Ths is a mnemonic that is similar to the old one, simple for the young, and, for students already compelled to memorize so much, it is only a mere deviation from another catchprase already firmly etched in their memory banks...(!)

I teach astronomy in Hong Kong. If we retain only eight planets:

My Very Erudite Mother Just Saved Us Nerds.

Ah, but if we must include ALL solar system bodies which are in hydrostatic equilibrium, then the list moving outward from the Sun and outward from any prime body (hint: what we traditionally call a planet) would be the following:

Mercury
Venus
Earth
Moon
Mars
Ceres
Jupiter
Io
Europa
Ganymede
Callisto.
Saturn
Mimas
Enceladus
Tethys
Rhea
Titan
Iapetus
Uranus
Ariel
Umbriel
Titania
Oberon
Miranda
Neptune
Triton
Pluto
Haumea
Makemake (cousin of Likelike?)
Eris

This means one would have to come up with a mnemonic that encompasses 30 planetary bodies:

M V E M M C J I E G C S M E T R T I U A U T O M N T P H M E

Being so long, the whole idea of A mnemonic, typically a simple sentence, readily falls apart. But a sentence 30 words long is not simple. So one ends up with multiple sentences (mnemonics) as in:

My Very Erotically Mysterious Mother Chastised Jealous Idiots.
Every Gentleman Cad Succumbed Mercilessly.
Even Titans Retreat Timidly In Unctuous Anticipation Unanimously Terrified Of Mom.
Never Think Perfidious Homilies May Enlighten.

The genius of Copernicus was that he simplified Ptolemy (and put us on the road to the scientific method). 30 planets are just too complicated. I like planets, major moons, and planetoids to describe the heavenly bodies in hydrostatic equilibrium.

Must Venerable Erudite Mnemonicists Crush Just Suppositions, Utilizing No Permanent Hypothetical End?

Might Voldemort's Evil Minions Cancel Joviality, Suspend Undervalued Nobodies, Punish House Elves?

Actually, I think the heavy lifting falls to the party who claim their planetary and sub-planetary criteria are sound enough that we need to bother with this nonsense, and not to the overly clever types throwing themselves into the task of coming up with a mnemonic that sticks.

For more lasting scientific information, as a lagniappe, here is a mnemonic for the periods of the Paleozoic Era, the Carboniferous divided in the North American fashion, somewhat irreverent and anti-biblical:
