The article mentions implementing "so-called congestion pricing".
What's "so-called" about it?

Trump is the most corrupt politician in the country. He took over that position from Mitch McConnell.

Say what you want about Bernie. He grew up in Brooklyn. Attended public schools as well as Brooklyn College. Even though he still thinks we use subway tokens I’d highly doubt as president he’d hold a grudge against the city and try to stymie our programs that improve our quality of life and security. Heck he would even praise our literacy programs.

@Merrill R. Frank - "He grew up in Brooklyn. Attended public schools as well as Brooklyn College. "
Yes, but he couldn't wait to transfer away from Brooklyn College as soon as he could so that his degree wouldn't be from Brooklyn College! :)
Bernie's version of "I Love Paris"
I love Brooklyn for my accent.
I love Brooklyn for my youth.
I love Brooklyn 'cause you voters can't be beat there.
I love Brooklyn 'cause you praise me on the street there.
I love Brooklyn 'cause you love me.
Every place I go, you cheer.
I love Brooklyn, and what i love most about Brooklyn
Is I got out of here. :)

"Mr. Trump responded to the story by saying on Twitter that such a (sea) wall would be “costly, foolish & environmentally unfriendly.”"
He would know about costly, fooish & environmentally unfriendly walls.

All the best ideas... two new rail tunnels under the Hudson, and congestion pricing ... maybe some sort of storm surge protection... Trump is against them.
That guy cannot be pushed out of the White House fast enough.

This is more of Trump's scorched earth policy towards his past home of New York City, where he played at being a millionaire but forever felt humiliated by the ensconced social types, and real business overlords.
God it's awful when the terrible two year old - instead of throwing his applesauce on the floor, smashes tunnels and bridges, and precludes measures to protect the City from guaranteed future flooding.

If Trump blocks congestion pricing I’ll vote for him no matter what.

'Transit officials, Mr. Fallon said in his opening monologue, were “shutting it down for us because BTS will be putting on an epic performance.”'
But Grand Central did not shut down for them. It closes to the public at 2am anyway:
"At 2 a.m., when the terminal closes to the public, the band had two hours to perform before the cleaning staff came in to clean the floors ahead of the 5:15 a.m. reopening."
But okay.

I continue to urge Sane people to take advantage of the loser's insistence to not let New Yorkers join the Homeland in'Security protection racket: gather equally outraged people who can no longer travel and fight to end the protection racket itself. Papers-pleasery like PreCheck and RealCreepyID has NO place in a free country.
Nor does spite-ocracy—rule by vindictiveness—and the loser needs to quit attacking New York's Sane policies and goals...or better yet just quit.

Let's stop protecting the 5th avenue Trump Tower. he doesn't live here anymore - he's a Floridian - no need for the expense to keep barriers outside of the Trump tower.

@Daphne philipson You know, you're right! What on earth are we wasting our resources on a place where he no longer lives more than 180 days a year? Thanks for pointing this out.

"add dance time to your commute"
None of the BTS songs I know fit the "And Finally" scenario, but coincidentally, this Walk the Moon cardio classic was playing here in the hotel restaurant, and the title really almost fits: (I think I worked off my breakfast just listening to it, dancing on the inside.)
"Shut Down and Dance"
tune of "Shut Up and Dance"
The busy transit head
Decided to agree.
And so we went and said:
Shut down and dance with me!
The plan was done in secrecy
We said:
Ooh, hoo, shut down and dance with me!
We worked and worked all through the night.
To make the video turn out right.
And then we quickly cleaned up the site
Where we said:
Ooh, hoo, shut down and dance with me.

is DeBlasio still giving Trump towers extra security?

No doubt the Kushners are enjoying perks from the city. If so, isn't it time to curtail them?

Who could possibly be surprised that Donald Trump has opened up the next salvo against New York City?
There's certainly no love between him and the place he once called home -- and he knows it.
In fact after escaping virtually unscathed from the impeachment proceedings, there's evidence that he has taken on a new vigor in going after all those whom he believes have crossed him at one time or another.
Do we really want four more years of this?
Think about it. VOTE.

@N. Smith indeed he is Donald Grudge.
