I do not consider myself a feminist. In today’s society, the word is thrown around left and right. With the connotation of the word today, I truly believe it isn’t about equality to a lot of feminists. They want more rights for women than men in my opinion. I also believe that women and men are equal, or as equal as it can be. I wouldn’t mind if men had a higher place in some things. Men are built for some things and women are built for other things. I’m not saying that it can’t be vice versa, but I am saying that women and men shouldn’t feel pressured into something they don’t want to do.

I feel as if I am a feminist. I consider myself a feminist because I believe women don’t get enough credit. Girls are often told their place is in the kitchen and that’s it. I believe both genders are equal. Girls can do anything boys can and boys can do anything girls can. There should be no restriction on whether a guy can wear makeup or a girl becomes a mechanic. There are no genders assigned to jobs or clothing. If a girl wants to do something that is considered a “man's job” then she should be allowed to. Girls can do anything, anything boys can do. Why do people believe otherwise? Is it because in the past girls were not allowed to do anything but cook? They couldn’t vote as long as men? We are just as equal as any guy who steps foot on this Earth.

No, I am not a feminist. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t have a problem with traditional feminism. I agree with the fact that both genders should have equal rights and should be treated with dignity and respect. But feminism, especially the western kind, has turned into a perversion of this cause, not fighting for equal rights anymore but for the domination of women. A lot of feminist claim the victim status over inexistent issues and tell everyone they are oppressed. What they don’t understand is that women have the same rights as men. Things like the “gender wage gap” and “rape culture” don’t exist. These things have been debunked multiple times, even by women. Women receive the same salary as men for the same amount of work and we don’t live in a society that accepts rape. In fact, a few people have been fined or even went to jail for ape accusations, that were later proven to have been fake. Yet feminists still seek pity, completely ignoring this fact. In my opinion, feminism has reached a nadir. It concentrates on the wrong things, creating issues that never even existed in the first place. Real issues exist in the east, for example in Asia. Women are being mistreated on a daily basis, and they need our help. They need someone to stand up for them. They don’t need a bunch of women whining about how air conditioning is sexist. The movement has so much potential that is being wasted on everyday complaints.

I think that this is an exaggeration...

I agree, constant reminders of feminism should be everywhere. Especially on our phones because that's the "everywhere" we go nowadays. If you want a small thing to raise your kid a feminist, it wont do with a blue easy bake oven set or a tool box instead of Barbie. Believe it or not a tiny yellow icon on a phone could be a daughters small feminism icon. To keep defying old- fashioned stereotypes you could get them a blue phone if you want. I think this is a small step is a good one Apple.

In the past, women were considered inferior to men and had different duties. With the past of time, this bad situation has changed a bit but nowadays a lot of people still think women are different to men.

On the one hand, I think girls have the same intellectual capacities as men and we have a lot of qualities and knowledge. We are more sensitive, intuitive and we have more phsychological maturity than men. For example, we have the ability to do two things at the same time.

On the other hand, women are seen like people who have to do housework. I think this thought is only for people who haven't evolved and I think they live in the past. Girls exist to bring hapiness into the world and we aren't cleaning ladies or another thing like that. We are perfect humans and thanks to us the evolution continues.

In conclusion, women are equal to men and sometimes I think we are better than men. For this reason, I support the feminism a bit and I believe girls are perfect and beautiful human beings.

Many people argue about this statement because currently it becomes an important issue especially for women. For a long time, women are considered inferior to men. Nowadays this trend has decreased but women are still mistreated by male sex. Maybe they are discriminated because of their gender or their physical appearance.
Feminism is a movement which include different people most of them are women who support equal rights for men and women alike.
It seems to me that both genders have to have the same political, social and economic conditions. Some people, think men are better than women in so many aspects, for example they stronger than female sex. But this is completely false. Personally, I think that gender, race, religion or sexuality do not define your qualities or abilities.
Furthermore, in my opinion, all of us have power of our bodies so we can do whatever we want. We're all the same so I strongly agree that women can become who ever they want.
Unfortunately, right now there're also racism between men and women at work: some girls earn less money doing the same job. I feel this is a big injustice, if women do the same job, they should be compensated as others.
To conclude, feminism is getting important and bigger now. I do not consider myself to be a feminist although I agree with a lot of points of this movement.

This is about how woman stand up for them selves even if someone is putting them down showing people (especially men) that there just as strong as them.

This article is about how women and men should have equal rights just like men. I as a high school student don’t believe that I am feminist but I do believe that women are just as strong as men with many things. Everyone should believe that women and men should have the same right but many don’t believe that. Us as women should share the same rights and respect men do, they play an important role in society just as much as they do. Feminist, a woman that believes in equal rights don’t claim they are better than men or above them. Many people disagree and think that woman still belong at home doing all the basic things such as taking care of a baby, doing laundry ,cooking, cleaning etc.

