Mnuchin’s Hollywood Ties Raise Ethical Questions in China Talks

And the award goes to... Kamala Harris for rejecting the recommendation of her staff and refusing to prosecute Mnuchin. https://emcphd.wordpress.com

It's as if Pia Zadora were a cabinet member.

China apparently doesn't do Netflix. What other countries shut out Netflix? Movies saturate the culture of the USA. China and other authoritarian cultures of course fear alien influences. I presume there is a movie underground in China and elsewhere of Netflix and other computer services. My perception is movies have reached diminishing returns where they are saturating national cultures. No wonder Hollywood needs revenue from markets that aren't saturated.

EVERYTHING about Mr. Mnuchin raises ethical questions.
msprinker (chicago)
As a sure sign of irony, mnuchin was the exec. producer of "Going in Style " (2017 remake) about three retires from a steel company whose pensions are stolen after a buyout and through legal tricks, face home foreclosure and unaffordable medical costs, etc. in that movie they successfully Rob the bank which helped steal their pensions. In real life, mnuchin walks away with the money.

Time for distraction with some more outrageous action from dear Louise. However maybe this film industry move is trying to get a movie role for Louise.
Martina (Chicago)
Mnuchin knows about the "swamp." Today's Times (Business Section, page 3) says: "Mnuchin Vows to Shield Trump's Tax Returns." Thanks a lot Mnunchin. You do the country a disservice. Be a man, a patriot, or even a mensch. Promptly disclose Trump's tax returns.
Tom (Hudson)
Never trusted Manchurian Mnuchin so not surprised by this.
Tom (Northern Virginia)
Lifelong Democrat-for now-formerly from LA. Certainly glad that this industry is being helped, although after last nights movie on HBO, a comedy ending @ 9:00 p.m., saying at the end of the film "the future is China" as they plan to have a child and teach him/her Mandarin-never thought I'd hear that one-very disturbing statement-but the larger issue is Mnuchin going much to easy with the Chinese leadership during this critical negotiating process. I perceive that the Manchurian negotiator has a real lust for glamour, and all of it's false allure. The issue is in fact the rehabilitation of world wide free trade, but of course with the necessary components of being at least relatively reciprocal, without massive stealing and agreeing to WTO framework. The development of our free trade model needs to be updated, per the just after post World War II model, which had only one main priority of building up our alliances. We now need more nuanced dual priorities to maintain our national vigor. We must continue to keep up the pressure. Hope the NYT finally post my responsible comment -both my husband and I never seem to have it happen-interesting.

Pick a rock any rock. If it involves the Trump administration if you turn it over you will find more corruption. And it is characteristically callous corruption. I can just hear Mnuchin saying "heh, heh, heh. I'll just sell my interest to my fiance. No one will ever know." Whether it is Betsy DeVos promoting for-profit colleges, Ben Carson's dining table, Ivanka locking up scores of Chinese trademarks, Mick Mulvaney's cow towing to pay day lenders, Carl Icahn's brazen lobbying for energy tax credits to enrich himself... the list is endless. And here is the thing. The people think the are doing the smart thing. To not take full advantage of their high offices to enrich themselves would be stupid. And then Trump signing bibles in Mississippi....
shimr (Spring Valley, NY)
Mr. Mnuchin states his belief, " I am advised by people at Treasury that I am fully in compliance [with ethical requirements] and I have found no ethical issues. . ." After all he had divested his assets after joining Trump and Co. and so he can smile smugly about how "honest and ethical" he is. What is divestment intended to accomplish? A person who is given power to make deals or laws related to the assets or items he owns would be tempted to favor his own interests and ignore the interests of the public. Isn't that common sense that needs no elaboration? It would follow that if he " divests" by giving or "selling" his assets ---especially very valuable assets worth millions or more---to his fiancee or wife, or to his children, (or even to his close or best friend) is not divesting. Again, it is not divestment if one is still concerned about the assets, and anxious to have them increase in value. Only by Trump and Co. would this be considered divestment and such behavior deemed "ethical". This is "swamp world" where truth is labeled fake--and fake is touted as reality. Republican politicians are very adept at toeing the line of legality sufficiently so that they are not breaking any laws---the "wink" and the "nod" replacing the open illegality or norm---"I am not doing anything illegal or unethical" while they are mired in the swamp, getting richer . Remember that Al Capone could not be charged with any of the many murders he committed, only for tax evasion.

