In America i think that men have it a lot better than women in the job force, with respect, and iv'e even payed attention to the fact that their clothes are cheaper. I honestly in my opinion think that one of the reasons that Hillary Clinton did't become president was because, she is a woman and people (America) don't think she can hold power. I think that women can do the same exact thing that men can do. We can work the same jobs and hold just as much power as the next man can. I have came across several women that hold the bigger power in many businesses and corporations. Who wouldn't want to be the boss of their own business and tell other people what to do. I love telling people what to do and i'm not even a boss (yet). Some people could disagree with me and probably will about the fact that men and women aren't equal, but since the beginning of time it has been that way. Women at one point didn't even have the right to vote, at one point black and white were separated and it didn't even matter whether you were man or woman. we've come a long way in terms of rights and what people can and can't do. I don't think that anything now a days should be determined by man or woman. I'm not saying that women don't have any rights at all because, there are things that men, and women can do together or separately but, yet independently, I still think that women and men rights are not equal. That is my position and I will stand by that position till the day things change.

To say which gender has it easier, is the same as calling a grey coat white or black. As women's opportunities become more vast, male opportunities must become more limited. It is the way balance is found, one must gain the other must lose in order for it to be found, but this is the concept many overlook when discussing gender equality. Today more women can hold higher positions, and if more women are taking those positions there are less positions for the men to take. The data in the graph is right in the way it depicts liberal minded people seeing the progression of women's rights as having a more positive affect on all, including men. Conservatives see the progression of women's rights in a more negative light as they are focused on the loss instead of the gain, when in actuality what we need to focus on is the balance we are striving to achieve.

I believe that men and women in the United States are equal. This has been an ongoing debate, but I believe that the real debate is over equity. Everyone is given education and the opportunity to become successful. However, equity is not present. If everyone, was given equity, then there would be no divisions between those who have worked hard to achieve greatness and those who are piggy-backing off of the success of others. I think that women and men are both discriminated in their own ways. Some women generalize all men as rapists and some men generalize all women as objects. You can’t base the values of a society off of a few outliers. This is is the same with race. You cannot call everyone in America discriminatory against races if not everyone is a racist. For gender, there is no difficulty for life given at birth. Everything is relative, and for that reason, I do believe men and women are equal.

I believe that men do have it easier than women doing things in their everyday lives. For one, if you look at certain careers in most situation you will find that men are a lot more favored than women. For instance, when you think of the medical field, you automatically assume that men are doctors and women are nurses. This is because 74% of doctors are male (26% female), while 91% of nurses tend to be female (9% male). If you wonder why these statistics are true, it’s because society predetermines these roles for men and women. The men are held over the women, as they get the higher position. This is all while the women are supposed to “assist” the men as they perform the more difficult tasks. Not only that but along with that higher position, men also hold a salary advantage over women as well. Statistics prove that although they have the same obligations and perform the same duties, women doctors are paid around $20,000 less than male doctors. Why is this? Just because someone is a male, shouldn’t give them advantages over the opposite gender. This shows just one of the few ways men have it easier than most women in the United States.

In my opinion, men do have it easier than women. Women are burdened with a great deal of responsibilities in her life. No matter what, every girl is going to be judged in their life. Whether it is the way she feels, acts, works or takes care of things, the fear of acceptance is a major problem in a girl's life. Her acceptance or approval is decided by the critical world. Men are not judged the way a women is. They have always been able to vote, run for office, and own property. Although gender equality is becoming more equal in the past, men have had all the rights. Women have traditionally been treated like second class citizens and it will take years for the effects to go away.

In my opinion, men have it easier in today's society. This is because for so many centuries, men have been the dominant gender. With this, it is hard for people to break out of molds that have been normal for generations upon generations. In most the world, women have to work te times harder to achieve a portion of what men are able to get. I am not saying that all men have things handed to them in life, but I am saying history has a constant favoring towards the male population. Women not only have to fight for the equality amongst everyone, but to escape from the everyday stereotypes that are placed upon them. And the worst is that most don't notice it. When you look at the data, you see a significant amount of people that have said that there is no difference. Even with all the campaigns and information about gender inequality, it still doesn't register with some people that this is a real issue. Before catching themselves, one might see a female construction worker and think to themselves, for a split second, she doesn't quite belong. Although we have come so far from when the degradation of women was so bad only a few decades ago, there are still some issues. One might Google search a firefighter, but subconsciously they imagine finding photos of men in their uniforms in front of a fire truck. These stereotypes exist, more than people care to acknowledge, and it's just another reason why it is hard to be a women in this day and age.

I believe that men do have it easier in society because women get judged more on so many levels. if a guy is "talking" to more than one girl he's considered cool, but if a girl does it she gets called names. Also in the business community men get paid more then woman regardless of whether they have the same job men still get paid more. Men are also held to higher positions in companies and people don't believe that women can't handle such a difficult job.

i do not think its really a diffrence

I believe that men have it easier in society today. One example of this is when women are trying to get jobs. Women have to try their hardest or they are judged right when you walk in the door. Even if you do get the job you have to make sure you keep it and you still don't get paid the same as men. In the graph, it is showing the percent of people that think men or women have it easier. Most people taking the pool chose that there is no difference. Finally, if the graph was only between men and women, all of the pools lean towards men

The graphs show that some people think men have it easier in the U.S. I would have to agree with the graphs because most men get paid more and they hold higher positions in companies. However, I think an overwhelming amount of people think that there is no difference in men and women in the U.S. Basically saying that if a man and women had the same education and same position at the same company that they would be paid exactly the same. I don't agree with this however, if feel that they are making strides to change this problem.

this graph is showing us who have it easier men of women. even though many people have protested and fought to have gender equality it will never happen because many people are judge others by what they do or like. there is a differences how men and women respond because everyone have there own opinion on gender equality and feel different about it.

The graph shows that no matter who was asked the bigger percentage said men have it easier in the U.S. and I would have to agree. Even almost a quarter of the men asked said men had it easier. I feel like the difference between the Democrats and Republicans answers is just their outlook and views; Republicans have the conservative "right wing" ideology so they mostly just see everyone as equal when its obvious that the Democrats see the opposite. To me men have it so much easier because women have to face many double standards, catcalling, and wage gap.

gender equality is something that many people have fought for all over the world. saying that both women and men have equal rights or that woman have it easier would be a false statement. "In the united states, the average woman's unadjusted salary has been cited as 75% to 78% of that of an average man" (aauw.org) this is just talking about the difference in them in a workplace, you should also consider things like school, being an adult, helping at home and even being a parent. in my opinion gender equality has gotten better in the united states but it is, in fact, something that is a problem.

I guess here we should specify some subjects like work, sex life, financial burden, children care, etc., as adults, and also in childhood with parents, at school, helping at home, etc.

I think girls/women have it easier because boys/men are always buying them things and taking them out to eat.

A free meal does not even come close to covering the earning difference between men and women. I'd rather the opportunity to make an equal wage. You can keep your meal and your expectation for sex afterwards.

Clearly the democrat strategy of pushing gender and class and racial division is showing its results here!
