This tells us who Mueller's "team members" are, but what have they accomplished? Their investigation of Stone is especially ludicrous.
W in the Middle (NY State)
Wow – amazing... Would stipulate – based on Mueller’s reputation and the thumbnail bios – that this is prima facie the best possible competence-based team Mueller could possibly have picked... Except that... All six of your NYT picks beat me to it... Except that... If you ran the same article tomorrow, replacing Mueller’s pic with... > Giuliani’s, and presented this as Trump’s defense team > Facebook’s general counsel, and presented this as their defense team ...the most recommended six of your NYT picks would be screaming about the lack of diversity and inclusiveness PS Realized a while ago that this was far less about determining anything substantive about the last shady thing Trump may have done with Putin – and far more about forestalling the next shady thing he might do with him... Meanwhile about those sounds of two shoes dropping... One was the sound of GM plants closing in North America... The other was the sound of Volvo plants opening in China... PPS Wonder how many Volvos being driven by GS-13’s and ES-5’s and above – with their car’s every maintenance need being surveilled and/or anticipated... My car will tell me if I drove onto the lawn as I pulled into the garage – and it was built right here... PPPS How can we tell if you’re going to discard line-spaces or not...

I would buy a t-shirt with the first image of this circle of American heroes imprinted.

I meant to type, "so far not a single Russian has been convicted."
sammy zoso (Chicago)
This crew and their work make me proud to be an American. They are further proof that there are some incredibly intelligent talented people working for the government quietly and behind the scenes. The best to all of them, starting with Robert Mueller.
Jean (Cleary)
When the Investigation is over, I hope Robert Mueller runs for President. He is the one true patriot who we can be sure won't lie, cheat or steal. Not to mention he knows how to pick a worthwhile team. Mueller and his team will be the reason we will have some sanity in this country shortly. Now if only McConnell would be next.
William Case (United States)
Mueller marshaled prosecutors, F.B.I. agents and other lawyers to investigate Russia’s 2016 election interference and whether any Trump associates conspired. But so far not Russians has been convicted of election interference and no Trump associates have been indicted for conspiring with Russia to interfere with the 2016 election.
Franklin Schenk (Fort Worth, Texas)
It isn't over until the fat lady sings and she is still putting on her makeup. Don't be so presumptuous. Wait until the money laundering and tax evasion charges are filed. After that we can vote in 2020 for a new president.
LongDistance (Texas)
A Dream team of lawyers? Absolutely. So far the indictments have not been stellar - Russians will never be tried in the court here, Manafort and Gates were convicted for their work in Ukraine and other crimes not related to the investigation, Flynn lied to FBI about his advice to the Kremlin. What is the score after 18 months or so? If the objective is to bring the President down at any cost - through pulling his family business matters including his dead father's taxes or his business dealings from 10 years ago, leaks to the media from the investigation, getting cooperation from people by indictments from past crimes - with unlimited resources and time, this team will make a case for impeachment. With such talent and time, anything less than a recommendation for an impeachment is accepting defeat - both for the team and Mr. Mueller. These are go-getters, and they will get something for you. At some point, Trump will say something and trap himself. It is like a game where you wait for the other party to make a mistake. Is this a game? Is this investigation setting a standard for future Presidents? Yes, we have an unprecedented President but the scrutiny is also equally unprecedented.
Yaj (NYC)
Well, Mueller is one of the frauds who told fables to justify t the still illegal 2003 invasion of Iraq. So he's not to be trusted. And no, we've not seen any evidence to support the assertion in this article's first paragraph that the Russians intervened in the 2016 election.
Max (New York)
Just a reminder, that the issue is *collusion*: Did Trump collude with the Russians to hack the DNC emails? Until you have evidence, please can it. Clearly, once it becomes clear that there never was any serious evidence of collusion, certain journalists will go into full mode and spend the rest of their lives demanding that there is no way, it had to have been a conspiracy. Incidentally all the polling earlier this month showed 'Russian Collusion' barely registered as an issue. But don't stop believing.
KJ (Tennessee)
Fascinating. Every one of these individuals far exceeds Donald Trump in intelligence, stability, dedication to their work, ability to function effectively in a team environment without ego issues, and — most importantly of all — patriotism. We know people like this exist. Why are they so rare in government? And how did we end up with a president who has exactly zero of their admirable qualities?
Sage (Santa Cruz)
There are some nice cyber graphics here, but it is of little ultimate relevance what the names of Mueller's 14+ staffers are, which ones investigated activities of which of dozens of Trump associates, etc. Of much greater importance is the net overall effort, orientation, objectivity and impact of the investigation. Is there any truth to the accusations of Trump and Fox News, that this team is inherently biased, repeatedly going outside of the mandate given to it, and conducting an unfounded witch hunt for partisan reasons? A great mass of unconnected detail here seems to bear little connection to those key questions. Is it really intended that readers should conclude that Trump and Fox are correct? That Mueller is doing nothing but conducting a witch hunt, and that the mainstream press (NY Times included) has been engaging in fake news concerning this?
Teller (SF)
That's an impressive team investigating Russian interference in the Presidential election for the past two years. 1. So far, how many votes have they discovered the Russians changed or suppressed? Uh, none. 2. How many of you were so influenced by an online ad that you immediately changed your vote from Hillary to Trump or Trump to Hillary? C'mon, fess up. The Mueller team needs you.
Max (New York)
Actually, Cohen's testimony merely juxtaposed two statements with no objective proof for either. So he supposedly took on a real personal risk against a merely speculative consequence for someone to whom his loyalty has since been absent. How is that credible? There is no evidence, whatsoever, that Russia hacked the DNC. There is only the word of the HRC employed firm, Crowdstrike. The FBI never even saw the hacked servers. Mueller may have indicted Russians, but he has proved nothing. However, you cite his allegations as though they were fact. R U S S I A G A T E Final nail in the coffin of MSM credibility.
Jon (Florida)
What is the party affiliation of these truth seekers?
Tim (Atlanta)
If Mr. Weissman is typical of the prosecutors, one might want to look at the prosecution of Arthur Andersen. https://www.nytimes.com/2005/05/31/business/justices-unanimously-overturn-conviction-of-arthur-andersen.html https://www.nytimes.com/2017/10/31/us/politics/andrew-weissmann-mueller.html A company of over 28,000 destroyed, families economically devastated, retirements destroyed, partnership equity rendered worthless. When the Supreme Court unanimously overturned the conviction, none of those connected with Arthur Andersen got any sort of recompense. And the prosecutors simply moved forward with the path of destruction in their wake. A prosecutor's duty is to seek justice. Sometimes it appears that duty is overruled by a desire for personal advancement or another notch in the belt.

