Hopefully the small market teams will force a strike next year and bring sanity to MLB with a hard salary cap ala the NFL which, by the way, has left MLB in the dust when it comes to fan support. No, I'm not holding my breath on any kind of a MLB salary cap.
I love the capitalist system, even marginal talent can get paid millions. but don't feel badly, the giys and gals paying them are Billionaires.

@Ron The guys and gals paying them are the folks sitting at home watch the games on television because they can't afford to take their kids to the ballpark!!

Any player who makes much over one million dollars a year is overpaid.
Don't waste your money going to games or buying merchandise.
You are getting ripped off.
Pre 1945 baseball was tarnished by racism.
App. 1945-1980 was baseball's golden era.
Post 1980 baseball was ruined by PEDS and money.

While this good for players is it good for fans? Is baseball getting so expensive that a whole class of fans is priced out. In Los Angeles the Dodgers tv deal was so pricey that only one cable company could afford to carry the Dodgers and now a majority of fans can’t watch from home.
