also like watching people getting out of there cars and falling over while doing the dance.
