i thank this man works in the zoo and is just in this cage to be funny or to watch the animal on the other side.
Here we have a rare sight of some homeless man who might be on drugs (Meth probably) chilling in his tiny glass box. Obviously he likes the attention he gets from sitting in there so he stripped for the kiddies who are taking in the sights for some reason. I don't know why he chose the box he did but I guess it's to attract attention. The kids look to be on a field trip because some of them have lunch bags but I have no idea why they would come to stare at him. As you can see, he enjoys reading about bugs hence the reason why he has the magazine with a red and black bug on it.

I think that this photo portrays a man in a box that has cut himself from society. Maybe for a exhibit in a zoo. If this is in a zoo it may trying to show the human in the box how exposed the animals feel when they are at a zoo. The children in the zoo look to be on a field trip to look at maybe one of many exhibits in this zoo of humans. I believe they are on a field trip because on the chaperones and the lunchboxes the kids are holding. In conclusion, my opinion is that this person is trying to illustrate how it feels to be a zoo animal.

I think It is really weird because the kids are just stareing through the window. They might be standing by the window because maybe that guy is famous for something. They are proably wonderng why is that couch so small and why is that room so small.
This man looks like he as isolated himself from society, I mean I dont blame him. The students/children look like they are doing a study about whether the man could live there for a certain amount of years. The man looks extremely happy to be living in this box, but I dont know if anybody knows exactly why he would isolate himself, in a box in the middle of what looks like his yard. I cant determine whats on the other side of the camera, but its unhumane to live in a box with no bathroom or any personal hygiene products. This in my opinion is gross.
My thoughts, well um there is a man in a box, around the box is little kids.The man inside the box is smiling and enjoying himself in his own tiny home in the middle of a park.This man might of had a dream in life about this.The man was dignosed with a servure kideny cancer and it was to late he had 2 weeks to live. he decided to live up to his life long goal. So he got this custom little house an lived his end of his like in a quiblcle
What I believe is happening in this photo is clear just a man enoying attention from all the children and lady. Telling by the loctaion I can assume that the children where either taking a field trp or just trying to get somewhere and spots this probably glass house. The man that was inside was just being friendly, and smiled at the kids. I beleive this was meant to cause no harm or offend anybody. The kids just walked upon him at the wrong time. Children are viewing a man or celebrity behind glass windows. I believe this is supposed to represent how an animal feels in a zoo. The person might believe he is an animal. The person may think that he belongs at the zoo. He is happy to see people who want to observe him. He may need mental help.
During our VTS session, Luisa said that she thought the man might be a celebrity and that is why everyone has come to look at him.
I think the children are elementary school students on a field trip learning about observation and also how animals feel.

In the picture I saw that there was a human in the window instead of an animal, this was kind of weird to me so I looked harder, it turns out that there were many kids looking I so it must be a prank. I say this because the person is about the right age to pull a prank, and they have their shirt off. I can also find that they have like a living room set up in the window, this makes me believe it is a contemporary art piece.

He looks like he's used to people staring at him. he lives in an exhibit where people can come look at him and see the way he lives. In this picture, a human is being used as an exhibit in a zoo instead of an animal. The exhibits in the background and the young children that are most likely on a field trip (you can see their lunchboxes and their chaperones) that are crowding around the caged man make it apparent that this man is in a zoo. Beyond this, you can also see the pictures on the walls inside the man's cage represent other exhibits of animals. I think this picture is supposed to represent the unnatural and overly exploited lives of animals that abide in zoos.

There are many things that are occurring in this very interesting photograph. The very first thing that i notice is a man sitting on a small couch with a green blanket and pillow, the man also has his shirt off which is also very interesting. This brings me to believe that he just woke up from nap. The second thing I notice is that the man is in a box. You would think that he wouldnt enjoy the box, but the smile on his face clearly states that the man is enjoying the box. The third, and possibly the most fascinating part of the picture is the fact that there are children gazing at him, like he is some animal in an exibit. With all of these observations, I believe that the man is pretending like he is a zoo animal for the enjoyment of the children. The children are enjoying it because they have never seen a man in a cage before. This most likely means that the man is in a zoo. I can tell that he is in a zoo because of the railing in the distance. I may be incorrect, it could be a park or something, but the most likely and probable answer is a zoo. The reason that all the children are together is most likely because they may be on a school fieldtrip. This also proves my zoo theory correct because why would the children go on a field trip to just a regular old park? I also find it odd that most of the children are wearing winter coats when it looks like it is very warm outside. Overall this photo is very strange, I would like to figure out the true story of this strange photo.
To me this looks like a regular zoo but in one exhibit there is person likely from a different culture or different country displaying life in that country and just average things they do. These kids are interested because it is much different than what they have ever seen.

