I don’t think that reading books we hate is productive. If we read books we dislike, our minds will not be able to absorb much information and this will make reading inefficient. In our lifetime is gold and I’d rather read more books that I like than reading books that I wouldn’t want to. However, in the future, I would try to read different types of genres and start liking them so I can have a wider range of books I can read.

I read a book which name is never talk to Stranger and I disagree with Anne Marie Pace. I think we have all read books. During my spring vacation I read even though I don’t like to read. I disliked it, because that's my way. I will get a book and dislike it and, generally, I still finish all books I start unless I find them objectionable or completely out of my range of interest and boring. There are books I have come across in my life, however, that I have not been able to finish I always put it down just can't get through it and I won't force myself. With life being so busy, and having limited time to read.

Well if I ever took a book that I did not like for anything but I think when one picks up books they should interest them because the books and the readings teach us a lot to learn and keep the mind busy. Good will benefit a lot because there are times that You do not like the books but already at the end of the book it becomes interesting and you like the end but not the beginning of the book they benefit a lot because they learn a lot.

I think the book is magic because the book is another world, for this reason I prefer to choose the books. The minds are so different and for that reason there are different types of readers and when teachers give me a reading for the book they usually do not finish reading because this person has a different preference. I understand that the teacher something needs to put a specific book for the student, but can motivate the student a look with activity as one day the student can talk about his favorite book because people help people.

Whenever I read books, I never keep down no matter if it is boring or confusing. Instead, I continue to read and finish it. Some books are start very confusedly in the begin but a couple of pages or chapter it floats in a very interesting way. Another hand gives us an opportunity to wrestle with its ideas. Maybe we argued with the author and gather opposite evidence. It may help you to develop a point of view. Every book offers an exciting journey and some books even when we hate them tells us a moral or a lesson in life we can learn from or relate too.

Though I have not voluntarily chosen any books I disliked, I have come across them a couple times. Book I expect to be a certain way, perspective or style ended up being the complete opposite. But at the same time I couldn't put it down, until I finished it, I had to force myself to read it wanting to give up and toss it half the time but yet something about it still held me captive. I later realized that when I read book I like and have been always reading, I don't notice the extra details and the unique style some authors try to tweek in, reading a book I disliked helped me in realizing what exactly I loved about all the books I did love to read. Plus, I also have to read books for school assignments and research papers that I don't always enjoy, but always end up learning new information.

First of all, reading book is a fun. With the large variety of style, there is something for everyone. I think reading is learning. Whatever you read, whether it is a scientific article, you always obtain new information. Reading can give us to get more knowledge and proficiency. One day it can turn out to be effective. When I read something, I try to understand it. I think we need to read a book that we like. When I read a book which is not attracting, I cannot motivate myself to finish it. But reading books which I don’t like can also be helpful because it can tell me about those topics that I know nothing. It can give me more information and developing different ideas. I think that reading is similar to a magic because we don’t know when or where it will give us benefits. In future, I would like to read books which I enjoy and motivate me to continue reading. Besides, being well-read, working on knowledge and intellectual capacities also makes me more self-confident.

People with poor reading skills cannot absorb knowledge and new information at a satisfactory pace. When a person doesn’t have the right reading skills they don’t get to benefit from reading as much assomeone who has good reading skills can. When people read at a very slow pace, this troubles and frustrates them. It makes them feel incompetent. For these people, reading just looks too time consuming and counterproductive to even bother with. Personally I like to read any kind of book because it's giving me lots of knowledge and this is my benefit.

Always think reading is similar to a magic, because we never know where or when it will give us benefits. Reading books you hate can also help you to think more and develop different opinions and points of view about the topic the author is talking. Months ago I read a book Claudette Colvin which I did not other books, but I finish the book because I know the by the book about racial segregation. I think reading can help us to get more knowledge. Sometimes we hate to read some books, but every book has some knowledge that we can achieve.

I usually pick book that has good reviews. Also book which is less denser, because I can't stay on focus if the book is too long. When I don't like a book I stop reading that book. Even though it's not a good idea to stop reading at middle of a book. We never know what interesting information we might get if we finish that book we hate. Also it can give us more knowledge and help us to establish new ideas.

I prefer to read a book that I like than the one i do not like.Even i start read ,it is not possible for me to continue at the end of the book. Because I won't understand the reading , so there is not benefited. Read a book is a pleasure than it help you to prove your skill in language. I have hell of a my time to read a book i like instead of the one I dislike .

