Greys Anatomy & Vampire Diaries –
I absolutely love these two shows! The characters are full of character and feeling and sense and everything that is in the best shows!!! The story lines are totally believable and there are sad parts, funny parts, intense moments, and refreshing insights...just everything I love in a great show. The emotions the characters express are so real. I There are enough surprises to keep you guessing, but enough stability to keep me coming back to watch the next episode. These both shows are absolutely mesmerizing! I cannot wait for the next season to begin and my mom and sister loves it too. All my Friends love the show too and we watch it and look forward to discussing all the parts the next day at school. This show is irresistible...so if you haven't watched the first season...you should watch it!

How to get away with murder & Scandal –

These are the most interracial show ever made, seems to be the main theme of the serial. But the plot takes the cherry. The twists through-out the two shows are simply hypnotizing. Even though it is slow at the start, the end pays it off with interest. It seems to have been made with a message of women, gay and other empowerment and is not at all subtle about it. The Director of both shows work is impeccable. I can't remember the last time I failed to identify the killer beforehand. The directors would amaze everyone with the brilliant work. "How to get away with murder" & “Scandal”, there could not be a better title than this. So, watch it right now, bear first few episodes with patience, then drown in its magic. Great Show!!

I personally have way too many favorite tv shows such as Supernatural, Greys Anatomy, and The Vampire Diaries. These are also the shows that I have currently been watching because their new seasons have aired or are about to air soon. I continue to watch these tv shows which honestly have me addicted because I also got my mom into watching these shows and it lets us talk about and bond too. Also because they are super suspenseful and it makes me keep on watching. I usually watch the first episode in order to tell if I like it or not. Tv is honestly an important part of my life because because of the tv shows it allows me to bond with my siblings, we talk about our favorite characters or favorite scenes. I do look forward to watching my favorite tv shows because of how dramatic and awesome each episode is, they each have their own creativity.
Jennifer Ramos (CA)
Some of my favorite TV shows ever are Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel .The Vampire Diaries I love that show and Pretty Little Liars,Once Upon a Time,Criminal Minds are just some of my favorite shows ever. I love all of these because they keep me on the edge of my seat and have great plots and I love the characters. At the one of my all time shows just came to an end which is The Vampire Diaries. But the show that is also coming to an end is Pretty Little Liars which last episodes will start on Apr.18.Yes I do find myself looking forward to get home and watch my TV shows. I don’t think TV is really a huge important part of my life because most of my TV shows have like a space between them so it not like I am in my TV all day. Most of the time I pick them out by how popular they are and on the thoughts of others in the show.

I am watching a lot of tv shows at once. Such as, "VeggieTales in the City, The Aquabats Super Show, Raising Hope, Milo Murphey's Law, and Studio C". I think that these shows are binge-worthy. VeggieTales in the City is a show that I watch on Sundays and sometimes in my free time because it is religious (available on Netflix). The Aquabats Super Show is a hilarious tv show about superheroes (available on Netflix). Raising Hope is such a funny series because it is about poor people raising a child (available on Netflix). Milo Murphy's Law follows a young boy who is accident prone (not available on Netflix[yet]). Studio C is like SNL but clean and way funnier. You can binge watch all the episodes on byutv.org, click on shows, click on Studio C, Click Season 1, watch all day. These are good shows. I love them.

My favorite binge-worthy TV show would be "The Vampire Diaries." It includes my favorite well-known characters, Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev. I have been watching it every Friday with my mom since I was ten years old. I keep watching it because every episode is incredibly suspenseful, then it leaves you on a cliff hanger and you just need to know what happens next so you continue to watch it. Watching it is like a drug once you start you can't stop. So my favorite binge-worthy TV show would be "The Vampire Diaries."

Often enough, I do not find myself watching television. My time is dedicated to other activities and time is limited. Although when I do get the chance I catch myself scrolling through different channels. Television can teach our generation any lessons. It's wether you can sense the meaning behind it or come to the conclusion of what they are trying to tell you. Many life lessons are being portrayed through popular shows for an audience to watch. I usually watch Stranger Things or anything that catches my attention. Watching TV is not something I will always look forward to. It's not a big aspect of my life although I turn to it for entertainment. I find some TV shows based on the channels I scroll through. Sometimes I get recommendations from friends or what not. Watching something off a screen can really change your opinions on life, because it is what most kids keep their eyes glued to. Each one of us watches our own unique shows which can resort to teaching valuable lessons.

I am not an avid watcher of television. I generally don’t have the free time to sit down and binge watch a series. However, when I am given the opportunity to do so, the shows I watch are usually animated. As an aspiring artist, I tend to be more interested in them, though I’ve heard promising things about some live action series. However, it’s difficult to find animated shows that can keep my interest, as most are aimed towards younger children and have very simplistic plots and characters. Yet, when done correctly, they can be absolute masterpieces.
僕だけがいない街, or the The Town Where Only I Am Missing (the animated series) is an example of such, as well as my favorite television series of all time. It steers away from the tired cliches and pandering/fan-service that unfortunately plague many Japanese animated shows. The Town Where Only I Am Missing is a suspense filled psychological drama, involving child abduction, child abuse, murder, supernatural occurrences, strong parental figures, moral values, and friendships, with an equally strong emphasis on characters and plot. It’s smart and wonderful, and manages to masterfully tell a complex story in only twelve episodes. I wholeheartedly recommend it anyone.

I did try my luck with Watching. The guide recommended me shows such as "Gossip Girl", "Friends", and "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and movies such as "Say Anything". In summary, although watching TV is not my top priority, I do enjoy the time I have with them.

