The Government should allow dreamers to stay in the U.S without fear of being deported because that will allow the dreamers to pursue their American Dream. The article states “In 2001, a concerned guidance counselor for a frightened young woman whose family immigrated from South Korea reached out to Mr. Durbin for help. The young women, Tereza Lee, was a pianist who was hoping to apply to top-ranked music schools, but the law said she would have to leave the United States for 10 years.” This evidence shows that young dreamers dreams are being crushed by the law, and it is like the government does not want them to accomplish their goals. Also, not having the opportunity to fulfil their dreams is going to affect the dreamers because it can make them become frustrated and also make them hate America for not letting them be successful. Overall, a law to protect and allow the Dreamers to stay in the United States and have good careers should be made because it helps them become successful and also it help america get more intelligent workers.

Another reason, why illegal immigrants should be protected is because the immigrants pay taxes which helps improve the economy, and the taxis are very important specially in the big cities, for example New York city. In addition, “ immigrants illegally in the U.S. collectively contribute nearly $12 billion each year to state and local tax coffers, according to a new report that challenges recent election cycle rhetoric, the study from the Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy found that immigrants in the U.S. without legal permission kick in their billions in the form of income, property, sales or excise taxes’’. This means, that the immigrants make an important paper when we talk about tax and bring a lot of money to the U.S. Overall, the immigrants can make a positive change in the economy ,and taxes is one of the ways to improve

Politicians are using the immigrants like a spot. One of the reason why people should be here is that this is not only the country of white Americans but also the country of immigrants. It is true because the evidence from the video “What ‘Dreamers’ gained from DACA, and Stand to Lose” states that the politicians are ignoring the immigrants rights and immigrants are fighting against them to get their rights. It is true because if the immigrants are kicked out from this country then, it means they are not solving the problems but creating the problems. In addition, America would be like fish without a water because there would be no workers to work on their public center like hospital, hotel, school, drivers even the transportation might be slow for business purposes. Furthermore, America will be affected badly by the lack of skills and manpower. To conclude, the evidence explains that the America won't remain developed country as before if there is no immigrant.

United States is a country of immigrants because if you really think about it the british, the colonist, and the irish that came here in the 18th century all came from different countries. So the fact that some of today's politicians are against DACA is a really bad effect on the U.S because by doing that, they are not supporting the dreamers AAmerican Dreams.
Vidal Belemkaobga (New York)
The congress should stand up and fight so the president change his mind of putting an end to DACA. For example, in the video”What dreamers gained from DACA and stand for loss, it said: If DACA is taken away dreamers will lose their jobs, opportunites to go to school. This is important because immigrants are the ones making the economy of this country. The U.S in not a land of white americans people, it’s a land of immigrants. Earlier this school year in English class, we were working in different stations. There was a station that talks about immigrants in the U.S and it said”immigrants pay taxes, work hard more than Americans citizens.” That is a reason that the economy of the U.S is based on mostly immigrants. They are not criminals, they came here to look for jobs and good living conditions. In conclusion, immigrants are very important to the United States, U.S is a land of immigrants. SO the congress should stand up and speak to protect dreamers and convince the president to change his mind about ending DACA.

I choose the topic of immigration because we need to know how the immigrants come to USA and was their life in their native country maybe was hard or easy. I think that they come to here because they want one better life. immigrants have benefits and their children have better lives go to the best schools have more benefits than the Native Americans although parents are illegal sometimes children are born in the United States and their parents have to go to their native country because they don’t have papers immigrants have a better life than Americans because you take everything that belongs to Americans. The main idea is that the immigrants live well. For immigrants the giveaway program helps fulfill their dream of being able to help their family and to have a profession with which they can have a rich life. but this program donald trump wants to remove it I think that if he removes this program he will see many dreamers who will not be able to help their parents.
Jose Luis Zefla (New York )
The theme of the Dreamers and the young immigrants should be taken seriously. because in part these people help the country and come to this great country for opportunities, and if they should make laws that protect these people. whose law should include legal documentation, social insurance, etc. these people only seek a dream that is to overcome and contribute to this country.
Dayana Giron (NY, city)
The government should allow some dreamers to stay in the U.S. without fear of being deported because those dreamers came to this country risking everything for a better future, but also are some dreamers that came to this country and forget their goals and the reason why they came here, they start thinking about others ways that doesn't help them at all, like being involved gangs. Some democrats are looking for ways to help the dreamers, as alien Minors said “we can’t to call this bill for a vote on the floor of the House and the floor of the Senate, I am hoping that we will have enough votes to pass it.” This means that it will be not easy to deport all the dreamers immigrants because there are still some groups that are trying to help them like some Democrats as Senator Richard J. Durbin, Democrat, the government and the president Donald Trump should take in mind that if they deport all the dreamers that have been doing a good work, it will affect the dreamers but also years later it will affect the economy of the country such as the dreamers later can contribute to the economy system. Overall the government should analyze the situation and also analyze the vantage of let the Dreamers to stay here, the dreamers at somehow will help the future economy of this country with taxes and also the government could discount some money from their salaries, the money that the government spend before in their education.