LA3 Mods 22-24 We see a man behind glass. Kids and a tour guide are looking at the man through a two-way mirror as if he was a animal. This could possibly be a Wax Museum, too. The kids look very young and we know this because there is a Thomas the Train lunchbox showing and the kids are in costume. It may be Halloween because a girl in front is wearing a vampire costume. We are not sure why the man has his shirt off, but he is smiling and happy. Could he be the zookeeper?
LA3 Mods 19-21: I see a man in the picture shirtless with kids watching him through a glass window. He is drinking coffee, so I am assuming that it is morning. Although he is behind the glass, he is still outside because we can see the grass underneath him. The kids seem to be happy by the expressions on their faces. The kids are with an adult, maybe a mom, who seems happy, too. I think it might be cold because the kids are wearing coats. Some of the kids might like "Thomas the Train" or "The Simpsons" because of their lunchboxes. This might be an exhibit, and the guy might be doing this because he is broke and he needs money.

I think that we are trying to portray how animal-like humans are metaphorically. Think about it, most people just want clothes, money, fame, etc.. We will do anything to grab at what we want, and just like animals, they will do anything to get their food. We are portraying how crazy humans have gotten by putting one in a human zoo, and having children look at what they will soon become as they grow up. The teacher is there because they are being educated about it. The man also has his shirt off, which represents that he is an animal. On the other side of the glass, there is open grass, which represents the world. The world is his play space of fame, money, and fortune.

As far as I understand, he lives just like he would live in his usual life trying to show as much as he really is. For example, scattered things created a cosiness with the help of hanging pictures of magazines flowers mug with tea and much more. Why did I do not understand. How much to pay for such a job?

We think that the POTW is that a bunch of kids that are on field trip with the adult being their instructor. They are looking at an exhibit that was made by a random guy who doesn't even work at the zoo, he just came in and set up their own exhibit. His exhibit represents how far man kind has came and how far humans have evolved. It show cases a very tiny house that has art inside and it shows what the future can be.
I think that the children are on a field trip with their teacher and they were going to eat lunch since they are carrying their lunch bags with them and while they were going to sit down somewhere in the zoo they saw a man living in the green house, I think that room is a greenhouse because it is surrounded in glass to trap the heat, and there is grass on the floor.

There is a guy (it's not a model or wax figure, because if it does so then it should have melted because of sunlight coming through the glass walls) who is in an exhibit, and there are kids on a field trip (because a lot of kids with an adult) who is looking at him surprisingly.

The glass room appears to be some sort of living space. We came to this conclusion based on the following facts. The room is furnished as though it might belong in an actual house, there are habitats in the background that are accompanied by information plaques, the children appear to be school aged and are accompanied by a single adult.
I guess, it's a kind of installation in a Zoo. In the background I see some enclosures and notices on them. Probably it's a part of the Zoo where one can observe monkeys. A man in a glass "container" might represent evolution from an anthropoid ape to a human being and probably shows how our needs are different from animals' ones and what a human being can achieve in his life developing his skills. Probably the teacher's role is to show the kids and explain them that people might achieve success in life thanks to hard work.

I think that this man is in a zoo. This class and teacher are trying to study how humans live, or they might be studying how humans adapt to a lifestyle. I think this because I see that there is a setting of a living room and all the comforts of living a regular life, except that he's in a zoo or some kind of museum in some kind of small glass box and there are kids observing him. I wonder what it's like being observed by others if we were inside a glass box.

I think the organisers deliberately choose to remove the man’s shirt. This illustrates the comfort the man feels in his box very well. The thought of the exhibit is probably to show a human in their true habitat, at home on the couch that is. The box itself could be used as a metaphor for home.

Whats going on in my opinion of the picture is, a famous man is being watched by some of his fans. I think this because he seems to be happy while the people on the outside of the glass seems surprised, happy, and amazed in a type of way. I personally think he is an artist of some sort, and expressing the life of the average human on the weekend or in summer, showing relaxation, comfort, and contentedness. The scene all together gives the tone of a mid-summer day, the sun hotter than a pepper, the beams of the sun shining through the open curtain window, and nice taste of a cool drink to top it off.Meanwhile, the children who are located on the right of the picture behind the glass seems to be a small class of children who seem to be observing his movements as they look into the transparent room of some sort. I see what could be an educationist/Teacher, so this could be an early summer day when school is still on or a late spring day. I believe this could be in a museum or educational facility because I see a placard of public display, something you would see in a museum.This could be somewhere in the U.S.A because, I see Thomas the tank engine and Bart Simpson, which are both cartoon characters who were created in the United States.I also think this could be in the United States because Each child could be a different race and religion, there isn't the same race all behind the glass at once, and more of a mix of many races.And the inside of the case looks like a home.