Great article, breaking it down into easy pieces. A judicial dream team.

My gratitude for Mr. Mueller and his brilliant team!
MIMA (heartsny)
I read this article, every word, every profile, every connection. I would like to take this opportunity to say from the bottom of my heart and soul to these individuals listed - thank you for your service! Generations of Americans are indebted to your steadfast research, your hours of patience, your generosity, because we all know and realize there are times when your work here comes before other things in your life. Thank you for giving us personified reason to be proud of the people here who essentially stand for us......all of us. And thank you NYTimes for the opportunity to express our most sincere gratitude. This exemplifies the depths of US justice.

Bruce (San Jose, Ca)
Are each of them on a RED background because they're all ANGRY?
Douglas Evans (San Francisco)
Nah, that means they are all actually Republicans, looking to wash out the stench that Trump has tainted the party with. But seriously, Trump wants to paint this group as partisan loyalists. In fact, they are professionals looking to connect the dots between evidence and criminal laws. It doesn't matter what party they support. They are doing a job. The more lines Trump draws, the more he complains, the guiltier he looks. No doubt it does take a lot of Trump's time. Exhausting, I am sure. It's hard to keep track of that many lies, to remember so many shady deals and find ways to tamper with witnesses and hide evidence, all while running a disinformation campaign to keep loyalists believing it is all just a witch hunt. It may well be a witch hunt, but they sure seem to have caught a lot of witches, and Donald Jr. sure looks like a flying monkey to me.
sammy zoso (Chicago)
Not angry, serious, as they should be. Doesn't get much more serious than this.
Expat Annie (Germany)
Some commenters here are wondering why the Times published these admirable people's names and short biographies. Well, if nothing else, it at least contradicts Trump's portrayal of Mueller and his team as a "gang of angry Dems!" These are obviously all very professional, experienced and talented people -- not political hacks. That's probably what has Trump so worried.
ACJ (Chicago)
Wow, so this is the A team---and then there is Trump's sandlot team---Trump's downfall is he sees no value in expertise---none. Doesn't read any of the reports from his experts, doesn't employ the best people in the field, doesn't care about the quality of outcomes from his cabinet members...on and on. If there is one lesson I learned, often the hard way, in my minor managerial career, is expertise matters, and matter a lot....
Kathy (Oxford)
But didn't Trump say he has his gut and that's smarter than all the experts?
JR (CA)
Because they are professional and silent, Trump fans think they haven't been doing anything. Someone needs to make hats and tee shirts (manufactured in the USA) that show these diagrams, with the words Making America Great Again.
Indie Voter (Pittsburgh, PA)
More DC financial waste on wild goose chases instead of focusing on prosecuting big corporations and Pharma for destroying our systems and communities.
Kathy (Oxford)
I would say it's related. When you have a corrupt government you have exactly that but without penalty. Go after one corporation and it feels good but many more out there. Go after corruption in government and you can clean up many corporations and reward the good ones.
bob (cherry valley)
How can anyone view standing up for the rule of law as a wild goose chase? How is investigating this supremely unscrupulous “businessman,” the best friend “big corporations and Pharma” ever had, any kind of problem? What kind of idle fantasy is it to suppose that if prosecutors weren’t investigating Trump they would “instead” be going after the capitalist exploiters? What are you talking about?
Ed (Washington DC)
This stellar group of prosecutors are the best of the best, and truly hold credentials as servants of the public. Donald Trump does not hold a candle to any of these government employees in comparing their service to the public. In fact, just before he fires them, Trump laughs any time he hears of someone in his administration who idealistically claims they serve the public and not him.