There government should led the dreamers to stay in the U.S. without fearing of being deported and make a new version of daca were dreamers can be legalized because they deserved it after working hard and becoming somebody successful in this life. According to the document it says that “for 16 years have been unwilling to grant legal status to a sympathetic group of unauthorized immigrants may find that taking their legal status away is even harder than conferring it”. This evidence show that for 16 years the government have ignored to legalize dreamers but now they realize that taking their right of being in the U.S. it’s more harder then give it to them it’s harder to take their whole life that they had lived in the U.S. then legalize them as citizens. The government don’t want dreamers to stay but they had realized even harder to tell them they can’t be in the country anymore because it’s the only place they know and it would be like taking everything they had work so hard for their whole life.

Furthermore, immigrants have been here in the U.S. for decades immigrants have crossing to the U.S. for a lot of years, just looking for the American dream. Now in 2017 Donald Trump have deported million of people and now he's trying to deported 450 to 500,00 immigrants every year. Donald Trump took the decision to remove the DACA program that protected the young immigrants from being deported, they are trying to have DACA back because a lot of dreamers have being deported overy, president Trump have make 740,000 immigrants live in fear. In the second paragraph of the article says that ‘’( The prospects for success after more than a decade of false starts would already be daunting, but president Trump may have made the odds even longer after he promised voters last year that Republicans would take a hard line on immigrants, then punted issue to congress.)’’ the government should let young dreamers stay in U.S. give them an opportunity to be here, that it the problem is that they do not have papers, they should see the records of everyone of them and if they are clean and are studying for a better future why do they can’t not give them passport or papers and protection or restore DACA to let them continue to work to protect the dreamers, we are the future for a better world.
Marilyn Paramo (New York)
The government should allow dreamers to stay in the U.S. without fear of being deported because they are people that has been fighting for progress in life. One piece of evidences that can be found on the article states: “Trump may have made the odds even longer after he promised voters last year that Republicans would take a hard line on immigration, then punted the issue to Congress”. This evidence support the point because it is showing how trump has promised the dreamers, that he is going to emphasized in their problem, but now he is making some excuses to not do anything about it. Dreamers just want to have their legal papers that would make their life more easy, to still fighting of the dreams that they have and Trump as a president did not want to put attention to them. In conclusion, dreamers should be protected by the congress and not be afraid of being deported, many children came here to have better opportunities and DACA was the unique manner that was helping them to be in a country without anyone and following their dreams. It is unfair that form one moment to another president trump wants to disappear everything that they have gain in the last 16 years of fighting.
Allison Barrera (NY city)
I agree with Marilyn Paramo that immigrants have not to be worried because goverment is going to take care of them since when they become professional, they will being a fundamental contribution to the progress, development and growth of this nation
Cesar Murillo (New York)
What is should be done for the “Dreamers” is that they should protect them from being deported back to their country’s, and there’s need to be a law that protect them and all the children that are illegal in United States because people have the right to live in here and the children can have a better education that they cannot receive in their countries, if there’s a law that protect theses people and children from being deported back to their country it would include food supply, coupons and a programs that help the learn english, this way they will not have any problems with starvation and understanding things that are in english and they can communicate with people that normally speak english, but there can be a problem of overpopulation in the United states and people in the united states will not have a lot of control with food and there may be a starvation.
Allison Barrera (NY city)
There are many dreamers who should be allowed to stay in the U.S without fear of being deported since they fight day by day to access a place in this country which is really hard through education. This is supported by A.J. Chavar “The prospects for success after more than a decade of false starts would already be daunting, but President Trump may have made the odds even longer after he promised voters last year that Republicans would take a hard line on immigration, then punted the issue to Congress.” These facts shed light on the idea that immigrants’ fight to obtain rights in U.S have been really long over the years, but actually Mr. Trump made it more harder and longer, by the fact he discriminated a lot immigrants who are here for the same goal which is to have a better life. Although some of them chose the wrong way, not everyone have to pay the mistakes of those immigrants who are part of the gangs. It is clear that Dreamers do not want to hurt Americans as Trump said.
Radia 3D (Yc_clip)
In my opinion the dreamers are able to stay in the united states of America because they come here to research a better life and make their dream. the children have the right of protection because they came here in early age with their family and they live their life here in America so we don’t have right to send them back to their countries. the people need to support the dreamers and be with them.
Makenzie P. (North Caroline, US)
Should “dreamers” stay in America? Yes, this is a country built on immigrants and that’s how it should stay. There are many reasons, my first reason being how they were promised a bill in 2012, that allowed them to stay in this country safely and without fear of being deported. If this bill is taken away then the least that could be done, is to give time to the dreamers to go through the naturalization process and gain citizenship. DACA may not have been the best solution, but it wasn’t the worst. President Trump says that we should build a wall between us and Mexico, but we aren’t just building a physical wall. We are building a wall between our family, our friends, and our strangers. How are these “dreamers” supposed to leave their homes? How can our conscious handle kicking people out of our country, when we are morally obligated to help others?
