Our Journalists Share Their Most Memorable Interviews of 2017

This is this is why I subscribe and read the NYT. It really does matter.

These interviews are wonderful examples of why the NYT is such a treat. Each of these folks showed intelligence with a whole lot of humanity and RESPECT for the people they were interviewing. A thousand thanks to these reporters and to the NYT for the job they do!

eliezer rabinovici is as likely to see string theory confirmed as he is to see arab-israeli peace. that is to say: not at all likely.

We need more people with sentiments like those of Eliezer Rabinovici. PEACE.

"And when we were done, I knew that what she had given me was her story — a precious gift — and now it was up to me to handle it with care." This is the attitude we need in journalism, today more than ever. The piece on the secret mass grave was gripping by the way. Thank you for these wonderful background anecdotes.

Only 10 people were asked?!? Man, I feel cheated out of hidden goodies. I know there's more and I hope you guys share them.

How lovely that even in discussing their choice for a special interview in 2017, these journalists still focused on the people they ed and who entranced them. I have always felt that true journalists are generous and selfless in an eloquent way.

Bravo to these correspondents, for their sensitivity to the human qualities of their subjects. Sometimes the backstory is more meaningful than the headlined news.

Wonderful stories, as I have said before, we need more of this.
