If TikTok remains harmless fun for teenagers that's fine. But as soon as they encourage kids to sell their souls to brands that a different thing. (Also have you seen the unusually high amount of right wing propaganda posts that slip into the feeds?!!)

TikTok is equal or worse than other tech companies.

Like Vine, except even more juvenile and vulgar. Great if you're 13 years old, I guess.

“Countless young people goof off On their phones for hours hoping for a hit”. How utterly sad and isolating.

From what I am seeing here, I conclude that TikTok provides absolutely zero cultural, creative, or intellectual contributions to society. Utter non-value-add nonsense.

TT--as we insiders call it--is way kewler than bottle flipping, which is soooo last month. TT will be here 4 eva!

How about a platform that encourages kindness, courtesy, and generosity?

@Michael Smith, there is such a platform and it's called real life, not in a car, and unarmed. Watch people move through a crowded airport and compare that to drivers at a busy intersection and note the differences.

@Michael Smith As an older fan of TIK TOK, I have seen the platform used for just what you asked for on numerous occasions. However just as in real life there are always those who deem themselves better then others or like the proverbial bad apple spoil the bunch. It is a fun little app and I have enjoyed the people I hace connected with.

@Michael Smith That's not relevant to this article. You get out of Tik Tok what you put in. Consumers and young people aren't excited by an app that promotes being friendly; they're enthralled by the opportunity to create, make friends, laugh, and discuss current events in a satirical way. Just like any global social media app, there are always bad apples, but the majority of the Tik Tok community is nothing but supportive and enthusiastic.
