So Mr. Cenac was for a time the only Writer of Color on The Daily Show and in turn there is only ONE Woman of Color on his writing staff?

I'm looking forward to this show. Interesting that the format as explained in this article seems reminiscent of W. Kamau Bell's wonderful "United Shades of America."

I do hope he tries to be funny, but I wonder if that requires having an opinion/POV rather than neutral questioning? Anyone who was part of King of the Hill should have funny insights into suburbia.

I love this idea. John Oliver showed that audiences appreciate a deep dive on issues that they may not know much about. I'm excited to see a full season deep dive on an incredibly relevant issue that people may not have personal experience with but want exposure to new stories to understand what everyone is going through. Very exciting.

I really liked Wyatt Cenac on the Daily Show so I am likely to check out his new show. I look forward to hearing his perspective....

The first rule of comedy: Make me laugh. I don't care if you are PC or not but if you don't make me laugh, sorry I will stop watching. On the other hand I watch plenty of programs which are serious and talk a lot about problems in our society. You can try to be one more, but beware, just like comedy, the competition for our time is brutal and ruthless. Having said that, I wish Wyatt all the best on his new venture. I will give it a watch!

I am constantly hearing about police reform, but nothing about anyone else's need to reform. Other people, other races do not seem to have such a problem with the police. Like what if MLK Boul. meant it was the best part of town? But really, why not some other reforms, if for no other reason than to make it more interesting, perhaps, even funny?

Gee, you missed all the news about reform of gun background checks, teacher pay, college loans, voting rights, taxes, sexual harassment, health care, and I'll spare everyone reading more. You must be reading your first NYT in, oh, say 10 years.

You are woefully uneducated about systemic racism. Google it.