Yuck, just another sleazy Trumpista and his equally sleazy wife. I will never, ever, ever understand the Republicans, evangelicals, and assorted crazys that voted for Trump so he could "drain the swamp". That was never going to happen and he's clearly brought in new gators and swamp rats and still they claim he drained the swamp while they all just enrich themselves at our expense. Worst Administration Ever.

I was an art film distributor for 7 years and still follow the world's production of exceptional cinema. From time to time there is a rare film produced here that is beautiful, thought provoking and one you turn over for months going from layer to layer of its meaning. Unfortunately, most of our cinema is a Trojan Horse selling what's wrong with our way of life: violence, bad sex, dope, victimism, breaking-up families and individuals , etc. China, which has its own governmental, economic, and political problems neither needs or wants more bad air from Hollywood.
ultimateliberal (new orleans)
Funny, that the NYT chose that photo of Linton and Mnuchin for this story. She wore THAT to a state dinner? Does Linton have no taste at all? Probably not---- I still remember the stupid photo with newly printed currency with Mnuchin's signature. You'd have thought they were displaying a new toy that caused them to frolic with glee--while wearing gloves and a one-of-a-kind designer outfit. Has she ever worn it again? Given it to charity? Returned it to the store? Do they have framed currency on display in their home, so that they can boast about Mnuchin having signed $billions of US currency? Another couple dealing and profiting from foreign businesses?

