It was very sad because summer was over. It was also good because we get to see our friends.
Ben Bonebrake (RSMS)
I'm never that excited to give up my freedom of the summer and go back to school but this time was worse I was dreading it so much and I was bullied last year and it was terrible so this year a week before school that I got poorly and the school never did anything and it is still going on and I can not stand these kids are being let alone and they are able to do this to me and the school is doing diddly squat and the school won't do it for me and my sanity and it just won't stop I am so beyond frustrated and I just want to give them a good old slice of reality and I will not stand for this terrible horrible ness going on.

At the beginning of school you can be excited to meet new people and to talk to your friends again.

I was not to happy to start school but now since school has started I have had to get back into all my schedules. I do like learning new things though and learning new things makes me smart

Going back to school felt like every other year going back to school. I was a little excited but now it just feels like school.

2017-2018 school year has been kind of fun but i cant wait for more classes to get funner and harder
Hannah Bartlett (RSMS)
I felt happy to start school because it was better than sitting at home on my phone all day,but it took some time to get back in the routine of getting up in the morning.
Grace Battelle (RSMS)
At the start of the school year I am not exited at all, because I dont like school the classes are to long and we have to wake up wayyyyyyyyyyyy to early.
Drew Beinke (RSMS)
I was excited to come back and see all of my friends, but I did not want summer to ever end. I like school but I just do not like how it is 5 days a week, or any homework. When we get home we want to be able to relax and have fun, not do more work.

This 2017-18 school year has been OK, not the greatest but definitely not the worst school year ever
Kirsta Burleigh (RSMS)
I felt good because I had no homework and I got to go home and SLEEP. I also was bummed out because I had to wake up @6:00am now. In the summer I always woke up at least 1:00pm. I LIKE MY SLEEP.

I was nervous because I didn't know any of my teachers and I didn't know if they were mean or nice

This is a big year it is my senior year of high school, that is mostly why I was ready for this school year to start. I am also kinda mad this school year started because I was really enjoying summer and I didn’t want it to end. This is my last year of high school and I’m honesty sad it’s almost over. That is how I feel about this school year starting.

Every year for the first part of are lifes us students return to school in a bored and yet still excited wave. Maybe it's just because we're one year closer to the end of our journey through classes that can't possible be that important, or maybe it's that we still have this year to be ourselves and not crushed be the outstanding life of an adult. Whatever it may be we deal with it, in fact we deal with a lot when it comes to school, almost endless amounts of stress and tears, so much happiness and joy we’d kill to stay there forever, and most importantly yet another step towards our oncoming future, but that's what schools all about right? Learning to grow up and mature fast enough so you can continue survive and thrive, this year my not be the best but i'll sure act like it is, and make it through till next year at least.

At the start of the school year I’m always excited to go back to school, but at the same time I’m a nervous reck. I always hated the idea of starting school before the labor day holiday because I feel like it’s taking time away from students break from learning. I can also see how it can benefit us though because it allows teachers to teach more subjects or take longer sessions on a certain unit that students need help on. I also like how it allows schools to get out earlier for summer break too. So the idea of starting school early or not can be different based on who you ask and can vary in opinion.

A sense of optimism and nervousness of the very first few weeks of school always gets to me. The nervousness of the class I struggle in and the feeling of curiosity of getting the class I wanted for a long time. I feel like the pressure of making others satisfied instead of me raises the fear of entering a classroom not knowing if I would pass the class or not. Perhaps I take my own direct approach and take things one step at a time. I’m still mildly excited for this year as I expect myself to do better with a balanced breakfast and the passion to learn.

I am feeling pretty good about the new school year for many reasons, all of them have me excited for the rest of the school year. I’m excited to be taking psychology online because the mind has always fascinated me. I like the way the school starts five minutes early and gets out five minutes early. I also enjoy the teachers I have this year, they are all fair and enjoy teaching as much as I love learning. The people I have met so far this year are super nice as well. I have class to thank for all of my new friends.

I am excited to start this school year. Our school has started earlier and earlier every year which really keeps things fresh from last year. It's nice to be able to start the school year as soon as summer starts to get dull. However, too much earlier and I think our school district could run into problems with the summer heat. However, I will be graduated before I even have to worry about it.

They way I feel about this school year already, I feel that it has been very good and very easy. I believe this because last year I moved late into the semester and I had to go back to the beginning and do all of the make up work so I was very far behind. I struggled a lot and now this year i'm on time to school, and getting good grades. I am a senior this year and to me it feels like kids look up to me and it's a good feeling knowing that kids want to follow in a leader's footsteps.

This style of learning is different than the current grade system. It allows students to work at their own pace and tests their drive to work. This will help with the real world, even without deadlines. Students know that if they don’t get things done they will fall behind, therefore they will work more than if someone else tells them to do it.

Coming back to school was bittersweet because this is my last year of high school. When I came back from a very short summer, and thought this year was going to be terrible. I joined a Law Enforcement class at the Career Center and only have 4 classes at my high school. I felt good coming back because I want to make new friends and do the best I can in each class. I do believe that I actually will enjoy my last year of high school because I will be encountering a lot of lasts’.

I’m still sorting out my feelings about the new school year. School still starts before labor day, something I’m not very happy with. School starting in general though can be rough for many students no matter when they start. However I do think that the classes I have this year are better than the classes I had last year (which were all mandatory.) Regardless of how I feel about the beginning I just want to have a good year of school like anyone else would.