In the article "TV's New Golden Age" David Carr talks about the number of shows he watches, all those shows reduced his reading time. I'm in the same position as David Carr because of all the TV shows I watch, I no longer have time to read books for fun. Some people will tell me to stop watching TV but I don't want to miss my favorite TV show House, M.D. House, M.D. is written by real doctors who have seen and diagnosed these cases. Greg House is the main character in the show. House believes that everyone lies, he doesn't like meeting his patients, his team like they are idiots, and he isn't afraid to break the rules, basically House is a jerk. House only takes cases that seem usual and impossible to solve (he will solve them)...he may be a jerk, but he is an amazing doctor. I really like this show provides medical mystery and accurate information. Everyday at 8 p.m. I am so eager to watch House, M.D. I really don't watch anything besides House, M.D., but if I did I would decide which show I want by reading the small summary on Netflix.
Becky (Hoboken, NJ)
My favorite TV show of all time, is not my favorite because I currently enjoy watching it the most, but because it has impacted my life the most. That show is "The Big Bang Theory." I have been watching it for a decade, since I was five years old, so, as you'd expect, it has had an affect on who I am as a person. Even at a very young age, I always felt like I had different interests than the other kids, and I was a little bit of a misfit. TBBT introduced me to other people like me, and made it cool. I should probably mention, that I am in no way a genius, but the characters' love of science and all around nerdiness really rubbed off on me, and that is why I want to be a scientist.

Since a TV show has affected my life so much, I do watch other shows. A show that I am currently really enjoying watching on Netflix is "Merlin." I used to watch it on cable, but it was canceled a few years ago, and I remembered loving it so much, that I wanted to rewatch it. Enough time has passed, that I don't remember most of the events, and can still enjoy it, as if watching it through new eyes. I definitely do look forward to to when I have free time, so I can watch more.

Most shows that I start to watch, I watch because it was recommended to me by a friend or family member, or it is really popular at the time and I want to see what all the hype is about. Not so much with TV shows, but with movies, I do often turn to online sources to decide on what to watch. The guide looks very helpful.

When I was younger like 9 or 10 I would always watch T.V. like the next day would be the end of the world. I would always watch the usual either it was Disney Channel or Nickelodeon, but as I grew older I started to have other interests. In the present now, as it said in the article we watch a lot of Netflix. I watch many shows on my phone or laptop, then I do on a T.V. Now I watch many shows such as "How to Get Away with Murder", "Young and Hungry", "The Arrow" and the best of all "Grey's Anatomy". One of my lifetime favorites would be Grey's Anatomy, and as speaking of the show, I was watching earlier today. Grey's Anatomy and with my love for science is one of the reasons why I'm a Biomed major today.
As a student in love with science, I've grown to love more of biology in the section of general science. In Grey's Anatomy I see, even though it's all acting, many types of surgeries that have come to be real life cases. I get to see through out the show how everything seems to get done in a surgical wing of a hospital. I got to see from trauma patients to patients that have come in from accidents. That would be my love for that particular show out of the rest. I would recommend it to many people and rate it 5 stars, it's not only science, but the drama of it all. Going back to the other shows, they're not science, but they are great shows that also would be rated 5 stars. They have comedy, drama, and romance and so these are my favorite shows, I hope you can see them too.

Some of my other favorite shows include “Freaks and Geeks,” which the Times recommends and describes as “a painfully earnest and bitingly humorous teen drama” and “Stranger Things,” which is a very suspenseful thriller, sci-fi series. I think a big reason why I love these shows and why they make me so happy is because I become emotionally invested in the characters. So, it’s almost like getting to watch them is as refreshing as it is to catch up with a good friend. I believe that looking forward to watching these shows at the end of the day are what keep me motivated to get through it! When I watch these shows, it’s an opportunity to take a break and forget all of the worries and responsibilities of my own life, and pretend like I’m a part of another.
It’s almost like a psychological phenomenon that since I love these shows and characters so much, I’ve come to associate them with happiness and so I rely on TV to make me happy when I need it. I can honestly say that if I didn’t have my favorite shows, I don’t know where I’d be.
I would agree with David Carr that this is “TV’s New Golden Age,” since there are so many good options out there nowadays. As a guide for what TV show to watch according on my mood, The New York Times’ Watching recommends “Stranger Things” to me (which I’ve already watched on Netflix three times!).

(Part 1)
Television has become such an incredibly significant aspect of not only our society today, but also our personal lives; I’d say that I couldn’t imagine my life without it. I rely a very large majority of my life on TV and I believe this has been the case even from a young age. For as long as I can remember, it’s been a tradition that every night after I finish my homework, I must allot time to watch at least some TV before going to bed. Although I admit this seems excessive, I believe I need it because TV helps me unwind at the end of the day in a way that anyone would unwind before bed. Often, my days are very long and mentally draining, and since TV always makes me feel better when I’m unhappy or stressed, I need to watch it at the end of the day in order to destress and go to bed happy. A lot of the TV shows I watch are feel-good comedies, such as “The Office,” “Parks and Recreation,” or “How I Met Your Mother.” I rewatch these over and over again and they still never fail to put me in a good mood.

Many teenagers and children tend to watch shows during their free time, including myself. Personally, my favorite TV show would have to be "Gilmore Girls." Because the show is mainly about a mother/daughter relationship, I enjoy watching it with my own mom. We are very close, similar to the mother and daughter in the show. the daughter in the show, Rory, also reminds me a lot of myself. She is very intelligent, takes school seriously, attends a better school than her hometown one, knows what she wants to do with her life, and, obviously, is close to her mom. Rory also motivates and inspires me in many different ways. She always puts her education first and has her mind set on attending an Ivy League school, like Harvard, which pushes me to do the same. She also does a lot of writing since she wants to study journalism in college. This has inspired me to do the same and start writing, which caused me to discover a love for it. Some other shows I'm currently watching are "Young and Hungry" and "Dance Academy". I do find myself looking forward to watching my TV shows, especially after a long day at school. Although it is not my first priority, I do enjoy the time when I can sit down and binge-watch a series. I normally decide want to TV shows to watch by recommendations from family and friends, and continue watching if it involves something I'm interested in or can relate to. I also enjoy older TV shows, mostly from the '80s or '90s.