Justin Lee (San Jose, California)
I think that while it is not necessary for there to be a law to protect undocumented immigrants, they should not be discriminated or deported. Documented or not, all human beings should be treated fairly and equally. I agree with Senator Lindsey Graham’s saying of “There are a lot of people who believe that a good marriage would be border security and Dream Act.” Border security should be involved with the Dream Act because immigrants might pass the border illegally not because they wish to attack America, but they wish and dream to start a better life. It’s not fair to discriminate illegal immigrants who are just trying to start new lives, not terrorize people. The government should allow illegal immigrants to stay without fear of deportation. This is due to the fact that they might have fled illegally due to terror in their old country, or without choice. The fear of deportation is scary, as they are just going about their new lives. Deporting them would be crushing their lives that they had created.
Grace Bender (Albany Oregon)
I believe that undocumented immigrants brought to the United States as children should be granted citizenship. It makes no sense to deport someone to a country that they have no memory or ties to. If somebody has been raised in the United States, the United States is their home country. I understand Senator Graham's position, but historically speaking and in recent years, added border security has not succeeded at keeping out undocumented immigrants, so I think other solutions and balances must also be explored for U.S. immigration policy. But above all I think the requirements for becoming a citizen need to be reformed. The current system is designed with the intention of keeping people out, as opposed to providing a way in.
Susie Colyar (Albany, Oregon)
DACA seeks to protect the innocent, those who have come here with no choice and have fought to make their life better in a land of supposed opportunity. By taking away their protection, it is not only despicable, but entirely un-American. The 800,000 individuals protected under DACA deserve to have a chance to build their lives here. Many of them have established themselves; built careers and families. They are contributing members to our society. They are our doctors, our nurses, our teachers, our neighbors, and our friends. Our people. Tearing them away from the only home they've ever known, would be truly cruel. DREAMers are everywhere, they are decent, tax-paying citizens, who contribute significantly to the economy. To deport them would simply be racism, as they have done nothing but good to our country.
Taylor LaBelle (Oregon)
"Dreamers" come to the United States in search of a better life. Everybody, if they admit it or not, wants to live a happy and successful life without worry. Nobody should take away a dream like that from anybody. Especially based on if that someone has been a citizen since they were born or just recently. People should be able to chase their dreams, no matter who they are or where they are from.
Leonardo Morales (Albany, Oregon)
Most of the children brought here illegally by their parents were either to young to remember or to young to understand what was going on. They have grown up their whole lives here in America and throwing them into a country they may have never been to is ridiculous. They had no choice in the matter so why must they be the ones to suffer the consequences? Immigrants make up a significant portion of the economy so throwing them all out would cause more harm than good anyways. Dreamers should not be living in anxiousness of whether their whole lives may become uprooted and lose everything they've come to know and love. America is a society founded from immigrants so who are we now to deny that hope of a better life to innocent people looking for it.
mikyla lyon (oregon )
The dreamers should be able to stay in the US and fulfill what they came here for; a better life. They can not achieve a better life when they have to live in fear of being deported. Making it easier for the immigrants to become citizens would be a great solution. So many families have been torn apart. The US should be about making new beginnings and not be living in fear of being deported.
Lillie Ballard (Oregon)
Our country is founded on the belief that everyone deserves a chance for a better life. Sadly because of human fault we have become greedy. Instead of being caring and welcoming to those who come from poverty, crime, and diminishing societies our community chooses to remain selfish. Most immigrants have the desire to contribute in a positive way to America. God only knows how many families have to be ripped apart before a law is set in place to protect them. Not one individual should live their life in fear of being deported. This country is supposed to be about new beginnings, not terrifying endings.
Samantha (Oregon)
What should be done for “dreamers”, there should be a law to protect them and all children who are undocumented. They didn't choose to come to the US. their parents did because they wanted them to have a better life than they had. Is that not what every parent wants? For their children to have a life better than they had? Paul D. Ryan says “that those who have done nothing wrong can still contribute as a valued part of this great country” Those that have done nothing wrong, who's to say the adult parents did something completely wrong? The protections this law should include are very simple. They are human they shouldn't be made to feel less than. The thought of judging or discriminating people because of where they were born or who their parents are, just seems sad. Since we live in a world like this we apparently can’t make it fair at this point. The closest of hope is to legalize the innocent children that were part of DACA because they have already been here so long and the US. is and has been their home.
Gisselle Ortíz (Oregon)
The government should not deport DREAMers back to their country of origin. It is not only inhumane to deport these young people back to a country that they physically know nothing of, but it would also negatively affect the country. Most DACA recepients are either in school or currently work. Eliminating thousands of people from the work force would have the U.S. lose thousands of dollars in revenue, therefore severely damaging our economy. Additionally, it would also require millions of dollars to deport thousands of innocent people. All DREAMers also have no criminal record, which is a DACA requirement. Creating an easier path for citizenship would be the best solution. The path to citizenship to foreigners is difficult. It is likely that DREAMers do whatever to attain U.S. citizenship which would again, greatly benefit the country economically. These are only a few of many reasons as to why DREAMers should be allowed to remain in the country. After all, this country is made up of immigrants. Our ancestors are immigrants. Those before us had the ambition to achieve the American Dream, and to take that privilege away from innocent people that have those same dreams is inhumane and extremely unfair. We truly do need them for this and many reasons which lead them to them being the backbone of this country. It truly is immigrants that make America great.