This is Mr. Trump's version of "draining the swamp", sham paper transaction and a toothless enforcement program. We are dealing with people who have no ethics, no morality or any sense of shame. Entitled rich white guys.
jrd (ny)
And the likes of Brooks and Douthat insist twice a week that our ills derive from an excess of meritocracy..... This guy, whose father was a partner at Goldman Sachs, and the lady on his arm, who grew up in a castle in Scotland, are so very deserving! Plunk them down with a $1.79 in Guatemala or Honduras, and they'd be rich in no time!
Quandry (LI,NY)
Mnuchin is one of Trump's top grifters. He is Treasury Secretary only for his personal benefit and has no qualm prioritizing his personal business, above his country. His film is just his latest example of his graft. In that after two years in office, he still hasn't been cleared ethically. Treasury's inspector General should investigate and penalize him for any impropriety. He's just another charter member of Trump's swamp.
joe (los Angeles)
Can I just say I don't think its a good idea to be looking to closely at what some of our more successful businessmen are up to. It's really better not to go there because pretty soon... well people are going to start to think the whole deal, the whole way things are done are not....whats the word? Honest thats it. People are going to think that pretty much everybody in what we use to call the "Establishment" are just hucksters and well people are going to lose faith and in the end the whole shebang is based on faith. We in the middle class need to believe for the whole thing to keep chugging along and thats getting harder and harder to do, to believe. Why if this keeps up we might all lose faith and then what?
JMFulton, Jr. (England)
Too often I get the impression China approaches these trade talks as if it's a question of whom to bribe in the US and how much...promises to buy goods and services is bribery...be it soybeans for the farmers, cars and planes for heavy industry, chips from Silicon Valley, film revenues for Hollywood. But, importantly, it isn't trade reform. Unfortunately, real trade reform goes to the heart of China's sovereignty...it's economic as much as its political system. The game is rigged in China's favor, even if it lets the West win a few hands.
RD (Los Angeles)
When a Treasury Secretary Richard does everything he can to withhold Donald Trump's tax returns, it shows us that he is not only unfit for the job but he is part of the same rancid regime that Donald Trump has outfitted to create what we must call his Cabinet. But we have learned repeatedly in the last two years that the leader sets the tone, and followers will indeed take on the leader's behavior. Donald Trump has created such a situation . And we can smell the stench in Washington from all the way from Los Angeles.
Rob Miller (West Palm Beach)
Ah, Louise and Steve, always in the news, rarely for anything good. Mnuchin’s conflict of interest with China - just another Trump partner in promoting self interest for personal profit. Got to keep those designer handbags coming for Louise.
sga (california)
It is amazing how many unethical cabinet members this admin has. The corruption is overwhelming
Truth4U (Wisconsin)
Ethics don't matter because the economy is good and unemployment is low and the stock market is up and all those promises made are promises kept. Or so they say.
Mark (Tucson)
The two financial tricks used here, the passthrough and the spousal asset transfer are probably the easiest, most amateur of crimes - the intent and actions would make this criminal for the rest of us - since income tax, estate tax and government ethics laws were enacted. These thugs, grifters and thieves posing as public servants have all become just so very..............common.
RM (Vermont)
A conflict of interest occurs when you have a fiduciary or similar duty to a client or principal, and you, as their representative, have a personal interest that, if it is benefited, would harm your client. Or said another way, if you provided maximum benefit to your client, it would harm you personally. I fail to see the conflict of interest. Mr Mnuchin might be benefited if American entertainment productions got more sales in China. In these trade negotiation, he is representing American economic interests. American economic interests would also be benefited if American entertainment productions got more sales in China, bringing revenue to the American entertainment industry. So where is the conflict?
Scott (Albany)
Simply put, he is also representing his own self interest....which common parlance is called conflict of interest.
Liz McDougall (Canada)
This is all getting a little much. So much GREED with Trump, his family and many of his cabinet secretaries and administration appointees. Everyone out for self enhancement and enrichment...and Trump supporters think he is there for the little guy. Give me a break. He and others are in it not for the public good but for themselves. Greed is on full display for all who choose to look.
Miss Anne Thrope (Utah)
@Liz McDougall - it's truly fascinating that the stench of VeryGoodBrain is so overwhelmingly powerful. He attracts amorality like flies to a fresh cow pie. Does he know just one single person who has a conscience? Making America Gag Again!
LIChef (East Coast)
I ask why, if Mnuchin’s latest financial disclosure isn’t yet certified by the government ethics office, he is allowed to be treasury secretary. Do rules not matter anymore? Oh, wait. They do . . . for little guys like me. That’s why my accountant is asking for documentation to the nth degree for the meager bucks reported on my tax return. He knows people like me get the eagle eye from the IRS, while the Mnuchins of the world are free to abuse the system as they please.
Freddie (New York NY)
@LIChef, I know for this first year, your accountant is still asking to be 100% sure, but any little guy who neither has a business (schedule C, rental income) nor donates super-generously to charity will NOT be itemizing - when taking into account the state/local tax deduction changes and the increase in the standard deduction. Maybe ask your CPA if keeping this detail is needed; we've been advising people to put them on a credit card and send it so we can eyeball it, and just in case something terrible like out-of-control medical costs happens late in the year, throwing you in the very rare situation of itemizing at all. But after that terrible "Let them eat cake" start, Mnuchin and his wife seemed to "get it" and pull the bad-PR stuff by her all the way back; and he (to the revenue chagrin of us CPAs who can't bill nearly as much or even do any year-end planning that had involved state/local taxes or alt. min,.tax) actually did cut down in the record keeping for schedulle A for almost everyone, maybe so they can say there were some good things for all.
muddyw (upstate)
Some of the deductions you can't use on the federal are still deductible on the state return - standard deduction on the federal and itemize on the state.
Freddie (New York NY)
@muddyw, Of course, that's not the IRS requiring it, but what a good point for medical especially (some states have a lower exclusion threshold, and, for NJ, where you don't really ever itemize, we've been grabbing the total medical right off credit card year-end statements, and if you just write down amounts paid for cabs, you'll do fine without receipts for travel to and from doctors - so if you charge anything over maybe $75 and get a year-end summary statement, that should be good. Thank you. I was only thinking what IRS and Mnuchin still needed. I love New Jersey but IMHO they put the "gross" into gross income tax, although it helps the CPA stay solvent, LOL.
Donald (Ft Lauderdale)
Just another crook that works for Trump. This will make the Teapot Dome scandal look like a card game. Treason, Graft, nepotism, I am waiting for assignations to start, and not of the criminals but by.
James (Savannah)
Looks like Munchkin was hired to protect Trump's taxes. A way around him will be found, Trump will go away, Munchkin will go away. Both of them richer than before and all of us poorer than before, in more ways than one. Disillusionment.
Rick (StL)
Sec. Mnuchin wants Hollywood accounting rules to apply to Chinese box office revenue. After showing a film, the Chinese owe us money. Remember the Art Buchwald case? Nobody ever makes money in Hollywood.