quisp65 (San Diego)
Ken Stars team in the end impeached Clinton because he lied about cheating on his wife. I imagine this team might do something similarly glorious with this investigation started on the winner of an election that the establishment didn't like.
Joanna Caldas (New York, NY)
This is the ultimate Legal Dream Team - and they will all go down in history as the attorneys who saved democracy - I hope our next DEMOCRATIC PRESIDENT give them all the medal of honor for their work for extracting the virus that has infected the WH
Shane (Marin County, CA)
This is a wonderful synopsis. I particularly enjoyed the backgrounders on Mueller's team, who all seem like incredibly accomplished and dedicated Americans.
Kathy (Oxford)
Until this case they worked in relative obscurity. To me, people like that are real heroes of our democracy.
JJ (Washington DC)
I love this summary. I've wondered who has been doing all this work behind the scenes. Nobody can question the credentials and integrity of this group.
Patricia Caiozzo (Port Washington, New York)
At the risk of sounding a bit histrionic, I believe Mueller, his prosecutorial staff and the F.B.I. are the only people in this country standing between those of us who still value truth, nobility, the rule of law and integrity against the contemptible corruption and corrosion of our institutions connected to Trump, McConnell , the GOP sycophants who have made their Faustian bargain and the fanatical base who worships at the feet of a narcissistic, pathological liar. I thank each individual on Mueller's team for an unwavering dedication to this enormously important task. Their work will stand the test of time while Trump's puerile and hysterical tweets will vanish into the ether. Whatever the outcome of this exhaustive investigation, Mueller and his team have provided a shining example that there is a part of our democracy that still works. That McConnell and the GOP refuse to protect Mueller and his investigation will be a permanent mark of shame and provides blatant evidence that the GOP has been bought and paid for and they have forfeited their responsibility to the American people. As the investigation proceeds, we must be prepared for more and more unhinged rantings and risible denials from Trump but they should fall on deaf ears. We have seen this reality TV show before, so just switch channels and stay focused on the few remaining people in this country are following the rule of law and justice. Thank you for this informative article.
John (NYC)
Oh I don't it's histrionic at all. I think it's actually quite possible you speak the truth, 100%.
Cygnus (East Coast)
"...we must be prepared for more and more unhinged rantings and risible denials from Trump but they should fall on deaf ears." Agreed. His tweets, I hope, play a role in his undoing.
David Blackwell (Seattle)
Nice comment and well-written. I agree with everything with one exception: “…while Trump's puerile and hysterical tweets will vanish into the ether.” Around Thanksgiving in 2007, the Times columnist Roger Cohen wrote a good piece on e-mail. I printed an excerpt of his column and pinned it to my wall at work next to my computer. It followed me from office to office until I retired two years ago. To this day I think these are the most succinct words on e-mail I’ve ever read: “First, e-mail is reactive, a wait-and-respond thing, the surest guarantee of inside-the-box thinking. Second, it's a lousy tool for conflict resolution, a multiplier of misunderstandings. Third, it leads people to say things they would never say face to face. Fourth, once they're said they're recorded in their colossal inanity for all eternity.” Of course, tweets compound these issues further – especially the third and fourth ones Cohen identified – by broadcasting things to the world rather than a relative few. I think these ‘puerile and hysterical tweets’ will live in history for future generations of American to see and consider. And maybe that’s not a bad thing either. https://www.nytimes.com/2007/11/21/opinion/21iht-edcohen.1.8419848.html