Yuritzia Peraza-Ortega (97321)
Dreamers should be granted the privilege to have freedom in the United States. They should have the right to go to school and be able to follow their dreams. Many dreamers don't have a criminal record, they pay taxes, and make an effort to go to school and work at the same time. It is very unfair to take away DACA from these hard working people. What major reason should there be to not grant this program to dreamers? They have all the right to at least get a little bit of help to go to school. Their parents were the ones who made the decision to have them in the United States, not the dreamers. Their parents should be the ones to be blamed for an action the dreamers had no will on deciding. The government should allow dreamers to stay in the U.S. without fear of being deported. Congress should still let dreamers get the program of DACA. As long as they have no criminal background, they keep paying their taxes, and have a job to prove they can pay their taxes, they should definitely get at least the program of DACA to follow their dreams.
Yuliana Rojas (Oregon )
Dreamers should be allowed to stay in the U.S and have the opportunity to be able to become citizens. Dreamers have done no wrong but being able to have a permit under DACA to be able to attend college, own a house ,get a job and being able to be licensed. They are such hard workers and are being able to achieve their dreams, dreams that would be a lot harder if it wasn't for DACA. They shouldn't live in fear of the thought that they could be deported and be taken away from where they grew up. Dreamers should be protected by a law from deportation and have the right to stay.
Hanna Washburn (Albany, OR)
The children of illegal immigrants have a right to be protected from deportation. They were brought here by their parents, not their choice; if we deported them they'd be send to a country they don't know. Many of the Dreamers are a part of our society: in the workforce, they are educated workers that contribute to our economy. In light of the recent natural disasters, the last thing we need to do is deport 800,000 people that have and can help save lives.
Lorenzo Harris (Kamiakin High School Class of 2018. WA State)
Illegal imigrants are pretty cool people as long as they obey our laws and regulations. Their kids should not be punished for their parents mistakes and past crimes.
Grayson HHHS (Michigan)
I think that the Dreamers have a right to be in the United States if they are here for work, schooling, and etc. There should be laws that are used to protect them because no one should be deported back if they have a good career going on or if they have a family or if they're just here for education. DACA has ruined peoples lives and has taken them away from opportunities. I agree with Senator Lindsey Graham because this problem needs to be fixed and there should be different rules for the immigration system.
Casey Brooks (Oregon)
I absolutely believe that DREAMers should be protected from deportation by law. They are a group of individuals who ousted themselves as children of illegal immigrants so that they could contribute to our country. Individuals who sought education, pay taxes, and stay on the good side of the law. I am hesitant to agree with Senator Graham, but I agree that now is not the time for a comprehensive rework of the United States immigration system. Congress needs to reach an agreement that protects DREAMers from ever having to fear being deported as long as they abide the law, and the rules of the DACA program.
Landon (Hanover)
There be should a law to protect the dreamers and all children who are undocumented immigrants. A law that allows them to study and work freely because these people come to United States to better life and their children have not the blame for bringing here. I agree with senator Lindsey Graham because they have to resolve it. The government should allow dreamers to stay in the U.S and the congress should to legalize DACA
Hee Yun Chung (California)
The government should allow "Dreamers" to stay in the US without fear of being deported. Though I believe illegal immigration is unlawful and should somehow be dealt with, those already in the US should have the pathway to citizenship without fear. These Dreamers are already a vital part of the economy since many have jobs, pay their fair share of taxes and follow the law like anybody else would. They have a valuable life that shouldn't be destroyed by the government. Many Dreamers came to America illegally due to their parents fleeing violence in other countries when they were little. They had no control to what happened and it's not their fault that they're here illegally. It is because of these circumstances that the government should be humane and allow these undocumented Dreamers to live in the US without fear and grant a way towards citizenship. Getting rid of Dreamers would not only damage America's moral high ground in the world, but it would adversely impact the economy and create misery.
Javier HHHS (Michigan)
The U.S. does not have any obligation to keep these “Dreamers” in the country. However, it isn’t right to have to force the “Dreamers” back. They already have a life here, and it’s very likely that they have worked very hard to get a foothold in this country, and to deport them, would be robbing them of everything they have worked for. On the other hand, the U.S. should not be responsible for the incompetence of Mexico’s government, and their lack of ability to manage a country. There should be a compromise between deportation and granting them immunity from deportation. If the “Dreamers” are to commit any felonies, they should be deported, just like any other undocumented immigrant. In conclusion, it would be unfair to punish any of the “Dreamers”, as long as they prove to be functioning members of society they should be allowed to stay.
xueyuLing 3D (YC-CLIP)
I think we make a platform to spread widely against President Trump’s decision. Meanwhile I also hope there is a law to protect the ‘Dreamers’ and all children who are undocumented immigrants. It should refer to their education and work legally what like a permanent residence can do in U.S. These ‘Dreamers’ were brought into the country illegally as children by their parents who grew up here and they aren’t wrong. They should be protected with their life.