Foreign movies into China is one the best ways to bring human rights and democracy into China.
Richard (Palm City)
Superheroes movies don’t bring human rights and democracy to anyone. They just show that might is right.
EE (Washington DC)
What a surprise! Really the only surprise would be if there were one person in this disgusting administration who did not have a conflict of interest, who was not in it for their own personal gain. That person does not exist. Wave goodbye, Steve.
Pete (VT)
He divested by selling his shares to his fiance? C'mon! Really? That's not even faking it!
Elly (NC)
Some day not long from now a writer will sit down at his computer and write a book. It will be about this president, his family, his associates, people he has done deals with. The cabinet, GOP, congressmen who stood by him, and leaders of other countries. It will be titled “The Age of Greed which Lead to the Destruction of our Democracy.”
WeHadAllBetterPayAttentionNow (Southwest)
Munchkin is known as one of the most accomplished repossessers in the world. A true vulture capitalist and icon to Icahn.
Lawyermom (Washington DC)
As I understand it, Mnuchin is pushing for better access to the Chinese market and a greater percentage of box office for American studios. The obvious analogy would be if Trump were pushing for better access to the hotel business in China, not just a good deal for Trump hotels. As noted, US film supports 2 million American jobs. The vast majority are people and companies that run in the part of the closing credits virtually no one reads: the light and sound technicians, drivers, extras, catering, etc. If Mnuchin can negotiate a better deal and Ms Linton makes more, so do other producers. Lifelong Democrat, lifelong supporter of organized labor and the arts, and I say, “Steve, go for it.”
Agnes (San Diego)
@Lawyermom This article is not about whether America should equalize trade deals with China, or any other nation in the world for that matter. It is about Menuchin having a personal financial interest through his wife Ms Linton who has a stake in the film industry. It is in reality Menuchin, Inc and Menuchin the Secretary all mixed in together. Another example of Trump's appointee dipping in the common trough for his own financial benefit. "Make America Great Again"??????
Milton Lewis (Hamilton Ontario)
It could be argued that Mr. Mnuchin’s prior film involvement gives him an incite into the Hollywood China relationship. His financial involvement,if any, seems very minor and could hardly be his motivation for improving the Hollywood take from China. In fact Mnuchin seems to be one of Trump’s more capable cabinet members and on balance one of Trumps most ethical appointees.
Jennifer (California)
@Milton Lewis - Insight, not incite, and continued ownership in a production company (transferring an asset to your wife is not divestment) is not at all minor. Upping Hollywood's take in China by 15% could make him another fortune. As to his ethics, don't make me laugh. The Department of the Treasury is required to release any and all tax returns requested through the proper channels by the House. There is no provision for withholding or exceptions - he is legally required to turn over Trump's tax returns when the request comes from the House, and yet today he indicated he would block any such request.
John (Boulder, CO)
Steve, it may be time to slither out while you can. Best of luck with the investigations. Regards, John
Ed (Wichita)
This is the fair-handed Mnuchin who kept silent as Trump declared that there were fine people on both sides, in Charlottesville.
W.Wolfe (Oregon)
Mnuchin is a Poster Child of special-interest-Greed. If one were to make a cartoon out of Trump's Cabinet ~ from the EPA to the Department of the Interior, and now; "our" National Treasury, you could not pick creepier people. As this Administration continues to circle the drain, as they say in Hollywood; "stay turned".
sleeve (West Chester PA)
And the swamp expands exponentially....
Robert (Seattle)
@sleeve They haven't drained the swamp. They've swamped the drain.
John Grillo (Edgewater, MD)
Isn't this the same couple who fraudulently made Uncle Sam pay for their private travel on government aircraft? If I'm reading Mnuchin's attached government financial disclosure document correctly, StormChaser Partners only provided Ms. Linton with less than $1,200 in income, for a purported 1 to 2 million dollar purchase price of her hubby's stake. Of course, Ms. has not paid her husband a dime to date with the amount due in 2026, as reported, presumably long after this couple has departed from Washington. This "paper transaction" was cleverly done for some unexplained ulterior purpose. What was it? The phrase "not trusting someone as far as you can throw them" comes to mind.