I'm not much of a feminist but all I know is that women have rights to. I feel that women should get the same amount of things as men do such as: money, emoji s, and etc. I just feel that its just unfair to get everything we want then with somethings women cant get that same thing because their a girl. So every person no matter what gender or sexuality their are we should get equal of what ever is offered. That involves money, sports, jobs, anything guys can do basically. Kind of like when women use to not be able to vote but now they can vote all they want and it should stay like that all time.

I’m a middle school student who is a girl I don’t really consider myself as a feminist. Though I do care for women’s right. According to the article it says “Yes, there were women’s faces, and tiny women’s bodies. But for the women actually engaged in an activity or profession, there were only archetypes: the flamenco dancer in her red gown, the bride in her flowing veil, the princess in her gold tiara.” Also “… Where, I wanted to know, was the fierce professor working her way to tenure?” Although yes most women are those things as stated in the article, I would like to disagree because not all women are dancers in flamenco red gown, or the bride in her flowing veil some do work in jobs that men usually do. But I do agree that we need more women in fields of work that are overpowered by men and mostly jobs men would do. But its struggle for women because society thinks women should be wearing makeup and all those things. What we need is to encourage women to go at their dreams of being an engineer or a scientist because society is putting down women saying they can’t make it. I’ve read an article about how women are perceived in a way where they can’t do what men can for Socratic seminar. Also even though women and men should be paid the same amount some business are still paying women less. So yes women should have the same equal rights as men do, we can do anything men can. Again being feminist isn’t a bad thing just don’t go to extreme.

For centuries women are always treated as salves by men. Men think that women have to stay at home and do household work. Men always put barriers such as cultural, social or political for women. Sometimes they do not want women achieve their own goals. I consider myself as a feminist because women are important persona in our society. They can prove that they are not useless and can work with men shoulder to shoulder. Unfortunately, the society does not think that. If women are doing well, they have to go through lots of difficult situation which men do not have to go through. Nowadays, women show that they are equal and more effective than men in everything. I believe that women can solve their problems that they are facing in the society. They can achieve success in this matter by fighting for their equal rights and respect from the society.

I do consider myself as a feminist because I believe women are more powerful then men. Even thought women have equal rights as men but still somewhere it's missing. Some people still consider women as a lower position on the society. It's easy to say men and women are equal but it hard to prove because, if you don't accept something from your heart then there is no value to say it. If we say women have equal rights then we have to support it at any situation. Moreover,I believe a successful woman has the ability to change the world positively by her creative thinking.
Nasiba3D (YC CLIP)
I consider myself a feminist, not only because I'm a women but because I believe in equal rights and treatment of both and any genders. Being a feminist doesn't mean you only support women and that women should be better, but rather that you support both genders. Emojis and other little things like that can either help to improve or downgrade our society. So yes there should be more emojis of women, for fun and to show equality and respect. People should be accepting of those changes; not just reading articles and agreeing but also to actually work towards improving the situation.
Marie 3D (ycclip)
I consider myself as a feminist because I am certainly sure that economic, politic, and social inequalities I believe in equal rights between both man and woman. Both have right to do what they want without disturbing the society. They have to support each other in everything, one is complement the other.
Nayana 3D (YC CLIP)
I consider myself a feminist because I am also a woman. I believe we should have the same equal rights as a man because of women also play an important role in the world. Women have tiny bodies but women are capable and are just as good as men. They work profession activities political, economic, and social events but still fighting for getting equality of men. Women despite playing an important role in the everyday life, their capabilities are still undermined. Women are always throughout history regarded in a lower status than men. We as women are not seen as equal so we should stick together prove them, they are wrong.

As a women I consider myself I am feminist because women are continue their struggle establish for their rights and opportunity .Every people should believe that man and women have equal rights opportunity. In addition, both man and women have political, economic, social equality of sexes .Now a days every stage of life women showing their credit very bravely such as political, social, economical.in this reading author represent his opinion with women’s discrimination symbol of Emoji.
nurun 3D (ycclip)
In my opinion, I consider myself as a feminist because as a woman I can understand how women are still struggling for their rights. In this article author talks about women's rights in the social media. There are not a lot emojis for women that's represents women. However, this attitude leads discrimination to women and the emojis are a symptoms of that. But we have to improved our mentality, and we should also judge the man and women equal.
Carly Cashatt (Fort Mill, SC)
I believe that i am a feminist. I think that women deserve all the same things and rights as a man, this also brings up more rights and issues with the LGBT community, they just like women also deserve rights, and now a days the government is trying to stop gay couples from adopting barbecue they are "Unfit!" worry about your own life and stop trying to serpress others rights.

I'm a feminist. I believe in equality between both sexes. We all have the same right of opportunity to work the same as we have the greatest strength and the power to do it.

Women have always been treated as slaves and discriminated in generations by generations by men; especially just for the necessities of the home and the care of the children. Through different systems, man has always kept barriers to women, so that they do not have the opportunity to reach high positions in society. I have never been in agreement with this type of philosophy, since women have the same capacity both intellectual and physical, and also have been shown that in many occasions a little more than man. Nowadays women have been able to demonstrate their abilities, they have achieved to high positions such as governmental, social, religious, etc. It is time for women to be liberated from this type of slavery in this twenty-first century am very against feminine discrimination because we have the same capacities that the man whether intellectual or physical.

