ok, so you can subscribe to Wordplay now...but how? I have 31cents a week to spend on it and I have enough time to figure out a few words but it's hard as hell to figure out how to subscribe and access the spelling bee (daily, it claims). Thoughts?????

I also had REHAB and HEWER as well as CHACHA.
Don't much like 'rehat' and 'rehear'
Interesting that two French words are considered.

And it's a soccer ball, NOT a beehive! (Exbeekeeper)

Spelling Bee is so fun. thank you for publishing this feature in the paper. We also came up with "rechew" (yup, it appeared in the dictionary) and "Hebrew," if allowed. We dont know if it counts as a proper name if used as an adjective, such as "Hebrew language."

My take: since it is capitalized, I consider it a proper noun. I don't think we'd see it UNcapitalized, as your post illustrates.
Do you have a lot of snow today?

Does anyone know points for genious?

O no

I have no idea why curious, precious, and obvious have the O and genius doesn't-- just another one of those rogue bits of orthography.

P.S. It's happening again!
My last Comment did not go up, so after a few minutes I re-entered it.
Now it's up there TWICE.

Hi Jerrold,

It sometimes takes time for comments to publish, so yes, if you enter your comment twice within a few minutes it will go up twice.

The best thing to do is to wait at least a half hour. If it hasn't published by then, it might be held for further moderation.

[SPOILER ALERT}

Thanks again, Noel!
I've got it all now, due to your hint, and a revisit to that "hair iron" article on Wikipedia. A more careful reading of that article gave me the word that intersects both MARGO and AMIGO.

This time I looked over that "hair iron" article more carefully, and found the word that intersects both MARGO and AMIGO.

Well, I'm up to 12 words in the Bee, but still can't 'see' the 3 pt-er.
Projectors much easier this round.

Spoiler Alert

Wanted LIMBER for the Rockettes, but with the G, it had to be LEGGY.

The 3-pointer came late. Think compound...
Mean Old Lady (Conway, Arkansas)
I am doing that, but WHERE CARE just doesn't have that zing....or the B

MOL - maybe you need to relax by the seaside...

It seems that “Projectors” is getting harder all the time.
But after all, a challenge is what we’re here for.

[SPOILER ALERT]

This time around, I have six of the words, five of them pretty much gimmes. (I searched for MARGO.)
But I tried many arrangements already, and I still cannot put them together.

The second column obviously has to be either MARGO or AMIGO, and I have tried both of them in vain. Being a single man, I don’t know anything about curling irons, and Wikipedia was of no help.

Like a Rockette. AGILE? It still does not help.

Are other people here having the same problem?
Any hints?
Jerrold (New York, NY)
Coming to think of it, a female friend would be AMIGA, but that would affect only the name of the movie, not any of the other words.
This darn thing is driving me nuts!
Noel (Albuquerque)
What extremities are the Rockettes agile with?
Jerrold (New York, NY)
THANKS!

I really look forward to these puzzles. They are satisfying to solve, each in their own peculiar way. The three pointer I found for the Spelling Bee was apropo for me as I start my second month of winter respite on South Padre Island.