Texexnv (MInden, NV)
Seems like China is treating Mnuchin and Trump & family the same way Mnuchin and Trump & family treat the U.S. taxpayers. Who really cares if the Hollywood rich and famous end up on the short end of China's stick?
Lawyermom (Washington DC)
@Texexnv Because people who work in film are not all rich, famous and/or Californians, that’s why we should care. 2 million jobs, most of them decent middle class jobs.
ms (Midwest)
“...I have no ethical issues,” Mr. Mnuchin said. Got a chuckle out of that.
D. DeMarco (Baltimore)
Sounds like the American People need to see Mnuchin's tax returns too. No wonder he is so desperate to keep Trump's tax returns secret. Once we see how much is being stolen from us with undeclared income and unpaid taxes, heads will roll. Mnuchin and the rest of Trump's Cabinet have a lot to hide. Taxes took down Al Capone and they will take down Trump and his cohorts too.
T. Rivers (Thonglor, Krungteph)
The man is a walking conflict of interest.
Misplaced Modifier (Former United States of America)
Just checked. I've never seen one of that vapid, shallow woman's movies, nor will I ever. Mnuchin and his arm candy are yet more sociopathic grifters in Trump's sphere stealing taxpayer money to live a lavish lifestyle. This is another example of how the disordered 1% have gamed the system to their advantage. I hope we can pry these people off of the public coffers soon.
sm (new york)
The unbeautiful couple in mien and manner ; of course the Office of Government Ethics supposedly cleared him , it's staffed by Trumpers . Not surprising at all doubt any of Trump's appointees have any sense of ethics ; to quote Ilhan Omar , "it's all about the Benjamins baby ".
Freddie (New York NY)
@sm, I never considered Mnuchin unattractive, but certainly, a billion or two (especially without a pre-nup) really looks good on many people. I dpn't know what it is, but it adds a, how would Marie Antoinette say it, a certain je-ne-sais-quoi. There was a comedienne who said if something looks bad, it may be about presentation. "Like if you have cottage cheese thighs, just make them more attractive - try putting a peach half next to them." (We also had a theater school classmate who was always very handsome and charismatic but somehow just got really heavy, probably from sitting and writing; and we all agreed when he started winning big awards that with his look, his Pulitzer was very slimming.)
Jack black south (Richmond)
@sm Yes, but that's Puff Daddy's Benjamins quote.
Elly (NC)
Each and everyone of his crazy cabinet has criminally added to their coffers. We had no doubt from the start he cost the taxpayers money with entitled wifey adding to his disgusting actions. These people have the audacity to profit while they should be working for us. He’s the next one to go. Good riddance to bad news.
Rob (NYC)
We need Mr. Mnuckin back in Hollywood! He makes good movies.
Nancie (San Diego)
Each day I appreciate Pres. Obama more and more. A commenter responding to another article recently called Obama "an empty suit". I guess he was empty of Mnuchin-types and other questionable and indicted and jailed and removed and resigned nominees or cabinet members.
HN (Philadelphia, PA)
Here's the scary thing - there are many Trump voters - my BIL included - who see "getting away with something" as a qualifying value. Think of those voters who dismissed Trump's many personal bankruptcies, because they bought Trump's framing that he used the existing laws to his advantage. These voters assumed that Trump would do the same for the US, that Trump will "get away with something" when negotiating with other countries. I'm not surprised that just about everyone of Trump's administration is under an ethics cloud. This is the way that they roll. And, unfortunately, there are too many potential voters who don't see anything wrong with this - they just wish that they were in a similar position to rake in the money.
RBR (Santa Cruz, CA)
How in the world, we continue to succumb lower and lower? Remember? “I will drain the swamp” what a nasty joke... the saddest part of all of this, is that we continue to watch it from the sidelines. The media as the main culprit to allow this to remain in the dark.
Daisy22 (San Francisco)
Conflict of interest? Mnuchin and wife?? Gobsmacked, I tell you! Gobsmacked! And the dress? Ridiculous.