I agree with Mr. Graham’s opinion of view because any thing would be easier to reach an agreement if bipartisan can action in close cooperation.
Yes, the government would allow them stay in the U.S. Congress should legislate a list of clause about the ‘Dreamers’ and ensure that they can live in U.S if they want.
AryannaHHS (Hanover, MI)
What I think should be done for the “dreamers” is to allow them to stay in the US and make them citizens. When looked at, most dreamers lived happy and normal lives, ran business, and had families before the DACA ended, so now they are being threatened to be deported from everything that they love and cherish. There should be a law that allows them to stay, where safe cities could be set up, dreamers can get a chance to become a citizen, and it grants them all the rights that normal citizens have and be allowed to live their lives. I think the government should re-establish the DACA and Dream Act, but update it with new protection ideas and compromises.
Eryn HHHS (Michigan)
Yes, I think the government should allow dreamers to stay in the U.S. without fear of being deported I think this because everyone has a right do be where they want to be without because scared. They came to the U.S. to start a new life so you should give them a chance. Some people came to the U.S. to start families and if you make the children's parents go back to where they came from then you are going to make their children grow up without seeing there parents ever.
JuliaHHHS (Hanover)
I think that there is a lot wrong with our society today. I didn't think that we would ever see a day where people weren't accepting other people for the color of their skin, their religion, or their gender. After being educated about this situation, I think that the "dreamers" should take a test to become a U.S. Citizen. I think that people coming in from other countries is okay, until they start taking all of our jobs. I think that if they just spend the money and take the U.S. Citizen test that everybody will be happy.
Chan HHHs (Michigan)
I think the dreamers should be allowed to stay in america because these people are good people and mean no harm to the people that live here. What makes this topic sad to see is the people who lived here there whole life and how they treat the Mexicans that come over. A lot of people cant accept these people but when they need a helping hand in there business they go ask a Mexican for help and we have no choice because there trying to make a better life for there family as are most of american families are doing the same. Being Mexican my family members show more love and great fullness for this country then most Americans do because we had to fight and work to be able to stay in this country and for the US to make us scared of being deported is sad. This country should be a shame of what it has turned into because of all the hatred toward other raises for wanting whats best for them. If they are already here in the US why bother them when they have done nothing to deserve deportation especially when the kids when all they know is the US as there home. what makes topic tough is that the white and foreign eyes will never see each other because the they have not seen the other side of having to work night and day in a hot fields, earning low wages, bad work environment, and horrible living arrangement but they do all that to get there family to a better place and a safe living environment which all of that is in US.
Edwyn HHHS (School)
Ending DACA might not be best solution but DACA wasn’t a good solution either. Immigrants who came here and have lived here illegally since they were young do not know their own country or maybe even the language. DACA should end, but that doesn’t stop other policies from being put in place. Those under DACA currently could be grandfathered in, and a new program specifically for them could be put in place where they could take classes and get actual citizenship. These “DREAMERS” should at least have the chance to stay where they were raised.
Mitchell HHHS (US)
I believe that people should fight for the right for “dreamers” to be here.  I do believe that there should be a law protecting them and the kids.  I say this because the kids and people that have been here do not have control over if they came over to the United States or not.  I think that they should be protected by a law that states that anyone under eighteen should be protected by this law.  I also think that the government should let the “dreamers” stay in the United States as long as they are under eighteen.  Or they should also let them stay if they have legal documentation.
Jacob HHHS (Hanover)
For the dreamers that have lived in the United States I believe that they should stay in this country. I believe that if you have lived here for the most or all of their lives should be able to stay in this country. These people have lived here for their whole life and have made friends and family here and have lives and that shouldn't all be taken away from them. I think the government should let the dreamers stay here without the fear of being deported.
Harley HHHS (Hanover Horton, Michigan)
Dreamers are young immigrants brought to America by their parents when they were younger. They did not know what they were being thrown into in America, they just knew that their parents were taking them somewhere different for a new life, a better life. Many dreamers were brought to America when they were very young, so if they were deported and sent back to their country of origin, they would feel foreign, as if they don’t belong in that place, because they have adopted American customs and way of life. The dreamers deserve protection as long as they are functioning members of society who are causing no harm to the United States.
Ashleigh HHHS (Michigan)
The US is full with many "dreamers" and a lot of them are children. These children have to grow up extremely careful about what they are doing in their everyday life. They have to live with the fear of being taken from their home and forced to go wherever and leave everything in their lives behind. They shouldn't have to live with this. Because of this, there should be some type of law protecting these kids. Maybe there could be a law that could help them become legal citizens but only be able to do it in a certain amount of time. There have already been laws that have tried to help these people but so many others keep finding loop holes into not letting some people into our country or forcing them to leave. Many of these kids didn't even have a choice to come here. It was mostly their parents' decision.
