Not to be judgmental, but anyone wishing to be, or be like, Donald Trump in ANY way needs to seriously have their head examined.
There is nothing about appealing to the lowest instincts in mankind for gain that is laudable.
Just saying....

They mostly admire someone who looks like themselves but has the astonishing courage to say things that they wish they could, but afraid to even dream of.
In essence, he gives voice to their inner thoughts.
If he can hear their inner thoughts and affirm it in the open stadium, he must be the supreme being.
The faith asks you to do a lot of things. But mostly it demands: just follow me.

The opening about reality TV reminded me of an insightful YouTube video that investigates and picks apart this concept with an interesting and personally refreshing viewpoint. It's on a channel called The Film Theorists and the video is titled "Film Theory: How Donald Trump is Winning with Reality TV". It presents information similar to the opening of this is a fun, albeit sophomoric, way. I believe it's worth checking out as a means of getting more information on this topic.

I'm starting to look forward to your sports analogies as much as this column...

Well balanced today: both leading off and closing with stories about chest-thumping primates.

Please, no, we don't need coaching lessons on how to behave like Trump. He may live in the city but most of us have no interest in acting like him.

What's funny is that Trump presents himself as the biggest real estate titan in NYC and that he has the answers to all the country's problems yet no one has asked him why he hasn't yet solved the homelessness and lack of affordable housing problems that afflict the city.
And as to "King Kong" my favorite scene is where he destroys the El while people stand at their windows watching him do so. Very typical New Yorker behavior.

Because solving the NYC housing problem is not a money making enterprise.

-After a scene in which King Kong made a particularly daring escape, a member of the audience shouted, “What a man!”
Sounds like a Trump supporter

Donald Trump hosted various iterations of "The Apprentice," a contest of some sort. He's not a reality TV star; he's a game show host.

“His mantra: Be your most interesting and authentic self.”

Tune of “I’ve Got You Under My Skin” – a totally lighthearted look at Super Tuesday as reality show

He’s gotten under our skin
He’s gotten in deep politically
So deep that they say there’s no way to look critically
He’s gotten under our skin

It’s gotten ugly as sin
We say to ourselves, his sparring has not been the height of taste
But surely we see what he learned from TV has not gone to waste
It’s gotten ugly as sin

We laugh at the guy with each joke he tells
‘Cause he has that Q-score appeal
Then his opponents reply with the same shtick he sells
And in months it’s shockingly real

Don’t you know that this guy, he really could win
It’s no technicality, this is real-life reality
Will the votes come through,
As they’re programmed to?
Can’t it stop before he gets in
And he’s gotten under our skin