I think this is a zoo due to the fact that all the way to the right of the picture there are trees and little portraits of writings probably describing animals and their features. In this picture, there are about 17 children to the right of the picture all peering through the glass and a women behind them most likely the teacher. We think that it is an exhibit at a zoo (there are information boards behind, with a man and a child looking over the fence). The experiment is to provoke thought about what it is like to be a zoo animal. Here, we see the man, relaxed in a naturalistic habitat (tea, plant, pictures, rug, chair etc). The children are with their teacher looking at the animals and they come across this exhibit. Maybe they can now imagine themselves in a zoo. Would they like it? Are all of his needs catered for?
In a comment on zoos (maybe even at an actual zoo) a male homo sapiens is being displayed in an approximation of his natural habitat. I see animal pictures on the walls and a nature magazine on the table, which I see as clues that zoo/museum personnel decorated the room. Several questions could be raised about the choice of a subject who is young, fit, and handsome. Not that I am complaining.
I'm going to look at it from a different perspective' (though I know this is wrong since it is only 2018 right now).
These kids and presumeably their teacher (because there is no way a mother has 30 kids of the same age, though that would be rather impressive) are visiting an outdoor museum exhibit showcasing their ancestor, the homo sapien; the human being of our current time. Therefore, I can conclude this takes place in the distant future (maybe 3018, provided we survive as a species until then). Since the man is not minding the children looking in on him, I can conclude that this was inteded, as though this was an exhibit. The interior looks similar to a house with the décor, and the not-perfectly-organizedness of it. Maybe the purpose is to study what life was like back in 2018.
Another theory I had is that this is a metaphor for how public our lives really are. With all that social media displays of us these days, it can be as though people are living our lives with us, since they are so (sometimes overly so) updated on our every action. Since the man, in his shirtless, lounging state, seems to be relaxing while everyone is watching, this seems to convey that, with all we post every day, we might as well have all our followers (who can sometimes amount to be complete strangers if our privacy level settings are set to "public," as I presume the people outside are to the man inside the enclosure are) watching our every action.

It appears to be a man who set up a "living room" outside somewhere. These children are curious about what he is doing. To me I think this is very creepy. The reason why I think this is he did this for entertainment.
The kids came across a glass house and went up to it. Looking through the glass they saw this guy living there. All of these people who is at glass is on a field trip. The plague has taken so many. The world frozen never to move again. This exhibit at the nature center shows us how quickly it can get us. One moment were perfectly fine reading a magazine, the next you are frozen in time. Of course this isn't a real victim, we all knew that. Yet still we watched in amazement. We were very happy to know that the illness hasn't taken us. Some weren't as lucky as me though. Others couldn't watch, it was just to painful. Reminders of their family and friends layed all around. Even though we were the last survivors were we lucky? Even with all our losses.

The exhibits in the background of this picture all appear to be normal all but this one. Judging by the railing there is a high probability of this being a zoo. When most children get asked the question what is the deadliest animal on Earth most kids would typically answer with a lion or a tiger maybe even a great white shark. This exhibit may be here to show the kids that us humans are the animals who take the most life and destroy the most habitats. This cage could be here to show that we humans are dangerous animals. The only difference being that the other animals in this zoo don't choose to be here.

There is a class of children and a teacher at the zoo. You can see that it's the zoo because of the background. The meaning behind the image is to show how animals are kept into places they shouldn't be in and used as entertainment.

Judging by the joyful expression on the man's face, it seems as if he is enjoying himself, which leads me to believe that he is not inside of the cage as some sort of punishment. The items inside of the cage, such as a couch and a coat hanger, suggest normal living habits. Perhaps, the children outside of the cage are observing the man's living habits for an experiment. It's almost like a "human zoo".
We think it is a presentation for a zoo. The way the room is set up, it looks like it is decorated to look a certain way to look like eye-candy or for the presentation. The man looks extremely happy. We noticed that there were railings and signs for people to read outside of the house that makes it appear to be a zoo.
I think this is a museum and it is a human exhibit. The children watching the guy are students and we can see that because of their backpacks and their teacher right behind them.
It looks like some art exhibit and the man is a part of the art. I think this because of the clothes on the hanger and the fact that its close off. It also looks like there are children on a field trip looking at the exhibit. This looks like the US or Europe because there is a group of diverse people.