As a former FBI agent in DC during Director Mueller's time there, I have some passing familiarity with a few of these faces and names, but even if I didn't, I would still be able to recognize their outstanding credentials. I know their "type." America can rest assured that these outstanding attorneys and investigators are the epitome of a-partisan. There are those of us who work/worked in government who know how to do our jobs irrespective of our targets' political persuasions. It's hard to believe these days, but it's true. I challenge anyone who disagrees to me to tell me how many federal investigations involving national security, corruption, counterintelligence, etc., they have personally been involved in, and I am sure I will hear *crickets.*. Carry on, Director Mueller!
Aaron (Phoenix)
An impressive collection of American patriots. As a veteran I am already deeply impressed by both Robert Mueller's wartime accomplishments and his highly successful transition to civilian service, but I was delighted to learn that Zainab Ahmad is on his team. After reading the May 2017 New Yorker feature on Ms. Zainab, I felt a bit safer knowing she was out there, carefully and methodically pursuing terrorists who would do Americans harm. It offends and frustrates me when Trump and his supporters disparage fine Americans like Mueller, Ahmad and anyone else who puts service before self and country before party, which is the exact opposite of the shameless, self-serving example set by the Trumps and their cowardly GOP enablers. https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2017/05/15/taking-down-terrorists-in-court

I just read that article, thanks for the tip, it was excellent.