Hayden HHHS (Mrs Jobs Classroom)
I strongly agree with Trump's presidential decisions and wanting to build a wall to keep illegal immigrants out. This is America which means Americans should be able to work and not have to feel threatened by these immigrants coming into our country and get paid for less. There are many others on the other side of the argument than I am and i am completely understanding of that, but this is America and Americans deserve to not feel threatened by illegal immigrants.

Funny how this is America: "The land of Liberty and justice for all"

I believe that dreamers should stay in the United States if they will fulfill their goals. If they are fully devoted to the United States by getting a job, serving in our military, or providing for an community they should stay here. I don’t normally believe in deadlines, but if they don’t manage to complete their goals, I believe that action needs to be taken. But nonetheless, let them get an social security card, a driving license, and more that’ll benefit them in order to complete their dream. I do believe in the american dream as dreamers shouldn’t be left out in the United States.
Judy HHHS (Michigan)
I believe that the dreamers should be allowed to stay inside of the United States. I think it is unfair to force them to leave, when many have lived here for years. To force them from their homes and lives in America would be very cruel. I believe a law should be in place to protect them, especially the children. A law that could allow them to stay inside of America, become United States citizens, and keep them safe without the constant fear of being deported. This law should protect their homes, jobs, and children. I think that we should give them the opportunity to attain citizenship, and leave them be. The government should think about this decision more before they take action. I find it ironic that America, a country built from immigrants, wants to remove them from it’s borders. Not only is it hypocritical, but it will ruin the lives of thousands of hardworking people who live here. Congress should leave DACA in place. There is no need to revoke it and leave people once safe in fear of losing their families and lives here in the United States. These people aren’t just “immigrants.” They are real people who contribute to the American society, culture, and workforce and deserve to be treated as so.
Christian HHHS (Hanover Horton)
I feel that DACA is a good program for the immigrants that are doing good things to our country and not committing crimes. There are so many illegal immigrants in America and I can see why Trump wants to end the DACA program. I would do what Trump is doing because it's causing lots of issues in America. I know that all of the immigrants do not think that it's a good idea because they are going to have to leave. This is what I think about the current DACA program.
Josselynn HHHS (Hanover)
The government should keep the ‘Dreamers’ in the U.S because since the are already Americans, they should stay. They should make a law to protect the people who already are ‘established’ as an American. I think you should not use fear to get rid of immigrants. Later on, the cause of that will affect greatly on the future. They should let people that want to be in U.S (done in the right way, instead of sneaking) they should be because they want a better life and their children.
Logan HHHS (hanover)
I think that even though the " dreamers" have families, i don't think it is fair to there kids that they have to suffer what there parents suffer. by me saying this i don't know if there should be a law that protects the immigrants because it is the parents fault they knew they would be taking a risk to come over the border, but then again it's not the parents fault because they were brought by their parents. what i'm trying to say is every immigrant should should earn there there way in the u.s and become a citizen.
Tayler HHHS (Hanover)
Immigration has many sides to it and although many people do not agree our government needs find a way to solve this ongoing disagreement. I understand that being an immigrant in this country is hard and the fear of being deported is a daily concern. I know this is so awful to say but honestly if you wanted to live in this country so bad you would get take the time to get legal documents; I understand that not all countries have the equal rights America does and life is hard but it's not fair to cheat the system and just “jump the border.” I do believe the government should create laws to protect families with children born of the united states; it must be so awful to be deported and take your child back to the country you tried so hard to leave. I just feel that before you even come to America you should get legal documents and then you wouldn't have to worry about deportation.
Jennafer HHHS (Hanover)
Immigration is a big thing today.  A lot of people think that immigrants should not come to the us.  I understand if you are going to commit crime, then they should leave.  But if they came
to America to start a new fresh life then the government should let them.  I do feel that if you want to become an american you should get your green card, even if it takes a while to get one.  In the long run it will be worth it.  Everyone should have equal rights, no one should be treated differently.
ZachL.HHHS (hanover)
I think it is wrong to deport people that have been living here for years. People that are citizens of the United Sates can stay here for as long as they want. If they aren't citizens then I believe that they can be deported, with reason. Kicking someone out of the country because of their race or heritage is not right. Its not America.
Noah (The Western Hemisphere)
I believe that it is the moral responsibility of the U.S. to protect “dreamers” from threats of deportation and having to return to a country that was never their home. The institution of the Deferred action for Childhood Arrivals program or DACA, by President Obama in 2012 was an action that showed that the U.S. is a country that respects and loves its immigrants. It’s rollback is a black mark on our country's history, and one we have to erase soon.
The beneficiaries of the DACA program pose no threat or harm to otherwise legal citizens. Only 0.0026% of beneficiaries have a criminal record. However removing DACA and therefore their work permits hurts many state economies. 11.6 billion dollars of California's GDP are generated by people given work permits by the DACA. Taking these permits away damages the U.S. economy greatly.
DACA was a good program that should of been expanded into law. Sadly fear mongering and hate pose a serious challenge to the lives of those who only wish to make a better life for themselves.
