We should stop calling Trump’s events rallys... they are concerts.

I believe that trump is totally and completely innocent...of honesty, humility, humanity, and of any respect toward those he disagrees with. Also, trump never lets facts and data get in the way of his logic and reasoning.

I'm hoping Warren Buffet uses his CSX railroad to send Mr. PresentDunce 100 car-loads of 'clean coal' ...

Of course doesn't understand why he was impeached. He probably hasn't even read bothered what he has been accused of. That figures. Trump never reads the articles - he only looks at the pictures.

Gives further support for the argument that the, “Us,” in, “I would like you to do us a favor, though,” is trumpspeak for, “Me.”
Remember, he views any investigations of himself as attacks on the country. He is neither willing nor able to differentiate between the two.

I know I should be accustomed to Trump's ignorance of US history by now. He keeps referring to his situation as "Impeachment lite." The truth is, compared to Johnson's, Nixon's, Clinton's offenses, Trumps are far worse than any committed by his predecessors.
Maybe he can brag about THAT.

Donald J. Trump's a New York real estate agent. He lost the 2016 presidential election by 3,000,000 votes. An archaic Electoral College allowed him to walk away with the election. And before that Supreme Court justices APPOINTED George W. Bush president in a stolen election that allowed him to walk away with the presidency. The Republican Party has the country very well tied-up politically and I for one expect that Donald J. Trump will persevere in 2020. Only a MASSIVE turnout by Democrats and Independents will change that and frankly that will never happen. Trump is America, warts, big-mouth and all.

@Dusty Chaps ...I beg to disagree. There will be a massive turn out who will vote trump out of office. It could be anyone from Biden to Buttigieg to Klobuchar. All are eminently qualified for the presidency, and to clean out the cesspool created by the current occupant of the Oval Office.

What does trump-gop senators & the "faithful" have to say about Christianity Today's lead story:
"…the facts in this instance are unambiguous: The president of the United States attempted to use his political power to coerce a foreign leader to harass and discredit one of the president’s political opponents. That is not only a violation of the Constitution; more importantly, it is profoundly immoral.
...He himself has admitted to immoral actions … about which he remains proud. His Twitter feed alone—with its habitual string of mischaracterizations, lies, and slanders—is a near perfect example of a human being who is morally lost and confused.
We believe the impeachment hearings have made it absolutely clear… that President Trump has abused his authority for personal gain and betrayed his constitutional oath. The impeachment hearings have illuminated the president’s moral deficiencies for all to see. This damages the institution of the presidency, damages the reputation of our country, and damages both the spirit and the future of our people. None of the president’s positives can balance the moral and political danger we face under a leader of such grossly immoral character.”

@johnw
Most Evangelicals have reportedly closed ranks around Trump and think the CT article is way off base. Figures.

After long days leaching logic and sloughing off brain cells to Mr. Trump's version of reality, our house (at least) gets a sanity fill-up from the late shows.
Best comment ever about impeachment could be the Colbert/Batiste jingle: "just one thing that you've got to know/ Trump said do us a favor, though!". Certainly the best musical interpretation to date.

“Late Night Wonders,” huh? Not exactly cutting edge satire or incisive takes on our President. More like frat boys mouthing off during a night chugging down beers. The dumming down of American culture has even impacted the world of creative entertainment. These guys are no John Stewart and George Carlin.

I think before long the Trump is going to say impeachment is something to be proud of and it shows how he's been a victim of an unfair process.

I love Trevor Noah's calling out the "we" that Trump used in his rambling. Anybody who's been paying attention knows that Trump rarely uses the term "we" when speaking of his acts, and who he's acting on behalf of, as POTUS. It's always about "I,I,I,Me,Me, Me, Me..." It's real rarity that he uses terms like, "The American people want..." He always speaks as if he were a king that is doing things for himself. In his mind, I fear he believes both are true. That he American people should just enjoy the ride on his robe-tails. This "we" stuff may actually be a first, and I, for one, did take notice of it. The fact that it stood out so much to Mr. Noah, myself, and others, shows how unusual it was. Now if only voters can just make that offensive little piggy go, "we, we, we", all the way home in November.

@Brian W. Of course, Trump did tell Zelensky "WE want you to do US a favor, though"

The Donald complains about dishwashers, toilets, etc. But if he outlawed voice-prompted triage tech support, even I'd vote for him.

Thanks for pointing it out Trevor! And I was, is only me who flinches every time Trump refers to himself at interviews as 'we', like he's Julius Caesar or something.
There's no 'we' buddy.

I think we should start calling her Phoebe 'Fourth-Waller' Bridge. Sure, that name's a real mouthful, but it's time to acknowledge her incredible knack for bringing the viewers in, without taking us out of the story. Comic genius, that is. Can't wait to see what she creates next.