A 1st grade class visits a zoo in New Orleans and while they're exploring around they see a exhibit with a man inside of it. It represents the man wanting to be in nature. Other words human nature is them being at home relaxing, being lazy. I see the kids on the glass looking at this man with excitement and the background looks like they're in a zoo. Other things I can see is that the sofa with the table and coffee represents the human habitat.
I think this image is trying to show what is feels like to be an animal in the zoo. in the image you can see that this box has different items in it to make the man feel at home, which is equivalent to putting trees and bushes, etc in cages of the different animals to make them feel like they are in their natural home. This image also shows that the man is in the clear box and has no privacy, and all the little children are staring at him with no shirt on, this is trying to portray that animals in the zoo have no privacy and having all these children and their parents screaming and taking pictures makes the animals nervous.

I agree with a lot of comments and observation made, but I agree with this claim the most because I agree that this man is demonstrating how many zoo animals feel. Behind the students, in the background, I can see that there are railing and trees and bushes. This leads me to believe that this photo does take place in a zoo and that this man is just another exhibit. In addition to that, I believe this photo has been taken recently because I know that there have been many movements and protest against keeping animals in zoos. With my knowledge of the setting and current events, I believe the man's purpose was to show it feels and see how it feels to be a zoo caged animal.

But mainly i believe it is an experiment to better understand an animals emotions in a zoo. i think this because the man is in a glass box with kids watching him just like what you would do at a zoo.

I think that this man is a scientist. He is doing an experiment to try to relate to how a zoo animal must feel. There are multiple people peering in through the glass walls. He is locked up in a cage it seems that tries to be a home for him. He has his phone, a coffee cup,a couch and a table yet his floor is fake grass. They have provided the man everything he needs to survive and make it as comfortable as possible but still take his freedom and privacy.

However, you pointed out that they made this habitat as comfortable as they could for this man, yet many times zoos do not make the animals' habitats as comfortable as they can. They provide the animals with what they need to live, not extra luxuries, such as the phone is to this man.

I believe that this picture represents performance art because the man is in a space where they cant touch him and the space that hes in seems confined. I think that whats going on in this picture is that the man wanted to see what it is like to be an animal in a zoo. In the zoo, when people see an animal, a bunch of people gathers around them, and a lot of people are gathered around the 'house'. This was happening during the daytime when people usually go to zoos and there were a lot of children looking at the man like there are usually a lot of children looking at animals.
I think that in this picture the man is try to show people how animals are left in cages. But this man changed places with the animal to how what it would be like if human were living like that. This is happening in 2018. This looks like it maybe happing in the Zoo and wildlife place.

In this picture their is a man that is locked in a cage. This might be in the middle of the day, in the zoo. Many people are looking at the man who is in the cage. I think that they did this because they can show how animals feel. Animals are in a cage just like in the one that he's in. If they can get the people to see how it is to be locked in cage then they might not to it to animals because they can see that they don't like it so the animals don't like it.
I feel like this man is looked up in a "cage" just like animals in a zoo are because he wants to show other people how animals feel when they are in a cage with nowhere to go. Living in a small space just to entertain them.
I disagree with this because some people believe that animals in a zoo feel caged in and unhappy. I agree with this. The man looks to be in a cage with the surroundings looking to be a zoo. He is probably trying to show or understand what animals in zoo's go through on a daily basis. He has a very small place to be living in. But that could be for many reasons, one being they are not gonna build him a HUGE enclosure in the middle of the park and two being he is trying to show how much space one animal has in the zoo enclosure in total.

What's going on in this picture is a man, it's like he is someone famous and the kids are his fans. What makes me say this is because he is in his apartment/ house he made out in nature. Little kids are on the outside surrounding the place with a surprising shock on their faces. He has his clothes in there, his own couch, phone, flowers, pictures, and coffee cup.

In this picture, a group of kids is visiting a zoo. I think this is a type of human zoo, as an experiment to show people how animals suffer when they are captive, as it is weird to see a person captive like this. In the right side of the picture, we can see signs similar to those found in a zoo, which make me support my opinion. We can also see that the kids look amazed at the man, as they would an exotic animal.
I think the man in this picture is a comedian trying to entertain the kids on the outside of the glass enclosure. I think he is entertaining them because the kids seem to be smiling and having a good time. I see that he has items that would be placed in a home such as the coffee table, a coat rack, an umbrella, and paintings on the wall. I think this enclosure might've been portrayed as his home as part of the comedians joke.

I think this takes place at a zoo. The surroundings kind of give the vibe of being at the zoo. They might be taking pictures or experimenting something out of the normal. Nobody has ever seen a human inside a zoo exhibit so they might be trying something new.

There is a man who has setup an exhibit about a man and what it looks like to live for him. I think the man wants the kids to see how anything can be art. In this case, he is the art along with the setup living room. There are lots of kids looking at him, and I believe that he is an exhibit at a zoo or something. It probably has lots of different art. I think the man is showing who he is with the way he sets up the scene. He makes it look like a living room and he has some pictures of animals, so i think the man loves animals.