Londyn (HHHS)
For dreamers living in the United States should have the chance to stay in this country. Dreamers were brought over to this country at an age that they only remember the United States. We can’t punish them for their parents bringing them over and wanting a better life for their children than they did in their country. The United States definitely should have a law protecting the undocumented dreamers because again it wasn’t their choice to come here so they shouldn’t have to pay on their family wanting freedom.
celeste (hehehe)
I think that dreamers should be allowed in america because of what they did in the past to keep them inside of our country. In the past, some people in congress have allowed undocumented immigrants into our country as passed by the DREAMER program. This program has allowed many immigrants to cross our country’s border and now they want to kick them out? This act is not suiting for the people who came into this country as to thinking they were americans, but the DREAMER program failed to give them the right documents? And now these poor people have to suffer from the fact that the DREAMER program didn’t actually fulfill the right to give them citizenship?
I think that the DREAMER act was a great program to allow these harmless people in who have done nothing wrong, but now that we see what has happened, we know there were flaws in the system. If a program says that you can be a citizen but doesn't give you the right documents, then there will be a problem. But as for these people who have made it there journey to come to america and be successful have now been suffering from the unmistakeable stupid fact that they don't have documents but there citizen? They should be able to stay and as or congress, they shouldn’t argue for a law that they surpassed.

While I am opposed to the mass deportation of people solely because their parents made a mistake, I have to say that these types of radical measures are only being brought to the table because Democrats supported blanket amnesty for many illegal immigrants, including those that have committed violent crimes. We need to have tougher border security, and that includes building a wall, but I think that bringing an end to "Dreamers" is the wrong start. I support legislation to legalize dreamers that are only here because of their parents, but Democrats need to cooperate with President Trump to do more to curb illegal immigration. Politics is all about compromise and it is self-destructive for a nation to have no borders, but it is also cruel to forcibly remove 800,000 people for their parents mistakes. I believe saving Dreamers is a noble cause for Democrats, but if they seriously care about Dreamers they'll be willing to compromise with Republicans and take a stand against things like sanctuary cities and allowing ICE to do their job and deport illegal immigrants with felonies. Also, some Dreamers have also committed crimes such as Social Security Fraud. This should be addressed in any legislation put forward.

I believe that the congress in these six months should support not to eliminate the DACA program, to look for more options to help these young people who are under the protection of DACA, because they did not take the decision to came to U.S.A, they are not criminals and they have rights as any human in the world, 800,000 of lives and Dreams are disappointed thinking about what’s going to happen with their futures.
Hichem 3D (YC -CLIP)
The DACA program was created by Barack Obama since a long time ago just to protect this young people and trying to make them in safety and peace. I think that the dreamers are still participating in the daily life of the united states as workers, executives, students …etc in legal case. the congress should protect them and refuse the decision of Donald Trump that saying deport this category. the dreamers came to America by their parents as children since many years and years ago and they don’t have any idea about their countries, so the government instead thinking to deport the dreamers must be thinking to give them support and help and encourage them in the American society and invest in their capacity.
shuhag 3D (YC CLIP)
I think we should be doing something for “dreamers”. We Should make law to protect them and all children who are undocumented immigrants. The law has to protect their basic human right and their right to get education. Undocumented immigrants should have something that says they can work in U.S.A. I don’t think congress should eliminate the DACA because it only helps people. Their this no way the government can sent 800,000 lives under the DACA program
Jose 3D (YC clip)
The dreamers are child who were brought by their parents, they did not choose to be here. Now that they have grown as an American child and some of them do not even know their native country or language. The DACA program was created to protect them and make them fell safe and be part of the country. Nowadays they are studying, working and giving their best for the United States. The government should have that on mine the day that they will make a decision and protect their human rights.
Karina 3D (YC-CLIP)
Eliminate DACA it is a cruel decision, because many of those undocumented people do not know about their country insomuch as their parents brought when they were kids and today day they are adults with family, job and lifestyle in the USA. It is very impossible to the government to send back 800,000 people because this is a lot of money and they have to find all of those people. Many of the Trump’s decision has to be approve for the congress and supreme court because they have to make sure that he does not skip the human rights. Trump wants to Eliminate this program because he said that American Younger has a dream too is like as if the immigrants took their space. I think this program (DACA) gives a great opportunity for the “Dreamers” and they contribute with country growth.
Lisette 3D (YC-CLIP)
DACA has to be analyzed very carefully by the Congress. The Daca program was created by former President Obama in 2012. It protects young immigrants who arrived into the United States without documents as children. I think that the government should allow dreamers to stay in the U.S. without fear of being deported. Most of them are people who want to make their contribution to the U.S. in a positive way, people that come here to make a difference in the world, becoming successful and making U.S a better federal republic.
Adriana 3D (YC-CLIP)
According with the article “Should the Government Allow ‘Dreamers’ to Stay in the U.S Without Fear of Being Deported? By Caroline Crosson. I am think this is Terrible for the all younger immigrants, because they are feel empty and not see the future in the country’s they born this is why they looking for solution and now call for the vote on the floor of the House and the floor of the Senate, maybe the solution is in the table. They have hoping that, they have enough votes to pass it in my opinion for this country is better gave documents to all youngers immigrants, because the Government receive more money for Army and for all necessities important for USA, because everybody need pay taxes and work for this country.