As I got older I realized I don't have much interest in TV shows, and if I do, I usually have no time to complete them fully. But if I do, I tend to be open minded and explore other TV shows in different languages, and cultures, just as an experiment. I like to test the waters a lot, because I seem to get bored easily with shows. For instance, I have watched Korean, Japanese, or Indian tv shows before, not forgetting the American shows, like America's Next Top Model, The Flash, and Fuller house. I found shows like these that capture my interest the most, due to their comedy or the complexity of their plots. On the other hand shows like, America's Next Top Model have been with me since I was nearly four years old, and till this day teach me more and more about the modeling and fashion industry. I currently, don't have much time to watch some TV so whenever I can, I try to catch up with at least these three. I normally decide to watch TV shows depending on their gene, I usually am in for the comedy and the shows that have me glued to my seat on the first episode. I definitely recommend going outside of your regular TV watching experience and opening yourself up to new TV experiences, for example a Korean Drama I enjoy is Love O2O, or Tokyo Ghoul. There are a lot of options for your entertainment, you just have to open yourself up to them.

I've always appreciated television shows with amazing character development with intense plots. An example of this is a show called Mad Men. You watch a previously shy secretary break out of her shell and have amazing career. You watch a little girl grow up and make mistakes. While you watch these amazing people mature you get to watch compelling drama. This is all set in the 1960's and eventually the 1970's so you get to see important movements of the time play out. The show has several episodes predominately feature the racial movements of the times. The main character, Don, also goes through a divorce and remarries. Through this exchange you watch the transition of the "woman" of the time. You go from seeing a housewife to a woman who works alongside her husband. You watch the social climate change and the characters in the show change with. Although I see these big parts of the such the most important there are also small things that really matter too. Another good thing about Mad Men was that it was paced well. You watched things happen at a speed that wasn't boring but also didn't seem rushed. pacing is something important that makes a show easy and enjoyable to watch. It's a combination of big plot points and little details that make a show truly great. I can only hope shows like Mad Men keep being created.

2017, what a time to be alive, if you are anything like me you have piles of stress building up over school work, social life, and so much more. I find that one of the best ways to escape all of my troubles and stress, even for a short period of time is through TV. My taste in TV can range from shows such as “The Walking Dead” to “Sherlock” or even the classic 90’s comedy “Friends”. As this article states, “Sometimes it’s good to get advice on what to watch next since there is so much good TV being made these days.” I couldn't agree more with this. Most of my favorite shows were recommended to me, for example, “The Walking Dead” was a recommendation from my brother. “Friends” was coincidentally a recommendation from many different friends. These shows are all great for many reasons, but the one thing that they all have in common is that they are entertaining. This being said, I do look forward to watching TV. I feel as though it has impacted me as a person, especially when I was young, and that it has taught me valuable life lessons about morals along with numerous other essential life skills.

I often find myself binge-watching new shows, however, rarely do I discover a television show that captures my attention unlike any other. I must give credit, nonetheless, to Grey’s Anatomy for truly captivating me throughout its abundance of episodes. Despite the multitudinous amount of television shows that i've seen in the past 14 years, I would still name Grey's Anatomy as my favorite.
Grey’s Anatomy is a medical drama that revolves around Meredith Grey, an aspiring surgeon. Throughout the seasons, Grey tackles personal and professional hurdles, regarding her love life, social life, and surgical life.
I, myself, am an aspiring surgeon, despite my young age. I compare myself to some of the female characters in Grey’s Anatomy such as Grey and Christina. I look up to these characters as they march through the medical world, side-by-side, maintaining their fierce, strong, and intelligent disposition. I am aware that Grey’s Anatomy does not present the true reality of a life as a surgeon, however, it provides me with determined women to look up to as I foresee my medical oriented future. It is the topic of the show that draws me in more than anything. I have developed a personal connection to the characters and their stories because of my interest in surgery.
Similarly to how the article, What Are Your Favorite TV Shows?, had suggested television shows to its readers according to their mood, I suggest Greys Anatomy for those who crave drama, love, and a medical story-line.

TV. It is such an amazing thing, isn’t it? There are so many TV shows that interested you that you don’t know which one to watch first. My favorite TV shows ever are The Flash, Code Geass, and Death Note. I am more of a sci-fi kind of guy and that explains why I love The Flash. The show is always full surprises, and the parts where they explain the science behind some scene just fascinates me. It is probably one of the main reasons why I chose Biomed as my major. Moving on, Code Geass by far is the best show I have ever watched in my life. The whole plot and the character development is so perfect that it is hard to find a way to hate the show. There is never a dull moment in any of the episodes and everything that the main character does is jaw-dropping. The next show that I want to talk about is Death Note. This show is about the world’s greatest detective chasing down a serial killer that kills people by writing their names inside a notebook. Watching the two of them battle is incredible, and the ending leaves you wanting for more. The way that I select what shows to watch is by asking my friends if they enjoyed them or by looking at the ratings. The author of article, “What Are Your Favorite TV Shows,” said, “Sometimes it's good to get advice on what to watch next since there is so much good TV being made these days.” I totally agree with what Michael Gonchar is saying because this is the golden era of TV.

We as humans in this current age are always looking for new ways to entertain s ourselves, for example television. I have watch numerous televisions shows, and a couple of my favorite shows are The Flash, and Arrow. These shows are one of my favorite shows because they are always suspenseful, and the always leave you wanting more. I love superheros, and when I was little I always played superhero games, and one of my favorite players in the game was the flash. So I have always liked the flash and when I found out that they were making a show, I flipped out. Then after I discovered The Flash, I discovered, Arrow, and I'm still watching these shows. I’m always looking forward to watching these shows, as stated in the article this is “TV’s New Golden Age,” we have thousands of amazing TV shows. TV watching isn’t a bit important, but I love watching, television shows, they’re a passion of mine, but they aren’t extremely important to me, like I can probably survive without them. I usually watch television shows based on the genre that I most like, which is sci-fi, or comedy. Television isn’t for entertainment, it can also be a source of relief or a source of inspiration ion and relaxation. Overall TV shows are great for the world and they make the world go round.

