Donald Trump is NOT a New Yorker. He does NOT have New York Values.

It's good to see you covered two events that occurred on Staten Island today.
Keep it up.

WINTER WOE-WOE-WOE

Cold of course is the worst of it,
Freezing the body, every bit.
Snow by contrast is manageable
Long as there's a kid who'll till.
Then there's the force I'd love to rescind,
February's fiercesome wind.
Bare oak trees and browning grass
Bring no earthly joy, alas.
What I hate the most, however,
Way beyond the utmost endeavor,
Is the season's daily distressing,
All that dressing and undressing.

Whenever Trump messes up, I won't feel bad about it, because I didn't vote for him. Unfortunately, I will feel bad for those who believed everything he said and did vote for him. Of course, there were those who just voted for him as a joke vote, but now wished they could take it back when they know clearly that such a thing can't be done. Others just didn't want to vote for Hillary just because they believed that either she belonged in prison or that they didn't want another career politician even though these are the ones who express interests in political offices that most don't even want. If there was something that reads, "Don't look at me, I voted for Hillary", I will plan to get that just to show it to those who wish they didn't vote for Trump. I do find it an irony that that there are those that are alright with a bigot such as him not to mention how he never comes clean on his tax returns. Just saying he can always be voted out in the next election is more easier said than done, because I remember that being the case for George W Bush, which I voted against him, and yet he still got to stay in office mainly because it was more like saying that many didn't actually like him, but they couldn't see themselves voting for John Kerry in that they felt better with the devil they knew rather than the one they didn't.

Please, don't smear our city's good name by association with Donald Trump. We didn't vote for him.

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen:

Whom Did We Elect?

A Parody by Caleb Boone.

To be sung to the tune of the duet of Mikado and Katisha with chorus "From Ev'ry Kind of Man [etc.]" from Act Two of Gilbert and Sullivan's 1885 operetta "Mikado."

Jared:

I'm not the kind of man he is,
In his blonde fake wig bedecked;
He'll never spell Afghanistan!

Donald:

But I'm your President-Elect!
Jared's not my son,
(I've got more than one!)
To take the blame and spare my neck!

Jared:

My portfolio has been declared
Particularly correct;

Donald:

But it's not half as funny as mine!
Relax in my hotel on the sun-deck!
Cow-Tow
To your fat President-Elect!

Chorus:

Horchow!
He'll sell White House bricks by catalog next!

Jared:

In a fatherly kind of way
I ask him to launch no missiles, M-X!
I pour him a glass of Tanqueray --

Donald:

But don't forget: I'm your President-Elect!
I'll sit on my throne,
With a brain like a stone,
Your Jabba-the-Hut-Elect!

Jared:

My mood is mature and light —
My freedom from all defect —

Donald:

Except you made a big mistake,
When you became my son-in-law-elect!
How-Now,
Brown Cow or Chiang Kai-Sheck!

Chorus:

Garbage-Scow:
We'll run aground in Little Neck!

Have a Dovely.

Sincerely yours,
Caleb Boone.

P.S.: The best rendition of this duet with chorus is found at 13:00 of the 1973 D'Oyly-Carte Opera Company recording of Act Two of "The Mikado." It can be found easily on YouTube at:

From the link on the protests - did they say Alec Baldwin, Mark Ruffalo, Robert DeNiro - and Cher?

Tune of Gypsies Tramps and Thieves

We were torn on the matter of what we should say
We never like to act in a political way
But it's gone farther than we thought it should
Tweet it on our twitter
Hoping it might do a little good.

Ditch These Rants and Tweets
We tell him he should leave the net alone
We tell him
Ditch these rants and tweets
Cause every morning he sits there with a phone
Says things he shouldn't own

Ditch these rants and tweets
We know he has to act more like a Prez
We say now
Ditch these rants and tweets
And the whole world in low or in high res
They're reading what he says
