My favorite recreational sport is tennis. There's just something satisfying about being able to be on a team, even when you're not a very athletic person. Tennis is the perfect sport that anyone can play with a little effort and practice put towards it. Tennis is quite an easy to pick up sport, as you really just need to perfect the basics, including serving, backhand, forehand, etc. Once you know the basics, you can keep practicing and move through the ranks of the team (at my school, we have Junior Varsity Tennis and Varsity Tennis, and if you practice over the summer, you can go from JV to Varsity). Playing tennis and being on the tennis team also allowed me to make a lot of friends amongst a diverse bunch. All in all, tennis allowed me to have fun and be and make new friends, all the while being competitive and honing my skills.

Sports are my life and I absolutely love doing them! My favorite recreational sport is swimming. I've been swimming since I was seven, and it is still so fun for me. I love swimming because it clears my mind and puts me in a good mood. I also love swimming because I like to see all my hard work pay off. Another recreational sport that I like to do is surf. Surfing is so fun and very thrilling.

Many kids my age prefer to play a more traditional sport like volleyball, soccer, basketball, or football but I feel live in the outdoors. Going outside is my recreational sport. I love snowboarding and surfing so when I saw this prompt I was totally stoked. I don't know if I would have liked to be in the sun on a sandboard in “one hundred fifty degree weather” but I would totally be down to try it. It also seemed appealing when Simon Russell said that “there are no lift tickets, lines, no trails and no trees to avoid.” and if you have gone snowboarding you know exactly what he is talking about. All in all I am sure you still get the feeling of freedom when you ride that board on water, sand, snow, and even concrete. It is a feeling that you cannot explain and that moment when you feel alive and one with nature.

My favorite recreational sport is volleyball! Volleyball is a very challenging sport in ways such as stratagey, mental ability, persistence, dedication, and teamwork. Teamwork is definitely the most important because you cannot play volleyball with only one person! Volleyball requires teamwork, a team has to strategize so many aspects about any move they make. Mental ability is very important because if you mess up and get down on yourself it most often brings your team down to, so it is very important to always be encouraging to all of your teammates so you could play to your best ability. Persistence goes along with mental ability just never give up no matter how hard it can be. Dedication lastly is most important to your team, even if you have other things to do if you show up to practice and give it your best that shows your dedication.

My favorite recreational sport is wrestling. I love to wrestle because it is a one man sport and the only person I have to rely on is myself. I have been wrestling since I was 11 years old; wrestling is what I love.

My favorite recreational activity is lacrosse. I prefer a recreational activity where I get to go outside and play against others. I love to play lacrosse because it's taught me a lot as an athlete and as a person. It's also super competitive which makes it super fun, especially when we win. Lacrosse has not only been super fun for me, but I've also gained a lot of opportunities and met a lot of new people that I wouldn't have ever met if it wasn't for lacrosse. Overall, lacrosse is part of who I am, making it my favorite recreational sport.

My favorite recreational activity is golf. Golf is much more than a game, and it can help you with life skills later on. Golf is my favorite sport as you can get outside on a beautiful golf course that is out in nature, quiet and non-contact. Golf is also a great sport as it builds trust and honesty while playing others. Sometimes when life gets hectic its always great to get out on the golf course or the driving range and hit a few golf balls, as it is relaxing, and fun at the same time. Golfers are also very mature, and proper, and the clothing is very high end. This reflects golfing values, as being a very mature and proper sport. In conclusion golf is a great sport that not only is fun to play, but also includes values and characteristics that are important in life.

Recreational activities are a very fun way to kill free time and meet new people and build relationships. Personally in the spring and fall I play baseball and i get to meet a lot of different people from different teams and new people on the new team i joined this spring and fall. During the winter I like to go to different mountain and snowboard everyplace I can that is local and I meet a lot more people in the winter than over the spring and fall. Sandboarding is something different and I don't see it a lot but if I ever have the chance to do it I absolutely will try it and I might nail it and do really good fast because I have been snowboarding and skiing since I was 4 years old.

A few recreational sports I like are biking, skiing, running, and kayaking. What I enjoy about them is they get you in shape and get your heart racing and pumping.

At my school, there are many opportunities to join a sport. Actually, it is highly recommended to go outside and get some sun, hit the mats or pool, or cheer for the football team. My favorite recreational sport is cross country and crew. Being on the cross country team shows how a team can be your family. Your speed nor your time matters to others. Its a fantastic sport to do with your friends, to make new friends, and to go through an experience different from no other sport. In cross country, we all root for each other. In addition, it is a great way to stay in shape, or get in shape, and helps you achieve your goals of becoming a runner, or becoming a better one. If you do not know, Crew is a school sport in which teams compete in boat rowing against one another. This is also a fantastic sport in which your team becomes your family. During practices, we build upper body strength, core strength, and cardio. From how it sounds, you will be able to tell that the workouts are not easy. Through the conditioning, big and small, you push one another, similar to cross country. In between the sweat and exhaustion, you have fun encouraging each other to finish strong and in doing your best. This is why I favor these sports. Cross country and crew are team sports that absolutely recommend. If your school or area offers these sports, take advantage and join!