My favorite shows at the moment are La Nina, Jane the Virgin, and Once Upon a Time. La Nina is a more serious TV show about the guerrilla in Colombia, Jane the Virgin is a more comedic show, and Once upon a time is a show about fantasy and fairy tale. I recommend these shows to everyone, because they are great shows and are extremely binge-worthy. I always look forward to the weekend because that is when I am allowed to watch TV. I love watching Tv and netflix because it is such a great way to relax. I usually watch these shows with my parents because they have the same taste in shows as me. It is a fun way to end your day.

Plopping down on your couch with a giant tub of ice cream in front of your tv on a Friday night, sound familiar? We are all guilty of doing this at least once. Personally, I head straight for Netflix or my DVR to start catching up on any missed episodes I couldn’t watch during the week. Currently, I have quite a few series that I watch but some of my top favorites are, Gossip Girl, Pretty Little Liars, Stranger Things, and Fuller House. Each series has something very unique to it that grabs my attention and makes me want to binge-watch some more after just one episode. Also, because some of the shows are in the ‘drama’ genre, it makes the show even more exciting with its action-packed storyline. I’m always left speechless after one episode and I just get so anxious for the next that I just have to watch it and I know with many, many of us that we always say “this will just be my last episode” or “just one more”, but then we find ourselves three seasons later into the series. I always look forward to watching my shows on the weekend, it’s like a nice way for me to calm my body down from all the stress it has been through the entire week.
AleemaABEL7 (High Tech high School)
In addition to my first paragraph, I personally it’s a yes from me that watching tv is an important part of life and plus you can also learn a lot from watching tv, in my opinion of course. The way I decide on what show to watch next is generally not based on my mood sometimes, because I would just be scrolling through Netflix and then land on a series, read its’ description and if I don’t like it I will keep scrolling or if I do then I will just be like “hey why not give it a go?”. Each show that I watch has a purpose to me and that’s why I do continue to watch them.

Well, I have no specific TV shows in mind in this days, but I could remember Opera Winfrey TV shows was my favorite one when I was in my teenage ages. Certainly, Opera shows cast and shed a light on the contagious issues that spread throughout the society that the majority of medias haven't yet discussed them deeply. Opera has preformed a hundreds of shows that revolve around a variety and tremendous numbers of topics. Many teenagers spend there time in front of screens all day, whether it's the phone, computer, TV, etc. Even though this is not good for us teens we continue doing it each and every day. We would want to watch TV, but the problem is we don't know what to watch. As the article says" Sometimes it's good to get advice on what to watch next since there is so much good TV being made these days." Some recommendations for shows to watch are the flash, dance moms, Jane the virgin, arrow, etc. These shows are very entertaining and find quite interesting. My personal favorite show is the flash because every episode is intense and there's never a dull moment, if you like shows like this watch it or even arrow. To watch these shows you could use your cable, obviously or Netflix or Hulu. Enjoy watching TV with some ice cream or something it won't hurt :)

To be completely honest, I never used to watch TV when I was younger. I always thought there was no point in sitting on the couch for hours staring at a screen. Although, now that I've gotten older, the TV shows have become to have actual meaning and learning experiences. Not so long ago, one of my friends showed me the first episode of my first Netflix series, Grey's Anatomy. As the article stated, "Sometimes it's good to get advice on what to watch next since there is so much good TV being made these days," which I completely agree with. If it wasn't for my friend, I wouldn't have learned some of the lessons I carry on with me today. From that moment she showed me the first episode, I was absolutely obsessed. I finished the whole entire show (twelve seasons, with 20 to 25 episodes in each that was 45 minutes long) in under four months. It's about surgeons and their daily lives working in the hospital. Believe it or not, Grey's Anatomy made me realize how much I love biology. It was part of the reason I chose BioMedical science as my High Tech major. Now I know that might seem a bit weird, because it is a TV show, but everything was so realistic that I could just imagine myself making all those cuts and taking care of all those patients. I've learned so many lessons from Grey's Anatomy: You’ll never learn if you don’t try, everyone deserves to know the truth, always expect the unexpected, and don't be afraid to be afraid. Grey’s Anatomy will always be my favorite TV show.
VeeranNBEL3 (High Tech High School)
I definitely watch a lot of TV, possibly too much... Among my favorites are Grey's Anatomy, Glee, and Gossip Girl. All these shows have messages that can be applied to real life. Glee and Gossip Girl are about teenagers attempting to balance their school and social lives (with drama of course). In Grey's Anatomy, Meredith Grey balances her life as a surgeon while taking care of three children and going through the deaths/disappearance of most of her friends and family. I think TV influences the public a lot.

In our generation we tend to be very attached to very popular shows. Many teenagers my age get entertained with these shows. Just like others I have many shows that I watch and that I love. One of the shows that I am currently watching is called Grey’s Anatomy. This show is very intense and interesting. Every episode either makes me cry or laugh and they’re all very suspenseful. I think the reason why our generation cares so much about these types of shows is because we get very attached to all the characters and the plot of the show. The show may not be based on real events or people but the intense, and interesting plot makes us attached to the characters.
Briana J. (High Tech High School)
My favorite TV shows ever are Pretty Little Liars, Gossip Girl, The Secret Life of the American Teenager, and American Horror Story. I love these shows because they are so suspenseful, drama-filled, and action-packed. That's what gets me to watch certain shows. Besides those shows I am watching Supernatural and Criminal Minds. I do look forward to the things that I watch because the shows are good, and they appeal to me. Watching these shows aren't that big of a part of my life, but some of the things that do go on in the shows teach valuable lessons. I decide watch to watch based on how I'm feeling and if I am almost done with all the seasons/episodes or not. I for the most part pick shows that are binge-worthy and have a lot of drama and horror in them. BEL.