Lizeth V 3D (YC CLIP)
Trump is wrong with this proposal and it is not fair for all those 800.000 dreamers that only want is study and work without problems or restrictions. Those people that grew up in this country did not chose to be here. They do not know how is life in other city or country, USA is their country and they are Americans too. They deserve the right to be happy, to build a life here, to study and work legally but the president wants to cancel this program and make all the dreamers go back to their original countries. The thing that he does not realize is that the dreamers that came here have grown and they see this country as their native country some of them do not even remember their native language and homeland because they have grown as American children
Debbie 3D (YC-CLIP)
I think about actually dreamers should to be legal because they are brought here illegally by their parents. The Dreamers are studying now and getting ready; they don’t do anything bad to anyone. They are being raised as if they were American citizens and they love this country. I think that lawmakers need to think about dreamers as part of the America population that is preparing for a better nation.
luz 3D (YC CLIP)
Many dreamers are frightened by the government of Donald Trump there is no doubt about this. It should not be an impediment to continue with their dreams. The congress must take into account the votes of both parties and analyze the reasons. sometimes the reasons are more valid than the law. We all have equal rights and deporting is not a solution is a violation of rights.
Rosa3D (YC-CLIP)
I think that DACA program cannot be deleted by Trump since Obamas created that program and more of 800.000 young people are benefited by DACA. There is not way to send back 800.000 people because the government has to invents a lot of money and time to find those people. All of those people have a life, job and family and then they pay taxes like every people in this country. If this program is eliminated a lot of people will lose they dreamers.
Onevil 3D (YC CLIP)
The DACA program is an important topic to talk about. A lot people have different opinions about it. Some of them said president Trump doesn’t need dreamers coming from other countries because he thinks that the country has enough dreamers. I think “the Dreamers “will be okay because they are working a lot for this country. It is not fair to send all undocumented home. some of them doesn’t know nothing about own country. I think, the congress will make a good decision to protect them in united states. They cannot pay something they didn’t know before.
Yusanny 3D (YC-CLIP)
I think our president must support all young immigrants and give them new opportunities because they dream of a purpose to pursue their dreams that they did not have in their country. The president must give their a law to protect these dreamers who have a great dream of an educational career to continue in this way and help their family. And give them a law to protect them in their studies because tomorrow those dreamers will be perhaps our professionals who contribute in this country.
safaa 3D (YC-CLIP)
In my opinion, it will be the best if the congress objects this executive order announced by the president Donald Trump which is elimination of DACA for many reasons. First, this ‘‘Dreamers’ ‘were brought to the United States by their parents as children so it’s not their fault. Second, if we propose this people go back to their original countries, what will they do there? They don’t know nothing about their countries, its tradition, culture or even the language probably a lot of them forgot it immediately. As a result, they cannot live there. So I wish that in this six months the congress refuse to ending the DACA and do the opposite, they should work on it to give this undocumented people their rights to study and work legally because in the final they pay taxes as the Americans people so they need to live like Americans.
Liliana A 3D (YC CLIP)
DACA program is a relief for millions of families that their only object is get a better Quality of life. I 100% agree with that take away their legal status is even harder than conferring it. That is because they are millions of people that been here their entire life and were giving the best of their life to this country. I think what the Congress has to do for all of Dreamers is giving a complete legal status in United Stated. It’s because the Dreamers have won this right with the fact that they are didn’t make nothing wrong. In contrast, they are a big contribute to this great country.
Franchesca 3D (YC-CLIP)
There be should a law to protect the dreamers and all children who are undocumented immigrants. A law that allows them to study and work freely because these people come to United States to better life and their children have not the blame for bringing here. I agree with senator Lindsey Graham because they have to resolve it. The government should allow dreamers to stay in the U.S and the congress should to legalize DACA.
LilianaM3D (YC-CLIP)
I think this idea that has the president Trump not is favorable for migrants because they are students also works and they pay them taxes to U.S.A and your dreams will be broken, now 800,000 lives in the balance and a fiercely anti migratory. I hope the congress do something and do it right for the so called dreamers I don’t agree with Senator Susan Collins, Republican of Maine, said she believed there is widespread bipartisan why of protection to children who are brought to this country through no decision of their own. I believe that the dreamers they stay in U.S.A without fear of being deports
Lisa3D (YC-CLIP)
I think we should protect “dreamers” and of course should be a law to protect them and young immigrants who were brought into the country undocumented as children. Because in the United States, there are many various people are living. And especially 800,000 people are living and they are treated under the DACA program. Also a large of the people as dreamers doesn’t know them native country. They lived as American so they inly speak English. I think they have right to live in United States if were undocumented. If they are deported, they will have difficulty troubles. For example, they don’t have parents so they need to look for foster parent and if they can only speak English and they can’t speak the languages which are spoken there.