This is the team "To make America Great Again" !
John (NYC)
My opinion is that we're very close to learning something of a political bombshell. They've kept the identities of these people very quiet until now, almost like we're getting an introduction to the cast of characters in a presidential takedown. The problem is, the Republicans are now one-by-one throwing Trump under the bus because they are ready for Pence to take the job. (who is even worse than Trump) The Republicans have carefully orchestrated this. Take Trump down if you want, but they're still going to get what they wanted (Pence, not Trump)
ART (NY)
Does disclosing the identity of Mueller’s team compromise their safety in these times? I'm concerned based of the violent history of trump supporters.
Joaquin F. (Chicago, IL)
This team is comprised of incredibly competent and intelligent people, but with the increasing number of right-wing hate attacks on public figures in this country, identifying each member of the team is a bit reckless; the wrong guy in a sticker-covered van could be making pipe bombs as we speak. That said, these folks are doing God's work here.
LivingWithInterest (Sacramento)
Thank you for a well organized walk-through of the team and their findings. I appreciate the Authors' not reinforcing the trump accusations of partisan witch hunters by remaining silent on the team members' political party affiliations. We know Mueller is a Republican and don't know the party affiliation of the Mueller team. The trump's Ad hominem tweets that politicize the investigation team by calling the Mueller team "12 angry Democrats" has been a charge of guilt by party affiliation as if Republican attorneys would not follow the evidence and where the evidence fits or doesn't fit within the rule of law. Republicans should take offense at the false dichotomy, too.
Kathy Lollock (Santa Rosa, CA)
Well, this is going into the "Saved Folder" of my Time's subscription. A request please: Continue adding to this roster of the infamous. I am sure there will be more names to come, to wit, Donald, Jr., and possibly Kushner. While reading these short bios of the notorious Gang of Trump, one can not deny that Trump was not kept apprise. He had everything to gain and nothing to lose through this unprecedented interference by Russia into our 2016 election. As far as I am concerned, the whole lot are betraying the tenets of a free and healthy democracy. I include those members of Congress who to this day protect their inept president. To Robert Mueller and his Special Counsel, my gratitude toward them is never-ending. These individuals will go down in history as the saviors of a nation too close to the edge of chaos and corruption.
James (Maryland)
Fire them. They are wasting our tax money. How many years has the investigation been? What have they found out?
NA (dobbs ferry)
Benghazi anyone?
Jean (Cleary)
It is Trump and the Republican Congress who are wasting our money. Trump's continuous rips to Mar-a-Lago so he can entertain, instead of using the White House and Camp David, like former Presidents, is criminal as far as I am concerned. And those expenses are just the tip of the iceberg. The investigation is 18 months. And the outcomes so far make it very worthwhile.
Southern Boy (CSA)
Political hacks, that's all. Wasting taxpayer's money in an effort to undermine a legitimately elected president. The liberal opposition must remember that what comes around goes around, and I hope that the next time it gains power, it gets the same treatment and worse.
Brunella (Brooklyn)
In an age where celebrities are endlessly lauded, it's the diligent and patriotic efforts of Mr. Mueller and his team I'm most grateful for. Thank you to each and every one of you, and all of your assistants & support staff.
Patty (Louisville, KY)
As an aging hippy, I've always had a distrust of law enforcement, especially at the federal level. But the Trump presidency has given me an opportunity to re-think that attitude. Bob Mueller and his team will be known as the people who saved America. I admire and respect their work, no matter the outcome. Thank you NYTimes for this informative piece of journalism. I worry, however, about the decision to publish their pictures. There are a lot of crazy people out there, not to mention the criminals they prosecute.
Ellie (Michigan)
Superheroes, all. Save us!!! You are our only hope.
kkm (nyc)
Special Counsel Robert S. Mueller, III a Republican, is a patriot as is the team he has put together. This is about the Rule of Law which the occupant in the Oval Office believes does not pertain to him. Well, most thinking American would strongly disagree with such a warped perception. There will be more information and indictments forthcoming. Democracy is strong and unswayed by those who flaunt the Rule of Law. A deep debt of gratitude to Special Counsel Mueller and his team for their unswerving resolve to uphold the Rule of Law!
Panthiest (U.S.)
Thank you for this important information. In reference to this quote from the article, "Among the episodes Mr. Mueller is examining: whether Mr. Trump’s lawyers discussed pardons with Mr. Manafort’s and Mr. Flynn’s lawyers.." I can only respond, that Trump himself has bragged openly about considering a pardon for Manafort. Thank you to Mr. Mueller and his team for their steady hand and respectful professionalism while dealing with Trump's constant barrage of slanderous comments about them.
LindaP` (Boston, MA)
I admire Mueller and his team more than I can express. I have wondered who they are. Frankly, I'd rather have been left wondering. Now I fear for them.

Headline-grabbing title with no real information, exposing names and faces for no other reason than publicity. NYTimes - there is a reason why I don't subscribe, and you should write about that.

Twelve of the fifteen are white men…an 80% representation. Zero African American representation. Only three females out of the group of fifteen…a 20% representation. Where are the daily accusatory claims of the group being an undiversified collection of racist, misogynistic white men? Very ironic that this is the Democrat “dream team”.

