If the suspension is upheld, the cheating Patriots will just dress Brady in Garoppolo's #10 jersey and helmet and carry on as usual.

The inflate gate is pure rubbish, if the NFL is concerned about PSI, then supply the balls and check inflation after every play. If not then shove it!

The Patriots are the Clintons of the sports world: Willing to get away with whatever unethical and illegal behavior possible.

I assume that the football air pressure was checked.
This should always be done in front of the Patriots coaches and Tom Brady...from now on.

That would only make the league look foolish. One of the fundamental problems with the NFL's case against Brady is precisely the fact that officials didn't properly check the game balls during the Pats-Colts game. The NFL doesn't know how much the Colts balls deflated vis a vis the Pats balls because the refs never bothered to check them all.

If refs had done their job properly in the first place, none of this would be happening now.

Sure, they did it for the second half of the AFC Championship Game and also the full game for the Super Bowl and look at the results!

Same as "SpyGate": we only went undefeated in the regular season and would have except for a miracle play in the Super Bowl.

And when we lost that game to the Giants, not a peep from our team or our fans about cheating or blown calls or any other excuses, just the same as always when we lose: The other team and coaches played and executed better than we did.

I don't see any excuse for referring to Tom Brady's "role in deflation..." There is nothing but an alleged role in alleged deflation, based on the flimsiest circumstantial evidence.

Let Tom PLAY!

The focus of this story is shifting to Roger Goodell. He wanted to severely deal with the Patriots and Patriots with a promise of leniency if they co-operate. I doubt if he was personally vindictive towards Brady but I wouldn't be surprised if he was searching for support in some upcoming decision like an NFL team in LA and was assured of these votes for his decision if he would deal with Brady and the Patriots. Unfortunately Brady wouldn't cooperate. Now if the case goes to court and the Wells Report is thrown out, he must rescind the fine against the Patriots unless he's sure Bob Kraft won't file a lawsuit and submit to the punishment. Sooner or later it's going to come out which owners wanted justice against Brady and the Patriots. They can't be pleased with that prospect and Goodell risks losing their support on some matter like which team goes to LA. This story doesn't concerns NFL politics.