I think it's difficult to read an entire book that you do not like, either it's because the ideas or the content seems boring. But, it is not impossible even if you think that it is impossible, finish a book you hate. I think the benefits that you can get from a book that you hate is the same that you get from a book you like and It is any idea or feeling that the author is showing us in order to get into its world. Moreover, people would rather read books they like instead of reading books they hate and which would stop them reading easily. Personally, as a non-habit reader, I would not read a book I do not like for the simple fact that I would not end it.

When I read a book that I don’t like I don’t finish it just I read one or two chapters, Because it does not benefit me at all. I will not understand anything. I think that we need to enjoy reading to learn more.
Ramon 3D (YC CLIP)
Reading a book you hate to me there are not any benefits because when you read a book you hate you don’t pay the same attention that you will pay to one that you like to. Doing something that you don’t like to do don’t give you any benefit because nothing is done by force. When you read a book that have the content that you like it give you more motivation to continue reading.

When I started to read something, I try to understand that. Sometimes I feel bored to read, but if I motivate myself to read that, I enjoy it.
I think reading can help us to get more knowledge. Some times we hate to read some books, but every book have some knowledge that we can achieve. I always think reading is similar to a magic, because we never know where or when it will give us benefits. When we read books, we should learn good things not bad things. If we pick good advice from a book, it can change our life in a good way.

Reading books which you don’t like can be boring but at the same time, can be very interesting because it might tell you about topics you know nothing about, and it might also change your opinion about these topics. Moreover, reading books you hate can also help you to think more and develop different opinions and points of view about the topic the author is talking. Months ago, I read a book called The Liars Club, which I didn’t like but I finished reading it anyway. In my future reading life, I would like to read books I enjoy and encourage me to continue reading.
TANIA 3D (YC CLIP)
When I start to read a book and I see that is not interesting I do not keep reading because I do not have the same motivation like when I read books that I like and I think that will be bored but I am wrong because sometimes the books does not even need to be interesting to read it because we also learn that books that are not interesting.
Martha 3D (YC CLIP)
I think when you read book that you hate that’s mean this is not a good idea but if you put yourself in the mind that you have to read a lot of book that you like or hate you have known new vocabulary, new words and new information about another’s book and obviously you will be become a smart person because you more achieve information in your mind than the others.
Jendy 3D (YC CLIP)
I think we need to read the book that we like, because when we read a book that is not an interesting I think does not have the same motivation for read and we can’t finish and probable we drop the book and buy another more interesting to read. I do not think that read since the final to the beginning it will be more interesting the book. Even though when we are in school we have to read a book that we don’t like and when we finish reading nobody pick this kind a book for read again.

I remember that some time ago I chose a book that when I started reading it I did not like it. I did not like the book because I had difficult words to understand and because the style was not mine. After reading this article if I would like in the future to choose a book that I think I will not like because in this article says that when you read something you do not like, you value more what you usually read. I also want to know that I learn by reading something I do not like.

I'd rather read a book that I enjoy rather then forcing myself to read a book that I hate. Reading books that you like have the same benifits as reading books that you don't like.
Destiny (G)
I have not read an entire book that I have not liked. I only would read a few chapters of a book that I didn't like.

I read Haruki Murakami knowing I will hate it. It is actually a masochistic exercise but I can then openly criticize his ugly language and his totally self erotic contents. Reading his books I can confirm further that his writing did not improve at all over the years and can get angry that he uses classic master's images to sound important. Yes, I benefit from reading books which I hate before and after reading...

i don't think there's any benefit to reading books you hate

I read Pamela Paul's article and I largely disagree with her. I think we have all read books that we would otherwise not be interested in, particularly during our school years. But....I read very book I was assigned in school, even if I disliked it, because that's my way. Raised Catholic, I followed rules.... From time to time, now, in my adult life, I will get a book and dislike it and, generally, I still finish all books I start unless I find them objectionable or completely out of my range of interest and boring. I read voraciously - my husband says I devour books, and he's right, I do. There are books I have come across in my life, however, that I have not been able to finish, no matter how hard I've tried - David Copperfield is one of those. I've tried five times and I always put it down.....I just can't get through it and I won't force myself. I'm also not a fan of poetry for some reason, although I read almost all genres, love historical books and novels, and even books on psychology. With life being so busy, and having limited time to read, I will not force myself to finish some books. It's just not worth it. Reading is my passion and I don't want my passion to be unpleasant.