The nation owes a huge debt of gratitude to these amazing individuals who are doing the hard work of saving our democracy. Thank you from the bottom of our American hearts.
Earthling (Earth)
Is it wise to publicize these individuals' names and career history, right at this crucial stage of the investigation? There are a lot of resentful wackos out there. Another questionable editorial decision by the NYT.
D. Lieberson (MA)
This is an excellent, comprehensive piece of journalism which exemplifies why I read the NYT. But I do feel the need to share some concerns re: the layout, graphics and title of the article. While the names and bios of the people working with Robert Mueller may be germane to our understanding of this complex investigation, I question the decision to include photos and irrelevant personal information under the banner “Who They Are and What They’ve Done”. While with all my heart I wish it wasn’t so, there are people - angry, irrational, mentally ill and/or violent people – inspired and empowered by “their” president to take action to ‘shut down the witch hunt’. A simple black-and-white diagram with names but not photos, without red-highlighting and arrows in a bulls-eye-like configuration, while not nearly as eye-catching, would have effectively communicated the presented information. Like many others, I believe that the findings from this investigation could very well determine the fate of our democracy. The collective “we” need to do everything we can to insure the safety and well-being of the dedicated, hard-working people whose continuing work may very well be putting them in harms way.

Thanks to all these brave people who are working to bring down The Con Don and his Robber Baron cabal. Special thanks to Mr. Andres who, according to the article, "made his name as a trial attorney handling complex money laundering cases. He once was targeted in an assassination plot by a mob boss who was upset Mr. Andres had subpoenaed his wife." Now THAT is courage! WE THE PEOPLE owe them all our deepest gratitude. They will help us prove that democracy is alive and well in OUR United States of America.
a reader (Huntsvlle al)
I wonder if Mueller and his team had investigated Bill Clinton instead of having Ken Starr do it, would the outcome have been different. The current team seems to be very professional and savvy. Starr and his team always seemed to be grandstanding. Of course grandstanding is what one does if the facts are not on your side. Maybe I answered my own question. Looking bad however I think we would have been better off if Clinton had resigned. The me too movement would have started earlier and Gore would have had a chance to show his stuff.
RLW (Chicago)
It took 4 years for Nixon to get to this stage. Trump has done it in less than 2.
Maine Dude (Portland)
This is a fascinating read, and some future day if our democracy survives, Mueller and his team will be regarded as heroes. However, I wish you would not publish articles like this, not yet anyway. Allow Muller and company to quietly do their work. Much of their efficacy lies in the fact that they are silent and efficient and thorough- qualities that must drive the loud, disorganized and superficial Team Trump absolutely bonkers.

"Witch Hunt!" Except, in this case, Muller has proven there are actually witches to clear out of offices that are crucial to the public interest.
Chris (SF Bay Area)
It gives me chills that this team is going after wealthy elites to uphold the law and keep our election process honest and without influence. The law is often used to convict young drug dealers or users and give them long sentences. It's refreshing to see some people who care about the integrity of our election process and aren't scared to go after wealthy elites.
John Doe (Johnstown)
These graphics kind of remind me of watching the baseball All Star Game on TV, with showcase features, position and stats for each player at they come up to bat. Congratulations to Coach Mueller for assembling such an impressive powerhouse lineup, now go out there and play ball! Everything is just a game in the end. Unfortunately for America, however, in terms of ameliorating any real damage that's been done to us, chess is Russia's passion and a ball and a stick are children's toys there.

I admire these people, and the work they do. But, uh, NYT.....by publishing these names, are you exposing them to harassment? Let’s be realistic about the environment we are in now.

Everyone who has ever commented publicly about anything has faced harassment and even death threats, almost always by impotent crackpots. Anonymous online harassment as a tool of coercion is highly overrated by politicians and private citizens alike.
AReader (Here)
I agree....they are almost always impotent crackpots. But there is the occasional dangerous crackpot mixed in. Trump has done everything he can to bang the drum that the investigation is illegal and illegitimate. That functions to excite the base...and eventually one crazy person does something dangerous. We can not forget Heather Heyer.

This obsession of the Democrat leadership has and continues to damage the USA and our infrastructure. Because of the reluctance to punish large companies like Google and FB for their irresponsible involvement in election campaign information distribution they have focused on an enemy they can all hate. Connecting human beings with information designed to influence is nothing new its just on a grand scale now. Had this been an issue raised by the Republicans targeting Obama the scene would be entirely different.

"The team has secured indictments against dozens of people and three companies..." "He won a conviction and guilty pleas..." I wish the journalist had used less partisan words. "Secured" and "won" make it sound like the goal was to nail their side, not to investigate an alleged crime. He and is team found criminal behavior, presented the evidence, and the jury and judges allowed justice to proceed.

