Who knew? I wonder how many other presidential sculptures are out there, and why. Why such idolizing of these men? I say this with the inspiration for this site, Mt. Rushmore, visible on my western horizon. The local hub, Rapid City, has been erecting life-sized bronze statues on downtown street corners for some time now. These are small-government Republicans mostly, so there's something odd about their infatuation with the federal executive. The sculptures are well done (as is Mt. Rushmore, which I otherwise think is a blight). There's FDR standing w/ braces at a mic'd podium, Nixon seated and sinister, JC waving from his inaugural parade. JFK is handing his son a toy airplane, ouch.

Those diving suit helmet portraits resemble some tribal masks.

The piece brightened my afternoon. The photography gives one pause to reflect on our world. I pray the presidential busts speak out to one another at night. Thank you.

Reminiscent of the great era of photojournalism last century.. eg Life magazine. Very enjoyable and interesting.

My favorite thing all week! Thank you so much for this :-) Some of the stuff is really thought provoking. Two hours spent not thinking about the news, and thinking about the real world instead.

Very enjoyable and interesting. The photography was wonderful! For those of us who can only travel by armchair, this offering was also quite unique.