With so much tension in today's society, television can be a great stress reliever by virtue of the many sitcoms that we have the option of watching today. Among the many comedic sitcoms, my favorites of all time are "King of Queens" and "Good Luck Charlie", which are old but I still enjoy today. This is because these sitcoms provide good and clean humor for society. The criteria for which I pick my television shows is based around humor. I always look forward to watching these shows when I get home for the stress relief and the humor they provide. Another TV show I'm watching today is "Tom and Jerry". I really enjoy this show for its harmless portrayal of humor. This is another one of my all-time favorite shows.
According to the article "What Are Your Favorite TV shows", the show for me would be Freaks and Geeks. This is because the article claims that this is a teen comedy which would go perfect with my criterias for picking out a show filled with humor. I really found this article helpful because it helped me to pick out a new show for me to watch on a regular basis.

In the current times we live in, people learn from an alternative way of education, Television. Whether it be from watching either Netflix, Hulu, or just any show that interests them. We are tied to our shows emotionally, psychologically, and sometimes even physically. Truly I have a connection to my shows as if I’m part of their reality. Recent shows I’ve seen are The Flash and Timeless, both pertaining to science fiction mysteries. Timeless is a show about time travelers who go back in time to maintain history by stopping an enemy from changing it. Every time they explain the science behind a scene or when they reference history, it expands my knowledge. Not only have these shows taught me, but they have also shown me they are real-people with actual experiences similar to me. Television is not only observed as entertainment, it is seen as an escape from the real world, a way to enhance one’s imagination. Some parents may see television as a waste of time for their children but in truth it actually helps their children learn and view things that they would never see in their real life. As referenced in the article, we are said to be in “TV’s Golden Age”, knowing this makes me realize the amount of content is unlimited. From the vast expanse of genres we can choose the perfect show that suits us and gives us what we expect to receive from watching television. In summary, I think that shows were created for a sole purpose, to please the viewer in whatever way possible.

Out of all the TV shows I have ever watch, I would have to say my favorite is Spongebob Squarepants. Yes, I am a 5-year-old in a 14-year-olds body. I've always found Spongebob so stupid that it's funny. I can always look forward to being thoroughly entertained even though I have probably seen that episode 100 million times. But in a way watching episodes of Sponge bring back happy memories from my childhood. Whenever I'm with my dad is normally when I watch TV and he still watches it with me every weekend when I'm with him. So not only am I entertained by it, it brings back happy childhood memories that I can never forget.

I generally don't watch TV, since I prefer to read books, but there are a few shows that I enjoy watching. There are three shows that I love the most and they are Supernatural, Doctor Who, and Sherlock. I think these shows are great because they have mystery, adventure, and monsters/aliens. Not only do these shows provide epic stories, but they also provide lessons in some ways. I love these three shows so much that I often find myself quoting them or making jokes and references that usually no one understands. I usually end up laughing by myself, but I don't mind.
As stated in the article "Sometimes it’s good to get advice on what to watch next." I agree with this because I think that having a friend recommend something is a great thing, but I also think finding a great show on your own is better. I started watching Supernatural, Doctor Who, and Sherlock all on my own. I look forward to these shows because they have great characters and plots. Not to mention that 50% of my sense of humor is revolved around those three shows. Although TV watching isn't as important to me as other things, I do think that it can have some good effects. For some people, watching a show is like reading a book, it takes them away to another universe and lets them forget about their own troubles and worries for a while. TV shows, whether they're fictional, fantasy, or documentaries, can teach life lessons though the progression of the story, and through character development, just like a book can.

Although watching TV is not my main priority, I do enjoy watching my favorite shows when I have the time. My top shows are The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Grey's Anatomy, Dance Moms, and Once Upon a Time, but Grey's Anatomy is defiantly my number 1 show. All of those shows come in different genres, which tells me that I don't have a specific taste in shows. These are all shows that I am watching at the moment, including reruns since some of them have been discontinued. All of these shows are great because they never fail to entertain. For example, no matter who you are, I can guarantee that the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air can make you laugh. The shows consists of relatable situations that are portrayed perfectly by the star of the show, Will Smith. Even though I cannot relate to Dance Moms at all, I still love the show because it showcases the dancers and gives them a head start to their careers, and the moms on the show are dramatic and entertaining. Once Upon a Time satisfies the kid in me by bringing fairytales to life, changing the plot of famous storybook tales, and creating explanations to unquestioned topics in them. Finally, Grey's Anatomy takes me on an emotional roller coaster. The show manages to capture you with its unexpected plot twists and unforgivable deaths of beloved characters. I also love the fact that anyone who has watched the show feels that they are expert surgeons and can perform the toughest of surgeries.

A place where you view grand mistakes that you promise yourself to never make and accomplishments that you hope to one day achieve. And a glimpse into the life of another. This "place" is otherwise known as television. TV is such a great way to let yourself go and just relax. Comedies, my personal favorite genre, is a fantastic area in TV. It makes you laugh and have fun, even if you are watching on your own. Others use television as a way to forget about their own problems and view how others deal with their dilemmas. Sometimes TV shows are just so relatable and they can help you cope with real-life situations. One of my favorite shows is "Baby Daddy", it is extremely funny and as a person who loves to laugh it definitely receives my stamp of approval. Not only is it hilarious but it takes you through the life of a young single dad trying to raise his child with the help of his best friends and close family, however he is looking for love; a new addition to the family. I find myself following the series waiting for new episodes to come out. When I'm not awaiting the new episode of Baby Daddy, I usually stream through the channels, On Demand, or Netflix to find a show that accommodates my mood. For the most part I am always on the look-out for romances, comedies, teen dramas, or reality-TV shows. Overall, TV is definitely important whether you watch it as an escape, a source of entertainment, or just to catch up on what's going on, TV is undoubtedly an amazing source.