From the article: "Mr. Mueller has pursued a basic set of questions: How did Russia, on the orders of President Vladimir V. Putin, wage a campaign to illegally influence the 2016 presidential race?" What does this have to do with Trump? There is no evidence that Trump was involved, or even that Putin was involved. This is not Watergate, where the cops walked in and found a burglary in progress. It's time to impeach Trump and put him on trial by the Senate - let's see what the evidence is. If Mueller is going to be relying on "lied to" charges, the result will be the same as it was for Bill "I did not have sex with woman" Clinton - acquittal.

@Peter Zenger, it is a fact that Trump would not be president were it not for Russian interference, and we already know Trump's campaign had more ties to Russia and Russians than any American contender's should, and we know that Trump and his associates have repeatedly lied about those ties (the latest revelations are Trump's false claim that he didn't have any business dealings in Russia beyond a beauty pageant, and it appears Trump tried to gift Putin a $50M apartment in Trump Tower). Russian hackers stole the DNC's voter database and cross-referenced it with Facebook in order to target specific users, and Trump could not have won without this boost. There is no parallel on the Democratic side, no matter how much you wish for there to be. I have every confidence that Mueller's team will expose Trump as a traitor and a criminal; maybe then it will be time to impeach, but I don't have any confidence that the GOP will put country before party or honor before greed. https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2018/10/01/how-russia-helped-to-swing-the-election-for-trump

Aaron, You don't seem to be aware that the list of each parties voters is publicly available information. Since voter registration is done by the states, how else would the parties get to know who has registered for their party? When you go door to door, they give you a list to work off of, that is sorted by block - haven't you ever worked as a volunteer on a campaign? For information on voter lists, see: https://www.nass.org/sites/default/files/reports/nass-report-voter-reg-maintenance-final-dec17.pdf I love your words, "It appears Trump has...". The United States Senate isn't a Delicatessen - you need proven facts to impeach; they don't deal in baloney. That's why Clinton stayed in office, and went on to attempt a dynasty, the worlds greatest example of nepotism, and the real reason an idiot like Trump was able to win. No Putin need, the Democratic Party did it to themselves.

My heart swells with pride reading the bios of the people working for Mueller. We have such smart and competent people working for We the People. Thanks, Robert Mueller. May the wind always be at your back.
Elaine Lee (High Falls, NY)
Miss Idaho? Defending a piece of candy in a school play? Seriously? Why did you tag these bits of info onto the bios of two of the three women on Mueller's team? I don't see anything like this in any of the men's bios and I'm sure you could've found something, had you looked. "Once jumped off a roof, on a dare." "Took his cousin to the prom." Information like this might be interesting in a longer article that focuses on a single team member. But in this context, it serves to trivialize these women.
Peter Van Loon (Simsbury CT)
I read those comments, and never realized until you pointed out they were only under the women. Thanks for another lesson in how to be more circumspect. I agree, it is trivializing.
Emily Feldmesser (Washington, D.C.)
Thank you, I thought the same thing. Especially since there are so few women in this investigation, they should be given the same amount of respect as the men on this team. Why not include a "fun" fact about all of the men as well?
Nina (Montreal)
Exactly. Looking at the diagrams of various investigations, Ms. Rhee is working on more of them than just about anyone else. But you figured that "cute little girl" anecdote was what we needed to know about her? What editor thought that was just fine?
Francis X Archibald (South Carolina)
A most impressive cadre. The country is well served. Thank you all.
Ed L. (Syracuse)
President Trump has complained bitterly and often about the "13 angry Democrats" on the team. It might have been helpful to discuss his complaints in order to better judge their merits. The last thing America needs is evidence that this investigation has partisan goals, not that partisan Republicans will ever believe otherwise.
John Doe (Johnstown)
but some defense lawyers have noted his compassionate side, and his interests outside work extend to sports — he once attended tennis camp as an adult. Ed, if these qualifications don't thoroughly address that accusation, I don't know what can. Trust them, no one who loves sports would ever take sides or cheat.

Thank you! These are great visuals, which relay valuable information on sight. Nice to have the curtain pulled back in a way that shows not (only) the corruption--which by this point we're all so used to seeing--but the hard working teams that are focused on bringing the corrupt to justice. Great work!
