For those who don't know the tournament has Ben going annually since 1935, and almost stopped because of lack of funding... Some of the best players in baseball have played in the tournament before becoming a pro... I dare you to research it. I personally love the idea of having some of the old guys playing. The smaller teams will love being the underdogs (who doesn't like the underdog), and honestly this is great publicity for the tournament. The team was put together for fun they aren't getting paid to do this... Will they win I don't know it's not like they are in their prime so who cares!

Does Clemens bat? I smell purpose pitch.

Amateur?

No peds, either...

Former pros are amateurs?

This reminds me of Kramer in Seinfeld taking a karate class where he beat up on little children. At least Kramer wasn't juicing, as you can be sure Clemens and his fellow "amateurs" will be.

So Clemens wants to "prove" something by striking out some amateurs? How absolutely pathetic!

As if *anything* can wash away the stain of his longtime cheating!

And he'll probably be using 'roids again to "enhance" his performance! They don't monitor games like this, do they?

I'm sure his steroid use will help pummel the opposition.

Is LaRoche going to have his son in that locker room as well?

I guess since MLB wants nothing to do with him, Clemens found this little nugget of a baseball tournament that he can participate in. And since there's no drug testing, he can use this opportunity to show his son how to properly inject steroids into his... well, you know!

Clemens aside, as a sometimes amateur bike racer, I can't stand it when former pro riders enter amateur races. Once you've been a pro, you should be banned from participating in your former sport.

at least in baseball you could even the odds...give the other team four outs.

Really? I'd be thrilled to step onto the same field with all those former Major Leaguers, and even more thrilled to beat them.