A feminist is someone who supports equal rights for women. In my opinion i think women supposed to have the same political, social, and economic rights as men. Nowadays women are discriminated on so many points because of their gender, and also their physical appearance. They always think women are not strong enough or unequal physically, educationally and mentally, but it's completely false. According to my experience and observation ,women can do better than men on so many aspects. They have a great impact on our society, and without women, men are nothing.,they are the ones who educated men and they are strong physically. in addition, i consider myself like a feminist and will always fight for their right because ,i believe they are more sensitive, better listener and thinker. they have the power to bring more solutions for the problems our society is facing nowadays, and i'm ready to support any equality movement and revolution they organize.

I consider myself a feminist. I believe that it’s your life and your body, you can do whatever you like .If you want to be a house wife , office worker ,style model , actor go and doing it. No matter your race, sexuality, gender, religion or physical or mental disabilities .There is no question of being man or women, we are all equal.

We are all the same in life. I believe that women have to have the same rights as men. In life you do what want. In society the people have create a divisions between man and woman it’s time that everyone is equal, I agree that woman become who they wants.

I consider myself a feminist because women are an important part of our society. Throughout the years, women have demonstrated their progress on their social, economic and political achievement. Even though a man has been treated with more importance than a woman, I think both women and men deserve to be treated with equal value. Unfortunately, the society still considers more valuable the work of a man rather than a woman.

Wouldn't it make more sense to just make emojis asexual instead of having a male plus a female version for each one?
Have them represent mood, emotion, activity or whatevervits meant for. Don't limit it to one sex represented over the other.
Bot every field is a battlefield for gender fender benders.

If I consider myself feminist since I left a beautiful woman and fighter I consider myself a feminist because also because women are the greatest pride, if the woman the truth is not as the world funcionaria.la woman is the one who builds a woman's home Can be father and mother at the same time that is something that a man cannot do. The woman is a wonderful being who at the same time is a fighter. When one says the word woman is something incredibly beautiful woman, woman is the one who brings the children to the world, woman is the one who educates the children woman is everything in the world and son. I consider myself a feminist because I was born of a woman who is a bastard and a trifler who is my mother. Every woman brings her children with a lot of effort, which only makes a woman the most beautiful thing the world has.
Jendy 3D (YC CLIP)
I consider myself a feminist, because I understand that every woman has the same right as men to do or choose what she wants to do in life. We have seen how women entrepreneurs have emerged over the years because they decided to make a change in their lives and the lives of other women.

In my opinion, Girls need to know that being a feminist is a good thing. It doesn’t mean that you hate men. It means equal rights. If you are doing the same job you should be compensated and treated in the same way. I think women should have equal rights but I didn’t involve anywhere and I am not doing anything for it so I would not consider myself a feminist. That’s why I will say for myself is No. I hope you’ll like my opinion. Thank you for read my comment.

Nowadays there is much talk about feminism, I honestly think that feminism is the same as the machismo is a sexist word; I like equality, equity, respect and freedom. Contrary to what a lot of people Believe, feminism does not proclaim that women are above men or have more rights than men. What feminists seek is equality in rights between men and women. Which is for what they oppose to consideration of women as being disabled before men.. But many people have transformed its true meaning is for this that I prefer to use other words to express my desire for equality.

I think that feminism in the world is getting bigger. Women have awakened and we demand the same rights. In ancient times women were considered only to be in the house and not to work. Now women have shown that we are sometimes much more effective than men and that is why today March 8 the woman celebrate her day. Happy day to all women of the world.!

I consider myself to be a feminist because I think the woman is very strong and smart like a man. The society needs that the two genders work together, but in equal condition for a better world. Nevertheless in this moment we can see the racism between women and man because many company prefers to give a job for a man. This reason is because in the present the woman still looks like the person who need to take care of the baby for a long time and they have no other option to be at home when you are pregnant.
Elia 3D (YC-CLIP)
Today is an international women’s Day, and yes I am feminism. I think all people are equal. We have the same rights and obligations. Men and women have the same ability to perform any job. All women should feel free to choose the life that they want. They should be respected in all their decision.
lina3d (YC - CLIP)
Yes I am consider feminist because I have the same rights that the men, like culture economic and etc. I can express freely my feelings and i decide wherever I want to do in my life with respect the other people.

I think that if I accept the liberation of women in society and their free expression considers me feminist, then I am. Why? The oppression of the feminine sex has been devalued in the past centuries, without knowing that women are even superior to the men, and it reminds me the quote that I read by William Golding who says “I think women are foolish to pretend they are equal to men, they are far superior and always have been.” Actually, we see how women are more successful than men, even though the rate of women that have been graduated from college exceeds that of men, and even knowing this, men want to oppress her anyway. There is a long road for women to go and overcome all of those barriers in the society such as, religious, economy, and cultural. But, oppressing them leads us to nothing because we are beings with the same rights.