The article "What are your favorite TV Shows?", states that we are are in a period known as "TV's New Golden Age". This is because television is producing great, high-rating shows. There are so many options in genre to chose from that TV can appeal to anybody. As I stated previously, I am attracted to comedies and dramas. I am always on the search for new shows, so I revised Watchable and definitely found a few shows that caught my attention. Election, Superbad and Mean Girls were recommended to me. All are movies and I'm willing to give them a shot. Although I have not watched Superbad or Election I have viewed Mean Girls and actually it is my all-time favorite movie. So I am looking forward to watching and enjoying these other two options.

My favorite TV shows are The Office and Orange is the New Black. I like both of these shows because they are funny and relatable. Currently, I am re-watching Orange is the New Black because a new season is supposed to be out soon, and I also genuinely love the show. I definitely look forward to watching the next season when it comes out and seeing all of the characters again. In Orange is the New Black, they tend to leave most of the episodes in big cliffhangers that make it so that you don't want to stop watching. For me, watching TV isn't that big of a part of my life, but if I do have free time I will sit down and binge watch Netflix for a while. When I start to look for new shows to try out, I tend to pick the ones that are recommended to me by family and friends.

Everyone has that one TV show or movie that they can watch over and over again. My favorite show of all time would be "Breaking Bad." Full of suspension and drama, "Breaking Bad" has won numerous awards, and each episode leaves me on the edge of my seat. The protagonist, Walter White, is a normal chemistry teacher who has to do dangers and felonious things in order to gain money for his cancer treatments and for his family. He goes above and beyond to beat cancer, and protect his family. I find myself yelling at certain charters and crying with other characters. In my opinion, "Breaking Bad" is the best drama ever.

Watching TV is a big activity now a days.My friends and I will all go to someones house just to watch a new episode. My favorite TV shows would have to be Gossip Girl and One Tree Hill.Everyone always says they love these 2 shows.I fore one love them because I can really relate.Problems with friends, family, and with yourself come up throughout the series. It helps me by knowing I'm not the only one going through problems.1 show I am watching right now is This Is Us.I watch this show with my whole family and it is really nice we can do that because everyone likes the show not just 1 person.I always find myself looking forward to the watch the shows, because I always want to know what happens next.TV watching is an important part of my life because I learn lessons from what the characters do wrong and right on the show.I think that reading a book is better than watching TV but they give some of the same products. For example learning new lessons, always wanting to see what happens next and you can usually relate to one of the characters. When choosing the TV shows I watch I usually read the descriptions and I also ask for my friend's suggestions. As stated in the article "sometimes it's good to get advice on what to watch next since there is so much good TV being made these days" so I usually will ask my siblings or friend if a show is worth to watch or not. When I went to the watching guide it actually gave me a show that I'm currently watching which is the Fosters.

My favorite TV shows ever are Gossip Girl, Grey's Anatomy, and Once Upon A Time. I love Gossip Girl as I can relate to some of the teenage problems in that show. I like watching Gossip Girl because Blair and Serena are friendship goals. No matter how much they fight, they are always with each other and have always got their backs. Also, Chuck and Blair's relationship is one big reason to watch Gossip Girl. They two love each other and make the perfect couple together. I like to watch Grey's Anatomy because it never gets boring. It is filled with drama that makes me keep watching the show. The daily drama in the surgeons' lives especially Meredith which makes the show interesting to watch. I like watching Once Upon A Time because of the love stories it has. There are so many different relationships in this show. Some make my heart melt while others make me upset. Once Upon A Time takes all the fairy tales we have ever known and puts a twist on them. It teaches us life lessons about family, love, friends, and yourself. Shows that I am currently watching are Gossip Girl, Grey's Anatomy, Pretty Little Liars, Once Upon A Time, and Quantico. I do find myself looking forward to the TV shows I watch. Watching TV is an important part of my life like it probably is in all teenagers' lives. I normally decide what TV shows to watch by asking my friends for suggestions.

In the first paragraph of the article, it says, "Sometimes it's good to get advice on what to watch next since there is no much good TV being made these days - in what David Carr called "TV's New Golden Age." In my opinion, I agree with David Carr because it is always good to get advice on TV shows from others. Other people can tell you their experience with A TV show and most likely can tell you whether or not you should watch the particular TV show since they know you well. My friends and I always give suggestions to each other on what TV shows we should watch to entertain ourselves. Lastly, I tried my luck on Watching and picked categories at the top of the page based on my mood and the guide recommended the TV show, Glee, for me.

In this generation, television shows have a huge impact on us. They show us that no one is the same, and they can show us to accept each other for who we are. The article mentioned the show Freaks and Geeks, which is a show that includes all kinds of high school cliches about people and who they are. This can be seen as comical, or it can be applied to real life. The best thing about programs like Netflix is that you can watch shows and movies of all kinds. When I am looking for a show to watch I normally look for fictional or scary things. If I'm not look for either of those things, I look for older shows. Shows like Friends or The X Files are classics that I have watched countless times. Right now I am watch this show called Riverdale which is about a couple of teenagers in high school trying to figure out who murdered Jason Blossom. I love this show so much because it mesmerized me from the very first episode. However my all time favorite show is probably American Horror Story. There is a huge diversity of characters and there are so many twists and turns that are so unexpected. Every season is a different story which is so amazing because I'll never get tired of it. In conclusion, TV shows have had a big impact on not only my life, but the lives of others as well, and I hope that future generations will be able to experience it too.

It seems like nowadays on one's spare time they devote their attention to Netflix or Hulu, or on demand. It also seems like the reason is fairly simple, to watch one's favorite shows of course. This is probably the sixth time I am rewatching Gossip Girl, after knowing exactly how it plays out. The reason for this, is "Gossip Girl" is a series that is comparable, it's real life, a portration of what life on the Upper East Side is like. Also, the characters share a storyline and connection applicable to one and their friends. Not only are they real human characters, instead they are teenagers thus, making it relatable and easy to comprehrend these real-like situations. I must say, it is extremely important to watch TV shows, believe it or not, I strongly feel that one learns so much from watching, the same way that one would in school. I generally decide what t watched based upon what people suggest me and the rating's of the shows. None of the generes above intrest me. In addition, to "Gossip Girl," I watch two shows called "The Vampire Diaries" and "Violetta." The first one deals with supernatural, an intriguing topic, that makes me curious as to how humans would deal with events with vampires, werewolves, witches, etc. Also, "VIoletta" is a hispanic Disney Channel show, that has inspired me in ways no other material has reached out to me. it's taught me to express how one feels, and that they should do as they believe. To summarize, I strongly agree that shows have purpose.