Another trump administration official under an ethics cloud. At this point, wouldn't it be more newsworthy to write about the ones that aren't?

Most of Trump's picks for his cabinet have been exposed as corrupt as it is a reflection of a corrupt president with 7 close associates indicted or facing prison time. THe first president in our history that operates as a crime boss bringing his family into govt forcing thru security clearances allowing his son in law to get a billion $ loan to save his bldg on 5th ave. The GOP will tolerate any president who gives them tax cuts even if he operates as a crime boss they feel Trump is their crime boss.

This is shaping up to be an excellent day: the Sandy Hook parents won a legal victory, Matthew Whitaker is in the dog house, Republicans are “defecting” to vote against the so-called “national emergency,” and now this ethics probe with the smarmy Mnuchin and his oh-so-whatever wife Louise. Keep the good news coming, and have a nice day, Donald.
JHM (UK)
Like the parents who cheated every other student to get their kids who otherwise were not entitled to jump to the head of the class in the rush to join the Ivy League by enrolment, most of Trump's appointees have cheated over and over again, and this includes Donald Trump in his life as Real Estate Mogul & as President. And now we have this vile behavior by one more of Trump's choices...because let's face it, the same rules that apply to the average American do not apply to any of them. Of course this is the major reason Trump has wanted America's Regulators to take a pill.
Mark (Cleveland, OH)
What's a poor.....er.....rich Munchkin to do? Keep looking out for the interests of the poor.....er.....rich Hollywood studios. Yep, this is a pressing problem....thanks Mr. Treasury Secretary for looking out for the little people......er.....super rich and keeping everyone honest!
Steve (Hudson Valley)
This is a stretch- "the actress and filmmaker Louise Linton". Of course her husband is trying to profit off of his government job- it is the Trump administraion after all. Grifting is the only job requirement.
drdeanster (tinseltown)
Louise Linton is a minor league actress at best. She's been in a bunch of movies nobody's ever heard of, and appeared in guest roles for 4 TV shows. This despite Mnuchin's connections. He couldn't nab a real Hollywood actress, and she's from the fake it 'til you make it crowd. She's not exactly a character actress doing Shakespeare plays in between movie roles, and at her age if you haven't made it in Hollywood yet . . . Maybe Mnuchin will try to get her a role in a movie financed with renminbi aimed at Chinese audiences though. That's how this administration works.

Someone in the Trump administration has a conflict of interest? Well you can color *me* surprised. I mean, who'd have thought?

Unfairness, restrictions, and violations of intellectual property are real problems in China. However, over reaching intellectual property laws and claims on the gross are problems here too. China too has a point. Just because we have a point, does not mean they don't. To understand the issues, and the conflicts of interest on our side, we need to understand the valid points that both sides bring to the negotiations. This raises larger issues, such as abuse of intellectual property law in the US, which is connected to monopoly control and profits outside the film industry, as for example Big Pharmacy and the games it plays with drug pricing to us here at home. There is a lot to unpack here. Even what is addressed is distorted for lack of understanding the rest. Republicans, and the neo-lib Democrats before them pushing the Pacific Pact, are in a larger way pursuing against other nations abuses they've already done to us. Resistance is not just in China, and is not all mistaken or ill-conceived.
Jacquie (Iowa)
The Treasury secretary wanted a taxpayer-funded plane to charter him and his wife to France. Mnuchin and wife took government taxpayer funded plane to watch eclipse. In 2018 Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin’s use of military aircraft has cost taxpayers nearly $1 million for eight trips. How much more taxpayer money has Mnuchin grifted from the American people? He doesn't know the meaning of the word ethics nor care.
MEB (Clarence NY)

N. Smith (New York City)
Should this come as a surprise to anyone? Steve Mnuchin has shown his preference for the high-life ever since he was tapped for the position of Secretary of the Treasury and has had no problem taking advantage of every perk that comes with the office, including romantic helicopter flights with his wife at taxpayer's expense. And then there's the fact that he failed to disclose $100 MILLION before the Senate Finance Committee when he was a nominee for the position he's currently holding. Face it. Anyone associated with this administration has a history of graft in their past -- it's one of the qualifications for the job.
petey tonei (Ma)
@N. Smith, they should demand his tax returns as well! “Steven Mnuchin, the Treasury secretary, signaled on Thursday that he would likely block a congressional request to obtain President Trump’s tax returns on privacy grounds, setting up a potential legal battle if Democrats follow through with plans to request those documents.”

@petey tonei I agree. It's obvious that by Mr. Mnuchin's vow to protect Donald Trump's privacy when it comes to accessing his tax returns, he's only protecting his own.

One has to wonder if Ms. Linton has received US citizenship? If not, isn't Mnuchin "giving" his monies too Scotland. Isn't there something in the laws that disallows off shore accounts? Just saying. Also, is Ms. Linton getting a genius award, like Melenia?

@heysus What? The genius involved in marrying a rich man? Are you kidding?