After a long day, I do what most people do- sit on the couch with a tub of ice cream and turn on the TV. Now personally, I have many shows that I love. However, my all time favorite that I am currently watching is Grey's Anatomy. This show is so suspenseful, interesting, and intense. It is about Meredith Grey and how she is trying to balance her work life and her love life and all the obstacles in between with other characters. Sometimes I yell at the TV screen forgetting the characters can't hear me, sometimes I cry with them, and other times I laugh with them. The problem with me is that I get too attached to them, which makes them important to me. For example, my favorite character in the show is Kristina (a surgeon), because she is a reliable person who knows what she wants (to be the best doctor) and is determine. I normally pick shows that a suspenseful and funny.

Since I have a lot of shows that I watch, my favorite one is Teen Wolf. The plot of the show is great because it's about these teens who solve mysteries in Beacon Hills. The mysteries include a bunch of different types of wolves and how they fight them off. Yes i most definitely look forward to when my shows come on and especially when the episode of the new season comes on. normally I just see what I'm interested in and then I will watch the first episode and see how I like it. Some shows might be recommend by friends or family. None of the categories on the upper part of the page interest me.

It's funny how TV shows have such a huge impact on society nowadays. To be honest, they have quite a big impact on myself. I watch multiple TV shows ranging from superhero fiction like "The Flash" to drama series like "Gossip Girl." In the second paragraph of the article "What Are Your Favorite TV Shows?," the author states "(...) there is so much good TV being made these days (...)," (Gonchar). TV has seemed to flourish a lot within the past couple of years and various genres of shows have been becoming more popular. I have many favorite shows, but my most favorite is "Bob's Burgers," a unique show filled with humor and enjoyable characters. There isn't one episode of the show that can't make a person laugh.
Most of he TV shows that I watch are recommended by friends and even family. I usually wait until the weekend to watch my TV shows so that I can stay up late and enjoy multiple episodes. I often look forward to doing this because I love to just relax and find out what will happen in an episode of a show. Because of this, TV has become something that has some importance in my life. Watching TV shows gives me a chance to relax and allows me to forget about any work that I have to complete for a short amount of time. It allows my mind to live in another person's world and experience what they are going through.
SophiaGBEL4 (NJ)
It's quite interesting how TV shows have such a great influence on people and their lives nowadays. To be honest, I find that they have quite a big influence on myself. I watch a variety of TV shows ranging from "The Flash" to "Gossip Girl" to "Stranger Things." My absolute favorite TV show is probably "Bob's Burgers," a unique show filled with humor and enjoyable characters. There is not one episode of "Bob's Burgers" that can't make you laugh.

My favorite binge-worthy show would have to be "Grey's Anatomy" because I have been watching it with my mother since I was seven years-old. I love it because there is never a dull moment, the characters are relatable, and every time I watch it its like I'm in a trance. So I would one hundred percent consider my favorite binge-worthy show "Grey's Anatomy."

My favorite show that I have watched is Last Chance U. The show is about college football players at Junior College that have either gotten in trouble or had bad grades at major Universities. Eastern Mississippi Community College is the college that the athletes attend. The school had one 3 straight championships. The team that the show follows is a rowdy bunch of football players that will do anything to skip school. It is cool that you get to see all of the behind the scenes parts to a college football team and watch how hard these athletes want succeed, but how hard school is for them. These are just a few reasons why Last Chance U is my favorite show that I have ever watched.

I have many favorite TV shows. My all-time favorite would have to be "Grey's Anatomy". Right now I'm watching a couple shows. I am watching "Grey's Anatomy" and "The Vampire Diaries". I look forward to watching theses shows but sometimes I don't always like watching TV. TV watching is not that important to me, I rather do something productive. If one of my friends tell me to watch a show and say "It's as interesting as the Presidential Election" I would most likely watch this show. I would watch "Freaks and Geeks". This show sounds a lot more interesting to me than "O.J.: Made in America". In conclusion I have many favorite TV shows but sometimes I can be picky with them.

My favorite TV shows ever are Prison Break, Friends, and Charmed. Prison Break is great because throughout the whole 4 seasons it never gets boring. The plot is always exciting and theres a lot of adventure and action that keeps me interested. Friends is my top one favorite show ever, I never get tired of watching that show because most people can relate to the show. Everyone wants to be able to have life long friends the way they are, the show is really funny and it never gets boring, i was mad when they stopped making episodes. Charmed is a show that is just fun to watch that i can also watch over and over again. The show i watching at this moment is Prison Break because theres a new season coming out in a couple months and i want to catch myself up. Yes, i find myself looking forward to going home to watch my show but TV watching isn't an important part of my life. I normally just ask people what shows do they recommend to watch.
Bobby D (Arizona)
My favorite TV show is the Flash because it is a show my family and I love to watch. Also, it's my favorite show because he is always catching the bad guy, is always gathering clues to find out where they are at, and is rescuing people when ever they are in danger. My family likes to watch it but, me and my brother can watch the show forever. We can sit there and watch the same episode we just watched over and over again. My favorite show is the Flash.

My Favorite tv show is The Walking Dead. It is a very good zombie apocalypse survival show. The main characters run from the dead, scavenge for supplies ,and fight other survivors. I love this show for the suspense every episode leaves you on a cliff hanger. You'll want the next episode to come so fast you'll feel like it takes a life time,

my favorite show is the flash. I Like the show because it look so realistic like it could happen in the real world. It's got a lot of comic book aspect it for example the way they show the flash get his power is the same way in the comic. My favorite part of show is how they deaf the villains with science.right now the show is on its third season and its just came of the mid term break so I am excited to watch the show again. that why the flash TV show is my favorite

Girl meets world, beauty and the beast, lolirock, Austin and ally, supernatural

My favorite TV show is Supernatural. I started watching Supernatural last summer on Netflix. I found Supernatural while watching one of my favorite channels on YouTube, the Hillywood Show. So, I thought I should get the show a chance. So, I asked my dad to sign me up to our Netflix account, then I searched the show supernatural, and then I started watching the show. I remember how attached I was to the screen I was when I first watched the first episode. I tried to get my parents into the show but they didn’t like it as much as me. My parents make fun of me that I stay in my room to much like a ground hog during the summer. My favorite show is Supernatural. What's yours?
Tanner (Arizona)
My favorite TV shows ever would be Pokémon, because I loved to see the moves the Pokémon had, hear the different kind of sounds the Pokémon made and be able to collect my favorite cards, which some cards felt different then the other cards. Right now I am not watching TV because I am a gamer and always on my computer. When I was younger my mom took me to my grandma's so I can sleep and she would get me up very day at 8:00 so I can watch Pokémon. I normally decide by if it interests me. I also collected the cards and to get the rare cards is like winning the lottery.
Aurora M (Az)
My favorite binge-worthy show would have to be Grey's Anatomy because I have been watching it with my mom since I was 7 year-old. I love it because the characters are so relatable and its very intriguing, every time I watch its like I'm in a trance.

My favorite TV show is surprisingly The Walking Dead. My parents have been watching it since the first episode aired. They said that I wasn't allowed to watch it because it was an adult show. After they were on season 5, I asked again to start watching it. I was only 12-years old. My parents finally said that I could watch it, so I spent the whole summer watching season 1 through 5 on Netflix. Every morning, I would wake up, eat breakfast, then watch The Walking Dead until lunch. I loved to watch that show because it always left me hanging. Also, it would be so surprising to see who they killed off next. I am very excited to see the rest of season 7 this upcoming February. I love the show The Walking Dead!
Hailey S (Arizona)
My favorite TV show is the original MacGyver its so creative. Macgyver picks up C4, adds the fuse, strikes the match, lights the fuse and runs away, while the boob goes Kaboom, Kaboom, Kaboom. It is so awsome I would love to do what he does.
Hailey S (Arizona)
My favorite tv show is the original MacGyver. Macgyver sets down the C4, addes the fuse to it, lights the fuse, and runs away while the C4 goes "KABOOM, KABOOM, KABOOM".
Cole (Arizona)
One of my favorite TV shows is called Game of Thrones. Although it is an adult show, I still find it interesting. I like this show because no matter what happens, it is unpredictable from what will happen in the future. Of course there will be theories floating around, but it will still surprise us in the end. This show also plays with your emotions. You will hate, and love many characters. I also like how the creators spend so much time making the episodes. I've heard that they spent $6,000,000 per episode! Soon season 7 will come out and I can't wait to see the well-made episodes!
Kevin Van Gordon (Arizona)
My Favorite tv show Drake and Josh. It was like a circus. The show was cray with a lot of weird moments u would not expect. It was on Netflix for a long time but sadly they have taken it off. There was crazy things going on, they would always fight each other, and there little sister was a devil
Laila Mohmand (Fountain Valley)
One of my favorite TV shows of all time is Friends. I usually like shows that have been finished. Friends is a show that provides humor and great love among friends. I think the idea of how this show was made was something that I loved. It's also show that my sister and I usually watch together and it's a show that brings us together. The TV show has so many inside jokes that only a true Friends fan knows and I think that if you watch this show, it gives a life on how to be independent, have close relations, and the idea of always being happy because Friends always brings a smile on my face every time I watch it.
Elodie (Ub)
I love watching shows like bright, funny, and capable of enlightens my day. Also, I think there must enjoyable things that I could learn from what I am watching, so I love watching Gilmore Girls and other supernatural shows. I don't know why I enjoy watching supernatural things like vampires, werewolves sometimes :p
Aileen Nguyen (California)
For me, I don't watch American shows which is very unlike other teenagers my age. I usually watch Korean dramas and shows, since they seem more interesting to me. However, even though I don't watch American shows, I started to watch a Netflix series called "A Series of Unfortunate Events", and I immediately got hooked on. This is probably because I loved these books when I was younger, loving the unluckiness of the characters and the constant droopy theme of the series. While other young girls watched happy movies and shows such as "Barbie", I was obsessed with these books. So for anyone who loves to watch shows with not much happiness but is full of mystery, suspense, and misfortune, "A Series of Unfortunate Events" is the right show for you.
Katlinh Nguyen (California)
One of my all-time-favorite show is How I Met Your Mother. The genre is comedy and always manages to make me laugh. In the show, the viewer follows a tight-knit group of friends as they go through different events and situations in their lives. It is truly a show that exemplifies friendship and caring for those who love you just as much. I also really enjoy crime shows. My favorite has to be Psych. It is also a comedy that follows to best friends as they help the police solve crimes using one of their so-called "psychic" abilities. Every episode leaves me crying from laughter and I highly recommend it.
Tiffany (California)
A show that's a must watch is Once Upon a Time. These are not your average fairy tales; they contain twists and turns of light and dark magic. The reason why this show captivates me so much is because it allows me to be able to picture these classic heroes and villains in real life. Every episode is a cliffhanger and I never want to miss a moment of this action-packed series.
Yenni Giang (California)
I personally really enjoy watching comedies, such as F.R.I.E.N.D.S. or How I Met Your Mother, which always leave me laughing in tears. Both revolve around a close knit group of friends throughout the years and the development of their relationships. However, if you're looking for more thriller/action, definitely go take a look at The Walking Dead! It's a perfect combination of action and fighting scenes and scheming adversaries. It follows Rick Grimes in a word ridden with the apocalypse, and his journey in finding a safe haven after encountering a group survivors.
